Slipping out from under the vice grip he had on me the next morning was not easy, but I managed. Or I thought I did.

Cole laughed as he opened just one eye, studying me. “Where are you running of to?”

I punched him softly to get him to let go. “Coffee. I need cof…” Before I could spit it out, Cole had me under him. “Hey, get off of me.” I nudged and prodded, trying to break his grip, but he wasn’t budging.

“I’ll let you get up for your precious coffee if you give me five minutes.”

I grunted loudly. I hated not having coffee first thing in the morning. “How about I go make coffee and then we come back to bed after?”

“Oh, we’re gonna do that, too, but right now I need those lips.”

My hand raised to cover my mouth, worried about my breath. “Um…maybe,” I attempted another excuse.

“Maybe nothing.” Cole shook his head once before giving me the best wake-up kiss ever. It was so good I even forget about my stinky breath.

“Are you going to just stare?” I asked as I slipped into my panties.

“Yes, I am,” he said proudly, tucking his arms behind his head. “Feel free to stay and watch me, if you want,” he teased.

I sashayed back over and pecked him on the lips. “We’d never leave this room. I’ll make the coffee.” With that, Cole smacked me on my ass as I turned out of his grip.

Cole emerged downstairs, looking like sin in his shorts. I stared at his fine ass when he took the mug from my hand and sipped his black coffee.

“So, how do you want to do this?”

I sipped my coffee. “What do you mean?”

“Well, AJ and his friends are still here. I have two more days until I head home. Mama is bound to figure out where I head to every night after work. So I’m thinking we should just come clean. Do the couple thing right off the bat.” He shrugged. “And before you say anything, I’ll talk to your daddy.”

I sipped my coffee, peeking up at his perfect naked chest. Cole had one of those bodies women just appreciated. He was tall with broad, tanned shoulders, a toned waist garnished with a six-pack. Even back in high school not one guy could compete with the likes of Cole Lucca. All of that blond, wavy hair and those crystal blue eyes had left quite a few girls speechless back in the day. It was like he put a girl into a trance if she stared too long.

I shrugged, acting like it was no big deal. “If you think that’s wise, go for it.”

Cole strutted around the island with humor in his eyes, setting his mug down.

I was in his arms a second later. And I was really starting to like being wrapped around him.

He grinned. “Your daddy is going to be relieved when I talk to him. Look at it this way, it’ll give him hope that you’ll come back east when I graduate. He won’t worry so much.”

“You feel like going to Dairy Queen later?”

Cole smiled down at me. “Nice subject change.” He kissed me quickly. “I need to work on the roof all day. How about I take you tonight for some ice cream?”

I nodded happily. “Okay, don’t work too hard. I’m just going to hit the beach for a bit and then come get real, real wet when I jump into the pool,” I taunted him with licking my lips.

“You keep doing that and I’m gonna go all caveman on you and keep you tied up in my bed, so I can have you anytime I want.”

I turned to walk away, but peeked over my shoulder. “Is that a promise?”

Cole rounded the island so fast I barely had time to register that he was coming after me.

I squealed, trying to make a break for it, but he was too quick and too strong. Before I knew it I was hanging over his shoulder. I banged like an ape on his back, yelling over and over again, “Put me down.”

“What the hell is going on out here?” AJ hollered. He tipped his head and stared at me hanging upside down. “Never mind. I got a pretty good idea.” He turned and went back into the room, chuckling.

Cole took off climbing two steps at a time, while I laughed the whole way into his room. He threw me down on the bed.

“What are you doing?” I asked as he tossed his shorts to the ground.

“I warned you.”

“Cole, don’t you have work to do?” I reminded him.

He smiled wide. “A man needs to eat first. Breakfast is, after all, the most important meal of the day.” He leapt onto the bed like an excited schoolboy. Cole grabbed the bottom of my shorts and yanked them down so hard I went with them.

“Don’t rip them. I love this pair.”

“They’ll look much better on the floor.” He snickered.

I rolled my eyes at his cheesy remark and then closed them.

“Damn, those panties. I almost forgot how sexy they are.” Cole ran his hand up the side of my leg. “Belly?”

I opened my eyes. “Hmm?”

“Has anyone ever gone down on you?”

