Calvin sipped his water, wondering if Sophie would turn up. He really hoped so, if anything, just for him to admire her from a distance and drool like a typical eighteen year old. She was so beautiful, nice brown eyes, long blonde hair, stunning slim figure, size eight, he reckoned, tall and had a nice pair of boobies, he had noticed at an event at the village pub. She wore a tiny cream dress with a floral pattern and dolly shoes, the dress shaped to her hips and then floated out. She looked too perfect and the dress moulded wonderfully to her fine looking chest. He sighed, really wanting her at the party.

Her parents were pretty stern, her father a barrister for York and her mother a secretary with him or within the same establishment, from what his parents told him when he had been inquisitive over Sophie,
well always good to have some background information when chatting the girl up
. He really liked her.

“You should be inside, not out here,” a female voice said.

He lifted his head having his thoughts broken.

A slim girl with long hair, short skirt, tank top, wearing converse, and showing her pierced belly-button stood before him.

“Hi, having a good time?” he thought to ask.

“Yeah, great house.”

“Yeah, it’s nice. And you are?” He needed to find out.

“Marion,” she said, holding her hand out as though she expected him to kiss it. He took the hand and decided to go with the flow and do what she requested. He pouted his lips while raising her hand to his mouth and kissed it, while he made eye-contact with her, hitching his brows.

“Mmmmm, I like that,” she muttered.

“I’m sure you do.”

“And you live here?” she asked.

Calvin paused for thought. He had a really bad feeling he knew where the conversation was going. He had seen these conversations before, too many times. She saw the flash house, lots of acres of land, the grand architectural work, and money,
yep money, here we go again!

“No, it belongs to my friend. I borrowed it from him, well the truth is, my parents wouldn’t allow me to have a party,” he said smiling at her.

She giggled. Then typically he watched her turn and walk away from him.

“Great, nice to think you were more interested in the house than me,” he muttered while watching her re-entering the hall.

He sighed and felt the pit of his stomach aching. The party was going well, music blasting out and drinks, flowing. He checked his watch to see the time still being early nine-thirty p.m. so there was still the slight chance Sophie might turn up.

He headed into the house and joined his friends, having a few more drinks, and between drank water. He felt like a bore for not drinking, but he needed to try and keep a clear head, at least for the next few hours. Then hell, after that he would relax and drink to a state of having the best hangover in the morning.

* * * *

Unsure, if she should to be heading into the party, but Sophie knew she desperately needed to let her hair down and enjoy what life offered. All she’d been doing was studying for her exams, yes, they were important to her, well more for her family who held high expectations for her, and were deciding her career for her. Sixteen and young and having many years ahead of her, she’d become so fed-up with the other girls at school talking about going to parties and meeting boys, while she spent endless amounts of hours studying.
Gosh, how terribly boring. None of my friends study for the length of time I do. Get a life, Mum!

She had waited for the coast to clear, arranged a taxi from down the lane to the hall, the grand hall, where her parents’ friends lived, and then when the coast had been clear she crept out the house. The Edwards’ have a son, but she hadn’t seen much of him. It was his party that she’d been invited to. She had overheard her parents talking about the Edwards and how they couldn’t believe they were allowing him to have a party in their grand hall. The hall itself was worth millions and the grounds, breath-taking. Sophie had visited the place a few times, with the son not being there, or if he had he’d been doing his own childish thing. She had noticed him a few months ago at a pub event, but her mum didn’t leave her side, keeping her close, getting on her nerves. She had seen the Edwards son, and rather fetching he was.

However, she had got his invitation to his eighteenth and planned on attending, aware there would be plenty of the opposite sex.

She stood at the hexagonal stone lodgers with round arched gateway, in close proximity of the river. Sophie inhaled a deep breath and decided to go and have fun. She needed to have a good night without being bossed about by her mother.

She walked down the stone driveway to the house, hearing the music booming out a good vibe. She was about to have a good time, or at least was determined too. She walked to the hall seeing the sun creating the most dazzling sunset. She stopped to admire it going down slowly in the glorious orange and reds behind the hall. She smiled.

Sophie carried on around to the back of the hall and entered into the courtyard where there were guests drinking and a young couple in very close proximity to one another guessing they were…having sex. Sophie turned her head not wishing them to see her staring.

The loud music bellowed out of the hall. She paused for thought, debating on if she should head back home, but in all honesty, she wanted to stay, have a few drinks, and a dance. The music was awesome and she longed to join in. Her only major concern was if her mum discovered she was gone from her room, but in saying that, her mum hardly checked on her late in the evening, knowing Sophie would be tucked up in studies or asleep. Before she left she’d stuffed pillows under her duvet to make it look like she was sleeping. She’d learned that from her friends at school.

Sophie walked to the back door and entered the hall, seeing glasses and empty bottles of spirits and beers, plastic bottles of Coke and lemonade all over the place with leftover food. The room was muggy and smelled fusty, she guessed from the hot young sweaty bodies.

She made her way through the house and entered the lobby to see the stairwell blocked off. Sophie scoffed, betting she knew why upstairs was cut off, and she didn’t blame the family. She was stunned they even allowed such an event in such a stunning property. She glanced up, looking at the high pitched ceilings with cornicing and pillars dominating the staircase making it spectacular.

