I raised myself up and placed the tip of him against my opening. Closing my eyes I drew him in right
to the base every inch was pure pleasure, gasping I moved faster the friction against my clit was
driving me wild

“Look at me Leah I want to see you” I opened my eyes gazing at him he groaned loudly as he came
inside me, my own took me in waves that left me trembling. I collapsed on his chest Adam stroked
my hair

“Staying at my father’s wasn’t good for my libido Leah, two days not being able to be inside you isn’t
much fun.” I smiled loving the fact he felt the same way I did. The connection I had found physically
with Adam was overwhelming. It was the first time in my life I had allowed anyone so close and the
feeling was so good it had become almost an addiction. I craved intimacy with him all the time;
every second not touching was like an itch that needed scratching. He turned me over sliding
carefully out of me, the action caused tiny tremors on my already sensitised skin, the tremble caused
a moan and in return Adam instantly hardened again.

“Oh dear Leah why did you have to do that, I have to start all over again now” he kissed my breast
and I giggled writhing beneath him to tease him some more “You really shouldn’t have done that
baby. Sleep or me what is it to be?” I licked my lips suggestively

“You please” silenced by his mouth the next hour passed rather pleasantly, tiredness forgotten. By
the time we fell asleep my body was like play dough, relaxed, soft and thoroughly manhandled.
Chapter 18

I was meeting Dimitri and Alexandra in an hour; I had cleared it with Gordon to be out of the office
for the rest of the day. Time with Alexandra was part of my job now; she was probably going to be
the main focus of my article. I looked in the mirror touching up my makeup, Lucy would be so proud
of me. I had made a special effort today wearing a fitted sheath dress and heels. My hair was dried
but left loose flowing around my shoulders; the blonde had lifted more in the sun so it was almost
platinum. I touched up my lips and added a second layer of mascara, I was done, it was time to meet
a lady I truly hoped would become a friend.

The restaurant was busy, the same waiter I had last time spotted me immediately,

“Good afternoon Miss Fellows your two guests are waiting at your table follow me” I checked my
watch wondering if I was late, but I was bang on time. Gino led me to the same secluded corner we
had last time, Dimitri stood smiling to greet me

“Hey Leah looking good today” I smiled grateful that he noticed “Mum has just popped to the ladies
she will be back in a moment. She feels odd being out of the house, it makes her nervous” I frowned
Victor had really done a number on his wife. Alexandra appeared looking faultless in a long summer
dress with sandals, I couldn’t help but notice the stunning diamonds adorning her ears.

“Mrs Bosic it is lovely to see you again thanks for agreeing to meet me” she pulled me into a hug

“Please call me Alexandra, and I am thrilled to be here, I don’t get chance to socialise without Victor
very often so it is quite exciting” I looked at the two burly security men standing at the bar watching
our every move. Victor had let her out yes, but he was still here really in his own way. We were
ready to order when Dimitri excused himself

“I am going to leave you girls to it, I have extra training for Saturday, I will be playing centre forward
so want to practice my shots” I was thrilled that he was playing, we were going to the derby game
after Victor kindly invited us to share his box. Watching Dimitri play would be a thrill.

Alexandra ordered a salad I plumped for the risotto again, she suddenly looked shy now she was
alone. I must make her feel relaxed or I could lose her altogether.

“So Alexandra what are your hobbies? Do you still ride” I had read up on her history with horses, she
had a stable full of them close to her London home “You must miss them being up here?” her face lit
up instantly. Phew she was back with me again. I heard all about the stables, each of her
thoroughbreds and was surprised to learn she had a pilot’s license. Mrs Bosic flew herself to the
stables three times per week. I was also surprised to learn that due to being indoors a lot she had
hired herself private tutors. Alexandra spoke three languages, played the piano and could design
computer programmes. Wow.

“Why don’t you put all those talents to use? You could set up business developing software or
something, I know you don’t need the money but don’t you want something that is yours? Once
Dimitri is married and self-sufficient you will have so much more spare time” I caught a distant look
in her eyes and wondered whether I had overstepped the mark a bit.

