The panic attack hit; Kelly's chest heaved as she gasped to inhale air through her tightened throat. Her chest burned, her limbs shook, and tears welled in her eyes. “He’s found me,” she whispered again and again, assuring that she had the revolver close by.

Living under an alias, Kelly Weston had felt she had found a safe haven in small-town Winchester, Maine. Kelly had no intention of divulging any details of the haunting past she has run from but someone from that past followed her to Maine. Kelly meets Winchester law enforcement officer Garrick Foster during her first weeks in town and events related to her past keep drawing them together. She is attracted to him but attempts to keep her distance as she cannot chance that he will unveil her deceit. Garrick had feelings for Kelly since their first encounter, and finds himself entangled in a murder investigation that lands her as a main suspect. After the brutal beating and subsequent death of Kelly’s landlord, Garrick soon discovers the new interest in his life is Vivienne Marks. She fled Florida while under investigation in a medical fraud case and was a former patient in a psychiatric hospital following the death of her fiancé. The murder probe starts to unravel her mysterious past---the only way for Kelly to salvage her new life is to delve into the painful history she ran from, allowing Garrick to piece together the ugly puzzle of Kelly’s former life she was attempting to hide.

Reviews for
Bridge to her Past
:

A sensational debut novel

This review is from:
Bridge to her Past (Kindle Edition)

A suspenseful romance novel. An engaging story about a dark and painful past that leads to wounded hearts discovering the courage to survive devastating odds while learning to trust and love from the heart. The author's insight into the essence of each character's portrayal gave such a depth of quality to the movement of the story. The descriptions of the locales provided a sense of actually being present in those moments. I am looking forward to reading her future books.
