Melody wedged herself between David and Jonathan.  Jonathan pulled her down onto his lap while grinning widely at the camera.

Melody exclaimed with joy, “Mary!  Mark!  Sweet Beth!  Oh, it’s so good to see you guys!  I can’t wait to get back home.  I’ve got so much to share with you.”

“Are you alright?” they all asked in unison.

“More than alright!  Right now I’m about the happiest I’ve been in my whole life.  You won’t believe all the adventures Jonathan J and I have experienced while here.  And I don’t know if David has told you yet, but we have a grown daughter, Melissa.”  Melody tugs Melissa over to them as she’d stood sort of at the edge of the screen.

Everyone back home gape at the screen in stunned silence.  Mark managed to find his tongue.  “Well, well, well.  We’re gonna be blessed with another Melody by the name of Melissa.  You’re gonna drive the males here insane young woman.”  He managed to reign in his grin then asked, “That is, you’re not Bonded are you?”

Melissa smiles and answers, “Not yet, though I’ve been looking.”

Mark exhales.  “Well, Jon we’ll have to have a whole security detail just to follow her around to keep her safe from all the hungry male eyes we have of late.  I bet half will declare their Stirring in twenty-four hours time.”

Melissa giggles, knowing he’s trying to make her feel pretty, like her mom.

“You are the spitting image of your mother, except for your hair and those gorgeous blue eyes,” Mary states with a little envy.

Jonathan is rubbing Melody’s thigh and hugging her rather tightly against his lap with his other arm.  She wiggles to get a bit more room.  When he begins nuzzling her neck, right there, before the whole world she grows embarrassed and hisses in a whisper as she turns her head to look at him, “Jon, now you behave yourself.”

Mary exclaims with a giggle, “Awww, Mel, let the poor starved man have his fun.  After all he’s been without you for far too long.”

Melody looks back at the screen and says, “Well, that he has, I know, now anyway.  But he has a brother sitting just over there who is not appreciating his romantic actions.”

“Brother?  I thought you must have been pregnant with Melissa when you were kidnapped!  And like before - Jonathan just didn’t know.  A brother?” Mary exclaims with complete surprise.  “I don’t understand?”

Melody calls out, “Come on Jonathan J, don’t be shy.  I want you to meet the dearest friend in the whole world and beyond.”

Everyone on the screen is looking in the direction Melody called.

Pushing himself off the couch he walks to her, forcing David and Melissa to get behind him.  He takes a seat in David’s empty chair and plunks Mel onto
his
lap as he looks back at the screen.

Gasps abound and the friends look from one to the other.

“Ooohh, la-la, Mel, what have you gone and gotten yourself?  Book ends with muscles and blue eyes?  You lucky dog you!” Mary croons while Mark darts her a dirty look.

Melissa smirks and so does her mom as they watch Mary and Beth’s glittering eyes dance between gazing at the two men.

“I think so!” Melody admits as her backside is squeezed tighter into the lap of Jonathan J.  He’s rather enjoying the look of distress on his brother’s face, just as his brother had been unconcerned at his own distress earlier.

Melody abruptly stood and whirled around.  “I want the two of you to stop what you’re doing.  This isn’t a male peeing contest!  I’m finally talking with my friends who your grandfather has kept me from for too danged long!  Now I mean it.  I love you both, but you’re driving me nuts with your competitive macho moves.”

“Yum, yum,” comes Mary’s voice.  “Have you tired a sandwich yet, Mel?  I hear it can be fun!” she asks teasing, knowing it is irritating the men.

All the males moan at the same time, on both sides of the screen.

Melody turns back to the camera trying to hide her smile and not succeeding.  “That’d be a - it’s not
ever
, ever gonna happen - Mary, so stop drooling.”

Mary retorts with, “Well, it’s gonna be fun, no matter what, gal.  I wish Mark had an identical twin clone!”

Mark retorted with, “Don’t even go there Mary.  What’s gotten into you anyway?”

       Mary gave Mel a wink.

Elizabeth
looked at David and asked, “Dav, sweetheart, when will you all be home?”

He looked at his mom before answering.  Her smile told him it was okay to share.  “Sis and I are setting up things so we can return back tomorrow.  Jonathan J has a few things to wrap up in the labs, but he thinks he’ll be ready to go by
noon
.  Of course we’re all leaving together.  We don’t want any disappearances to happen again.”

That night Melody slept with her original Jonathan, since he was so thin and in greater need of her for the first night they are together.

Jonathan J was fuming.  David and Melissa played cards with him for a while to get his mind off things.  Then JJ asked them both to help him in the labs to get his experiments ready for transfer to the new location.  He was working on alternative Earth fuel sources.

CHAPTER 13  *  *

HOME COMING

Once they landed by private jet and debarked, then walked over to the stretch limo waiting in the hanger, they all began to breathe easier, except for an alert Jonathan J.  He had been fearing they would try and take Melody away from him, but no such attempt had occurred.

