He knew that too, but still missed being with her.

He’d found some model cars for him. The cars were from the fifties, an era that Jim loved, and they were going to put them together while he was there.
I’m hoping that when I get back, you and I can go on a run together.

After talking to her for a bit more, he could tell she was tired and they closed the connection. Mac was going to have a good time, try not to think too much about how he missed his wife, and hang out with his brother. He figured that two out of the three wasn’t so bad.

He looked over at the piece that he’d gotten some time ago, a Rickson crock that he absolutely loved. Nikki had told him that there was going to be a Rickson expert at the showing, and that she could tell him something about the piece. He was looking forward to knowing anything he could about the man and the crock. This was going to be the best time he’d had in a very long time, and he was glad that Darcy was here with him.
