About Elleby Harper

Elleby Harper is a literary enthusiast, life
explorer, world traveller and amateur photographer who has been
known to overboil, overbake or simply forget dinner whilst reading
an intriguing novel or dashing between cooktop and computer to
rework a chapter.

At the age of ten Elleby was bitten by the
writing bug when she wrote her first historical romance. At twelve,
while other kids were out practicing on Hoolahoops and playing
Twister, Elleby requested a portable typewriter for Christmas (in
the days before tablets and smart phones this was high tech!) and
spent her school vacations nutting out storylines and exploring
characters. At university she studied journalism, creative and
professional writing. For five years she ran her own freelance
writing and professional editorial business and her non-fiction
work has been published in both North American and Australian
magazines.

Elleby loves the possibility that there may
be a kernel of information or inspiration in her writing that
connects with a reader.

Apart from reading other authors’
masterpieces and writing herself, Elleby’s pursuit of a healthy
lifestyle has taken her to regional Australia for clean air, fresh
fruit from her orchard and eggs laid daily by chickens Ruby,
Doreen, Rusty, Ice Cream, Ginger and Nutmeg.
