When Demetrius stopped, Gregory took his place. Demetrius alternated between rubbing his cock over her body like Gregory had done, and smacking her ass cheeks as Gregory’s dick pounded her pussy. She was sore and raw, and she didn’t care. She never wanted them to stop. These two gorgeous, sexy men gave her everything she’d been craving.

The sex was over-the-top incredible. They were gentle when she needed them to be, and rough when she craved it. They were funny, and easy to be with, and she felt completely safe and protected with them. She’d never even come close to feeling this way before.

The men changed places again, and Paige experienced a peaceful floating sensation as Demetrius thrust inside her swollen pussy with more speed and force than any human man could have possibly kept up for long. Paige welcomed the intensity. She craved it.

When Gregory began to smack her on the ass again with the switch he’d used earlier, her pussy contracted in another blinding orgasm that left her panting and gasping for breath. Demetrius pulled out, and Gregory took his place inside her pussy again. His dick felt impossibly huge and strong. He pounded her for long, luscious moments before crying out. Paige swore she could feel him come inside her—his climax was that forceful.

Hot cum shot onto her sore ass cheeks, and she assumed it was from Demetrius coming as well. The liquid stung the wounds the switch had made, but she didn’t care. She wanted them to use her up and make her their own—body and soul. She wanted to be owned by them.

They untied her, and Gregory enveloped her in his arms, rocking her gently. Demetrius pushed the boat out into the water and tied the rope to the same tree they’d tethered it to earlier. He put on his clothes, then Gregory released her and helped her dress before doing so himself.

“I don’t want to go back.” She meant back home, but realized they would probably think she meant back to the resort. Part of her hoped they’d guess the truth.

He pulled her into his arms. “I know. But we have to. Tonight we’ll summon Botis. Maybe we’ll do it right here, where we just fucked you silly?” He tilted her chin up and smiled down into her face. “What do you think? Old Botis might like that.”

Paige glanced around. “He wasn’t watching, was he?”

Gregory’s laugh was quick and easy. “I have no idea, but if he was, he sure got an eyeful.”

Paige touched his cheek with one finger. His expression became tender and serious, and a muscle twitched under his left eye. “You’re an amazing lover, Gregory.”

“So are you, Paige.”

“Hey, what about me?” Demetrius put his arms around her from behind and rubbed the bulge in his pants into her lower back.

Paige giggled. “You’re amazing, too. Don’t worry. You both are.”

Gregory was watching her so intently that Paige struggled to take a breath. She refused to label the emotion pouring out of his eyes. He gazed at her as a lover would, but she knew that was just wishful thinking. These men weren’t in love with her. They enjoyed her body and her company, but they didn’t love her. She’d leave in five days and they’d go back to doing what they did. And she would curl up into a ball and cry until there were no tears left.

“Let’s get you back to the resort,” said Gregory, his voice gruff.

Gregory waited until Paige was asleep in Demetrius’s suite, then he told Demetrius he was going back to his suite to search for a spell book. Once he returned to his own sitting room, he headed straight for the book they’d used last time. He didn’t need to search for it. He knew exactly where it was. The real reason he’d wanted to be alone for a while was to think.

He tried to tell himself he’d been imagining what he’d seen in Paige’s eyes earlier, but he hadn’t even needed to use his powers to see what had been so obvious. She was in love with them—both of them. There was no doubt about it. She’d pulled it back and tried to cover it up with her characteristic giggle when Demetrius had grabbed her from behind, but it had been too late. Gregory had seen the truth in her eyes as she’d touched his face and told him what an amazing lover he was. He’d felt the love pouring out of her body as he’d held her after making love to her.

He’d never felt this way about any woman. Not even for a fleeting moment. He knew what the others had always said and thought about him, and he hadn’t cared one iota. They all thought him selfish and shallow. He had been. All he’d cared about was seducing the next woman. It was what he did—what they all did—until now. In the space of a few months they’d lost four to mortality, and now the last two were poised on the edge, ready to cave.

