Knowles has worked as an illustrator for the Oxford University Press, Harcourt, Pearson, Time Warner, and Glencoe, as a freelance illustrator and designer for Marvel Enterprises since 1995, in addition to having worked as a designer/illustrator creating art for Disney, DC Comics, and Warner Bros. Knowles worked as a storyboard artist for Saatchi & Saatchi, DDB Needham, ESPN, Kraft/Nabisco, and others. He lives in New Jersey with his wife Vicky and their three children.
In 1989, Joseph Michael Linsner created

Born in Queens, New York, he has recently moved to the north Georgia mountains, where he lives with his two Sphynx cats. His next project is the vampire graphic novel,
Dark Ivory
, to be cowritten with Eva Hopkins. 2007 will mark the tenth year of the Dawn-Look-A-Like contest, held annually at Atlanta's fantastic Dragon-Con.
