“Thanks for the offer, but I’m really busy. I have tons of papers to grade. I’ll call his dad in, and we’ll work something out. Thanks for your time. I’ll let you know what we plan to do.” Tessa smiled and slipped out of his office before he could say anything else. Myles followed her quietly out the door. She pointed to one of the seats in front of the office. Myles sat and waited for her.

Now, she had to make
the
phone call. This was another part of her job that she wasn’t crazy about. She really thought a lot of Myles, and she was worried about him. One minute he seemed perfectly happy, and the next, his temper would flare. On more than one occasion, he had argued with students in the class. He was often quiet, and he didn’t contribute to their classroom discussions. There were those days that he seemed to be a regular, happy fifth grader, but other times, he seemed to be lost in his own world. Maybe there was something going on with him. Hopefully his dad would be willing to help figure it out.

Chapter 2

Bishop

Tension filled the garage as Bishop listened to Goliath discuss the meet with Duce, the President of the Diablo MC. They had been working with their club for the past ten years distributing handguns to Memphis gangs. It had been a profitable arrangement, but it was getting more dangerous by the day. The Memphis Gang Unit was working in full force throughout the city, and it was only a matter of time before they caught on to the Devil Chasers’ part in the distribution of the weapons in their area. Bishop knew they had to follow through with their delivery at the end of the week, but he was ready to move on from this shit. It just wasn’t worth it anymore. There was too much at risk.

Bishop spent a great deal of time creating a state of the art motorcycle shop, and it was one of the best in the south. They did everything from basic oil changes to complete bike restorations for people all across the country. He wanted to expand the shop to include the renovation of high-end classic cars and trucks. Bishop knew the expansion would help bring in legitimate money, and he thought this would create a safe environment for his MC family. It would take some convincing to get all of his club members to see things his way. His guys knew gun distribution was risky, but it brought in the cash.

"We’ve got to do something about Duce. He had no business showing up here unannounced making demands. Who the hell does he think he is? The dumbass was even stupid enough to make threats against you! It’s only a matter of time before they really fuck up and someone gets hurt!” Goliath’s shout echoed through the garage.

"How are you planning to deal with them?” Pops demanded. “You know they’re gonna be pissed and maybe even try to take us out when you stop the shipments. We've been at this a long time. They aren't gonna be happy about us cutting them off."

"You let me worry about that. I’ll take care of it,” Bishop stated with his fists clenched. “We’ll make the run as scheduled on Thursday night. Take Ace, Sheppard, and a couple of the prospects with you. Keep me posted. That run on Interstate 40 is on the feds’ radar for deliveries in and out of the city. The Diablos don't care about the guys they lose in these exchanges. We have to watch out for our own."

"You got it. I'll set it up," agreed Goliath.

"And get with Renegade. Tell him to meet me at the club tonight at 7:00. It's about time to start discussing some changes in the club. I want him in on this," Bishop shouted as he was leaving the garage. He wanted the right man to help him with the transition. He would need someone that was trustworthy and strong enough to deal with any conflicts they faced when the expansion began. He knew Renegade would be just the man for the job.

Just as he was getting on his bike, his cell phone rang. He didn't recognize the number and wondered who the hell it could be. It gave him an uneasy feeling.

"Yeah?" Bishop snapped.

"Mr. Bishop, this is Tessa Campbell. I'm Myles's teacher. I need you to come to school to meet with me about a situation that happened at school today," Tessa began softly.

"What the hell happened?" Bishop demanded.

"Well… I would really like to discuss that when you get to the school. I’m sure we can work it all out once we sit down and talk," Tessa replied tactfully.

"I’ll be there in ten," Bishop growled, clicked his phone off, and shoved it into his back pocket. His bike roared to life as he took off for the school.

Bishop was worried about his son. Myles had been distant over the past few months. Lately, he seemed to be getting even more withdrawn. He'd thought it was because of Cassie's death, but now it seemed like there was more to it. Myles just didn't seem like the same kid. He had always been so open and happy. He was lost in his own world, and it was really starting to get old. He wanted his son back, and after today, it looked like things might be getting even worse.

As Bishop pulled up to the school, he realized most of the cars and kids had already gone for the day. His patience was wearing thin, and he struggled to keep his irritation in check. The last thing he needed was another problem to deal with. He had too much on his mind, and he didn’t need to add Myles to his concerns. He walked toward the school doors as he rubbed the tense muscles in his neck. Glancing up, he saw Myles standing just outside the front doors, watching cautiously as he approached. Bishop's eyes moved to the woman standing protectively next to his son. He immediately liked what he saw. His gaze slid up her long, tan legs to the gray pencil skirt hugging her full hips, and he inhaled a sharp breath. His eyes continued traveling upward to the black button-down shirt she wore. He noticed the shirt clung to her hourglass figure and stretched tightly over her ample breasts. Her long brown hair was pulled into a low ponytail which rested on her shoulder. As he finally met her dark chestnut eyes, he was surprised at how they penetrated him.
Damn I'd love to see those eyes looking up at me while she’s sucking my cock. I’d grab that ponytail just as I....

"Hi, you must be Myles's father. It's nice to meet you. I’m Tessa Campbell," Tessa stated. He suppressed a smile as he watched her eyes travel over his large six foot five frame with raised eyebrows. Her wide eyes roamed from his black biker boots up to his faded jeans and tight black t-shirt. They lingered on the ink trailing down his arm, then moved to the President’s patch sewn on his leather vest. He ran a hand through his thick shaggy hair. It was dark with a hint of gray, just like the stubble of his beard. The ladies had always told him that his dark hair made his blue eyes seem more intense. When her eyes finally met his, he found it hard to keep his focus.

"Name's Cole Bishop. Nice to meet ya. Care to let me in on what this is all about?" Bishop asked firmly. He glanced over to Myles and gave him a stern look.

