“So me and you, dinner this weekend?” Detective Johnson said to his back.

Day snorted, while grabbing a muffin off one of the tables for Cash.

“So is that a no, Day?”

“That’s a fuck no.” Day opened the door and left the room. He could hear Detective Johnson’s curses as he walked away.

Day made his way through the office, and when he was only a few feet away from their desk he tossed God the blueberry muffin. Cash looked at him for a few seconds, using their soundless communication.”

“You’re welcome,” Day said, dropping down in his black leather chair. He took another long gulp before releasing a long deep breath. He cracked his neck on both sides and leveled his hazel eyes on his partner. “So you ready to do the nasty with me, Cash?” he asked him with complete seriousness.

“As ready as I’m gonna be. Give it to me, baby,” Cash replied with a frustrated huff.

Day began downloading the multitude of forms one by one and printing them out for them to complete. Cash groaned at all the papers repeatedly printing out from their small desktop printer. “Uhhh, fuckin’ paperwork…shit! Hate it!” Cash all but yelled.

About the Author

A. E. Via lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia with her beautiful husband and four very patient children. She’s the baby of five older brothers and sisters. She’s lived in Virginia her entire life…and believe it or not hates the beach.

When not writing about male/male romance, you will most likely find her curled up with a blanket and a large glass of sweet tea, reading it. That is until football season starts. (She no longer has a favorite team, but still loves the sport).

Although she is new to writing, she is constantly creating new characters and stories in her head. It doesn’t matter if she’s grocery shopping, working out, eating dinner, pumping gas, or driving (uh-oh), her creative mind never turns off.

She graduated in May of 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Virginia Wesleyan College and currently owns and operates a successful paralegal-for-hire business.