Nervous, I shook my head. It wasn’t that I was a prude or anything, it was just that in high school I barely let Tate get to third base and Aaron said he thought it was unsanitary.

Cole’s tongue glided over and over his lips, moistening them while his eyes begged me to say yes. He kissed me, his lips barely touching mine, but his tongue snaked out and slipped inside my mouth teasingly every few seconds. His lips left mine as he placed a gentle trail of kisses down my body, stopping at the top of my panties.

I lay there nervous, trembling inside as to what was to come next. Cole placed his hand on my knee and kissed my inner thigh. “Belly, I’ll stop if you don’t want me to.”

“What?”

“You’re shaking.”

Unable to say anything, and I wasn’t sure if it was my nerves or the anticipation of what was going to happen, I parted my legs, giving him the go ahead that he was waiting for. He lay down on top of me and slowly came back up and pecked my lips. “Don’t be nervous. It’s just me, but you need to relax and trust me in order to enjoy it, okay? Can you do that?” He stared into my eyes waiting for me to answer.

I nodded sheepishly. “I want to try.”

His smile widened. “Remember, just tell me to stop if it’s too much.” His finger slid up one leg and stopped at my panties. I held my breath as his fingers dipped inside. He gave me a wolfish smile before he slowly tugged them down, tossing them onto the floor.

His mouth leisurely and agonizingly teased one thigh and then the other. I squirmed while he continued to torment me with kisses and the feel of his tongue gliding against my skin. I started to tell him to stop, but his mouth moved and I cried out as he pushed me to a place of bliss that I never even knew existed as he settled between my legs.

My fingers gripped the sheets as he continued to explore me, making me feel like I was going to go over some sort of cliff of orgasmic pleasure and die happily when I landed. I arched my hips instantly when he flicked his tongue and then swirled circles and lines across my sex. He kissed me hard. He licked and sucked until I screamed in pleasure.

Cole muttered my name as few times, but I was so far gone I wasn’t sure what else he said. Wave after wave of pure astounding pleasure took over to the point that I couldn’t think anymore. I heard myself groan as I started to come undone He spread my legs even wider and the intensity of his mouth took me straight over the edge.

I froze, realizing that he was still down there, kissing my thigh and then my stomach until his lips caressed mine. “That was unbelievable, baby.” His eyes searched mine, but I was too embarrassed to look at him. His hand grabbed my chin, forcing me to. “Belly, look at me.”

I opened my eyes.

“Did you like it?”

Cole was asking me if I liked it and I was just lying there like a deaf fish, unable to answer after what he just did to me. Did I like it? My god did I. I closed my eyes for a second to gather up the courage to answer him, trying to leave my bashful at the door. When I opened them, he was frowning and I could tell he thought the worst. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him down to me. “When can we do that again?”

Cole panted like he was out of breath, but rested his forehead on mine. “Shit, you had me sweating there for a second.” He brushed the hair back from my face, smiling down at me. “We can do that anytime you want, baby.”

That afternoon a warm breeze stirred down by the water as I watched Cole up on that roof, laying shingle after shingle. Every once in a while he stopped and looked out toward me, and I waved. Cole was wearing those low-slung cargo shorts with a tool belt hanging off his hips. His bare chest tanned in the sun, looking hot as hell. Contentment with my life and where it seemed to be going had me daydreaming about what he had done to me earlier. My eyes closed, and I drifted off, listening to the waves of the ocean and the sound of gulls’ overhead.

The sound of my phone chirping gave me the start I needed to wake up. I ran my finger over the button. “Hey, Mama.”

“Hi, sugar. How’s the beach?”

“It’s fine, as if you didn’t know.” I held back a laugh, waiting for her to speak.

“Oh, did Cole manage to make it down there? That roof was getting so old.” She cleared her throat, like she was just plain lying. “It really needed replacement.”

“Dear lord, Mama, do you think we don’t know you and his mama set this up on purpose?” I stood, brushing the sand off my bottom.

“Does that mean everything is okay?” I couldn’t see her, but I was pretty positive she and Aunt Lu were together, jumping up and down with joy by the sound in the background.

“It means that I’ll talk to you when I get back.” I looked up and noticed the roof was empty. “I gotta go, mama.”

“Well, wait! Can’t you give a girl something?”