Tessa turned her eyes to Myles and placed her hand on his shoulder, "Let's take your father down to the classroom. You can get on the computer while we talk. It shouldn't take long, and you can get caught up on your homework."

Bishop followed them down the long, empty hall, enjoying the view of the teacher's ass as she walked into the classroom. He noticed her classroom had a home-like feel to it. There were lamps around the room, and there was a small sofa in the corner for a reading area. The room was cozy, and her small desk was very neat and organized. His dick got hard just thinking of bending her over that desk.
Damn, my head is not in the right place for this conversation.
He needed to focus on Myles, not his hot teacher. He wanted to get this over with as soon as possible so he could meet up with Renegade. He had other things he needed to take care of.

"So what's this all about? What did Myles do?" Bishop demanded as he entered the classroom.

Tessa walked over to her desk and sat down. She motioned for him to do the same. "Actually, Myles was in a one-sided fight during my Language class this afternoon. We were discussing idioms, and how we use them in everyday conversations. One of the students in the class provoked Myles with his choice of idiom, and he took the bait," Tessa tried to explain.

"So you’re saying that ‘idioms’ caused Myles to fight during your class?" Bishop tried to hold back his temper. Myles knew what he thought about starting fights at school. This was a stupid waste of his time.

"Basically, this kid, Bradley, implied that he wanted to 'knock Myles into next week'. We were discussing the different phrases, and Bradley chose that phrase to get Myles riled up. It worked better than he expected. Myles ended up hitting him several times. Myles is a very bright young man, and he knows that fighting is not tolerated in my class. They all know that I have high expectations for my students," Tessa stated firmly.

"I'll take care of it," Bishop snapped, becoming even more irritated as he became restless in his seat.

"There has to be a consequence to his behavior or he won't learn his lesson, Mr. Bishop. I have a suggestion if you’re willing to hear me out," Tessa continued and tried to settle herself.

“Well, this oughta be good. What do you have in mind,
Mrs.
Campbell?” Bishop asked, sarcasm dripping from his words.

“Well,
Mr.
Bishop, we have our yearly school fair coming up next month. I thought it’d be a good idea to have Myles help with the preparations. There is a great deal of work that has to be done to get things ready, and I think Myles would benefit from helping with a project like this. He could stay after school with me a couple days a week and help get things organized. We have to get the games together and paint the signs that will go around town. I’ll have several other workers, too, so he will have some help. Consider it community service,” Tessa said hopefully. He could tell she really wanted him to do this. The sincere look in her eyes made it hard for him to turn her down.

“So you want him to make games and paint some signs for his punishment? Hmm… Sounds like he’s getting off pretty easy with that, but if that’s what you wanna do, it works for me. When does he start, and when will I need to pick him up?” Bishop asked.

“I’ll need him to be here on Tuesdays and Thursdays till about five o’clock.”

“OK, sounds good. I’ll pick him up tomorrow at five o’clock out front.” He gave Myles a disapproving look. “Let’s go Myles. We have some talking to do. Sorry about the trouble, Mrs. Campbell. I’ll set him straight when we get home,” Bishop huffed as he got up to leave.

“It’s really not a problem. I think Myles is a great kid. I’m looking forward to working with him over the next few weeks. I think it’ll be good for him to meet some of the other kids in school, and it’s
Ms
. Campbell or you can just call me Tessa,” she said with a smile and reached to shake his hand.

As their hands met, Bishop felt the warmth of her touch and his pulse quickened. He noticed the light blush that crept over Tessa’s face and knew she felt it, too. Bishop gave her a wink and headed out the door.

Bishop had a firm discussion with Myles on the way home and told him no more fighting or there would be hell to pay. When they made it to the clubhouse, he sent him to kitchen to get something to eat. Several of the Old Ladies would be getting dinner ready for the guys, and he knew they would take care of Myles while he met with Renegade. He entered the bar area and found several of his men already hooking up with some of the Fallen girls. The Devil Chasers had several club whores that were great at giving head or giving up pussy whenever the guys needed a release or just wanted to get laid. They were also good for keeping the place clean and serving the guys beers. The DCs called them the Fallen girls. Renegade had one of the girls named Jessica in his lap and a beer in his hand. Jessica was whispering something in his ear, and it was obvious what her intentions were; she pressed her breasts against his chest as she laughed at what he had just said. She was one of the younger Fallen girls and had legs for days. Her long blonde hair flowed down her back as she tossed it over her shoulder. She was a pretty girl, and the guys seemed to really like her. She was a known screamer. She liked it rough and couldn’t seem to get enough of Renegade. They all knew she was hoping to become his Old Lady someday, but Bishop didn’t see that happening. Renegade hadn’t met a girl yet that could keep him from straying. He was one of the better-looking guys. His buzzed dark hair and day-old beard gave him a fierce but sexy look. He wore his leather cut with his torn blue jeans and black boots. He was tall, with a large, muscular build. He was a fighter in high school and had never lost his edge. He had a soft heart, but he didn’t take shit off of anyone. The girls seemed to think he was really something, so they were always coming on to him. Bishop could relate. They did the same thing to him. It was nice to have the pick of the women whenever he wanted to get laid.

“Give us a minute, Jessica. I need to speak with Renegade for a bit. Grab us a couple of beers before you head out,” Bishop ordered.

“Sure thing. I’ll be waiting, Renegade.” Jessica nipped Renegade’s ear as she slid off of his lap. He gave her a quick pop on her rear and a knowing smile.
Yeah, there will definitely be some screaming going on with them later tonight.
Jessica placed two beers on the counter as Bishop sat down next to Renegade.

“What’s on your mind, Prez?” Renegade asked. “Goliath told me you wanted to meet with me tonight about some club business.”