“You are right Leah, but since the day Victor brought Dimitri home my life has been all about him, I
wanted a child so much. Do you know before Dimitri I had six miscarriages,” I winced that must have
been draining for them both “Victor was so kind, he wasn’t the most attentive husband, I knew that I
wasn’t perhaps enough for him but the one thing we did bond over was having a child. And once
Dimitri no longer needs me I don’t know what I will do. I am not sure Victor would approve of me
being in business, after all that is his domain” We chatted about mundane things for the next hour
until the security men informed us it was time for her to leave.

“Thanks again Alexandra I will see you at the match on Saturday” she hugged me again then left. I
sat back down with my note pad and spent the next couple of hours drinking Gino’s wonderful
coffee and writing up my notes while it was all fresh in my head.

I was shaking with excess energy when I got home, far too many coffees. A long run was what I
needed. Ear buds in I set off to try and run ten kilometres, I had let my fitness go a little. Apart from
the amazing sex I wasn’t doing anything. I found the first three miles agony; my muscles had
forgotten how to work.

Running alongside the canal I scanned around for a good place to put mum’s bench I was thrilled Ray
was going to help me. I was suddenly aware of footsteps behind me I removed an ear bud so I didn’t
feel as vulnerable; I shivered as the man jogged past me. I was about to put the bud back in when
the man stopped just a few feet from me. Suddenly running alone along the river with no mobile
was the most stupid idea I had ever had. Shit Adam would go mad risking my safety yet again, I
didn’t really want to pass the stranger but I did aiming to look unaffected.

As I stepped around him he stuck his leg out deliberately causing me to tumble to the ground, I
yelped as my knee struck a rock and my face landed in nettles. Struggling to gather myself I was then
pinned to the floor by his weight, I writhed around trying to get free but he was too strong. The man
was wearing a hood and had a scarf across his mouth so I couldn’t see anything but his eyes. I tried
to scream but his hand planted itself over my mouth, bile filled my throat as it dawned on me he was
trying to get my shorts down.

No way was I going to be a rape victim not a chance, a surge of adrenalin shot through me. Being
flexible I managed to wrap my legs around his thighs linking them so he was effectively trapped. I
sank my teeth into his hand so he released me I screamed as hard and loud as I could.

He punched me in the face to shut me up, this just made me fight harder I had managed to wriggle
out from under him and drove my knee into him full force in his crotch he sagged into a heap yelling
profanities. I managed to free myself from him, bending forward I ripped his scarf off so I could get a
good long look at his face

“I will see you in court arsehole” I crawled up the embankment terrified he would follow, I could see
houses and people so knew I was safe I reached the top somehow and saw a lady walking her dog, I
reached out to her and she came straight over pulling her phone out to dial the police. Soon I was
surrounded by people two local men went down to see if the man was still there, they found him
still writhing about on the floor. Making a citizen’s arrest they roughly dragged him up the hil.
Someone had wrapped a blanket around me, and one kind lady had gone in her house and made me
a cup of tea.

We all waited together for the police, my attacker was by now recovered and trying to fight his way
free. Apparently he was known locally as a trouble maker, local lad from a rough family he had a list
of hasbo’s and convictions to his name. I was feeling sick now the punch had given me a headache
and my twisted knee was agony. I wanted Adam and I wanted a bed, I knew I could use someone’s
phone to call him but to be honest I felt embarrassed; he was going to be so angry.

Two hours later I was in the hospital having my knee x-rayed, Steven Baker was arrested, there had
been five rapes in the area all matching his attack on me so I was very lucky. I was given the all clear
to go home; my knee was badly twisted but not damaged. I had suffered a few cuts and bruises but
nothing a shower and painkillers couldn’t fix. So to get home I needed to call Adam, shit I was
nervous. I almost hung up when he answered, obviously as I was using the public phone he wouldn’t
have a clue who was calling. I winced when I heard panic in his voice

“Leah is that you? Where the hell are you I have been searching for three hours you’ve left your
phone here” I let him rant a little before I answered

“Can you pick me up from Salford Royal please?” silence… “I was out running by the canal and I had
a little trouble but I am fine now, I just want to come home” my voice cracked, I didn’t want to be
told off I wanted a cuddle, “Can you be quick please” Adam could hear my anguish and hung up to
come and get me.

