There was total pandemonium by the time they'd finished the song together.  Jonathan and Mel bowed and were startled as flashes began going off and the size of the crowd looked like it had no end.

The four acre area that had originally been filled comfortably with people was now overrun and running over.  As far as they could see there were people.  Horns were blowing somewhere and there was a helicopter buzzing overhead.

They closed the curtain then shut the steel folding door behind it and put on some taped music to play through the speakers.  Jonathan picked up Melody and was about to run with her to the house for safety, when Mark came running up from the back of the stage breathless.  His clothes were in tatters.

“Jon, we had to get more security!  There are over three thousand people out there the police told me!  They've broken down fences, drove up into people’s yards, and generally just made a mess of things.  Security alarms are going off everywhere!  There are professional news people out there, everyone wants an interview with the now famous singing Jontu family.  They think we're a rock band living incognito here!  Dr. David is secretly some famous member of Kizz Me or Up2 or something like that.  It's wild!

       “The house!”  Jonathan said.

“The house is secured.  I got the chopper to hover so we can get out of here in one piece.”  Then taking a deep breath and grinning he added, “But, Jon . . . I've had one heck of a great time!”

Jon laughed too as he still held a wiggling Mel, “I've had the best time of my life.  That is, outside of having it in bed with this wild woman!”

“Then it's agreed, I didn't spoil everything with the party?” Melody asked worriedly.

“We'll have this mess cleaned up with no trouble.  Seeing you and being with you on this stage has been one of the highlights of my life!  It was unreal!”

Jonathan wouldn't let Mel stand up on her own, while he held her up pressed against his hip.  “Be still little girl!  I have you right where I want you!  Let's go Mark.  Dr. David, is everyone in here?  Did Mary get in?  Where are the bodyguards?”

“Yep!  We're all here,” David said as he also held Beth close.  Mary came up and put an arm around Mark.  Three strong guards stepped forward for Jonathan to see them.  The other band members could sneak out later.

“Well, like I always say, let's get the show on the road!”  Mark said as he climbed up a ladder and opened a double door in the roof that had been used to lower some equipment in earlier for the show.  A rope ladder lowered and they began climbing out.

The police were trying to herd everyone away but they were difficult to move because the audience hoped that Dr. David's group would come out and sing yet again.  As they saw them going into the helicopter they yelled and waved as more light focused on them and the hovering chopper.

Jonathan and his family were laughing and more excited than they had ever been.

CHAPTER 4  *  *

DISNEY
WORLD

“Where to now?” Melody asked in her excitement.

Mark suggested enthusiastically, “How about the Contemporary Resort in
Orlando
?  They have a top floor of suites that I bet we can book four of quickly!”

“Jon, I'd love to visit Disney World again, I haven't been since two years before we met!” Melody said.

“That sounds like a lot of fun to me.  How about the rest of you?” Jon asked.  The grins answered his question.

Mark got on the phone and had everything arranged in just a few minutes.  Everyone was really excited about everything that had happened throughout the entire evening.  Their adrenalin was still pumping overtime.  Before they had time to calm down some they were already landing on the chopper pad at the hotel.

A group of people came out to help them with their luggage but they had none.  Jon tipped them good anyway for the effort.

They arrived on the secured floor.  After everyone saw their own large suites they went into Jon and Mel's to relax and continue their excitement together.

Jon took one good look at Mark and started laughing.

“What?  What's so funny, huh?” Mark asked curious.  Then everyone started laughing as they realized the humor in it.

“My man, those women almost stripped you naked!  If you hadn't been able to run so fast with those long legs of yours there's no telling when we could have found you!” Jonathan said with tears of laughter running down his face.

Mark looked down at himself and laughed as well.  “Yep!  They almost got me!  But I kept thinking about my sweet, jealous little Mary and it made my legs go a little faster,” he said with a sincere expression of his face.

“You liar!  You just became frightened because those women wouldn't line up for you.  That’s all it was!” Mary laughed and threw a pillow at him.  “Those gals were serious.  Mel, did you hear the things they were saying?  These men of ours are now their love gurus!  We better keep a very . . . tight . . . leash on them from now on when we're out in public.”  She had been tugging Mark over to her until she made him sit down, then she promptly sat in his lap.

“That's the truth.  If Jon hadn't held onto me so tight they would have torn me away and probably killed me, just to touch his extremely sexy body.”  Melody had been tiptoeing her fingers up his chest.

“Hey!  My little sexy singer, it wasn't until
you
started singing that I had to get the security men to protect the stage.  Those men had become raging bulls, their killer scent was everywhere.  I was forced  to protect my precious little flower,” Jonathan said.

He began to growl like a tiger.  “I had to scare them off with my own killer scent.  One whiff of me and they knew I meant business!”

Melody giggled delightedly as he tickled her.

“Let's get some drinks and have a little dance party for ourselves?”  David suggested.

“Sounds great!” everyone yelled at once.

Jon loped across the floor and checked the bar supplies out, then got on the phone and placed a varied order.

Beth got out her music pod and David found a hook up and the music began to flow.

Jonathan looked at Mark then called and asked if they might have a couple of the clothing stores opened for an hour.  Since they didn't have any luggage he guaranteed they would spend a rather large sum tonight if they would open a store.

“Well, everyone, let's go shopping!” Jon said as he headed out the door still tickling Mel as he went.

“Jon, this is going to be so much fun!” Melody stated with giggling excitement.

“All the better to seduce you with, my little kitten,” he answered as he nuzzled her neck.

The lights were being turned on just as they arrived at the two stores that were opened for them.  The choices were a little limited, it was strictly casual wear, but this was vacation central.

Mel picked out several long skirts and tank tops to wear under large tees and a few long jerseys to sleep in.  Then she located a package of Minnie underwear.

