“I want…” she managed to croak out. “I want it all.”

The look she gave Holly left her in no doubt she was telling the truth, and Holly was ready to give it.

There were no complaints as Holly carefully twisted them around as one, easing Tori onto her back.

Tori looked up at her, desire clouding her eyes, no room for anything else. She reached up for Holly, but Holly stepped back, shaking off her clothes urgently. She didn’t want any barriers between.

Then, with Tori on her back, she eased her fingers back in, pushing home her love. She wanted to fill Tori up physically and emotionally, leave her in no doubt of her intentions to love her totally, fully.

In response, Tori closed her eyes and let out a guttural moan, her head thrusting backwards in time with Holly.

When Holly went all in, her fist inside Tori, Tori’s eyelids flickered open and she held Holly in place.

Tori’s pupils were now fully dilated, black pools of lust.

“Are you all in?” she gasped, breathing rapidly.

Holly nodded, leaning forward, pressing down as she took Tori’s mouth with her own.

Tori cried out, but Holly pressed some more.

Tori spread her legs wider and cried out again. “Oh, yes!” she said, simultaneously pushing against Holly and pulling her down. It was almost too much for Tori to bear, Holly could tell. But she was going to bear it, Holly knew.

When Holly started up an insistent rhythm with the tips of her fingers inside Tori, Tori’s face twitched, then bliss spread across it. Happiness had a name, and it was Tori. This was the moment Holly treasured: when the world rocked to their beat, the two of them synced together. It was a moment just for them, engraved with their initials.

Holly paused, snapping a mental image for safekeeping. Then she eased the pad of her thumb over Tori’s clitoris and Tori’s eyes sprang open. She shook her head.

“Not yet,” she gasped, wriggling and groaning underneath Holly, every move she made shuddering through her body. “You’re coming with me.”

Tori pushed herself up into an almost sitting position, then stopped, mouth open, eyes closed as she acclimatised to the angle.

However Holly spun it, Tori was hers for the taking. But she wasn’t going to take. She was going to do as she was told.

Then Tori reached forward and slid into Holly, pulling back as it got too much for her.

“Argh, fuck,” Holly said. She hadn’t been expecting that. She pulled in her stomach, then pushed forward, wanting Tori now like she never had before. She met Tori’s thrusts full on with her own. She didn’t want to wait anymore. All the tension of the yesterday fell away as Holly spread her legs, opening herself up to Tori.

When she pushed into Tori again, their eyes locked, their mouths coming together in a blur of teeth and groans, their positions increasing the pressure on both of them.

“I can’t…” Tori began. “I can’t get you where I want you.” She paused, her breath shredding the air. “Down?” she asked.

Within seconds they were off the sofa and on their knees in front of each other, teeth clashing, hands reaching. Tori found Holly first, slid inside and fucked her hard.

Holly clenched her muscles to stay upright, then pushed down on Tori, bubbles floating up her body, surrender wrapping itself around her shoulders. Sunshine glinted off the mirrored wall and looking behind Tori, she saw Tori’s arm moving and herself being fucked. It was an odd sensation. Without averting her eyes, Holly reached down and began to fuck Tori again too, watching her body sway anew.

Tori let out a cry as she rocked her body to Holly’s rhythm, never stopping her own.

And then they were clinging to each other, taut nipples banging together, flesh pressed, fingers gripping.

Tori’s head wobbled one way, then the other, but she was focused on Holly, her mouth reaching to Holly’s ear. “I want us to come together — me and you,” she said.

Tori’s voice came to Holly through a fog, but she nodded. Tori’s fingers moved inside her, finding a new spot, somewhere Holly wasn’t even aware of. When she closed her eyes she saw lasers, heard a pounding bass. It was her heart, sounding out a new tune.

Then Tori’s thumb connected with Holly’s clit, its pad circling, honing.

Holly sucked in air with a gasp: it wasn’t going to take long.

Holly dragged her fingers up and down Tori in long, wet strokes, then slid back in. She wanted to tell Tori how crazy she was about her, how happy she was with her, but concentration couldn’t be spared for anything else right now. She’d have to show her in deeds, not words.

“Fucking hell,” Tori said, eyes closed, knuckles white.

Holly knew just what she meant.

A swipe from Tori, one of her own, a thrust, one back. They were rocking, they were nearly rolling.

