Nicola
moved closer and whispered into her ear. “I know you’re scared, but if you
really want him as much as I know you do, get back in there and talk to him.
You have nothing to lose!”

Simone
forced her eyes open. “Yeah, except the skin on my ass.”

Nicola
swatted her arm with her hand. “You know the BDSM code.
Safe.
Sane.
Consensual.”
She
punctuated each word with another swat. “Tell him what you can and can’t do and
he’ll listen. Just …”

Simone
waited, her flighty friend serious for once.

“Just
… don’t let this opportunity pass by. You won’t get another.”

Simone
took a deep breath and tried to calm
herself
down.
Could she do this? Did she want to try? Yeah, she did.

She
had been working full time for six months and hadn’t once met a man she wanted
the way she wanted Patrick. Maybe she could do it, how hard would it be to
please him? An involuntary shudder went through her body at the thought.

If
Nic was right, and he would stick within her boundaries, then maybe she could
try some of the kinkier things. Who knows? She may even like it.

Gathering
her confidence, Simone pushed off from the wall and straightened her shoulders.
She was getting ahead of
herself,
Patrick might be gay
for all she knew. There was only one way to find out.

“Okay,
let’s go.”

She
heard Nicola’s delighted squeal but tried to ignore her. This was not the time
to get distracted by her excitable friend.

They
moved back into the room and she resumed her position against the wall. She had
been caught staring, but she didn’t care now. Inevitability fell into place.
She had wanted this man for years. If this was what he needed, she would try
anything.

Patrick
looked like he had finished redressing his
Sub,
and
the man was now drinking water and happily chatting. His face was alight with
satisfaction.

Patrick
spoke to the group he was standing with and turned toward them.

“He’s
coming over,” Nicola hissed at her and Simone suppressed the need to roll her
eyes.

Patrick
walked towards them, his long-limbered gait hypnotic. She had always known he
was powerful, beautiful, but this was more than she had ever dreamed.

“Hello,
sir.” Nicola’s voice sounded next to her.

“Hi Nicola, good to see you.”
Patrick nodded
at her friend, and then turned blue eyes on her. “Simone ... I thought you had
left.”

Simone
smiled and shook her head. She waved her hand toward the door. “I just stepped
outside for a minute.”

She
was feeling drunk on the adrenaline pumping through her, and embraced it.

“What
are you doing here?” Patrick asked, his eyes dropping to Simone’s lips as she
wet them with her tongue. Her mouth was so dry.

Nicola
stepped up.

“Here’s
the thing, sir, and please excuse me for being so abrupt. But Simone has been
in love with you for years and I know you like her too. So I thought I’d bring
her here and see if the fact that she is no longer your student changes
things.”

Simone’s
head snapped around and she shot her friend the deadliest look she had. It was
obviously ineffective because Nic winked and walked out of the room. A heated
flush started at her chest and spread up over her face. Her belly dropped in a
sickening feeling of dread as she buried her face in her hands and closed her
eyes. If the ground would just open up and swallow her, she would be very
grateful.
Kill me now.

Patrick
cleared his throat but Simone didn’t remove her hands, her cheeks were
flaming
. How could Nic do that to her?

Warm,
strong hands wrapped around her wrists and pulled her hands away from her face.

Simone
couldn’t look at him now, so she continued to stare at the ground. She was
seriously going to die.

Patrick
grabbed her chin and pulled her face up, his warm hand gentle but persistent.

Simone
let him do it, his eyes searching hers when they finally surfaced.

“Is
that true?”

She
held her breath for a long moment then nodded. Their hundreds of conversations
floating through her head as his blue eyes bore down on her.
Moments
of tenderness, moments of friendship.
They were always laughing,
smiling. She had never been as happy in her life, than in the moments she had
been with him.

Patrick
stepped forward and lowered his head, his lips pressing against hers in a sweet
kiss.

A
moan of pure need escaped her at the first touch of his skin to hers, and she
threaded her fingers through the long black hair she had admired for so long.

Patrick’s
lips were warm and soft, but as she moaned again, his lips opened and his
tongue plunged deep into her mouth. It was hot and possessive. Simone began to
shiver and her knees gave way beneath her. Patrick pressed his pelvis against
her and gripped her to keep her from sliding to the floor. Simone felt the
hardness of his cock, thick and long within his leather pants.

She
knew what that meant, and the fact that he wanted her so much, thrilled her.
She wasn’t scared of him; she was trembling with need and adrenaline. Her hands
shook as she hesitantly ran them down his chest so that she could touch him
properly.

He
shivered beneath her touch and she needed more. Her fingertips found his small
nipples and he bit down onto her lip. A small amount of pain made her gasp and
pull away. Why did he do that?

Patrick
grabbed her hands and pinned her against the wall, holding her hostage beneath
him.

She
gasped at his strength and speed, a part of her feminine side loving how strong
and controlling he was. Her belly tightened further in arousal as she
struggled
a little to see if she could escape. She couldn’t.
Patrick rested his forehead against hers and pressed her harder against the
wall.

His
chest was heaving and Simone smiled, female satisfaction spreading through her
that she could excite this man as he had excited her.

“Simone,
you don’t know what I need ... Perhaps we could go and talk?”

Simone
shook her head violently. “No, we talked every day for almost two years. Please,
Patrick.” She couldn’t say the words, but she hoped her eyes screamed,
take me home!

