I was relieved, as it has been over a year since I’ve seen Holly in a vision. Well, until today. She is a little older now and has her two front teeth missing. I have to admit—it is adorable. In this vision she was at her house and eating a snack while watching cartoons. She got up to change the channel and, when she did, she spilled her bowl of grapes all over the floor. I wanted to step in and help her clean them up. She cleaned it all up and then sat down and began eating it again. It didn’t seem to bother her in the least that she was eating something that had fallen on the floor. That is something my mother would never have allowed me to do. I do believe my visions of Holly are becoming more and more absurd.

I decided to stop writing visions of Holly when she was a small child, after the fire. Fae from Gaia came and set her house on fire while trying to take her away from her mortal mother and father. I have been too busy to keep up with this journal since I’ve been going to Earth to protect her and her mortal family. She never saw me the night of the fire, but I appeared in her room in the middle of the night while she was sleeping and made her forget the reason they had to move into their new home. She will never have to remember the fire or Fae that tried to take her away. After listening in on her parents’ conversations and seeing the many, many visions I’ve had, I have learned that Gaia peace keepers are trying to keep this unique child a secret. They do not agree with the two realities and having to make a choice. I have spent every free moment of my time secretly following Holly to make sure she stays safe. I could not tell anyone how many Fae I have killed to protect Holly from harm. It is too many for even me to be able to remember.

My real reason for writing today is because of the vision I had. Holly is now 15 years old and is the most beautiful teenage girl I have ever seen. She was in her room dancing to music I have never heard. She was texting on her phone, oblivious to what was going on outside her window. I saw them though. It was 3 male Fae and 1 female Fae. I knew what they were there for. The Fae outside her window were there to kill her. After dealing with the Fae, I watched Holly all that night until she fell asleep. Most would say I’m crazy, but I am finding myself caring more and more for this girl who I know so well but is clueless of my existence. Maybe I am destined to be her protector? That is the only thing that makes these visions sensible, so that is what I’ll go with. Her protector.

I have learned that Holly is quick to speak her mind even at times when not appropriate. I like that about her, though. In the vision I had earlier this morning Holly and her father were fighting about a boy Holly wanted to go on a date with. She and her father were yelling back and forth about the age of the boy. Holly seemed only concerned about the fact that this boy had a car. I agree with her father; she is not old enough to be out with a boy who has already graduated high school. Holly ran to her room, slammed her door, and immediately got on her phone and started texting. It wasn’t long, and she was sneaking out of her window and, a boy way too old for her, pulled up in a red sporty car. I wanted to go to Earth right then and stop her, but I couldn’t stop my vision. I saw them drive to a gas station where the guy was buying alcohol. Finally my vision was over. I immediately went to Earth and to the place they were. Holly will never know this, but I am the one who ruined her plans that night. I am the one who made all 4 tires flat on his car which caused him to have to call for help. She had to call her dad to come get her. I am sure she would hate me if she knew, but I know her dad would thank me.

This entry in my journal is not to write about a vision I’ve had but about what I am beginning to feel. I am much older than Holly in my realm, but in her realm I am close to the same age as her, a little older. Time moves very different here. I can’t explain how this happened; it just did. I have fallen in love with Holly. After watching her grow up all of these years and seeing her, the real her, I have feelings that I can’t make go away. Believe me, I have tried! I told Brody about what I’m feeling, and he didn’t say much, only that I need to marry someone here in my realm. He is right. Girls are lined up just waiting for the day I would notice them here. I have tried to date other girls, but none even come close to my Holly. I want to go and meet her and tell her who I am, but I can’t. It would ruin her life in so many ways. I am not good in my realm, and I come from a bloodline of evil. Besides, she is going to have to make a choice which reality she will live in. I am angry at her parents, both Fae and mortal, for not telling her.

Another quick thought. Why have I only seen Holly living her mortal life? Why can I not see her life in Gaia? Maybe I am supposed to be a part of her mortal life…

I have been extremely busy keeping Fae from killing Holly, so that is the reason for a delay in my writing. I went to see her today, though. She wasn’t in any danger; I just missed her. She was at the movies with her friends, and I was standing so close to her, but she never noticed me, not the way I wanted her to notice me. She looked at me and stared at me. The moments her eyes met mine…Was perfect. Then her eyes looked away from me too soon, and she was back to engaging in conversation with her friends. A guy her age was walking up to her and she squealed in excitement and ran over to him. He put his arm around her, and they walked into the movie theater. I wanted to beat him up. Isn’t that terrible? I wanted to beat up a guy who I didn’t know, because he had his arm around Holly. My Holly. After I watched them walk in, I walked in behind them and sat down a few rows behind her. I never paid attention to the movie, and neither did they. They were kissing the whole time. I thought soon they would come up for air, but they didn’t. It got to the point where I was ready to kill him, but instead I used my magic and made his mouth close shut. Holly got so mad at him, because he wouldn’t talk to her or anything. He couldn’t, thanks to me. I couldn’t help but laugh and, when the movie was over, I reversed the spell. He tried to explain things to Holly, but she was so mad at him that she threw her bowl of popcorn at him and told him she never wanted to see him again. Poor guy, it wasn’t his fault. I sat in a tree outside her window that night and watched her fall asleep. Once she was fast asleep, I went in her room and sat on the floor by her bed just so I could hear her breath. I wanted to wake her, but I restrained myself. I am just going to have to accept loving her from afar. She will be confused enough at the age of 20. I wonder what will happen to her. How will she have to make that choice?

Today is Holly’s 16
th
birthday. I had a vision of her this morning waking up to a plate full of burnt pancakes her mother had cooked. Holly laughed at her mother and refused to eat them. She and her mother laughed about the burnt pancakes and then her mother cried because Holly was growing up. Her mother was probably really crying because she is getting closer to the age of 20. I wonder why no one has told her about her fate.

After they were done talking, Holly went to the living room, and her father gave her a small box. When she opened it she started screaming and hugged her dad. It was car keys. She immediately called her friends, and she was out the door. I do not like the idea of her being out on the road, but I have to accept that she is becoming more independent. I will protect her. She just won’t know it.
