He couldn't pull away - and a moment later, he lost all remaining control.

Killian gasped for breath as he felt himself empty, his cock flexing and contracting over and over as he joyously blew his load. It seemed to go on forever, a much longer rush of pleasure than he ever got when he helped himself get off with a quick jerk session in private! He slumped back onto the bed, lost in the amazement of release, feeling like his every neuron was afire with acid.

For a second or two, he squeezed his eyes shut, just luxuriating in the sensation of a woman bringing him to pleasure, of a long-awaited rush coming not on his own, but with someone else, someone he could share with.

After another minute, Killian felt those soft lips give his cock one last lick, making sure that it was spotless, before they gently withdrew. His hard member, already starting to grow a little softer, dropped back down to land on his pelvis as she gently released her fingers from around its girth.

And a moment later, she crawled back up on the bed, pressing the length of her lean body against him. He could feel her breathing hard, her flat stomach bumping against his as she took in each breath of air.

With an effort, he opened one eye as she nestled her head against him, looking up at him with those big brown eyes. Her little upturned nose gently inflated as she breathed, watching him, waiting for his reaction.

"That was-" he started, but he couldn't find the right word to finish the sentence. Amazing? Mind-blowing? The hottest thing he'd ever felt, even better than the one night a decade or so ago when he met those two girls at the bar and convinced them both- He didn't have the words.

"Good?" she asked, after his moment of silence, her eyes wide.

Killian suddenly realized that the young woman was trembling as she pressed up against his body. His whole mind shook for a moment. Was she nervous? He had thought that the look in her eyes was enjoyment, but he suddenly saw nervousness, fear, maybe even panic, mixed in with her other emotions.

Only then did he realize just how vulnerable this young black woman felt, how much she'd risked by opening herself up to him, by letting him in this deeply into her life.

He reached out and swept her up into his arms, squeezing her close. As she pressed up against him, her trembling more pronounced now, he kissed her, multiple times, first on the neck, then on the ear, then on the cheek, and finally on the lips. He pulled her trembling body in against his own and tried to hold her firmly, tried to mentally push his contentment over to her mind as well.

She was still shaking, he felt. After a second, he realized that she was whispering words to him, her lips barely able to make the words clear.

"Please, please don't leave me, don't push me away," she murmured to him, as she shivered in his arms, her naked body shaking in a way that filled him with emotion.

Leave her? He would never- Killian froze, trying to adjust his mind to this message. He wouldn't think of leaving her, even if she had remained just as cold and aloof as the previous night! Did she think so little of him that she'd believe-

But then, he made another realization, and his mind went blank for a second in awe.

For Alicia, he realized, she'd never had anyone like this. The only person she'd ever relied on, her brother, had been taken from her. She had been rudderless, adrift without an anchor, without anyone to trust or rely on, no one to help her carry the burden of her fear and anxiety.

No one except for him.

And now, she worried that, after giving him the release he wanted from her body, he wouldn't need her any longer.

For a second, Killian's mouth dropped open as this idea materialized in his head, as he considered its implications. And then, shaking off that momentary amazement, he pulled the girl against him, squeezing her so tightly he momentarily feared that he might crack one of her ribs as she pressed against his chest.

"No, I won't," he whispered back to her, feeling a rush of deep caring, knowing that the words he spoke were true even as they left his mouth. "I'm not leaving. I'm here for you, with you until the end. Alicia, I-"

There was one last word, but he couldn't quite say it. Not yet.

But it would come in time, he knew. He didn't have to say it now.

For now, just laying in bed, holding this woman in his arms was enough.

He traced his fingers along the smooth lines of her body, marveling at how her darker skin contrasted against his lighter tones, trying to memorize every single curve and shape of her as she pressed back against him. Slowly, he listened as her breathing slowed, as her sobbing ceased and she held him back.

Chapter twenty-three

It was close to an hour later when Killian finally pulled himself up from the bed, stretching out his body. He felt lighter, to his amazement, more limber and awake. Maybe it was the fact that Alicia had sucked him dry - or maybe he felt like he'd left behind some of his worry and fear, abandoning it as a new connection forged itself between him and the woman still laying in bed, now lazily half-turned to admire his naked body as he stood.

"We should probably pull our minds back to the task at hand," Killian suggested, although he was struggling with even that suggestion. Just looking down at Alicia's body, on full display and tempting him with her assets, he felt tempted to jump back into the bed with her, to pleasure her until she screamed with delight, until she'd never think of even stepping beyond those sheets. He could spend the rest of his life in this hotel room with her, tasting every inch of her, owning her.

He probably shouldn't say that aloud, he thought to himself with a little grin, given the slavery undertones - but it was true nonetheless.

For a moment, he was convinced that he could see Alicia struggling with exactly the same thoughts, wanting to reach out and pull him back down, to beg him to make endless love to her. But she also fought off the temptation, sitting up and pulling one of the sheets over her long legs, her soft little bush between her thighs.

"What do I need to do?" she asked.

Her voice sounded different, Killian observed. Before, where her tones had been filled with fear and uncertainty, she now sounded stronger, a little more confident. He could still hear the concern, but it was tempered now with determination, iron-hard conviction.