Patrick’s
eyebrows drew together and he paused for several seconds.

“Are
you sure you want this? How many lovers have you had?”

Panic
fluttered in her belly. Some men would like how untouched she was, but would
Patrick? What if he didn’t? She gripped Patrick’s waist and pulled him closer
so that he couldn’t pull away when she told him the truth.

“None.”

He
jerked back and she dug her nails into his ass to keep him close. She liked the
solid weight of him on her. It made her feel safe and protected.

His
blue eyes were wide and frantic as he searched her face, as though looking for
the truth.

She
returned his gaze, shivering once again as she stretched up to whisper into his
ear. “
Please
, Patrick.”

His
hands tightened on hers once again, and then he dropped his head to scatter
kisses over her forehead and the tip of her nose. A wave of pleasure swept over
her whole body and she tilted her head up as her eyes slid shut. Swept away,
beyond caring where they were and what they were doing, she was surprised when
someone interrupted them and tapped Patrick on the shoulder.
Another
Dom.

“Patrick,
are you wanting another room?”

Simone’s
heart stuttered to a stop and the spell was broken. She pushed away from
Patrick, and stood straighter against the hard wall. She couldn’t do a scene
with him! But she shouldn’t have even worried. He was already shaking his head
and stepping away from her. The loss of his warmth and strength was horrible
and she fell against his side in an attempt to maintain the connection.

His
warm, heavy arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her close. Safer now, her
belly settled once again.

“No,
I’ll be going home now.”

The
Dom walked off, thankfully. Simone had found him quite intimidating.
So many intricate tattoos and a shaved head.
One of those
people you don’t want to meet in a dark alley at night. She hated to think
meanly, but with a shiver, she acknowledged it was the truth. Patrick gripped
her harder and looked down at her.

“I
really shouldn’t ...You want to come home with me?”

The
question was almost expected yet Simone hesitated a moment. He knew she wasn’t
experienced, but he still wanted her. She certainly wanted him, but how was
this really possible?

She
nodded slowly, biting her lip.

Patrick
frowned, “What’s wrong, baby?”

She
took a deep breath, the hairs on the back of her neck prickling. “Will you want
to do that to me?”

She
waved her hand in the direction of the cross and Patrick chuckled.

“Do
you want me to?”

Simone
shook her head quickly as her heart rate doubled. “I ... don’t know. I want to
please you, but that might be a bit much ...”

Patrick
groaned and leaned forward to bite her earlobe. “Wanting to please me is the
perfect response, my little pet. We can work everything else out.”

She
shuddered and turned her head for another belly melting kiss. She didn’t know
what she had just agreed to, but she didn’t care as his lips teased and played
with hers.

She
was light headed and weak, yet strangely euphoric. If she had the chance to be
with Patrick, she would try almost anything.

He
put a hand around her waist and hustled her out of the club. People spoke to
him or deferred to him as they went and Simone got lots of interested looks,
but she just turned her head into Patrick’s shoulder and avoided their gazes.

It
was cold outside and Patrick pulled her into his warmth, the only place she
wanted to be.

“Oh,
I should tell Nic I’m leaving with you.”

Patrick
opened the door of a black Mercedes and inclined his head.

“Get
inside and you should call her. We need to get home.
Now.”

Simone
giggled and slid onto the leather, loving his bossy tone and need for haste.
Patrick shut the door and walked around the car. Alone for a few seconds, she
gave into her excitement and squealed. She was going home with Professor
Patrick
Smythe
! The smartest, funniest, and sexiest
man she had ever met.

Patrick
climbed into his side and started the car. Rock music blaring, he leaned
forward to flick the volume down and turn the heater on.

She
sighed in bliss and put her hands out to the
luke
warm air coming from the vents.

“Did
you call Nicola? Most people make a safe call before they leave a club.”

Simone
grabbed her phone out of her bag and found Nicola’s number. Her head was
seriously up in the clouds.
“A safe call?”

He
nodded and started the car. “Yeah, just to let them know where you are going
and with who.”

Simone
tried not to think about all the other people Patrick had taken home, so
instead she punched in a quick message to Nicola and lay the phone aside.
“Done.”

Patrick’s
hand slid onto her knee making her skin tingle even through her black pants.
“How have you been since I saw you last?”

Simone
smiled and gave him her standard response.
“Oh good.
I
have a new job and I moved out of home with some friends.”

Patrick
stroked her leg and moved his hand to the inside of her thigh. Simone inhaled
sharply, breath whistling through her throat as excitement curled in her belly.

“Tell
me the truth.”

Just
like that Patrick stripped away the fluff, her pretend happiness. Her shoulder
sank and her head fell back against the head rest. The truth came pouring out
of her.

“Honestly,
I’ve missed uni a lot.
My friends, classes, you.”
She
spoke too quickly as her nerves got the better of her. “I don’t like the dinky
little apartment I share with two slutty girls and my pay grade sucks.”

Patrick
moved his hand up and stroked the fabric over her swollen clit in the most
brazen move Simone had ever seen, and felt.

“Good
girl.”

Her
spine slammed as far back into the chair as it would physically allow. Pleasure
rippled along her belly and she gasped at the suddenness with which he touched
her.

Patrick
moved his hand back to her knee and Simone began to pant, her pelvis feeling
like it was being twisted from the inside. The intensity was shocking.
