      "I can't do this, I'm sorry."

I turn and run out of their house and yank open my car door. My hands are shaking as I get my keys. Rhys comes and stands by the car I can hear what his shouting but I'm choosing to ignore him. He thinks I shouldn't drive, that it's dangerous but I need to go. My tyers screech as I pull away from the house and race back down there drive, through their gates and leave. I try to get my breathing in control as I drive home, on the long stretch of road along the big houses alongside Sophies I see a very nice sports car approaching. I'm not very good on my cars but I know it's an Audi and I look to admire it. As it comes side by side I can make out who the driver is, it's dark and if it was a stranger I wouldn't know who it was but I know that person all too well and by the looks of it Jax saw me too. Shit! I try to drive faster down the road and turn left so he can't follow my car, I hear screeching of tyers and pray he hasn't seen where I have gone. I decide to drive home through the little estates along peoples houses rather than the big open road because I can loose Jax that way.

~Jax~

   I was bored shitless at home when Rhys rang me.

      "Hey man whats up?"

   "So I'm about to tell you something big so don't freak out alright?"

       "Okaaayy."

I hear him breath heavily down the phone.

     
"So Sophie just came back from her hen trip with her girlfriends and I asked to see some photos and guess what I saw?"

   "Some sexy girl on girl pics?"

I would definitely love to see those. I hear Rhys laugh.

     
"Erm no. I saw pictures of her new friends and the girls were Jessica, Tanya, Maisy and Kendal."

I nearly drop the phone in shock, the new friends of Sophies who we have been dying to meet, are Kendal and the girls. We were happy when Sophie met them because she had seemed down and lonely, ever since she met them she's been so happy. We didn't really ask anything about them and Sophies not one of those girls who blab, you have to ask her the right question to get the answer you want. All along it has been Kendal, Jess, Tan and Maisy. Fucking hell, all along she's been right there.

     
"Jax?"

   "Yea I'm here."

      "Kendal is on her way over."

   "You sure this is my Kendal."

      "She's changed her hair but yea, it's Kenny alright."

I smile at hearing the nickname the guys gave her. I won't lie, I'm a bit gutted she has changed her hair. I used to love it all long and bright red.

       "And she's coming to your house?"

   "I can see her car coming up the drive now."

       "Why didn't you ring me sooner?"

I jump up and start to grab some clean clothes on, if I'm seeing Kendal I want her to see me at my best.

     
"Sophie didn't think it was a good idea."

She probably thinks I'm going to grovel at her feet and beg her to take me back. When I was at my worst before I met Naomi I would talk to Sophie about the girl I love and got away. She would talk to me about the girl she had never met and it helped me get myself together. I couldn't talk to the guys about what I was going through. I hear Rhys inhale, I know he can see Kendal and I wish I was there so bad.

     
"Kenny, she looks the same Jax but all grown up. She's a woman."

The thought of my sexy Kendal looking like a woman turns me on. Kendal was always sexy but she still had the baby face, she's always looked younger than what she is. I hear Rhys tell Sophie to go and let her in while he waits.

      "I'm on my way, make sure she stays Rhys."

Just before I hang up I hear Kendal sweet voice. I run into the garage and curse when I remember Max has took my motorcycle out for a spin so I jump in my Audi and go as fast as I can to Rhys, it only takes me ten minutes to come to the stretch of road in front of the wall in front of there house. As I'm speeding down I catch eye of a Beetle, god I hate those cars but as I'm looking at the car with disgust I see the driver. Even though her hair isn't the same bright red it used to be I would know that girl anywhere. I know she saw me too but I can hear her speeding her car away. I hit the breaks and spin as fast as I can, good job there is no other cars on the road. I spun around about three times, that would definitely corse an accident. When my car stops spinning I see her car turn left at the end of the road so I quickly race off. I know she's trying to loose me but I will not let he get away this time. I reach the road she disappeared down and punch the steering wheel, I've fucking lost site of her.

   I drive around for a little while and listen out to see if I can hear another car but I can't I don't find that ugly car anywhere. I turn around and drive back the way I came and pull up in front of Sophie and Rhys' house. Rhys opens the door before I knock, he says nothing, just moves to the side to let me in. We go and sit in there large living room but nobody says anything for a while. Sophie gives up after five minutes.

      "I didn't think it was her Jax, I had no clue."

Her voice is just above a whisper, I look at her and she's looking down at her hands.

     "It's fine Soph. How was you to know?"

   "I just can't believe it's her. You have told me everything about her and now I see it. She is exactly how you described her, I can see why you love her."

      "Do you know where she lives Soph?"

