“Is that…standard?” Unable to believe her eyes, she reached out to touch.

He winced as she examined him with delicate fingers. “No, it is Rothu’s particular signature.

There was a strange inverted triangle on the larger of the two appendages, and as she stroked it with her thumb, it unfurled in a slow, graceful movement. “What is that?”

“It is another appendage specific to Rothu, designed to compensate for any discomfort the dual penetration creates.”

Del looked up at him, and Kurat was actually embarrassed. “Why are you making a face like that? I am simply curious. I will accept you as you come.” She giggled. “In any sense of the word.”

He rolled her to her back and kissed her again. The taste of him was as intoxicating as the night before. To hell with wine, his kiss sent her head spinning the moment they made contact. She felt the upper of his cocks prodding at her, and Del parted her thighs in invitation.

He groaned as he nudged his way into her sex, his secondary cock pressed against her rear entrance and slowly worked inside. The lube he was producing allowed him easy entry and having done this once or twice before, she angled her hips and pushed toward him to take him inside.

Her breath rushed out of her lungs as he eased in to the hilt and the frond-like appendage attached to her clit. The frond began to pulse, and it felt for all the world like a small wet mouth attached to her, sucking on her clit as Kurat began to move over her.

Del’s body was in complete riot at being speared fully. The stinging pain in her ass eased as Kurat continued to produce the lube that let him slide easily within her. Her channel was stretched to aching, and her clit throbbed restlessly.

He moved carefully against her, rocking slowly as pleasure crested and peaked, leaving her sobbing and clutching at his shoulders.

Kurat groaned low and kissed her as her body clasped and released his cock with slow lazy palpitations.

He started to move again, still slow, still careful, but the small appendage sucked and squeezed at a far more rapid pace than before.

Kurat continued his ravaging of her mouth, his tongue twining with hers and mimicking the slow thrusts that he was delivering to her channel and ass. She needed him to move faster, but her mouth was busy, so she clawed at his shoulders to pull him into her with more energy.

Her clit throbbed, her muscles clenched and she moaned into his mouth as another slow gathering of waves took her over.

Kurat sighed, and his body quivered over hers. She felt the jerk of both cocks deep inside and brought another shivering wave of release through her. He released her mouth and rolled to one side, pulling out of her.

Her body silently shrieked at the loss of contact.

Kurat reached to the side of the bed and removed something from a drawer. When he tucked his fingers between her thighs, she blushed. He drew away all traces of himself on the exterior of her skin, tossed the wipe and cleaned himself with economical motions.

When all was done, he turned back to her and wrapped her in his arms. He pressed a kiss to her forehead and asked her, “So, nap then?”

She laughed and stroked the scratches that she had made on his skin. “I do apologise.”

“No apologies necessary. I look forward to being able to unleash some of my pent-up lust on you and expect you to react accordingly.” He brushed a kiss on her ear and pulled her up so he could nuzzle her neck.

She sighed, “So this was an audition?”

“Confirmation of theory. I wouldn’t have made it home without tasting you, and your natural inclinations let it go a little further. Thank you.” His teeth nipped at the tender skin where neck and shoulder joined.

Del yelped. “It was different than I was expecting.”

He leaned up and frowned at her, concerned. “You were not satisfied?”

“Oh, I was, but it was just different. It was far more controlled than I was anticipating.”

He chuckled and ran a large hand down her spine. “I do love your honesty, almost as much as I love your laugh.”

She sighed and curled against him. “How long until Na-Lanvin?”

“Six hours.”

“Then, I do actually need some sleep.”

“Turn around with your back to me.” He pressed a kiss to her shoulder, and she flipped as he asked.

His cock slipped between her thighs, but he made no move to shift the hardening flesh into her. Kurat wrapped his arm over her, the heat put out by his skin acting as a localized blanket. His elbow rested near her belly, and he opened his hand to loosely grip one shoulder.

She didn’t think she would be able to sleep with his erection sliding slightly with every breath, but she managed it just fine.