“Tell Aunt Lu I said hello and we’ll see you when we get back.” I slid the phone off and tossed it on my towel.

“Oomph!” He picked me up. “Cole Lucca, I am going to kill you.” When had Cole come up from behind me? He was soaking wet and smelled like the ocean. He tossed me over his shoulder again. When I hit his back he swatted my behind, but I continued to assault his back with my fists.

“Knock it off, Belly. I want to go for a swim with you.”

“Cole, I don’t want to get my hair wet.”

“Okay,” he said, but I knew him and I knew he was going to do it, regardless. He slowly waded into the water, carrying me over his shoulder. The salty spray of waves hit my legs and as he moved out farther I shivered at the cold temperature of the water.

I was waiting for him to toss me off.

He slid me slowly, gently down his body, kissing my stomach, then my chest. His lips pressed down on my shoulder. His tongue ran up my neck and softly sucked for a second. When he stopped his eyes met mine, and I smiled at his tenderness, but he winked, and then pushed down on my shoulders, dunking me under. I popped back up, my nice clean hair soaked and covered in seaweed and saltwater. Cole laughed, picking the pieces out.

“I hate you.”

He smiled and shook his head. “Nah, you don’t. And you knew I was going to do it. I always do.”

“Well, if that’s the way you want to play, fine by me.” My leg barely turned to get out of the ocean, when Cole flipped me around and held me tightly in his arms.

“Don’t be mad.”

“Oh, I’m not,” I said in my sweetest voice.

“Give me a kiss,” he demanded.

I tilted my head, grinning. “I don’t really feel like it. In fact, I think I’d like to sleep alone tonight.”

“I’m going to dunk you again if you mean that.”

“You would not even think about it if you knew what was good for you.”

He pulled me in closer, hoisting my leg around his waist. His finger slipped inside my bikini bottom and hit the right spot, causing me to flinch, but he just kept me close.

“Cole, not out here.”

“No one can see.” His mouth devoured mine. The salt of the ocean mixed with each flick of his tongue, throwing me into overdrive. “I want to make you come in the ocean.”

I wanted to say no, but, my god, he already had two fingers inside of me, and I was starting to realize I didn’t want him to stop. Cole moved us deeper so the water was up to his chest as the waves crashed around us. His mouth continued to rain kiss after kiss on my lips, my neck, and my collarbone. I wanted to move faster, to grind into him, but fear of people seeing us kept me still. I felt Cole smile as he kissed me hard.

“Move, Belly, I know you want to.”

“I can’t.”

“No one is watching, I promise.”

I shifted my hips a little more, letting the feel of his fingers take me away. I moaned into his ear. “I’m gonna come, Cole.”

“Fuck,” he muttered.

One hand moved inside my bathing suit bottom, while the other gripped my ass. I felt the explosion rip through me, as I sagged against his hard body. Cole removed his fingers and let my feet touch the bottom,

but he still held onto me.

“Well, that was fucking hot as hell.”

I couldn’t agree more. It by far was the bravest, hottest thing I’d ever done in my life.

Cole was grinning down at me, trying to contain his laughter and looking mighty pleased with himself.

“Spit it out, Lucca,” I told him.

“You said you were planning on sleeping alone. I wanted to remind you of what you’d be missing,” he said proudly, tapping my nose before diving under a small wave.

Oh, he was good but I’d show him. I stormed off the beach, listening to Cole laughing the whole time.

“AJ,” I yelled.

“He’s not here,” Brian said as he came out from the bedroom. “He went to pick up some food with Joe.”

I grabbed my bag from the stool by the island counter and dug inside and pulled out my wallet. “Brian, will you do me a favor? Can you and the boys give Cole and me some space tonight?” I handed him a hundred bucks.

Brian stared at the money in my hand, and then looked back up to me, his eyes full of lust. “What do you see in him?”

I sighed. “Honey, you are real cute, and I’m sure the girls go crazy for you, but I’m too old for you.”

“I won’t tell anyone, I swear,” he begged. The poor kid hadn’t blinked since I came inside.

“Sorry, honey. I’m off the market.”

Brian ripped the money from my hand, dropped his head down, and stalked back to the room, slamming the door.

I felt real bad for being so cruel, but what the hell was he thinking? No matter, I had some serious shopping to do in order to make Cole regret what he had done.
