They visit
the attorney’s office so Samantha can sign the prenuptial agreement. She and
her attorney had already reviewed the document with a fine-toothed comb. She
has no questions. She just signed it.

Later that
night, before getting out of the truck on the red carpet, Jacob handed Samantha
a box. She finds a very expensive watch inside. She is so excited.

“Thank you!”

He put it on
her wrist.

The
reporters now seem more engrossed in her pregnancy than Jacob’s show. He has to
tell them that tonight is about his show and the majority of the questions need
to stay on topic.

Josh
approaches Jacob and Samantha, giving her a big.

“Congratulations,
you two!”

“Thank you”
says Jacob and Samantha.

Samantha is
glowing but she feels like it is more from nerves than anything else. She
wonders if there is a support group for pregnant celebrity spouses in the
spotlight. Jacob is very affectionate to her tonight because he knows she needs
it. He wants to help her to calm down a little. Jacob kisses her several times
through the night and keep his arm around her waist when he can. They had a
wonderful evening.

Later that
night they got ready for bed. Samantha can’t help herself, she just has to look
at what the media is saying. She looks at the comments on social media while
they are sitting in the bed watching sports highlights. Samantha is on her
laptop when her demeanor changes. Jacob grabs her computer.

 On her
page it reads: You are having a mixed nigger baby!

Jacob’s
floored. Samantha starts crying and runs to the bathroom.

“Samantha!”
says Jacob.

She feels
she is going to be sick, so she goes to sit on the floor next to the toilet.

“Are you
ok?”

“No.”

“Why do you
do this to yourself?”

“I guess I’m
just hoping for some kind words.”

Samantha
gets up off the floor after 10 minutes. Jacob extends his hand, leading her
back to bed.

“I'm going
to go grab a snack; I'll be back,” she says.

Samantha
doesn’t understand why it always has to be a race-related situation.
Why
can’t they just say I hope you have a healthy baby
, she thought. Samantha
stands at the counter eating her grapes. Jacob enters the kitchen.

“That's your
snack?”

“Yes, I
can't eat too much because if I get fat, they are going to talk about me. I
have to look perfect all the time!”

“Samantha,
you don’t! Who wants a skinny pregnant woman? That’s just weird. With your will
and determination you will lose the weight after the baby; focus on having a
healthy baby.”

He walks
over, picking her up and sitting her on the counter.

“It’s ok to
be you! That is the girl I fell in love with, not the woman they think you
should be! It’s about us being happy!”

Samantha
kisses Jacob then smiles.

“Ok,” she
says.

“Now I'm
getting you a bag of chips and bringing them to bed with us!”

Samantha
laughs.

Jacob is
falling asleep.

“Jacob, how
do you feel about going back to Las Vegas?”

“I don’t
feel the best about it after what happened the last time. But I know we have to
move past it.”

“Did you
talk to Tony about security?”

“Yes,” says Jacob.

“I want you
to make time for me tomorrow, just a smidge,” she says.

“For you, of
course!”

He grabs her
face, kissing her. “You’re so beautiful!”

Samantha
smiles. “Jacob, are you keeping the beard this weekend?”

“Yes,
because I know how you love my lumberjack beard!” he smiles.

“Yes,” she
laughs. “I do!”

“What's on
your mind, Samantha? I know that look.”

“I just want
to be sure you want to marry me.”

“Why would
you say that?”

“Maybe you
think getting married is easier. We wouldn't have to live in two different
states,” she says.

“Samantha, I
only want you.”

“Ok,” she
says, blushing. “There's just all those hungry women out there. I just hope I'm
going to be enough for you!”

“Baby, when
I'm at work, I think about you. Wherever I am, I think about you. The thought
of you brings a smile to my face. I love that we are friends and
very…great…lovers,” he says, kissing her between words.

“I need you,
Jacob, emotionally. I don’t want you to think I don’t need you.”

“Good to
know! Because I need to know that you need me in some way!”

“I can’t
live without you again, Jacob! I just can’t!” Samantha says as a single tear
falls from her eye.

Chapter
22

They arrive in
Las Vegas! Everyone is excited and ready to have fun. Their loud group stands
in the lobby of Caesar’s Palace. Jacob has six of his friends with him and
Samantha has seven of her friends.

Samantha looks
over at Jacob’s group. He has one token black friend, Lucas. Mark is very laid
back and has known Jacob since they were kids. She’s never met Vick, another
friend who plays for the New York Giants; Philip plays for the Chicago Bears.
Then there are his brothers Brian and Joshua; his Co-star Josh had other
obligations.

