I can't believe I just typed 2016 into the copyright page. I've been publishing for less than two years and it feels like I should have been doing it all my life. I love creating characters that you like to read. I hope I continue to do that during 2016 and beyond.
Thank you for reading Beth and Dylan's story. It was a difficult one in many ways. I've known a number of alcoholics and I understand that recovery isn't as easy as Beth makes it look. I understand the pain that addicts and friends and family of addicts endure as a result of addiction. Luckily for me I get to write things the way I want to write them. I know that Beth and her family struggled with her addiction more than we ever saw in this book or in What the Lightning Sees. But some of you may know that I like to write love stories and that's what I wanted for Beth-I wanted her next chapter to be about love not about addiction. I hope that makes sense to you.
To all my champions and cheerleaders-thank you. I hope I can pay it forward.