Gregory snorted as he realized that certainty bothered him far less than it should. He should be ranting and raving against this. He should be offering to drive Paige back to Aurora tonight. He should be getting drunk right about now. Instead he pictured Paige’s eyes as they made her laugh or come. He’d never seen such pretty eyes before. He knew it wouldn’t matter if he stayed immortal until the end of time. He’d never meet anyone like Paige again. If he lined up all the female guests in this place, every single day, and fucked them all silly, right down the row, it would no longer bring him satisfaction. He only wanted Paige.

“Hellfire. I’m fucked.”

Gregory wasn’t aware how long he sat on the floor of his sitting room, staring at the wall, until he blinked a few times and realized it was nearly dark outside. They’d be waiting for him in the lobby. It was time to go into the woods and summon Botis, and Gregory still didn’t know what he was going to do about Paige. He only knew one thing for certain. There was no fucking way he could watch Paige Merrilyn drive away from this resort at the end of the week.

Paige cast nervous glances toward the bank of elevators each time one of them made noise. Everyone was assembled, waiting for Gregory. Demetrius was about to go up to his suite and find out what was keeping him when he finally strolled off the elevator, carrying a bound book.

Paige’s palms began to sweat. Was it the same one she’d found? Had he discovered the pages she’d hidden under the mattress? She vowed to retrieve them later, even if she had to sneak away somehow in the middle of the night. She didn’t want Gregory or Demetrius to know what she’d done.

She realized now how ridiculous and foolish she’d been, thinking she could simply copy a spell out of an old book and poof—Lilith would appear and do what she asked of her, without consequences. This was serious shit. They were angels, for heaven’s sake, and even they were leery of this.

They’d agreed beforehand that no one would speak about what they were about to do until they were out of the building. They left by way of a back door and made their way to the dock on the shore of Pine Lake. Once all three rowboats were filled, they made their way silently across the lake.

The plan was to proceed to the opposite shore where Paige, Demetrius, and Gregory had enjoyed their erotic afternoon, and walk to a clearing that Demetrius had told Paige was close to the boathouse. He had assured Paige they couldn’t be seen from the resort in that clearing, even once the candles had been lit.

Paige, Demetrius, and Gregory passed the boathouse on the way to the clearing, as did Abigail, Emmett, and Zach. But Reeve, Niko, and Sofia rowed their boat farther up the coast and told the others they’d meet them in the clearing. Paige assumed they hadn’t wanted to force Sofia to walk too close to the boathouse.

The clearing was large, and it was obvious someone had been there before. A crude fire pit had been dug in the center, surrounded by large stones.

“We found it like this,” explained Gregory. “No clue who built it or why, but it suits our purposes now.”

The air in the clearing felt close and heavy. It might have been the pines, but Paige didn’t think so. She’d been surrounded by plenty of pines earlier while Demetrius and Gregory had fucked her silly, and she hadn’t experienced the claustrophobic feeling she now had.

She tried to concentrate on memories of that afternoon, but her limbs began to tingle and she had trouble catching her breath. “I need to sit down.” She dropped to the ground and hugged her knees. Somewhere in the forest an owl hooted, and Paige jumped, even though she knew what the sound was.

“It’s okay.” Demetrius sat beside her and stroked her back. “Nothing here can hurt you.”

“The air feels different. You know, I’ve read tarot cards and thrown runes. I have crystals, I Ching cards, and I keep a dream journal. All that stuff is great—don’t misunderstand me—and it’s a huge part of my life. I make my living marketing the tools for those crafts. But right now, sitting here and thinking about what we’re going to do, everything I’ve done and marketed feels like child’s play. Like I’ve been pretending to be this expert on the occult all my life, but in reality I’ve had no fucking clue what I was doing.”

“That’s not true, Paige. All those practices you mentioned are legit and worthy in their own right. Demonology isn’t mainstream, and it has nothing to do with reading cards or runes. There are a lot of misconceptions floating around out there, just as there are about us—about Nephilim. Don’t get down on yourself for not understanding this one aspect, okay? We don’t even get it right every time. If we did, we would have recognized Lilith for what she was right away.”

She couldn’t see his eyes or his facial expression as it was too dark, but she felt the comfort and reassurance coming off him in waves.