Slowly making her way through into the main sitting room, she saw bodies scattered all over the sofas. Sophie carried on through seeing a few rooms locked it had been a while since she had been in the hall. She walked down the corridor and down the steps into the basement where she heard the music booming, getting louder with each step she took. Sophie glanced inside the room and saw guests playing snooker. She walked farther and saw people leaning up against the wall drinking and laughing. Slowly, she made her way through the tiny gap, smiling at them, with no notion of them moving.

She arrived finally to the room where the music bellowed from. She stepped inside to see the room packed with young people drinking and dancing.

Sophie inhaled a deep breath, decided to go locate a drink, and headed back up a stairwell into a dining room where the bar was set out. She walked over and looked at what was available from spirits, wine to canned beer.

She stood staring at the drinks, when a few guests came and helped themselves giggling and cracking jokes. Sophie felt too young to be here and debated to leave the party. She knew no one and that didn’t help. Maybe she should have suggested having one of her friends stay over and then they could have snuck out together, but she hadn’t been that clever, and the chances were her mum wouldn’t have allowed it.

Sophie decided to leave, making her way back through to the kitchen, and walked out into the courtyard. Many guests were around the area, singing, dancing, and making a nuisance of themselves. Regardless, Sophie decided she’d take the walk back to the village through the shortcuts that she knew and head home.

She made her way across the courtyard.

“Sophie,” a male voice sounded.

She paused and stood glancing around trying to find where the voice had come from. Then she saw the young man waving at her to get her attention and hurried his way toward her. She looked at him, baffled.

“It’s me, Calvin, the son of the Edwards’,” he scoffed.

“Oh yeah.” She giggled. “Sorry, didn’t recognise you with it being quite dark out here.”

“It’s okay,” he said, smiling at her and scrunching up his nose.

They went quiet for a few seconds giving her a chance to admire him. well what she could in the poor lighting, with only lanterns showing the way, shadows were made long and thin. He wore jeans and a T-shirt with a large eighteen badge pinned to it.

“Are you leaving?” he asked, looking over her shoulder at the hall.

“I was going too. I like your badge,” she laughed when he gazed down to stare at it.

“Yeah been told if I take it off they will throw me in the river.”

“Ewwww, that wouldn’t be pleasant,” she said trying to admire his fine features, but the light failed her.

“No, always a few jokers at parties. Are you still leaving?” he asked softly.

“I don’t know anyone,” she said anxious.

“You know me, well kind off,” he chuckled.

“I guess so, thanks for inviting me,” she thought to mention.

“No problem, glad you managed to make it. Would you like to come in and I’ll get you a drink?” He announced. Sophie would admit she was curious to find out more about the Edwards boy.

He took hold of her hand lacing their fingers together leading her back into the hall and into the grand kitchen. He poured her a glass of white wine.

“I don’t drink.” She scratched her head uncomfortable, she stared directly at him now having better light, wow he really was something to blow her away, already with his charm, wit and sexiness she had been bold over. His short dark swept back hair, short sides, dark chocolate eyes, clean shaven, long face, filled cheekbones, medium build, tall and sent her knees weak

Calvin gazed at her with his beaming eyes, making her heart skip beats.

“Oh, can you not drink one?”

“I could…but I mustn’t go home drunk, my mum will be on my back and another added lecture,” she said, cocking her head to one side grinning.

“Oh well, it could be worse,” he said, gazing at her.

“It could?”

“Yeah, she might spank you.” He winked.

Sophie almost choked, shocked by his outburst. “Sorry,” he added and passed her the wine.

If anyone is to spank me, I’d like it to be you.
She giggled.

“It’s okay.” She turned around and took a sip of the drink, aware her cheeks must be rosy.

He was just as good looking as she had predicted. Her heart skipped and danced in her chest and her stomach, somersaulted, just looking at Calvin set her entire body into orbit. He really was the cutest guy she had ever seen, not that there had been many to judge him by spending most of her time stuck in an all-girls school.

“Want to dance?” he asked, hitching his brows.

“I’d love to,” she added, unsure if her heart could take the excitement.

He took a firm hold of her hand and led her through the hall, gripping her hand tight. The place was crowded and the music boomed out. She was pleased she’d found someone she
kind-of
knew. He led the way into the media room, where he pulled her into the centre of the room and they started dancing. At first she felt uneasy, but seeing him waving his arms in the air like everyone else, eased her greatly, so, she joined in.

She’d never giggled so much in her entire life. Sophie gyrated her hips as Calvin crept closer in and took hold of her waist. She could feel his inner thigh pressing against hers, but she went with his flow and moved to the rhythm of the music. She had a great time, almost leaving her wondering what her parents had deprived her off.

The air was tight and she suddenly struggled to breathe. Her body became hot and sweaty and she urgently needed a drink and fresh air to cool her down. She told Calvin she was heading out, but he struggled to hear her bringing his ear to her mouth, allowing, tingles to run down her figure, adding a shudder of excitement and even over the sweaty atmosphere she could smell his cologne.

“I’m leaving. I need air,” she shouted above the loud music.

He shook his head and took hold of her hand lacing them together giving her a sense of protection. He led the way through the crowds. She had no idea how many people had attended his party, but hell he knew plenty of people.

They walked back down the corridor and finally reached the back door for her to step out into the courtyard. She inhaled the cool dark air, noticing the humidity had dropped, and stepped out of the way of the doorway. She saw people slumped in the area. Some appeared to be resting and others where continuing to dance to the loud music.

She turned around to see Calvin gazing at her.

“Good party,” she said to break the ice and have him stop looking at her with those infectious eyes of his.

“Not bad. Would you like to go for a walk?” he suggested.
