I shook
my head and went into the bathroom and got cleaned up. Then I came
back and got dressed. Judy had switched off the speaker phone, and
they were talking about craft patterns.

A
couple of months passed, and we were getting ready to go to church.

“Aren't
you going to put on a tie this morning?” Judy asked.

“No,
the preacher said that it was not necessary to wear a tie or suit
coat since the weather is so hot this summer. So I am going to just
wear a short sleeve cowboy shirt and jeans.”

“Pastor
Smith has really changed since he married Sharon,” Judy said.

“Well,
he is getting some now since Sharon puts out. His old wife rarely
did. Getting plenty of sex makes a man a better Christian.”

She
smiled at me and said, “You must be a really good christian
then.”

“Oh,
I am.”

She
looked at me and then looked at herself in the mirror. We don't look
like a matched couple since you are dressed causal and I am dressed
in regular going to church clothes.”

“Do
you want me to change into my regular church going clothes with a
tie?” I said, with a frown on my face.

She
looked thoughtful and said, “No, I think I am going to change
into something more casual too.”

She
picked up the phone and called her best friend Ann. She talked for a
few moments and said, “They are going to dress casual too.”

She
picked out a red blouse and designer jeans and got dressed. I sat
and watched her since I liked to watch her get dressed and undressed.

“You
sure make me horny when you are dressing and undressing,” I
said. “Why don't we skip church and just make love.”

She
smiled and came over and gave me a kiss. “We will have plenty
of time this afternoon for that. I am interested in seeing what
everyone looks like dressing casual.”

When we
go to church, about half of the people were dressed casual, which
looked a lot more comfortable to me. We always attend Sunday School
first so we headed there.

Ours
was the young married couples class. Preacher Leroy had taken over
as the teacher when the other teacher had moved away.

Both
Leroy and Sharon were dressed casually too. He had on jeans and a
blue shirt with no tie. She was wearing jeans and a white shirt.

There
were six couples in the class today. We got our Sunday school
quarterly and turned to this week's lesson.

But
if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is
better to marry than to burn with passion.

Brother
Leroy looked at us and said, “What do you think of this verse?”

“I
am married, but I still burn with passion for my wife, Judy,” I
said, “so it obviously doesn't work.”

Everyone
laughed as they nodded their heads.

“This
verse doesn't seem to be a big endorsement for marriage,” Leroy
said. “Let's look at the verse before it.”

Now
to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay
unmarried, as I am.
1 Corinthians 7:8

“Paul
doesn't seem to think marriage is important and even seems to be
putting it down,” Ann said. “It makes you wonder why he
thought that way.”

“I
have wondered about that myself,” Leroy said. “I think
the reason is that he thought that he was living in the last days,
and the kingdom of God was coming soon. He didn't seem to consider
forming a relationship with a woman to be important since marriage
wouldn't exist after the Kingdom of God came. His goal in life was to
teach the coming kingdom of God.”

He
thought for a moment and then continued. “Of course, the
Kingdom of God never came. So it seems that he lost out on having a
wonderful loving relationship with a woman.”

During
church I thought about having a loving relationship with a woman.
Leroy didn't used to have that, but now he does. So he knows what
that is like. I have a loving relationship with Judy. She treats me
well and provides me with lots of sex. My life would not be as
enjoyable without her.

God
made sex to be enjoyed between a woman and a man. It is a shame that
Paul and some of the other early Christians that wrote the books of
the New Testament made sex into something sinful to be avoided.

I
glanced up and saw how happy Brother Leroy was now. Sharon also seem
to be very happy. It was the way that God had intended.

Now I
wondered what Judy and I would do this afternoon for our Sunday
afternoon sex. It made somehow going to church on Sunday morning
worth it.