Tori toppled first, her whole body spasming. She clung to Holly, her fingers digging into her shoulder.

“I’m coming!” she gasped. “Don’t stop!”

So Holly didn’t, the words sugar-coating her ears. Tori’s body shook, gripping Holly inside and out as she fell over the edge, freefalling into her orgasm with style and panache. Holly didn’t think she’d ever seen her look more beautiful.

Seeing her only spurred Holly on: her body was alight with pleasure, and ready.
So ready
.

Tori’s gaze was focused even as she shook, pressing into and over Holly once more.

It was enough to send Holly flying. Pleasure crashed over her like a tsunami, cascading through her body with wild abandon. She came hard, muscles clenching, body shaking, her orgasm shredding every sense.

But Tori didn’t stop, kissing her lips, fucking her till she made it to the top once again.

“I love you so much,” Holly croaked as her second orgasm rattled through her, fucking Tori too until she climaxed again, holding onto Holly for dear life.

Nothing else mattered at all. The world could collapse, so long as she had Tori. And right at this moment, she had Tori and Tori had her. They clung to each other, still rocking, Holly’s skin coated in a glossy sheen of sweat.

She kissed Tori’s mouth tenderly, then they toppled to the ground together, landing in a mess of limbs, emotion and sticky love. Where one of them started and the other finished, Holly couldn’t tell. All she could tell was that the holiday was back on track. They were back on track. When Holly looked into Tori’s eyes, all she saw was what she felt for her too: rich, oily, wonderful love.

The only danger now was of them never leaving the flat today.

CHAPTER 7

“This gelato is off-the-scale good. How’s your pistachio?” Tori was holding Holly’s hand as they strolled down one of Rome’s glorious cobbled streets. Her senses were being assaulted by its lemony-ness and she’d succeeded in giving herself brain-freeze. Still, in this weather, she wasn’t complaining. Somebody had suddenly turned up the temperature, and it was so humid, Tori’s shirt was stuck to her back like royal icing.

Holly nodded in reply, her mouth too full to say anything.

They’d just sat on the Spanish Steps and perused the posh shops on Via Condotti and Via Del Corso. Now they were heading to the centre of the city, and into the thick, sticky crowds. Not for the first time, Tori wished they’d left earlier. Then again, she wasn’t going to complain
too
much.

She walked on, stopping to look in a local gift shop. It was selling cool homeware and accessories, and she tapped on the window, pulling Holly’s free hand to get her attention.

“What about that for Elsie?” she said, pointing. Holly’s toddler sister would go mad for it.

Holly followed the direction of Tori’s finger. “A chopping board? I’m not sure a three-year-old would thank us.”

Tori pursed her lips. “Not the chopping board, you dingbat. The egg and spoon thing. And the fluffy cat nearby. The cat looks just like Valentine — Elsie would love it.” Tori peered a little closer — the toy cat really did look like their own kitten, a ginger ball of cuteness.

Holly leaned in to look closer too, and there was a thwack as her head hit the glass. She rebounded off it, clutching her forehead and bent over. Her ice cream was also now on the floor in a sad, melted heap, like a piece of modern art. Tori was tempted to take a photo, but thought she should attend to her girlfriend first.

She raised a concerned hand up to Holly. “You okay? That sounded like it hurt.”

“It did hurt,” Holly replied, still bent over.

When she righted herself, Tori was wincing at her and pointing.

“What?”

Tori’s hand was wavering near to Holly’s mouth, and also to her T-shirt. “As well as dropping your ice cream, you’ve managed to spill it down your top.” Tori’s hand was still circling Holly’s face. “And it’s on your top lip, too.”

Holly tucked in her chin and sighed as she saw the brown ice cream. “Great. Just terrific. Why couldn’t I have bought vanilla? It wouldn’t have shown up as much.” She fished a tissue out of her pocket and dabbed at it for a few moments, but then stopped.

“It’s useless, isn’t it?”

Tori shook her head. “No it’s not. Here,” she said, putting her ice cream in Holly’s hand. “First, you’re going to eat some of mine, it’ll make you feel better. Then we’ll find a loo to sort the stain. And then we’re going to have an amazing day sightseeing.” She paused to check if Holly was on board. She was eating the ice cream at least, which was a good start.

Holly grumbled, returning the gelato. She rubbed her head again as Tori led her away.