Chapter Six

Del tried to walk with dignity, but her skin was raw even though Kurat had taken care with her. The silk of her trousers just made things worse, sliding and rubbing against her every time she took a step.

Years of training enabled her to paste a pleasant smile on her face and walk with a normal gait, but she was stiff and sore under that façade.

Kurat had wrapped her hand around his arm before they stepped off the shuttle and onto the Na-Lanvin warship. She tried not to lean too heavily on him, but it was difficult.

Kurat sighed. “I should have waited. I am sorry.”

She blinked and saw his gaze firmly fixed on her. “What?”

“I should have waited until we were near the healers. Once the goddesses have made their decision, you will be more able to enjoy my attentions without aftereffect.”

He walked right past the eager captain and down the hall marked with a deep blue line.

“Uh, where are we going?”

“To medical. I want to make sure that I did not damage you.” He was frowning.

She looked up into his face and realized that he was truly concerned. “I will be fine in a day or two. Soft tissue heals quickly.”

“And after that? No. We will see the healers now and check on you.”

His insistence was endearing. Del had the feeling that if she balked, he would simply lift her up and carry her, so she kept soldiering on.

When they got to medical, she was separated from him and given a full body scan. The medical staff addressed her as Lady Delyth, and since she had been called worse, Del acquiesced to whatever they asked her to do.

“Light tearing of the vaginal and rectal walls, some muscle strain but nothing to prohibit a speedy, natural recovery.” The physician smiled at her as he checked his notes.

She heard Kurat clear his throat.

The physician widened his eyes. “Oh, so that is the case. Well, please remove your clothing, and we will run you through the regenerator. You will be back at optimal levels in a few minutes.”

Del sighed. “That is not really necessary.”

“Yes, it is.” Kurat came around the partition and scowled at her. “You will be treated, and that is the end of it.”

She wrinkled her nose and removed her clothing, folding it neatly and putting it on a nearby chair. She hopped up into the machine and lay supine while the physician pressed the buttons that would bathe her in regenerating light.

Del glared at Kurat, but he seemed immune to her irritation.

The physician seemed a little nervous in the presence of the High Prefect. His gaze kept darting to Kurat’s forehead for some reason that Del couldn’t fathom.

“Lady Delyth, please remain still.”

“What?”

“You are tapping your feet.”

She snickered. Moving to the beat in her head was a bad habit of hers when she was bored. “Yes, Doctor. Sorry, Doctor.”

He watched the monitors, and Kurat watched her. Heat bloomed in her abdomen as the light focussed on it. Ten minutes later, her aches and pains were gone and the physician was helping her to sit.

“Hands off her, she’s mine.”

At Kurat’s growl, the doctor let her go so quickly, she thudded back to the scanning bed.

“Ow.” She rubbed the back of her head and scowled at Kurat.

He moved to her side and replaced her hand with his own. “I am sorry. I should have made it clear to the medical staff that you are to be the host and not simply a lover.”

He massaged her scalp and eased her off the table.

“What is the difference?” Del pattered to the chair where her clothing was and pulled the tunic over her head.

The physician was looking as if he wanted to be anywhere else but in their presence.

“As Rothu’s body, I have had many females and each was for a single night only. No more was asked or expected. Each one was healed in a manner similar to this, and our joining was never repeated. As a host, you are untouchable by another male. To engage in contact might elicit a response that none of us would wish to witness.”

She pulled on her trousers and straightened the tunic once they were in place. With short jerks, she tugged on the boots, finally wrapping her waist with the sash. “There. Ready.”

The ship jumped, and she swayed slightly. Kurat reached out to hold her, and when another jump rapidly followed the first, he lifted her in his arms and held her tight against him. “Three more jumps to go. We are travelling as rapidly as the ship can go.”

Del nodded. “Right after arrival and departure on a new world, file jumps under things I don’t like about space travel.”

He chuckled and carried her out of medical.

The halls cleared as he walked as if he owned the ship, which Del supposed that he did.