After crossing the patio to the other store they added more and got different choices.  The women bought several nightgowns and some shoes and caps along with more skirts, blouses and some fun jewelry.

The men are busy buying silly stuff, like all men will do if left to their own devices,
Melody thought to herself with a giggle at their enthusiasm.

The girls also picked up some scarves and hats and were heading for the cashier when Melody spotted Jonathan walking up wearing a Goofy hat.

“Now that is you!” Mel laughed.

“I thought you'd like it, that's why I got you one,” he said as he plopped another on her head.

Looking over his purchases she noted that he hadn't gotten any underwear or pajamas.  “Jon, didn't you forget something?”

       “Not a thing!  Why?”

“You haven't gotten anything to sleep in and I don't see any underwear here,” Mel stated ,as she continued to survey his clothes.

“That's because as you well know, we sleep nude, and David grabbed a pack of underwear for me,” Jonathan announced.

He saw a shy grin come over the young cashier's face.  “I don't mean to be nosey or anything but . . . don't I know you?  I . . . I mean aren't ya'll famous or something?  You three men, her, and that woman over there,” the cashier motioned to indicate
Elizabeth
, “look awful familiar to me.”  Then she had a look of inspiration, “Are you members of a band?”

“We sure are!” David drawled as he sidled up holding onto his wife, Elizabeth, who they all call Beth for short.  They both were wearing Pirate hats.  “We just left a concert an hour ago.  We had to leave in a hurry and left all our luggage behind.”  He was obviously soaking up the excitement this was causing her.

“What's your name?  The band's name I mean.”  She was blushing brightly.

“Dr. David and The Renewals,” Jonathan answered suddenly, flashing his gorgeous smile and blue eyes at her.  Her face became scarlet.  She was enraptured by the smiles and grins that all three men were giving her.

“Could I possibly get a ticket to your next concert?  That is if it's no trouble.”

“What's your name?” David asked then realized that she had on a name badge.  “Oh, it's Amanda.  Well Mandy, we'll be more than happy to send you four tickets to the next concert.  Will you receive them if they're sent here to the store in a plain envelope with your name on it?”

       “I surely will!”

“They'll be here in two weeks then,” David concluded with a wide grin, flaunting his charm to the max.

Everyone looked at him with utter surprise.

“Well, I forgot to tell all of you that we have an  agent and we're to play in the Jacksonville Bowl in three weeks.  It'll be a sell-out!”  David saw they weren't convinced.  “Besides, I told him that half of the profits would go into cancer research, the other half into our Foundation Fund.  He talked with me between sets tonight.”

“But in three weeks?!” Melody was suddenly afraid.

Jonathan felt her fear instantly.  Turning to look at her he put her fingers to his lips and said, “My heart, you would be ready if it was again tonight.  You are fantastic!  It's the rest of us who have to work at it.  If Mark and Beth agree . . . will you do it?  We could earn a lot of money and all for a worthy cause.  Besides, I really, really enjoyed it!”

Everyone looked expectantly at Melody.  A slow grin spread across her face.  Finally she said, “Like it?  I loved it!  Let's do it!”

A small crowd of employees had started gathering outside the wall of glass doors.  They knew that the group of people inside were famous because they had seen them on an
eleven o'clock
newscast a little earlier being flown away.  The name of the group wasn't known just yet, but they had been living incognito on a beach for the past two years and one of them was Dr. David Jontu and another was his famous wife and scientist, Elizabeth Jontu.

The announcement that they would be able to do this again made them all happy.  They hugged and kissed one another until Melody remembered where they were.

“Jon, let's get back to our rooms,” Melody said pointedly looking out at the enlarging group of people.

As Jonathan paid with a debit card he asked the girl, “Amanda, do you think that we can enjoy our visit here for the next few days without too much publicity?”

She looked at them all and proudly stated, “We don't allow autograph hounds, photographers, Paparazzi or news people to bother our guests.  We have surveillance cameras and for anyone to be bothered is just not allowed.”  Then looking very pleased she added, “If I may be of further service just dial the number on your phone and ask for the Amanda that works in this store.”

Jonathan tried to tip her but she refused, saying tipping wasn’t allowed for store clerks.  So he tossed a hundred onto the counter and said it was to buy herself and a friend dinner.

As they walked out they were pleasantly surprised that none of the people asked them any questions other than if they could be of assistance.  Jon asked three of them to help with all the bags and they headed back to the elevators.

Jon was the only one who had thought to bring the key that was needed to get to the secured floors via the elevator.

After all the bags were placed on a couch Jon tipped the men and they left.  Still wearing his silly Goofy hat Jonathan walked over to the table that room service had prepared while they were away.  He began mixing a pitcher of melon coladas and munching on some strawberries dipped in sweetened vanilla yogurt whipped with stiff cream.

Mark and David started searching through the songs that were available on their iPod’s.  With twin hoops and yells they found one that they both really liked.

The women were sorting through the bags separating out their individual clothes.  David tugged
Elizabeth
away and began dancing as soon as the music started.

Melody was always pleased when she saw the two of them together.  They were perfect for each other and
Elizabeth
kept David wrapped around her little finger and he adored her.  She had to give her credit, she knew how to handle her man.

Elizabeth
had begun “handling David” even before she was born.  They had a psychic connection while she was still in utero, Melody remembered with a pained expression.  It certainly had caused David a lot of distress back then in his late teen and early manhood weeks.

Melody began to unwind after she had slurped down one and a half of the large glasses Jon kept handing her.  With a giggle she realized he was acting just like a little boy, he was so excited.  He’d turned the Goofy hat around backwards so he could dance with Mary, then their daughter-in-law, Elizabeth.

“Mel, how can you stand it?” Mary asked after she caught her breath from Mark’s last dance with her.
