“Sounds perfect.”  Porter set the phone down as a grin crossed his face.  There was no question about retirement now.  If he had a warm woman to sink into on a regular basis, he’d never go into the field again.  He was going to be a security consultant.

Finn sat with the lawyer as they waited for the other three men to arrive.  He looked over the document that had been drawn up.  “This is iron clad?” he asked.

The lawyer
, Jason, nodded.  “I’m not sure why you’d want to pay so much money for a woman when there are plenty of men available, but…to each his own, I guess.”  He looked at Finn.  “You sure you want to do this?  This is the kind of thing you’re usually out there trying to stop, not take part of.”

Finn sighed.  “I hope it doesn’t hurt my standing too much, but…I’ve been a closet hetero for too long.  I need a woman.  I can’t keep living the way I am.”

“There are always holodecks.  Your friend, Dimitri, is rumored to have created an even more powerful one that feels real.”

Finn shook his head.  “I’m sick of
holos.  I want the real thing.  It’s possible for me to get it, and it’s not against the law.  I’m going for it.”

Jason shrugged.  “It’s your funeral.”

Finn jumped up at a knock on the door.  He calmly shook hands with the man in front of him, Porter, a mercenary who was reputed to be a hard, cruel man.  “Good to have you.”

Porter smiled down at the shorter Finn.  He was six feet five inches tall to Finn’s six foot.
“Nice to meet you.”

Finn led him to the table and then hurried back to the door for another knock.  The other two men were waiting for him.  Once they were all seated around his dining table, he introduced them to each other.  He could see by their faces that all of the men had heard of the others.  He introduced Jason and took his seat at the head of the table.

“Jason is my lawyer, and he drew up a document.  We’ll all read over it and see how it suits us.  This is preliminary.  There are things I left out like where we’ll live, and I have no idea about that.  I just found out about the auction yesterday morning and went to work right away.  I want to take advantage of this opportunity.”

Porter looked at the other men waiting for one of them to speak.  When no one said anything, he said, “I want a compound.
A military type compound.  The girl needs to be kept safe.  We can’t have her taken from us.”

Finn shook his head.  “No we can’t.  Honestly, I’m a little worried about how this will go over with my constituents.  I don’t want to risk any death threats
aimed at me causing harm to our lady.”

Porter frowned.  “You think that’s a possibility?”

Finn shrugged.  “I wouldn’t be terribly surprised.  This is…against my public character.  I
need
that woman, though.”

“Oh, I get you, man.  Your hand only works for so long, before you just need to be inside a woman.”  Porter took a deep breath.  “I have ideas for the compound I want.  I drew up some basic plans.”  He pulled a piece of paper from his pocket and showed the other men.  “I asked around and this is going to run us about a trillion.  Anyone object to putting in another quarter trillion on top of the cost of the girl?”

Gustav shook his head.  “A woman is worth whatever we have to pay.”

Dimitri nodded in agreement.  “My new
holodeck is going to make a hundred times that much.  It’s fine.”

Finn nodded, thinking about the trillions he had sitting in a bank account.
“Fine with me.  I think it’s worth it for us all to be safe.”

Finn looked more carefully at the plans while the other men read over the document.  It called for four homes to be built with underground tunnels between them.  There would be a forty foot invisible fence surrounding the property, and there would be twenty-four hour guards posted at the only entrance.  “Does your plan allow for servants?”

Porter looked up.  “Only robots.  We trust no one.”

Gustav looked up at the mercenary.  “You don’t think you’re going over board?”

“No, I don’t.  Do you want our woman stolen from us?”

Gustav sighed.  “No, I don’t.
All right.  We’ll do things your way.”

They spent the next hour hammering out the details with Jason taking frantic notes.  The woman,
Jayn, would share a house with Finn, but she would visit the other men’s houses every night.  If they chose to they could share her, but mainly she would see them each separately.  Each of their homes could be built to their own specifications as long as they used the kind of building materials Porter insisted on.  They could make it work.