He liked this new side of her, seeing this new strength in her personality. And he felt himself gaining confidence from it as well. They could do this.

"You need to call the kidnappers," he said, glancing over at the clock standing on the table at the side of the bed. "Tell them that you've got the money, that you need to arrange the meeting place and time. Tell them that you'll come with a man who has the money to pay - that way, they'll know why I'm there with you."

She nodded. Instead of fear, her eyes glowed with determination. The end was in sight. "And then what?" she asked.

"And then, text me the location, any other details - and then get ready. We don't want to be late for this."

"What about you?" she asked, also standing up so that she could retrieve fresh clothes from her suitcase. For a moment, Killian nearly lost his train of thought as her naked body sauntered by him, his dick competing with his brain for precious blood flow.

"I've got some errands to run," he said, after taking a second to recover. "I'll be back in time to meet you and drive you to the location. After you've texted me the address of the meet, be ready in the lobby for when I come back."

Killian busied himself getting dressed, as Alicia did the same. He tried to not sneak too many glimpses over at the woman, watching her body shimmy as she pulled on panties, a bra, and then a pair of jeans, but he still took longer to get his own clothes on than usual. He couldn't help it if the very sight of her entranced him!

Only after she'd covered herself up did he finally kick his own actions into high gear. He pulled on a pair of jeans, a loose white shirt, and then threw on his jacket over the top. He stepped over to the side table, pulled out the drawer, and then, with a quick apologetic glance at Alicia, withdrew the gun from the drawer and slid it into the back of his jeans. He turned back and forth for a minute in front of the mirror, making sure that his jacket covered up the bulge of the gun in the middle of his waist when viewed from behind.

When he looked back at Alicia, however, she didn't seem as bothered by the presence of the weapon. Maybe she really had come to understand, he considered, but he wisely decided not to ask about it and push the issue.

"Remember, let me know the address of the meeting as soon as you find out," he reminded Alicia before he left. "After that, just meet me down in the lobby when I get back - and I promise, I'll make sure that everything turns out alright."

Alicia nodded back, although her face still looked a little drawn and concerned. Impulsively, Killian stepped over towards her, sweeping her up into his arms. Even clothed, she still felt like an amazing little handful.

"Hey," he said quietly, waiting until her eyes were on him. "Everything is going to be okay. Believe me."

At first, she didn't respond - but her eyes looked back at him, not pulling away. Eventually, after a silent pause that felt like it stretched on for an eternity, she nodded.

"I know," she said softly, smiling back up at him even as tears glistened at the corners of her eyes. "I know that you're going to make sure that everything works out, that Marcus comes back safe."

He pulled her into a hug, holding her close, not even caring about the wetness of her tears as they soaked into his shirt. He rocked back and forth, holding this younger woman against him, wanting to protect her against the entire world.

Once again, a very particular word danced briefly across his mind, straying almost - but not all the way - down to his tongue.

He fought it back, swallowing it as a lump in his throat. Killian reluctantly released Alicia from his hug, turning to the door. "Remember, I'll see you soon," he said, calling over his shoulder before opening the front door to the hotel room.

He stepped out of the room quickly, forbidding himself from turning to look back at her.

Down at the lobby, Killian waited impatiently for the valet to bring his car around to the front of the hotel's entrance. Fortunately, the young man didn't take long, and he slipped the younger fellow a twenty dollar bill as he climbed in behind the wheel.

Once in the car, Killian paused for a second before pulling out of the hotel's front entrance. Struck by a sudden consideration, he leaned across the central console, popping open the glove compartment. He pulled the gun out from behind his back and tossed it into the glove compartment, closing the compartment before sitting back up and putting the car into drive.

After all, he thought to himself, better to not go walking into a bank with a loaded weapon.

And sure enough, the downtown bank was his first stop. Killian pulled into the parking lot, parked, and grabbed a thin briefcase out of the trunk of his car. Briefcase in hand, he strolled the few feet to the door. He kept his gaze down and his approach casual as he stepped over to fill out a deposit slip, but his brain was running a mile a minute, trying to calculate just how much this would end up costing him.

The final total, he had to admit, didn't look good.

When Killian finished working for the Zerellis, he'd run several calculations, making sure that he had enough money to retire and to not worry about working again for a long time - possibly forever. His calculations, however, hadn't figured on handing out a hundred thousand dollars to pay for a kidnapping charge.

He could swing it, he knew. The night before, after Alicia had gone to sleep, he'd stayed awake, looking at the gun, checking his accounts, and moving around money to make sure he'd have enough to cover the cost. But he knew that he'd be stretching his money dangerously thin.

For a moment, as he filled out the deposit slip and then glanced around for the bank's manager, Killian snorted to himself with mirthless amusement. He, the guy driving the expensive Maserati, was about to be next thing to broke!

When he finally spotted the manager, he gave him a little wave and stepped over. "Hi - I called you yesterday afternoon about making a large withdrawal," Killian commented as he held out his hand. "Dr. Killian Kane."
