"We think he is back and on a killing spree apparently."

This is just great. "So what do we do Daniel?"

Daniel takes my hand and pulls me close to him. "We wait for the guys to get here and go from there."

"Oh boy."

My mind is blank. I have no clue what to think. Why JR? Why now? Avalon must be so upset to be cancelling her book tour early, although I'm going to be so happy to see her. It feels like it has been forever instead of just a few months. I'm trying to wrap my mind around all of it when Daniel comes walking back into the room.

"Are you ready to go eat?"

"Food or blood?"

Daniel lets out a laugh. "Unfortunately blood. It's been a few days since you've fed and you need more blood in your system. You don't want those pains like you had last time to come back do you?" I definitely do not want that again.

I remember the pains I had when I tried to go without feeding from humans. I was so disgusted by the thought that I tried to do without it. I was in definite denial. The pains I felt from going without blood were excruciating. It felt like someone had poured acid on my insides. I was burning from the inside out. No, I do not want to feel that again.

"Alright Daniel, I'm coming." I stand up and walk past Daniel for the door, as I walk by I feel a sharp pain on my ass from where he just popped me.

"Great. Let’s get at it then
, beautiful." He is way too excited about this.

We walk around downtown in the early morning hours. I figure if someone is walking around at this time of night then they deserve what they get. I think I have pretty much got the routine down but it doesn't make it any more enjoyable.

As Daniel and I walk we see a couple just leaving one of the clubs. He gives me 'the look' and nods towards them signaling me to go. Quickly I dart behind the buildings so they cannot see me. I stalk them until I find the perfect chance to step in. I hide between two buildings; I can feel Daniel right behind me when I see them. I use my mind trick to stop him while Daniel stops her. We turn them towards us and lead them in the shadows where we are hiding. This is the part I don't care for. Taking someone against their will is what I can't stand. I don't care if they won't remember it or not, I will. But unfortunately I need human blood to live so I must do what I have to.

I lead the guy to me and walk farther away from Daniel. I cannot watch him while he feeds as well as feed myself. The guy has a blank stare across his face. He doesn't even look at me and why would he? I'm not telling him to. I step closer to him and graze his neck with my nose. I can smell the blood coursing through his veins. It calls out for me.

Now I am hungry. I feel my fangs start to descend and without another thought I sink my teeth into his neck. I feel him buck against me
, since he feels nothing but pleasure I don't worry about it. He will get off to it then go back and probably make love to his wife or girlfriend with no idea of what has happened. At least that is a plus. I take what I can without causing any permanent damage, wipe his memory, and then send him on his way. He quickly finds his wife/girlfriend and they head towards their hotel.

"Do you feel better Jaci?"

I hate to admit it but I do. "Yes I do. Thank you, Daniel."

He smiles. "You’re welcome. You are getting much better."

"Thanks." I sigh as he takes my hand and leads me back to the house.

The weekend seemed to fly by. Before I knew it Monday was here and Avalon, John, and Michael would be here soon. I woke up around eight in the evening. It's a little early but I cannot contain my excitement. I know Avalon and John are not coming for a leisurely visit but I just can't help but be happy to see my best friend again.

I roll over and hug my pillow and let the smell of Daniel invade my senses. He has made love to me six times since Friday night and I have loved every second. The man definitely knows what he is doing. At one point I was actually washing some dishes when he came up behind me and pulled my yoga pants right down exposing my ass wearing a thong then took me right there in the kitchen. I know I have been with my share of men but this feels different. I don't know if it is because it's Daniel, because I am now a vampire, or because this is just something different but right now I'm not trying to figure it out. I am just going to enjoy it.

As I lay in bed looking out through my window of the snow covered mountains I begin to smell coffee. Oh Daniel is an angel! I sit up and run my fingers through my hair when my door opens.

"Lay back down beautiful. I brought the breakfast to you." Daniel walks into my room with a tray holding two cups of coffee, two plates full of bacon, eggs, toast, and fruit then sits down next to me placing the tray in front of us.

"I thought you might like a breakfast date in bed."

I pop a piece of melon in my mouth and let them sweet taste flow over my taste buds. "Sounds like the beginning of the best date ever." I give a giggle as he winks at me.

"This won't be the only thing I eat this morning."

Suddenly I feel tingles all over my body. How am I supposed to eat thinking about that? I look over at Daniel who has another piece of melon in his fingers and is holding it out for me. I reach for it as he pulls it away.

"Open your mouth Jaci."

I do as he asks and open my mouth for him as he slips the sweet cantaloupe into my mouth. I close my lips around his fingers as he pulls them back then lick my lips once they are freed.

"You are going to be the death of me Jaci." I smile my evil little grin at him as I reach for another piece of melon and pop it in my mouth. Daniel suddenly stands and takes the tray off the bed.

"I cannot sit here and watch you eat like that and not take you. Breakfast can wait until we are done."

I swallow the
melon as I watch Daniel pull his shirt over his head revealing his entire six pack abs then he slips his pajama pants off next. No boxers. Yum. He crawls back into the bed and given how I am already naked from the last time we had sex there is nothing holding him back. He leans up to kiss me. The taste of him mixed with the melon is intoxicating. As he kisses me he lays me back against the pillows.

"You taste heavenly Jaci. Now lay back as I enjoy my dessert first." One small moan escapes my lips as I feel Daniel moving closer to the end of the bed.

"Spread those legs for me, Jaci." I do as he asks and spread my legs apart as far as they will go.

