He looked intently into my eyes. “I was going to talk to you about that,” he said. “If I’m ever going too far, you need to tell me, okay? You have the right to say no, April, remember that.” I nodded, smiling, and he leaned down and kissed me again. I sighed happily, letting him take me in his arms and enjoying the quiet contentment of holding each other.

“Oh, man,” I said suddenly, looking up at him again. In the frenzied pace of what had just happened, I’d forgotten that he was still technically my professor. “This is going to be an interesting semester, isn’t it?” I asked him.

He grinned devilishly. “You don’t know the half of it…”
