Wilfred growled at her again, “Oh no, you don’t!”

She stopped, afraid of what would happen next.  Elsie was breathing hard, trying to process what this man, clad only in a wife-beater and Spandex workout shorts, was planning as he moved towards her.

“What you have done, my dear Elsie, is totally unfair,” he took a step back and grabbed his cowboy hat from the rack by the door.  Elsie was glued to the floor.
Run, Elsie. Run.
But her heart was thudding and her body was responding to what she had seen.
Stay Elsie… stay
.

The side view of him was even more magnificent than the front view, and she found her body reacting to physicality of him.  She started backing away, afraid of embarrassing herself because was feeling moisture in the damnedest place and lightheaded at the same time. Maybe he was going to use the hat to cover the embarrassing moment between them, but he placed it on the counter.

“If I can’t get any sleep tonight, neither will you.”

He reached for the base of his wife-beater and slowly pulled it up over his head.  This was the first time she noticed that his hair was not braided but tied with a strip of leather.  As he raised the shirt, there was one ripped abdominal muscle after the other.

I am feeling so lightheaded.

The muscles seemed to make a stairway of bumps up to his pectoral muscles, which were covered in a light shimmer of smooth black hair that made a trail from his chest down into the waistband of his pants where that monster erection appeared to be throbbing.

Is it talking to me

Come here Elsie
….

A throb that was calling to her dusty lady parts which had not been exercised in five years.

As the T-shirt came over his head, he released the leather strip, allowing his hair to fall freely about his shoulders and down his back.

It was thick.

It was jet black.

It was beautiful.

There were waves at his scalp and wavy black tresses that rested between his shoulder blades and flowed down to the middle of his back.  Wilfred picked the hat up from the countertop and placed it on his head while turning his body to a forty-five-degree angle.  He lowered his head and she could no longer see his eyes.

What in the world is he…

She inhaled and held her breath.  “No… it… it can’t be.…”

He flashed a half smile.  A smile that she had been staring at for nine years on the cover of his books.  The smile that belonged to a character she had been in love with.  A smile that belonged to her dark and mysterious book boyfriend.  The man she surreptitiously imagined she was with when her ex Roscoe forced himself on her. Her book boyfriend was standing face-to-face with her and horribly aroused.

Wilfred was the swashbuckling captain of the Splendour, who defiled Honour upon a shipment of silk from the Orient.  Captain Franc Niçoise was standing in the kitchen.

Fate was a nasty little bitch with sharp claws.

Wilfred had placed himself on the cover of every one of his books.  It was his body that she had lusted over for years.  A body that she was lusting over now.  What had started as a bit of moisture was now dampness on her thighs.  A wave of lust soared through her, forcing her to squeeze her thighs together to halt the rush of feelings that was filling her lady parts and oozing down her legs.

Wilfred took the hat off and tossed it back towards the rack where it landed perfectly in place.  Slowly he walked towards her, his bare feet on the Mexican tile floor, leaving wet spots from the heat of him, coming so close to her she could feel the heat radiating off his body.  The erection of perfection was only mere inches from her body, but he did not touch her.  Wilfred leaned down, exhaling on her cheek with one hand on either side of the wall, boxing her in.

If he is going to force himself on me, I am just going to have to suffer through his assault.
Her breath was short, her bosom was heaving, and more moisture was running down her inner thighs.

He whispered in her ear, “Now you try getting some sleep tonight.”  The smell of her readiness for him was like ambrosia that he wanted to drop to his knees in front of her luscious body and lick every ounce off those thighs.
Those thighs that she would squeeze to control a powerful animal like me
.

The heat of his body was radiating and pulling her towards him.  Elsie wanted to touch him, to feel the muscles of his abs.  Her mouth was open and dry.  Her breasts felt swollen.  The hardened buds were only inches away from the wiry hairs on his chest. She wanted to run her fingers through his chest hair, then go lower.  Her fingers craved to hold the power of him in her hands.

Wilfred said nothing more as he walked away and headed to the pool room.  The light came on around the pool and she heard his perfect body hit the water.  She could hear him slicing through the liquid with each stroke.

He is stroking the water
. More moisture ran down her thighs.

This was her second time feeling extremely foolish.  Three months at his side both day and night and she still did not know this man.  Elsie bumped her head against the wall at the stupidity of her idealism in believing she had done him a favor by sneaking him off to a movie.

Idiot!

He was crabby because he needed a woman.

Oh God, I have stimulated him.

Dear Lord, he has stimulated me.

He had seen her new body and his body responded. She bounded the stairs to her room and locked the door.  She was frantic. All the signs were there. The workouts, the training, and the horseback riding. She shared meals with him every day and a stupid ponytail and beard kept her from seeing him as the guy on the cover of the books.