Finally, Jason stood.  “I’ll have your contracts ready in the morning.  Do you have land picked out?”

Porter grinned.  “It just so happens that I put money down on forty acres just this morning.”

Finn
nodded, glad he’d chosen the mercenary to be part of their group despite his reputation.  They all shook hands, and as the others left, Finn breathed a sigh of relief.  It was all coming together.  Soon, he’d have a real woman to love and touch.  No more holo-women.

Chapter Two

Jayn walked through the grounds for the last time.  She wondered again if she’d made a mistake by telling her father she couldn’t marry Benji and wanted to be sold, but she knew she couldn’t be some man’s punishment.  She would go and submit to the men who had purchased her with a smile.

No one had spoken to her in the eight weeks since she’d asked to be sold.  Every man, woman, and child in the entire community had shunned her.  She still kept house and cooked for her father, but he made her eat at a table on her own, rather than allowing her to eat with him.

She walked along the stream that cut through the property, catching sight of Benji out of the corner of her eye.  She’d gone along with the idea of marrying him at first.  They’d taken many long walks together, but she had felt nothing for him.  Even when he’d taken her into his arms and kissed her, stabbing his tongue into her mouth insistently, she’d felt only revulsion.  To her, Benji belonged to Amber, and she would be no man’s punishment.

She cooked her father’s favorite meal that night as a farewel
l dinner.  He’d left her a note on the kitchen counter that morning that one of the other men in the community would be driving her to Madison for her auction the following day, because he couldn’t bear to see her sell herself into prostitution.  She had cried at the note.  She wouldn’t be a prostitute.  She still had contact with April, the first of the girls from their community to be auctioned, and April talked about the strong love she had for the four men who had purchased her.  She would be loved and revered by the men she married, no matter what her father said.

The three hour drive to Madison was made in silence.  Their community had access only to cars that were one hundred or more years old.  They were well taken care of, but they didn’t have flying capacity or the speed capacity that new cars were rumored to have.  The man assigned to drive her said nothing.  She had no clothes with her, only the jumpsuit on her back.  It was a dull gray, and she hated the idea of the men she was to marry seeing her in it.

She’d had no human contact for eight weeks.  Her father had removed her computer and phone, and she hadn’t even been able to talk to the other girls who had left the community before her.
She was desperate for the right to talk to someone.  Anyone.

When they pulled up to the back door of the coliseum, Jayn got out and hurried to the door, pleased to be away from the silence finally.  A man in a bright
pink shirt and skin-tight turquoise pants opened the door for her.  “You must be Jayn!  Come in, my dear, come in!”

Jayn stepped into the huge building and followed the rapidly talking man down the hallway.  “I’m Xavier.  I’ll be helping you get ready and running the auction.  I understand you asked to be auctioned off?  Is that right?”

“Yes, sir,” Jayn whispered.  She’d never met a stranger before.  Every person in her life, she’d known since she was a small child.  It was odd how she felt at meeting this man.  She’d never really thought of herself as particularly shy, but she was with him.

“Well, let’s get you all fixed up and beautiful for your auction.”  He opened a door and waited for her to go through.

Jayn looked around her, simply amazed at the room.  There was a rack of beautiful dresses along one wall, and a chair in front of a mirrored table along the other.  Her community believed in being neat and tidy, but women didn’t wear makeup or have fancy hairstyles, so she was in awe of everything there.

“Okay, first off, we need to get you undressed, so we can see your body type and choose a dress for you.”  Xavier stood for a moment looking at her expectantly.

Jayn crossed her arms over her chest.  “I can’t undress in front of you!”

Xavier laughed.  “Oh, honey!  I’m not at all interested in women if that’s what you’re worried about.  I just need to know what to put you in.”

She felt hands on the back of her jumpsuit tugging it down, and she spun around.  She hadn’t even realized there were others in the room.  “Stop!”

