Converting percentages to decimals
To convert a percentage to a decimal you divide by 100. This means you need to move the decimal place two spaces to the left.i.e.

Converting fractions to decimals
30.0.655353 053 0Fractions are like division sums. Therefore, fractions can be converted to decimals by using long division.

Converting decimals to fractions
Probably the simplest way to convert a decimal to a fraction is to convert the decimal to a percentage and then convert the percentage to a fraction using the methods above.
Converting between units
Converting between units involves multiplying or dividing by 1000 or 1,000,000. This involves moving the decimal place 3 or 6 places to the right or left depending on the conversion (right for multiplying, left for dividing).