She walked over to her bookshelf and took down
Honour’s Splendor
and looked at the body.  It was him.  She looked at
Stephanie’s Dilemma
,
The Daring Duchess
,
An April Morning
, and the other four bestsellers, and he was on the cover of every last damned one, his skin tone either lightened or darkened.  The hair was either down or clamped behind his head.
Idiot!

Her body was on fire. Her lady part was contracting and retracting.  She looked down at her lap and told it, “Shut up you hussy!”  Her breasts where vibrating as if they were calling to him to come and suckle until he got his fill. Elsie was officially horny as hell.  No, not horny.  She wanted to climb on top of him and ride him until that monster in his pants caved in her uterine walls.  She would then call an ambulance to roll her out of the hospital so they could push her uterus back in place and she could come back to Green Gables and ride that man again until her uterus completely fell out.

I want to have sex with my boss.

I want to real bad.

Oh Lord, I’m a wanton whore.

Elsie threw herself across the bed in defeat
.
Face down, arms splayed and whipped.

She wasn’t going to be able to sleep tonight.  She donned her swimsuit and headed for the pool as well.  As he was emerging from the shallow end, she dove into the deep end beginning her laps.  He only smiled as he walked away and headed to his room.

Well, she’s not gay.

27
What Did You Do, Lady?

The next morning brought about a new set of challenges.  Elsie was prepared to have a heart-to-heart with her boss about the inappropriateness of last night’s meeting in the kitchen and she wanted to explain to him that she understood that working in close proximity to her… et cetera, and a man having needs, et cetera and that he… wait a hopscotching minute, he was leaving!
Where the hell is he going?

She thought she heard a plane this morning, but she believed she had been dreaming.  When she reached the back door, he was giving instructions to Gianni and climbing into the truck heading towards the landing strip.
He was leaving?  Not a word to her?  He didn’t even look back.

Gianni bounded into the house, furious.  “What did you do, Lady?”

Elsie was shocked that Gianni would speak to her in such a tone.

“Gianni, how dare you accuse me of anything?”

“He only leaves this ranch six times a year, Lady, and this,” he paused, “this not a scheduled trip.”

The kid was very emotional.  “So I ask you again, Lady, what did you do?”

Elsie could see he was a bit distraught and asked him to take a seat.  “Gianni, anything that has occurred between Will and me doesn’t really concern you.”

He popped back up from the seat, knocking over the chair.  “It does concern me and everyone at this ranch! You come along with your Kumbaya wanting everyone to just get along not realizing that your actions could possibly ruin life for everyone here!”

He slammed his fist on the table.  “It does concern me!”  He was hysterical with worry over Will, and he had every right to be.  She had broken the rules of the house and was accountable to all who resided in it.

Elsie walked over to him and opened her arms.  Gianni fell into them and she held him close. She still didn’t know his story or his relationship to Wilfred, but she had to tread carefully.  “Gianni, it’s not that serious. He’ll be back in a few days.”

The young man pulled back revealing his tear-filled eyes as he searched her face and he saw that she was being honest. “What happened, Lady?”

She released him and poured herself a cup of coffee and sat down at the table.  “I broke a rule and came down half-dressed in just my night gown.”

The change in Gianni was instantaneous and he actually looked relieved.  “Ah, so he is going to vent.”

Gianni explained to her that when men get bloated they have to go off and vent to let off some steam.  “He is headed to Willie’s. There are lots of beautiful models lying about.”  He grabbed an apple from the fridge.

“You sound like you have first-hand knowledge of this…”

Gianni explained, “Yeah, last year, for my sixteenth birthday, the old man took me to New York to celebrate.”  His face lit up when he talked about seeing the Lion King on Broadway along with all the high end shopping.

“When he finally arrived at Willie’s, there were gorgeous, very thin, extremely hungry women just lounging about.”

He laughed when he told her how they treated Wil like a rock star.  “Lady, I kid you not, he sat down and three women covered him like he was a famous rock star.”

He was still laughing.  “Out of respect for me, he made them all move away.”

Elsie was thinking of what a great role model he was….
horny bastard, influencing a child like that
.

“Willie had contacted Gabriella to be my date for the evening, to do, you know, teen stuff.”

Elsie’s eyebrows went up. “Gabriella the Supermodel?”

Gianni pulled out his phone and showed her photos of the two of them together.  He was looking moon-eyed at the pretty girl on his phone.  Either he was star struck or the kid got a chance to practice some venting on her.

They talked for a few minutes more before she ushered him off to school.

So, Wilfred had a chance to head off to New York for some R & R and play with some pretty models while she sat around here moping over someone else’s loving words.
Fate wasn’t just a nasty little bitch. She was also selfish.

Wilfred arrived in New York angry, horny, and ready to do some damage.  He kissed his twin on the cheek as she left for work and entered her loft with only two things in mind – women on top of him and women under him.  He didn’t want to know their names.  He didn’t care about their feelings.  He needed to vent.

