Wait, before we count up your absolute total point score, guess what? I have some
bonus points to give you. I was always big on extra credit as a kid. I didn’t assign point values for the tips on Budget and Dressing Slim, or in the EZ Calorie Cuts and NEAT sidebars, but if you’re employing them, that should count for a little something. Actions like joining a food co-op, comparison shopping or dressing in ways that flatter your physique don’t themselves burn fat, but they do show that you’re being proactive and choosing to focus on yourself and your overall wellness—and that’s a big deal in the scheme of things.

If you sincerely plan on incorporating at least half the suggestions in the NEAT sidebars and the EZ Calorie Cuts, along with several recommendations from both the money-saving and dressing-slim sections, then give yourself 10 bonus points. If you’re going to do half of what I just suggested, take 5. Less than that, you’re out of luck—no extra credit for you. Don’t get me wrong, I still want you to do these things as often as possible. Even a handful will make a difference, but for them to have a significant impact, you’ll need to engage in more of them. Since they aren’t tips that directly affect your slim, their true potency is in their collective power.

Okay, now let’s add all this up!

Your Total Point Score
TOTAL TIPS CHECKED

Before I explain what your total point score means, we need to figure out what
percentage of tips
you’ll be utilizing out of all that are applicable and have point values. There are 289 tips for which you can receive point values. I’ve created a chart below so you can list the number of tips you’re using from each chapter. Go back once more to your scorecard from each chapter and add up the number of “valued” tips you selected, and list that number below here. Wondering what I’m up to now?

Although this doesn’t affect your point score, what it tells me in conjunction with your total point score is what
types
of choices you’ve made in terms of the ideas you plan on utilizing. This will, again, enable me to provide more accurate feedback and amplify your results—should you require it.

Let’s take a look at what this means by figuring out what tip percentage you’ve chosen to engage; then I’ll explain what this means in regard to your big picture.

YOUR FINAL RESULTS

Drum roll please—ladies and gentlemen, the moment you’ve all been waiting for has arrived. It’s time to analyze your point score and see how you measure up. Then we’ll utilize your tip percentage
to help guide you to improving your results—if that’s necessary. It very well may not be.

WHAT YOUR POINT TOTAL SAYS
1 TO 199 POINTS

Hmmm—this is a low score. I’m not going to kid you, I’m not thrilled. If you fall into this point range, it tells me something critical—that you’re inconsistent with your level of commitment to yourself and to your health and well-being. Even if you marked off every tip in
Chapters 1
and
2
, which are the essential ingredients for weight loss, you have neglected incorporating the tips in the other chapters. This gives a huge disconnect, as the lower-ranked tips exist to help you implement the tips in the first two chapters. Or maybe it’s the opposite; maybe you’ve marked off many of the lower-ranked tips in
Chapters 3
to
7
but have not committed enough to the overall weight-loss concepts supplied in
Chapters 1
and
2
. Even worse, possibly you haven’t devoted yourself enough across the board, failing to select enough tips overall and too few quality suggestions to get this score. Regardless, the implication is the same: inconsistency and a failure to truly commit and/or truly implement.