“So, where are we off to now?”

“My quarters. We will arrive at Na-Lanvin tomorrow, and I want you relaxed and well rested.”

She looked at him with suspicion. “The last time I wanted a nap, we ended up with this trip to medical.”

Kurat sighed. “I will simply hold you while you rest. Nothing more.”

She snickered at the disgust in his face and enjoyed the feeling of being coddled.

At five foot eleven inches, Del rarely felt delicate, but today was a charming exception. Kurat was huge, but he tempered his strength every time he touched her. Even when he had wanted to let himself free during sex, he had held back so as not to injure her. It wasn’t exactly prince charming activity, but it was head and shoulders above most of the men she had met in her life. The moment she met him, he had inspired trust and that was the rarest of reactions she had with men. If he hadn’t requisitioned her, she might have tried to enjoy him for an evening even if it meant time in the infirmary.

She smiled and rubbed her cheek against his chest. He responded by holding her tighter.

Crewmen and women flattened against the walls every time they passed, and it forced Del to ask, “Do you have a contact problem that I should know about?”

“It is forbidden to touch the High Prefect without authorization.”

She winced. “So, I have engaged in a faux pas without knowing it? I do apologise.”

He stopped in the hall and engaged her in a ravaging kiss. “You were invited, authorized and requested to touch me at several points since we met.”

She chuckled and pressed her fingers to her lips. The tingling in her lips ceased to be localized and spread through her body. “Aw, not again.”

He resumed their walk. “What?”

Del blushed. “I will tell you later.”

Kurat grinned, “You will tell me the moment we are in our quarters.”

They were in the officer’s quarters’ hallway now. He continued on until they passed the captain’s door and that left the final door for them.

The door opened at his approach, and when Del peeked at him, his eyes were dark green. The door was responding to one of the energy signatures inside him.

He entered and the door slid shut behind him. “Now, tell me what is happening?”

She frowned and crossed her arms over her breasts. “No. It’s embarrassing.”

He walked through the front room and into the bedroom. He placed her on the bed and asked again, “What is going on?”

“I need some things that are private.”

“No.” He turned and tugged her boots from her feet before starting work on her trousers.

She sat up and tried backing away, but he had her by the waistband. “What are you doing?”

“Removing your clothing.”

“I thought you said I could relax.”

“That was before you decided to engage in subterfuge. I hate subterfuge.” He tossed her trousers to the floor, and he began on her sash.

The sash went the way of her trousers, and his gaze grew intense as he slid his hands up her thighs, lifting her tunic out of the way.

“It isn’t subterfuge, just privacy.” She tried to remember what she had kept from him, but his touch on her skin drove out all thought. The sensual menace in his features caused a gush of wet heat from her sex, and she blushed when it was apparent that it was his intent to find all of her secrets.

Del trembled as she realized that she would tell him everything he wanted to know.

Chapter Seven

Del was tied to the headboard with her own sash, and she twisted desperately. “Fine! Please, what do you want to know?”

Kurat looked up from his position between her thighs and idly licked her juices off his lips. “Why did you smile in the hall?”

She trembled and tried to recall why as he eased two fingers into her while licking delicately at her clit. From this angle, she could see that his tongue was longer than it had any right to be, but based on the darkness of his gaze, she sensed that there was something else at work in his body.

“What?” she closed her eyes and concentrated on the digits moving inside her.

He licked at her again, the wet appendage circling her clit with delicate precision. “Why did you smile?”

“Oh, because every time you kiss me, I get wet, I ache. It’s a first for me.” She trembled, wishing he would push a little deeper, a little harder.

He paused in surprise. “That is it all? You felt it necessary to keep it a secret?”

She arched into his hand. “You already know, so why should I have told you?”

He chuckled. “You could have avoided this.”

Her hips twisted lazily against his hand. “Why would I want to avoid this?”

He shook his head and reached up with his free hand to caress her breasts ever so lightly while his tongue circled her clit until she cried out and slowly relaxed against his hand.