I want to vent all day long until I pee sideways.

There were three ladies here from his last visit and he silently thanked his sister for remembering what he liked.  Willie only grunted something at him on her way out the door.  As he entered the living room, he dropped his bag, pointed at the three, and said, “Hello, my beauties.”

When he was done with those three, he ate a sandwich, drank two bottles of water, and pulled the next four that had arrived while he was erstwhile occupied.  He had enough energy to go around.

His sister arrived at 6:30 to find him standing at the kitchen sink in a wife-beater, black slacks, and a pair of slippers that he left on his last visit.  The living room looked like a scene from
True Blood
with twisted bodies lying on the floor and furniture.

Willie was livid.  “Please tell me you didn’t fornicate on my brand new Corinthian leather couch!”

He continued grazing on his salad.  “The couch, no,” he paused, “the coffee table, the kitchen table, the kitchen counter….”

Willie immediately ran to get the spray bottle of bleach.  Wilfred was laughing.  “What is wrong with you, Will?”

They chatted for a few minutes more and she looked at him with concern.  “You have someone at home– why are you here… doing this?  This has no meaning…” She pointed at all the half-naked women.

One of the models turned over, showing both him and his sister a clean-shaven woman part.  They both groaned.  “Will, you have something beautiful with a woman who gets you…  Why are you here?”

Wilfred set down the bowl.  “Willie, she works for me.  She is my employee.  She lives under my roof.  Elsie helps me run my new division.  She’s writing my autobiography.  Well, hell, I guess she is, I don’t know what she is doing with my story…”  He paused and looked at his sister.  “I value her as an employee, and I see her as a friend.  She should feel safe around me.”  He pointed to the women all sprawled out and exhausted from his first day’s efforts. “I have a big appetite.”

He dropped his head, no longer wanting the remainder of the salad.  “I need her in my office more than I need her in my bed.”

She saw the sadness in his eyes.  “Sis, I need her in my life, and she means more to me than what I did here today.  I can’t run the risk of ruining our friendship.” She touched her twin on the arm.

He continued, “So if that means that I have to hump everything that moves to keep my hands off her, then that is what I’ll do.”

She looked around her living room.  “You may be on to something there in your thinking.”  Another one of the models flipped over and groaned.  “… I think you may have broken one or two of them.”

Will looked at his twin with a sudden realization.  “Speaking of breaking off something, when was the last time somebody broke you off a little love, sis?  You look a little tight around the mouth.”  He burst out laughing, even after she punched him in the arm.

“A lady doesn’t discuss such things!”  She looked at him with sad puppy eyes.  “Honestly, I am about ready to hump a pillow, but I have to be very discreet.”

“How did you manage to have any kind of love life with David always around?” he asked her.

“He wasn’t always around.”  She smiled, removed the bowl from his hands and gave it a quick wash. “Sneaking about and substitutes are never really going to work, Will, especially if what you are eating doesn’t satisfy your hunger.”

She gave him a very honest look, like the looks they shared as children when he had done something wrong and she had to cover for him.  “I have never been in love, Will, and I have never experienced anything even remotely close to the friendship and connection you have with Elsie.”

He laughed nervously, but she wasn’t smiling.  “Not one these women will ever replace what you feel when you’re spending time with her.  Your inside jokes, sharing time over the stove, sitting on your patio closing out your day.”

“I am not sure if what I am experiencing is because of her… or if I am going through this because she is there… you know.  She fought off my loneliness and makes me laugh.  Is that what I am processing… having a woman in the house… needing to be touched… held… loved? I don’t know what I’m feeling,” he said with some melancholy.

Willie looked at him with a grin.  “You must be feeling something mighty powerful if you went through seven women in seven hours.  Maybe there is a fire that only she can extinguish.”

“I don’t think either of us are ready for that or the implications it can bring,” and he started to think of her in the stupid ratty gown.  He was on fire again.

“I’m not certain she is ready to experience a man like me.  The romantic guys in my books are one thing.  Me… I’m a different kind of animal.”

“Maybe it’s time to tame the beast,” she said as she touched his arm.  His mind was back to Elsie’s beautiful breasts, full hips, generous handfuls of ass, and the thick patch of hair covering the creator of the sensuous ambrosia he had smelled.

He excused himself and picked up Vinka, the one he started with this morning.  Sweeping the thin Ukrainian model up in his arms, he headed for his room to try to tamp the burning that had kept him up all night.

In truth, he had never had a girlfriend or a long-term relationship.  Elsie was about the closest thing he had to someone in his life on a regular basis.  He wrote books filled with tender moments and loving words, but in bed, he was nothing like those characters.

He feared, as well as knowing in his heart, that the man she wanted was the one on his book covers, if not the hero in the books.