She bites her lip and shakes her head.

      "I've never been to her house but I have been to Jessica's and she lives around the corner."

I stand, I need to see her.

      "Lets go then."

Sophie looks shocked and looks to me and Rhys.

     "I can't do that Jax. I'm sorry. She's my friend, I can't do that to her. I will talk to her and ask her."

She gets her phone out and leaves the room. I sit back down and Rhys looks at me and gives me a sad smile.

      "I heard your car, what happened?"

   "She saw me in my car and sped off, got herself away from me."

He nodded and laughed.

      "Still stubborn."

I nod and he chuckles.

      "You're gona come in your pants when you see her on Saturday."

Saturday? Oh shit the wedding! She's a bridesmaid. I can watch her all day, talk to her and maybe sneak a dance? I can't wait that long though, I need to see her before the wedding. Sophie walks in with tears in her eyes.

      "She's not answering my calls. I've upset her Rhys."

Rhys gets up and holds her.

      "She will be fine, Kendal won't be upset with you. Try the girls."

She types away on her phone and then holds it to her ear.

      "Jess?..... Have you heard from Kendal?..... I can't get hold of her......No he hasn't.....Is she OK?.......Can I come round?.......OK then, I'll see you then, bye"

She sits down on a huff.

      "So?"

Rhys scowls at me.

      "She's over at Sam and Jess's house. There taking her home, Sam had her phone just encase you had her number but I told her you haven't. All the girls are going over at 7:00 tomorrow night to have a drink together."

   "Why that late?"

      "She has work all day and then she has Finley."

Sophie shrugs her shoulders like it's obvious. Finley? Is this her new boyfriend? Well I will see to that, Kendal's mine and nobody else is having her.

      "Is it OK if I stay here tonight?"

Sophie looks u to me and smiles, her tears are now gone.

      "Of course Jax, your room is always ready for you."

   "Thanks, I'm going up now. Could you let her know I want to see her tomorrow?"

She nods and looks away, Rhys gives me a head nod and I go to the room that Sophie calls mine. I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep tonight but I suddenly feel worn out.

Chapter 16

~Kendal~

   Jessica and Sam brought me back home and I'm now on my own, lying in my bed thanks to Jessica. I don't know why I stopped in front of their house but when I did I just sat there in shock. It took ten minutes for a worried Sam to carry me out the car. I couldn't even tell them for a while, I just sat there in silence ignoring them but then I realized I was scaring them and causing them to worry about me so I came clean with everything.

   When my phone rings it makes me jump in the bed. I see it's Sophie and I think about rejecting her call but then I've already missed three calls from her and it makes me feel like a shit friend. Sophie wasn't to know about me and Jax, I kept it from her and she understandably kept Rhys from all of us. We did it for the same reasons, to keep our loved ones safe, with that in mind I answer her call.

    
"Kendal thank god, I've been so worried. Are you mad? I totally understand, I'm so sorry. I didn't know Rhys told Jax to come until after I asked you to come. I'm so sorry Kendal."

I decide to stop Sophie ranting.

      "Sophie, it's fine. There's nothing to worry about, I'm just shocked that's all."

   "I can understand that. Look I don't want to tell you this but Jax told me to ask you if you will see him tomorrow. He wants to meet you before the wedding."

Well I can understand that but it's still allot to get my had around at the minute, I tell Sophie and she says she understands but I get the feeling she thinks I should meet him. I respect her for not telling Jax the road me and Jess live on, even though she knew Jax first she still holds our special sister bond.

     
"Ya know, he still loves you Kendal. He talks to me about you all the time. His never gotten over you, I love him like a brother so I feel a little protective of him. I know he wants you back, just don't break his heart again please. I know you have this bond with Finley's dad and then there's Harley."

I feel a little angry at what she has just said but who can blame her? If that was one of my guys I would be exactly the same. He has spoken to Sophie about me? He hasn't forgotten all about me? It that true? I feel guilty that Sophie doesn't know that Finley's dad is Jax. I think I will have to tell her tomorrow. Not over the phone.

     "Are you coming with the girls tomorrow?"

  
"Of course , I will definitely be there. Will I finally get to meet the gorgeous Finley?"

      "Yes you can finally meet him and I might as well start on your nails for Saturday."

We say our goodbyes and I lay in bed waiting for sleep to finally overtake me.

   My phone alarm wakes me up at 7:00 the next morning and I jump up despite my tiredness. Today I'm going to see my gorgeous little boy! I am so excited I feel like jumping around and screaming. I quickly get ready in my work gear, black leggings and purple vest top