“In fact, it would be better this evening if you could try to stay focused on positive thoughts. Demons prey on fear and self-deprecation. You don’t want to leave yourself vulnerable tonight, Paige. Lilith is like a child compared to Botis. He’s powerful and he’s intense. Don't give him any reason to target you.”

Paige swallowed against the sudden lump in her throat, wishing she’d stayed at the resort. She’d rather have taken her chances with cold air, black roses, and laughter than be in this clearing right now.

Sofia, Reeve, and Niko walked into the circle, and Demetrius asked if everyone was ready. Paige stood because she wasn’t about to be the only holdout, but if Abigail or Sofia showed any signs they’d rather sit this out, Paige was prepared to do so with them. Unfortunately, they both looked excited and more than ready to proceed.

Emmett began sprinkling something that smelled like sage around the stones, and chanted in what Paige assumed was Latin. It sounded like Latin, although it wasn’t like she’d know. Zach lit black candles and gave each of them one to hold. Paige didn’t want to, but she was determined to go along with the others, no matter what.

She glanced sideways at Sofia and Abigail. Neither woman looked as apprehensive as she felt. Did they know something she didn’t? Their men were no longer Nephilim. Shouldn’t that make them more afraid?

The light from the candles cast an eerie glow on their faces as they stood in a circle, waiting. All the men were now chanting, including Demetrius and Gregory, standing on either side of her. She stole a quick glance at Abigail and Sofia. They weren’t chanting, and Paige found that reassuring. She didn’t want to be the only one without a clue what to do.

Paige felt wind before she actually heard anything. It was similar to the icy blast of air she’d experienced at the resort, but more concentrated and powerful. It was directed toward the center of the circle, and instead of swirling around her legs as Lilith’s wind had done, this blast of air seemed to come from above them.

Chapter Eighteen

Paige tried to fight rising panic as a booming sound resembling a giant bass drum filled the air. It ricocheted off the surrounding trees and caused a sudden fullness in her head, as if her sinuses had all clogged up at once. She opened her mouth to take a breath and immediately closed it as a foul stench filled the air. One of the women muttered a curse word, but Paige wasn’t sure who had spoken or exactly what she’d said.

“Please keep quiet,” said Zach, his voice soft but with an edge.

The stench dissipated quickly, and in the center of the circle Paige sensed a presence. She couldn’t quite make out his form though. She could see the people on the other side of the circle, but they were hazy, like there was smoke in front of them.

“Botis,” said Emmett in a clear, loud voice, “we ask that you take human form to show yourself. We have mortals among us tonight.”

“I see that.” The demon’s voice was deep but as human sounding as any other man Paige had ever heard. She squinted into the center of their circle and watched him materialize. He was tall, and seemed to be clothed in a leather jacket and pants. She half expected to see Harley Davidson emblems on his sleeves or find him holding a motorcycle helmet. She couldn’t see his feet but assumed he was wearing boots. His face wasn’t discernible in the candlelight.

“Better, Emmett?”

“It’ll do.”

“Why have you summoned me after all these years?”

“You owe us a favor.”

“So I do. What do you want from me?”

“We want you to force Lilith to reverse the curse placed on us. Four of us here before you are now mortal and the other two may soon be as well. We want to be able to father children.”

The complete lack of sound from the demon and surrounding forest was suddenly noticeable. Paige realized the night birds and insects had gone completely quiet. She could barely detect the sound of breathing from those standing around her.

“Why now, after all this time?” asked Botis.

“We are nearing the end. We have no one of our flesh to pass the resort on to. Strangers will one day own it.”

“So? Why should I care about that?”

“I don’t ask you to care about it.” Emmett’s voice had taken on an edge, and Paige marveled at the confidence in it. If she had to speak right now, her voice would be breathy and trembling. “I only ask you to force Lilith to reverse the curse. She’s been avenged four times, and Blade and Cristian will soon be dead as well. We’ve more than paid any debt owed to her.”

“You owed her no debt. You merely allowed yourselves to be used by her. Why should I help you with this? You brought it down upon your own heads.”
