Another very popular tangle from Sue Clark, CZT,
Cheers
is an easy tangle that can stand alone or form the basis for something more complex.

Materials
Sakura Pigma Micron pen (.01 Black)
Graphite pencil
Fabriano Tiepolo printmaking paper (3

″ [8.9cm] tile)
Step 1: Create your pencil border on your Zentangle tile.
Step 2: In the center of the tile, draw the corners of a square, leaving a gap in the center of the sides of the square.
Step 3: Link the gaps using a small, semicircle shape.
Step 4: Draw the corners of a square outside of the shape you drew in step 3.
Step 5: Repeat the corners you added in step 4 with semicircles.
Step 6: Repeat steps 4 and 5 several times.
Tip
You can, after a couple of repeats, simply draw a single line instead of breaking the shape down as shown. However, my experience is that the shape is better held by breaking the lines rather than drawing one ongoing line. Do whatever works best for you.

Mooka
Maria Thomas—Official Zentangle®

Mooka
was introduced in 2010 after Maria Thomas was inspired by the art of Alphonse Mucha, the Czech artist most noted for his art nouveau paintings and decorative art. When I first saw
Mooka
, I thought it seemed overly complicated, but in fact it is very easy. It has become wildly popular since its introduction..

Tip
Remember that your second line on the curve will always be the inner line. Refer to the example for guidance.
Step 1: Draw a curved line and bring the line back down parallel with the first. Keep the curve relatively close, but do not close them off. This will be your largest curve.
Step 2: Using the end of your second line, create a new curve in the opposite direction.
Step 3: Create your third curve in the same direction as in step 1, remembering to keep the curve smaller and within the last.