“Let’s remember the street and come back tomorrow to get Elsie her present, okay? We can probably buy everyone’s presents there too, there was some cute stuff,” Tori said. “Come on, let’s get going. You already held me up enough this morning.”

“I held you up!?” Holly said, huffing. “I think you had just as much to do with it as me.”

Tori skipped away from Holly, licking her ice cream and laughing. “Might have,” she said with a grin.

Holly grinned back. “And I hope you remember our downtime pact, too — not just mindlessly doing tourist things. I want to experience the real Rome.”

Tori nodded. “We will. We can tick off these things in a couple of hours, then stroll the streets taking in the sights. I promise, we’ll split the day 50-50, okay? I won’t go into sightseeing overdrive.” She reached up and gave Holly a kiss on the cheek.

Holly’s shoulders relaxed. “There’s a McDonald’s over there — let me go in and try to sort out this stain.”

“Lead the way,” Tori replied.

***

Holly was sitting on their balcony watching the sunset, iPad on the table in front of her, reliving this morning with a grin on her face. She was putting it in her memory bank, storing it up for a rainy day when she was feeling blue.

They’d spent a brilliant day just walking the streets, stumbling on pieces of ancient history. By most people’s reckoning, Paris was the most romantic city in Europe, but Holly reckoned Rome had been dealt a duff hand in that assumption. For her, Rome won hands down. Or else she was finally in a romantic city with the person she was meant to be with. She supposed that could have something to do with it.

As if on cue, Tori emerged, hair frizzy from the hair-dryer, but still looking gorgeous to Holly. She loved the way all of Tori’s tops took on a whole new structure with the addition of her breasts inside them — it was something she loved on most women, and the thing that most saddened her about her own body. Being so tall, her own breasts were somewhat deflated. Still, she had her girlfriend’s to make up for it, which wasn’t a bad consolation prize.

Tori sat down opposite her, stifling a yawn. “So are you going to tell me what we’re doing tonight?” Tori paused, rubbing her eye before giving Holly her full attention. “By the way, you look devilishly handsome.” Her eyes trailed up and down Holly’s long frame, drinking her in.

Holly shivered, as her skin prickled all over. “Devilishly handsome? I’ll take that.” She paused: it was time for the big reveal. And now it was here, she was glad she’d thought of it. In the UK, Tori was always complaining Holly wasn’t romantic enough, so she’d pulled out all the stops for tonight. And given their trip so far, an injection of old-fashioned romance was just what the doctor ordered.

“Okay, I suppose it’s time,” Holly said. “Seeing as you planned the rest of the trip, I’ve booked us into a fancy restaurant tonight, as a celebration of our three-month anniversary.”

Tori’s face softened. “I always knew I could bring out the romantic in you.”

Holly laughed. “Well, you managed it, so well done.” She paused. “It’s March 17th, exactly three months since the infamous herbs fell on the kitchen floor and we first kissed. To celebrate, I booked this place which has great reviews, so I’m hoping it’s a winner.” Holly held up her iPad. “But first, I thought we could FaceTime Valentine, see how he’s doing.”

Tori stared. “You want to preface our romantic dinner by calling our cat?”

Holly nodded. Tori was looking at her like she’d really lost it this time, but she thought it’d be fun. Plus, she wanted to make sure her sister hadn’t killed the cat yet.

“It’s important. He might have forgotten who we are, and I want to check up on our baby.”

Tori shook her head. “I’d hate to see you with an actual baby,” she replied. “Do we have time? When’s the meal booked for?”

“Nine,” Holly said. “And I’ve already decided we’re getting a taxi.” She held up her iPad. “Shall I do the honours?”

Tori rolled her eyes. “Let’s call the cat.”

***

They arrived at the restaurant with minutes to spare, and were ushered in by a friendly waiter. When Holly told him her name, he led them through the main room and direct to a table in the courtyard, one of four set up under a canopy of sparkling lights. Pink rose petals were scattered across the white tablecloths and buffed glasses sparkled in the candlelight. This was romance with a capital R.

Tori’s heartbeat quickened and all the blood rushed to her cheeks. When she’d asked for romance, she hadn’t meant direct from the Hallmark factory. Holly really had located her inner romantic, and then added an extra dollop of cheese. Not that Tori was complaining. After all, you can’t moan that your partner isn’t romantic, and then tell them off for going into romance overdrive.