Xavier lifted a hand and waved the man behind her away.  “Would you feel more comfortable if it was just you and me in the room?  I can make the others leave and only let them come back to help with your hair after you’re dressed.”

Jayn didn’t feel comfortable with any man watching her undress, but she nodded anyway.  Better only one man than many.

After the door closed with a snap behind them, Jayn quickly peeled off her jumpsuit and stood in her undergarments with her face downcast.
The undergarment her father had always insisted she wear was even more concealing than most girls of her community.  It covered her from shoulders to her knees very snugly, but there was a loose layer of garment over the top that made her still look extremely modest even in her underwear.

“You’re going to have to take that off too, honey.  I can’t see your body at all.”  Xavier shook his head at her.
“You poor thing.  Always trapped inside that ugly underwear.  No wonder you’re embarrassed.  Clothes should make you feel beautiful.”  The sympathetic look he gave her almost made her more embarrassed than she had been, but that was impossible.

Jayn
swallowed hard and pulled the garment off.  She didn’t say a word as she stared at the floor, her body completely nude before another person for the first time since she was a young child.  You didn’t undress even in front of other women in the community she’d been raised in.  You never knew who would be unable to control their desires.

Xavier walked in a slow circle around her.  “You have a beautiful body.  I know just the dress!”  He pulled a pale lavender gown off the rack and carried it to her.  It was long and would reach to her feet, and she didn’t realize until she’d pulled it over her head that it had a slit in the side that went almost all the way to her hip.
“Very nice!”

April felt how the skin-
tight dress fit her and glanced in one of the many mirrors on the wall of the room.  “It’s too tight,” she whispered.

Xavier shook his head, watching as she plucked at the material trying to pull it away from her body.  “No, leave it.  You look beautiful!”  He walked to the door and opened it, inviting the other men back into the room.  Her blond hair was long and almost to her waist, and the other men pushed her into her chair and went to work on it immediately.  Her dress was hiked up and hair was removed from her legs, but they were careful to keep her private parts covered.

Her face was liberally painted with makeup.  She looked in the mirror and knew her father would call her a tart, but she secretly liked the way she looked.  She hoped the men she would marry would like her as well.

They had piled her hair loosely atop her head, and pushed a stick of some sort through it to hold it in place.  Xavier walked up behind her and put h
is hands on her shoulders.  “At one point during the auction I’m going to have you spin for the men so they can see you better.  I want you to pull the stick from your hair at that point, so that it falls down around your waist.”

Jayn nodded, not meeting his eyes.  Did he think she looked like a tramp?

Xavier lifted his arm and peered at his watch.  “It’s time.  The men are waiting.”  He took her arm and led her through the hallway to the huge room where she was shown where to stand on the stage.  She looked around her at the sea of faces staring at her, all of them talking excitedly.

Xavier went to the microphone and took it from the stand.  “Thank you for coming out tonight!  This is Jayn.  She’s
twenty years old.  She is the first young lady to ask to be auctioned, and I promise you men are in for a treat.”  The men cheered at that point, and Jayn blushed.  “Jayn, why don’t you spin around for the men so they can really see you?”

Jayn lifted her hand to the stick in her hair and pulled it out as she made her slow spin.  When her hair fell around her waist, the men applauded, making their opinion of her known.  As soon as she was done, Xavier smiled at her.
“Jayn, a couple of questions for you.  Do you think you can answer them?”

Jayn
nodded, her heart in her throat.  He wanted her to speak in front of all these people?

What made you decide to ask to be auctioned off, Jayn?  Most of the girls of your community that I’ve met have not wanted to be here.”

Jayn swallowed hard and leaned into the microphone in front of her.  “My father was forcing me to marry a young man that I had no feelings for.”
She couldn’t explain further than that.  It would be too humiliating.  Somewhere out there were her future husbands.  They didn’t need to know how little she was valued.

Xavier raised an eyebrow at her.  “You’ll be much happier with four of our men then, won’t you?”