The limo drove slowly through the security gates and pulled down into the under-ground garage of their beach front home. Melody couldn’t stop reaching across the seat facing her and grasping Melissa’s nervous hands.  Her other hand went to her beloved Jonathan J, feeling his tenseness since before they’d left.  She knew about what he was thinking, she knew him well.

They had decided that their people only needed to know that Jonathan was twins.  No need to expose their grandfather’s experiment.  They would privately tell the Jontu’s back home.

Being the men were identical they felt their people could easily accept that their Bonding with one woman would be deemed acceptable.  Given the nature of their Stirring and Bonding genenetics.

Last night Melody had chosen to sleep with Jonathan, since he had been suffering the most recent.

Jonathan J would next be her bedmate tonight.  They would alternate, one night at a time.  That was the best she could come up with after discussing it calmly (after several aborted attempts at calmness) with both men.  They hadn’t liked it, at all, but they did see the dilemma and assured her that though neither liked it, they felt it was fair under the strange circumstances.

When they got out of the limo, Melody was hugged and kissed by everyone.  And to Jonathan J’s complete surprise, so was he.  He was treated as a long lost brother and heir, which he was.  Melissa was instantly the darling of the household.  Everyone there kept telling her how beautiful she was and that they would have to all work as her protectors until the Bonding began, and they felt that would be soon enough.

To everyone’s surprise Jonathan’s aunts had arrived the day before and they greeted Jonathan J with much ado of hugs, tears and royal pride.  His sweet Aunt Cassandra assured him she has scolded her father for separating him from his parents.  However, in honesty, most could understand his scientific needs in the doing.

Jonathan J was known now by all his family and his parents were overly anxious to talk with him.

His mother’s sister Aunt Cherise twittered about, trying to make him at ease.  She was telling him how very proud they all were that he had survived such a horrible, unbelievable ordeal and that their sweet Melody had braved the situation with the finesse of the Princess she was now.

Melissa, as the first blood Princess from Earth was showered with their affection as well.

“Seems your aunts are the spokespersons for your planet, Jon,” Melody stated with a laugh after she had rescued both of her Jonathans from the elder ladies chattering incessantly.

“Twins?  Did you say twins?!” Aunt Cherise squealed and clapped her hands with glee.

Melody nodded and laughed.  “They will be fraternal, but yes, they are twin boys.  I imagine they will be quite different from one another.  Don’t you think?  Having different dads?”

Aunt Cassandra thought about it for a few minutes then suggested, “Perhaps not so different after all.  But it will be exciting to find out, won’t it, my dear?”

It was surprising to Melody how quickly she fell back into her usual routine, except for having two concerned and nearly hovering husbands always around.  It had it’s ups and its downs.

Mary and Elizabeth came into the dining room with Melissa in tow, all were grinning.

“What’s up?” Melody asked, anticipating another grand adventure was about to be discussed.  They’d been having a wonderful time together since she’d returned.
Elizabeth
was like Melissa’s sister and Mary adored her too.  Shopping, sight seeing and even doing some singing together in their music room with the men and staff as their audience had been on their agenda.  All the ladies couldn’t seem to get enough of one another.

“We’re having a par-tie this week!” Mary yelled out.

“Oh, we are, are we?  What are we party-ing about?  Life?  Having the cutest men on this planet following us around like love sick puppies?” Melody asked teasing the girls.

“We’ve been talking and looking on the view screens, helping Melissa search for a Bondable mate.  Sooo, we’re gonna invite about fifty eligible guys over for a nice dinner at the famous Jontu’s and Zanlea’s homestead.  Missy can ogle them up close and see if anything Stirs her in the right way.  Whatdayasay?”
Elizabeth
asked with a wide and infectious grin.

“Well, I better run this one by my Jonathans, just to be sure they won’t freak out.  It does sound like fun though.  And Melissa certainly could use a few more men to consider.  Maybe she’ll get good vibes from some of them.”  Melody knew she would talk her men into it, at least she hoped she could.

The men had finally made great headway with getting along together.  However, the first week there they had three altercations.  After that they tended to settle down, nursing their bruised jaws, stomachs and egos.  Realizing all it was doing was getting Melody to tsk, tsk and frown at them both, like they were little boys misbehaving.

At one point after a really bad fight, the very last one, she informed them that if they did it again, they could both fly back home to their parents and she would stay here raising their children by herself.  That didn’t sit too well with either man, so they came to a truce of sorts and have managed to even tolerate each other fairly well.

In the labs they worked without squabble with one another, even admiring each other’s talents and ideas.

The next day Melody was laying out on the beach where the water would come up to her chest with every fourth wave, keeping her cool and loving the sun.  Both Jonathans and their friends were nearby, enjoying the surf as well.