Swallowing back the tears I tried to make myself look presentable for him so he didn’t freak out, one
look at my bruised swollen cheek and nettle rash would spoil that though. Twenty minutes after
calling him I heard him arrive; he marched into my cubicle and stopped dead. His face whitened and
his eyes glistened. I could see fear and I knew I had to tell him I was better than I looked.

“Adam it’s okay they are just bruises, I want to go home just please take me home” He nodded still
horrified by my appearance. I hopped off the bed realising as a shot of pain streaked up my leg, that
walking was not an option. Adam was staring at my bandaged leg flashes of fury were rippling over
his face as he helped me to a wheel chair. He pushed me out of the hospital to his waiting car, which
I noticed was illegally parked.

Once comfortable in the back of the car I relaxed, Adam didn’t say a word on the way home, the
silence was deafening. I was carried into the flat and taken straight to my bed;

“Tell me everything now Leah my mind is creating its own scenario, yours had better be good or so
help me god I am liable to punch something.” I was then so overwhelmed I began to shake feeling
the need to throw up I retched. Adam jumped up lifting me to the bathroom so I could bend over
the sink. Kneeling at the toilet would have been impossible; he rubbed my back while I relieved my
stomach of my delicious risotto and numerous cappuccinos’.

Once the retching stopped he sat with me on his lap on the toilet seat, his face was a mask of worry.
I was on the edge of becoming an emotional wreck so I took a deep breath and told Adam
everything that had happened by the canal. When I stopped he was biting his lip, his eyes were
almost black but thank god he did exactly what I needed he took care of me before losing his
temper.

Carefully removing my bandage he groaned when he saw the swelling, he peeled off my top wincing
at the sight of bruised ribs. He stood to turn on the shower then came back to remove my shorts and
pants, stripping off his own clothes he picked me up and carried me into the cascade of warm
cleansing water. Oh my it felt good, he stood me gently on my one leg arm firmly holding me in
place, he pulled down the built in seat from the tiles and sat me down gently as he shampooed my
hair and washed every single inch of my body.

It felt so gentle an act of tenderness that burned my heart with pain and gratitude. As he rinsed off
the soap I risked a glance at his face, the anger had been replaced with concern. Turning the water
off he grabbed a large towel and wrapped me in it. Carrying me carefully to the bed where he dried
me off, redressed my leg and gently clothed me in my silk pyjamas. Tucking me in he left to fetch me
a cup of tea.

From the bedroom I could hear raised voices, Adam was on the phone, I bet he was talking to the
police, I could hear him asking who was the legal representative and what were the charges. Ten
minutes later he wandered in with my tea looking more in control again.

“The police think he will get ten years minimum, the other victims all remember the man’s eyes so
they have all positively identified him as their attacker”. Adam closed his eyes holding back his
feelings “you are the only one who managed to fight him off, the only victim he didn’t rape” the
agony on Adam’s face was apparent “ the police want to interview you again for an official
statement I have insisted they wait until the morning. Gordon wants you to take the rest of the week
off, I have taken some time out to look after you” his voice cracked I placed my hand on his leg

“Leah you were almost raped you could have been killed, how many more chances are you going to
take on your life, I told you before I won’t lose another woman that I love. If you can’t look after
yourself there is no future for us do you hear me” I withdrew my hand as the words sank in, Adam
looked guilty but stood up defiant “get some rest I am going to watch the television for a while” and
he left me.

I was stunned, was he ending it? I couldn’t tell. I badly needed to talk to him, but time to think was
what he wanted, I would wait until the morning. My body was wrecked I was far too tired to make
any sense anyway so I shuffled down in the bed and let sleep take me over.

I couldn’t breathe; there was a heavy weight on my chest. My arms were pinned to my sides; all I
could see were his eyes burning into me, telling me they were going to break me. I tried to scream
but my mouth was bound. Panic was building inside me, thrusting my way clear I managed to draw a
breath and scream.