Jacob introduces
her to all the guys. Jacob’s friends are rich; her friends were middle-class.
Because she can afford to, she pays for their rooms and for all the activities
because she wants everyone to have a great time. She met Lisa, Jacqueline, and
Shameka back in college. Todd’s girlfriend Veronica, Jacob’s friend Jenny,
Jacob’s sister Beth, and Samantha's best friend Nicki are all a part of the
festivities. They take a large group picture and post it to social media.

Samantha
introduce her friends to Jacob. Jacob wraps his arms around Samantha’s waist as
she wraps her arms around his neck. He tells her he will see her later and
gives her a long, sweet, passionate kiss. Fans take pictures of them and post
to social media. They look so in love, the captions say. While Samantha is
getting her massage, she tags Jacob in one of the pictures so he can see how
cute they look.

The girls get
pampered at the spa. Samantha gets her massage with Beth so they can catch up
and bond.

“Did you find a
venue for the reception?”

“Yes I did! Beth,
what do you think he is going to say?”

“Oh my gosh,
girl, I don’t know,” Beth says with her Southern twang. “I’m super excited,
though!”

“You have your
dress, right?” Samantha asks.

“Yes I do!”

Before she left
Montreal, Samantha called Beth and Nicki, telling them they would be getting
married Sunday before they go back to L.A. but Jacob has no idea.

Samantha called
Jacob’s brothers and Todd telling them to bring a suit. Samantha found a
beautiful gown in L.A. before they left for Montreal. She wanted to wear it in
September but is afraid she wouldn’t be able to fit it. She was able to get it
taken out just a bit yesterday. Samantha is happy; she isn’t nervous one bit.
When she sees Jacob later that afternoon he has a clean shave.

“Oh, look at you!
You’re so handsome!”

“I thought you
like my beard.”

“I do but I have
something planned so I need you to have a clean-shaven face.”

Jacob corners her
in their hotel room close to the front door. “So what is it that you have
planned for me? Can I guess?”

“No!” she says,
smiling.

“I bet I know!”

“Can you not
guess? Let me feel like you’re surprised, please!” she says as tears fell from
her eyes.

“Babe, don’t
cry.”

“I just want
things to be perfect,” Samantha says, kissing him. Her hands are behind her
back and his hands are pressed up against the wall on either side of her head.

“Ok, I promise!”
he says.

“I love you with
all my heart.” she says.

“Me too!”

“I am sleeping in
Nicki’s room. Once you start drinking you can’t keep your hands to yourself.”

“Ok, I will allow
this once before you’re my wife,” he says with a knowing look.

Samantha is
wearing a tight black and tan dress that stops above her knees. It is perfect.
You can't tell she is pregnant. She is wearing very tall blonde-colored
stilettos.

"Damn, girl,
you look good in that dress!" Jacob says in his black voice.

Her hair is long
and flowing and she is wearing long black fake eyelashes.

“Oh, you have a
tanning appointment at 9 a.m. so try not to get too drunk, please,” she says.

“Alright,” Jacob
agrees.

Samantha barely
makes it out of the room without them making love; not that she didn’t want to.
She goes to Nicki’s suite. All the girls are there, ready to eat then party.
Nicki attaches the veil to Samantha’s hair. “Let’s get ready to party!” says
Samantha. She pops a bottle of champagne and pours all the girls a glass. Then
she pours herself a glass of apple cider.

"I want to
toast to my soon-to-be sister-in-law. May you have years of happiness!"
says Beth.

"Thank
you!" says Samantha, giving her a hug.

"I've known
you since high school and you were always the strong one; never letting your
guard down totally until now. You finally met your match!" says Nicki.

Samantha gives
Nicki a big hug.

“We're all happy
for you. Now let's go celebrate!” says the girls.

They go to dinner
at Tushee Grill; Vito’s other restaurant.

"Private
party for Samantha Posey, please," says Nicki.

The girls are so
loud everyone in the restaurant keeps looking at them. Once they are seated,
Vito comes over to the table.

“Hello Samantha,”
says Vito. He gives her a hug. “Congratulations on the baby and engagement.”

"Vito,
thanks for coming to Vegas for me!" says Samantha.

“Is Jacob
coming?”

“No, he's at his
bachelor party so Beth and I will be tasting.”

“Ok, come back to
the kitchen.”

Once in the
kitchen, Samantha and Beth taste several dishes for the reception.

“Vito, this is a
great menu as always! Thanks, see you next month!”

The ladies take
plenty of pictures. They flock to a popular male strip club for an hour then on
to the nightclub. Although Samantha can't drink, she has much fun watching her
girls have fun get drunk.

Vick hires
strippers to come to his hotel suite. There are stripper poles set up
throughout the room. Jacob has started drinking on the plane, so he's been
drinking all day. The strippers keep offering to give him head, but he says no;
he accepts all the lap dances, though. Eventually, Jacob goes to the bar to get
a glass of water.

