What an honor it is to have you reading my compilation of Nevada stories. Both Delanie and Lexi have been dancing thru my imagination for quite a few years. Lexi was actually my first heroine in the first fiction book I ever wrote. After much evolving, she finally lives on the printed page. I’m glad you’re joining her there.

I’m always awed by the Lord’s grace that he allows me to write. I count it a great privilege to get to teach His truth in the form of fiction. And I count it a great privilege to work with Becky, JoAnne, and the whole Barbour crew. But you, dear reader, are the best, because without you, I’d have no one to write for. Thanks for allowing me that honor.

I want to dedicate this book to my mom. She has been a faithful Heartsong reader for years. And she helped proof this book. Thanks, Mom. I love you.

Dedication

This book is dedicated to Camden, my first grandson. I have waited a very long time for you, and love you more than you can even imagine. I cannot wait to hold you close, pray over you, and share sweet stories about Jesus. This grandma couldn’t be more thrilled. Many thanks to Marti, my cousin, for her medical expertise, to Adam, my son, for his legal expertise, and to Kelsy, my daughter, and Crit group 11 for their editorial guidance. And last, but not least, the Reno police department for their valuable information about the inner workings of the department. If there is any glory to be had, may it go to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