Jayn nodded, closing her eyes in embarrassment.  She listened as the bidding began, startled at the sums coming out of the men’s mouths.  They started the bidding at two trillion dollars.  Did they really think she was worth that?

When it was down to just two groups of men bidding on her, Jayn looked out over the audience.  One of the groups seemed to be four men in their thirties, all of them with varying shades of dark hair and brown eyes.  The other was two blond men and two red heads.  She found herself quietly hoping the first group would win.

When the figure of eight trillion was settled on and the four dark men came to the stage to claim her, Jayn stared up at them.  They were all tall, one of them taller than any man she’d ever seen.  The man that stepped up to her had medium brown hair and kind eyes.  He took her hand in his.  “I’m Finn Hargrave.  I’ll be your legal husband.”

Jayn nodded slowly.  In a few minutes she’d be married
to this man, and in a few hours she’d be under him in a bed.  She felt a tingle between her legs in her most private place as she thought about it.  She knew she’d enjoy being kissed by this man in a way she hadn’t enjoyed kissing Benji.

She stood beside him as the pastor went through the marriage vows.  Finn was beside her, and the other three surrounded her.  She wasn’t sure if she wanted to start kissing them all right there and never stop, or run away as fast as she possibly could.
Either option seemed plausible at that moment.

When the pastor pronounced them man and wife, she turned to Finn with wide eyes.  Would he kiss her with all those people watching?  Did she want him to?

He carefully encircled her waist with his hands, and pressed his lips to hers.  Her lashes fluttered down as she felt a jolt right to her core.  His lips played with hers for a moment, before his tongue traced the seam of her lips to gain entrance.  She opened her mouth wide for his tongue, and gasped as it entered her mouth, wrapping her arms tightly around him.

She could hear the cheers around them as he let her go.  So, this was lust.  This was what her father had warned her against her whole life.  She had a vague understanding suddenly of what he thought the dangers were before one of the other men pulled her into his arms.  It was the tall one.  “I’m Porter,” he said as he lowered his head to hers, kissing her passionately
. His hands pulled her hips against his hard erection.

She gasped with surprise to feel his rod poking into her.  Her arms wrapped around him to help her stay on her feet, and within moments she was pulled from him into another man’s arms.  “I’m Gustav,” the man whispered as he lowered his lips to hers.  Before she was pulled from him, he whispered into her ear, “Do you have a belly button?”

Jayn stared at the man who she had just kissed wondering what on earth he was talking about.  The man who was now holding her put his hand on her cheek and turned her face up to his.  “Ignore the good doctor.  I’m Dimitri, and I’m here to make all your dreams come true.”  He leaned down and nipped at her lower lip before kissing her, one hand coming around to cup her breast through her dress.

Jayn stood in the middle of the four men, looking from one to the next, wondering what to do now.  She was panting slightly, feeling the warm lust wash through her body.  Now she knew why her father had told her never to kiss a man she wasn’t married to.  It felt good
to kiss, and she wanted to keep doing it.

Finn stepped forward and took her hand in his.  “Let’s go get your things and get you home.”  The compound was finished, as were the houses, but the landscaping still had a great deal of work to be done.  They’d had men working around the clock for the six weeks they’d had to prepare.

“Where is home?” she asked, looking up at him with stars in her eyes.

“Just outside of Billings, Montana.
  I’m a state senator there.”

“You are?”  The religious community she was part of had stayed completely out of politics even refusing to vote.  She felt…odd being married to a man who made politics his life.  She glanced over her shoulder at the others who were trailing behind them.  “What do they do?”

“Porter was a mercenary, but he’s just started a security consulting business, so he can stay home and be with you.  Gustav is a doctor…he just developed a vaccine for fwansitis.  Dimitri invented holodecks.  He’s got a new one coming out in a year.”

“What’s a
holodeck?” she asked.  There were few modern conveniences in their community.