"Hey man,
what's up?" asks Lucas.

“Nothing. No—can
I ask you a question about black women?”

“Why not? I knew
it was coming!”

“Why do they
always say ‘I don't need you? You can't do shit for me?’”

“Because black
women are raised to work hard and not take anybody's shit. They’re fucking bad-asses!
I looked your girl up and she really doesn't need you financially. She has made
a lot of money just being your girlfriend. And now she has her own business,”
says Lucas.

“Her daddy told me
he set Samantha up for life and she doesn’t have to work,” says Jacob.

“Seems like she
genuinely loves you, man!”

“Good to know!
Thanks!”

Jacob orders
another drink. The fellas come over to the bar. “Ok, it's time!”

“It's time for
what?” Jacob asks.

“For you to get a
blow job!” says Vick.

“No!” says Jacob.

“Yes!” they
shout.

They throw him
some condoms and send him to the bedroom. The brunette stripper enters the
room. Jacob sits on the bed. She gets on her knees in front of him, unzipping
his pants, and opening a condom, putting it on his dick. Jacob really didn't
want to. He keeps seeing Samantha's face telling him, ‘Don't do that shit
anymore!’ The stripper gives him a great blow job. He flushes the condom down
the toilet. On one hand, Jacob feels like he betrayed Samantha. On the other
hand, he tells himself that he is about to marry her and be with only her for
the rest of his life. When he leaves the room, his boys pat him on the back.
Lucas is the only one who doesn't.

“Man, you
shouldn't have done that shit; she's going to rip you a new one. Just imagine
that head moving in circles, hand on her hip, waving her finger in your face.”

They both laugh.

“But for real,
man, you better hope this night is a pass because she's going to know!” Lucas
says. “Don't beat yourself up over it; she's not going to call off the wedding
but you’re going to work hard for this peer pressure moment!”

“Great!”

“Seriously, it's
your night and it’s too late now so chill!” says Lucas.

The guys smoke cigars,
drink, and talk shit.

Later that night
Jacob goes to Nicki's suite. He pounds on the door with his fist.

“Samantha!” he
calls. “Samantha!” He gets louder!

“What Jacob!”

“I want to see
you but I know you won't.”

“Ok so what
then?”

“I just want to
hear your voice.”

He sits on the
floor with his back against the door and so does she.

“Jacob I need you
to go to sleep. You have to get up at 8 a.m. Jacob, I love you despite what you

did at your
bachelor party.”

“Shit,” he
mouths.

“That was the last
escapade! I love you. Goodnight!”

“Goodnight!”

In the morning,
everyone is delivered Bloody Marys to help with their hangovers. Samantha's
dress is exquisite. It is a Cristiano Lucci sheer illusion neckline with
gorgeous beading and a full A Line skirt. It’s accented with embroidery and a
beaded belt to give a natural waistline. Her hair is in a beautiful side bun
with accents of pearls in and around the bun. The white veil hangs down her
back.

Jacob is wearing
a custom made black tuxedo.

“Jacob how do you
feel?” asks Todd.

“About what?”

“Getting married
today!”

“Oh is that
what's happening?”

“Great we pulled
off the surprise!”

“No I figured it
out last night!”

"Fuck!"
says Todd.

"It's cool
man!" says Jacob.

“I knew when she
had the barber cut my beard off.”

Jacob, his two
brothers, and Todd stand at the altar in a private setting. His sister Beth,
Nicki, and Jenny stand across from them. Their remaining friends sit in the
audience. Samantha walks down the aisle to the altar holding a beautiful
bouquet of lavender and white flowers. Jacob is all smiles. Samantha takes her
place at the altar with Jacob in disbelief this day has finally come. At the
end of the ceremony the officiant tells Jacob he can kiss the bride. You would
have thought Jacob hadn't seen her in months. He grabs her by the waist and she
wraps her arms around his neck. He looks at Samantha like she is the only woman
on earth. Their tongues dance in each other's mouth. His friends know then that
he is serious and really wasn’t interested in what happened the previous night.

“Congratulations
Mr. and Mrs. Latters!” everyone yells.

They walk down
the aisle as husband and wife. They take lots of pictures before

they attend their
private brunch. Jacob can't keep his hands off his new bride.

“Mrs. Latters how
do you feel?”

“Wonderful Mr.
Latters.”

"I want to
thank you all for a fun weekend!" says Jacob. “Thank you all for coming!
My bride and I will meet you all on the plane at 1 p.m.”

After they leave,
Nicki says out loud what everyone is thinking.

“Man I’d love to
be a fly on the wall. Their sex life has got to be amazing!” Everyone agrees
and laughs.