"That's it
, baby." Just hearing him talk while he is down there makes my blood flow right to my core. I feel him slide his tongue up my center once before pulling back. I hear a moan from him.

"So wet and ready. You taste amazing." He dips his head back down and licks my opening then teases my clit with his tongue.

I swear I am going to cum right here and now. He pulls back but only long enough to slip one of his fingers in while teases my clit. I am going to lose it. I feel my muscles tensing up and sweat is covering my body. Without warning I feel the internal explosion throughout my body.

I can feel my arms and legs begin to shake. Daniel is thrusting faster now then suddenly he cries out as his release fills me. After what seems like an eternity, Daniel rolls over to face me.

"Do you want to get back to breakfast now

I try to catch my breath as I look over at him I can see him smiling and it makes me feel happy that I am here. "Yes please. I'm going to need all I can get if you’re going to keep this up." Daniel stands and puts the tray back on the bed then climbs back in beside me.

"I just can't get enough of you Jaci." I smile as we both begin to eat our breakfast.

Avalon, John, and Michael made it to the house
with perfect timing. Daniel and I had finished breakfast with our dessert first then we both ended up in the shower where we decided to have dessert again. We weren't out of the shower five minutes before we heard the doorbell. Daniel threw on some sweats and ran downstairs while I got ready.

Once ready
, I flew down the stairs not even realizing how fast I was going and ran right into Avalon, knocking us both backwards.

"Whoa Jaci. I missed you
, too." We both laughed as I stood up then extended my hand to help her up as well. Once we were both on our feet again I gave her a hug.

"I have missed you
, Ava."

The boys came in from the tour of the house and the first thing I notice is Michael smiling. It has only been a few months since I'd seen everyone but it feels like it has been forever. As I walk towards Michael and wrap my arms around his neck to give him a hug he picks me up and spins me around like I am five.

"Jaci! You look amazing. How are you?" He sets me back down as I glance towards Daniel who isn't very pleased at the moment.

"I'm doing great Michael! You look good yourself." He gives me another quick hug then I turn to hug John then walk back over to Avalon. She gently and quietly leans towards me.

"That was unusual especially for Michael. I think he likes you." I just laugh it off. There is no way Michael likes me. He probably just thinks of me in a sisterly way. Either way I could tell Daniel was jealous by the way he walks up to me and puts his arm around my waist. This is new.

"The guys and I are going to go into the game room and catch up and talk about JR. Why don't you and Avalon hand out, catch up, and we'll meet back up in a bit to go grab something to eat. Okay?" I must admit I love that idea.

"Okay."
Daniel gives me a wink as John walks up and kisses Ava, then the guys head out of the room while Ava and I walk towards the kitchen. Avalon walks into the kitchen right behind me when I turn around she is just standing there with her mouth wide open. I am sure she is taking in the beautiful kitchen with its earth tones, gorgeous marble counter, and, we can't forget, the fireplace. There is also a couch over by the fireplace which is right where we go once I pour our wine glasses. We sit down and let the heat from the fireplace warm us. The smell of the burning wood invades my nostrils. It almost makes you feel like it's autumn outside instead of early spring.

"This place is gorgeous Jaci. You must be in heaven."

I look around the room. Yes, this house is gorgeous. Immaculate really but it is not heaven. I'm not sure if I will ever know what heaven feels like. "Yeah Ava, it's nice. It's definitely a huge house, that's for sure. It's way too huge just for me and Daniel. I'm glad you guys came."

Avalon took a drink of her Merlot. "I had a book signing up this way in the next couple months so we were going to drop in on your anyway but now is better. I may still do the signing if we can get JR under control."

I don't know why but I keep forgetting about JR. Maybe it is because he is nowhere around us. All I know so far is people have been found dead in numerous places and cities while there are still many people missing.

"Do you really think it is JR doing this Avalon?"

Avalon put her drink down and suddenly looked sad. "I do. I can't think of anything else that makes sense. But I don't know if he is doing it all on purpose or if he doesn't know how to adapt. I mean Nicholas just turned him and set him loose, he didn't teach him anything. I don't know for sure though. This is where John and I disagree. He thinks JR is just out to kill."

I let that sink in for a few minutes. Avalon may be right, I mean if Daniel
weren't here to teach me everything then I have no clue what I would be doing right now. I wouldn't know how much blood to take from a person before it's critical. I wouldn't know how to control their minds or how to hunt. I wouldn't know anything. But then again, after a bunch of trial and errors I would have figured it out, I'm sure. JR just seems to be running amuck.

"So what is up with you and Daniel?"

Avalon's question brought me right back to the now. I really have no idea how to answer her either.

"I don't know what is up with Daniel and me. Why do you ask?"

Avalon gave out a giggle. "Only because he was eyeing you like a toy he didn't want Michael to touch. You two have been spending a lot of time together, alone most of the time, it would only make sense if you two became romantically involved. Plus he's good looking and a good man."

Is Ava right? Was Daniel looking at me like that? I knew he wasn't happy but to seem possessive. I don't know.

"I don't know Ava. I mean we have slept together a few times." That is an understatement if I ever made one.

"Aha! I knew it! How is it? Do you like him? Are you two in a relationship?"

My head is starting to hurt. I stand up to take my glass over to the sink and pour it out. However, the headache isn't from the alcohol, my body burns the alcohol too fast for it to affect me, my headache is from thinking about Daniel and me.
