As strange as that event was, it was also
extremely exciting to him. It made his blood boil and his skin
sizzle to know that the only woman he’s ever felt so deeply for had
reacted so passionately just by being near him. Her reaction was so
potent that it sent her into a spontaneous climax.

He had to admit, he was ignorant when it
came to the female anatomy, unless it was to know how to get them
quickly lubed for mindless fucking. Otherwise, he kind of knew most
girls faked being sexually excited. He also knew many faked orgasms
just to please him. But not Dionne.

Dionne finally got her heavy lids to open.
Her body was on fire again just knowing Aidan was touching her with
gentle caresses and stroking. In spite of her belief it was wrong;
having sexual feelings for her far younger brother, she also felt
it was . . . right.

His unwavering, smoldering blue eyes quietly
yet boldly stared down at her, filling her with confidence and
sexual need that his maturity, his strength, and his sexual
magnetism would help her gain the same.

All rational thought faded, and she was hard
put to confess to herself, with any degree of conviction, that this
was wrong. Then again, his cock-sure look was a little aggravating,
too.

Being the older sister, it was hard to see
her younger brother look at her with so much confidence and with a
conceit that she much too easily capitulated for his charms, but at
that moment, she welcomed that look. She needed it.

He read her doubts, her desire, her
irritation as they flashed in her big eyes. He saw she was getting
a little upset. The twitch at the corners of her Betty Boop lips
gave that away.

Now, with her beginning to get upset, and
what could translate in these moments ending without any progress,
he knew it was time to put his best foot forward.

Strike while the iron was
hot

It was now or never . . .

Chapter Eight:
Under the California Sun

Aidan leaned his head down while twisting
his neck a little as his lips parted. They trembled before they
gently touched her jaw close to her ear, and his heart skipped when
he felt her shiver, hearing her soft moan of surrender. Slowly but
surely he chased her rising temper away, and as she leaned into him
in gentle surrender, he felt emboldened to take it a step
further.

While carefully keeping his painfully
throbbing cock from touching any part of her body under the
glistening surface of the pool, Aidan realized the purplish
mushroom head of his thick, engorged staff was on the verge of
exploding!

There was an overwhelming urge to press his
hips forward and crush his hard cock against his sister’s soft,
warm underbelly, but he restrained himself. He remembered her
reaction down in the basement that day and didn’t want a
repetition. Not now. Not ever.

He wasn’t about to jeopardize this chance
and these moments where she wasn’t bolting or shoving him away. Not
now she was completely enchanted by him; intoxicated by the thick
sexual tension that rose between them.

Dionne moaned softly as she laid her head
back, exposing the delicate lines of her throat for his lips,
inviting him to taste the sensitive skin that moved under his
searching mouth. She trembled and gasped softly as her brother’s
lips parted and nibbled along her jaw line to her chin.

Although he desperately wanted to taste her
lips again, he was going to take it slow this time. He was still
too unsure what her reaction would be, and he didn’t want to spoil
this golden chance to show her he was the man for her.

He watched through lowered lashes as her
eyes slowly fell to a close, overwhelmed, yet in a tender, gentle
way, enthralled by the feel of his warm lips teasing, stroking, and
caressing her burning, sensitive skin, while making his way from
her jaw to her chin to her . . . lips.

Dionne’s color deepened as her heart
quickened; thudding faster, harder, and uncontrollably, making her
lips quiver in delicate trembling. Her mind was reeling, her body
was on fire, and her lips, sensing how close his were, slowly
parted in instinctive anticipation.

At long last, and what felt like a lifetime,
she felt his warm lips find and capture hers before their kiss grew
more intense, more passionate, more feverish, and hungry.

Then, for no reason whatsoever, he felt her
suddenly stiffen.

At first he pretended he didn’t notice, but
he damned well knew what caused Dionne’s change of demeanor.
Inwardly, he was viciously cursing, because with sudden clarity of
mind, he realized his body had grown a mind of its own, and he’d
pressed his hips press against her body. She’d felt it. She felt
his painfully aroused cock. How could she miss it?

He was so hard even the baggy fabric of his
Bermudas couldn’t hide his erection anymore. He also realized, much
to his frustration, he’d groaned against her lips. Although he’d
heard it, it was out before he could stop it, and she heard it.

Please, please, PLEASE
don’t shove me away now
, he
cried inside,
hoping against hope she’d hear his desperation.

As he rebuked himself for his lack of
control, he began to frantically think up ways to salvage the
situation. He quickly leaned his head down to kiss the side of her
neck, but as expected, Dionne pulled back and twisted her head
before she raised her eyes to look up into his almost black,
smoldering eyes filled with a look of desire and plea.

Dionne?” he whispered, his voice
raspy with his arousal and frustration.

Inwardly, he groaned and then cursed when
what he feared the most at this crucial moment, happened, as she
quietly pulled out of his embrace. He felt so crushed and such
devastation that he didn’t stop her when she quietly slipped along
the wall of the pool, silently staring at him.

His gaze followed, but he didn’t know what
to say.

Then he felt his heart drop in his chest
when she half-turned and pushed herself through the water as she
swam for the ladder. He felt helpless to stop her. He felt like
such a loser, messing up a golden opportunity to finally show his
sister how he wanted them to grow together.

All he could do was watch the love of his
life swim away while he held his spot, barely able to breathe. He
placed a hand on the brick edge of the pool to steady his numb body
in the water, and with head bent and a jaw set in stone, he cursed
himself a thousand times over.

Coming?”

Aidan snapped up his head just in time to
see Dionne exiting the pool, stepping off the ladder. His heart
sank—unlike that goddamned cock of his, because she didn’t look the
least bit accommodating. Well, accommodating in ways he needed her
now to be, that is.

No,” he croaked. “I’m just gonna stay
in the water if it’s all the same—”

“—
I was hoping you’d help me rub some
moisturizer on my body—” Dionne paused and arched a brow when she
heard a loud splash. And then she laughed with real mirth when she
reached the shade under the giant parasol, seeing how eagerly Aidan
was getting out of the pool.

Her golden brown eyes sparkled as she
watched her eager younger brother rushing along the poolside,
dripping wet, hurrying to help her. It warmed her heart even if her
conscience was nagging that he only wanted to touch her body for
his own selfish reasons.

Hush,” she whispered to herself, and
then flashed a smile as she held out the big, black towel to
him.

With a curious gleam in his narrowed eyes,
Aidan took the towel and began toweling himself off as Dionne did
the same with her colorful beach towel. She was as calm as could be
and as readable as hieroglyphics to him at that moment! Since when
was he unable to read his sister’s mood??

He stared silently at her calm, softly
flushed face. Despite having a heck of a time reading her, he
couldn’t bring himself to give up just yet. The thought alone was
unbearable. As they say, hope sprang eternal, and he was
desperately hoping he could still salvage the situation.

Jesus! Couldn’t she see how much he wanted
her? His Bermudas were still conspicuously tented despite the cool
pool water, despite his disappointment, and despite being upset
with himself. But . . . hope sprang eternal . . .

When she looked up at him, he froze. At that
moment, he saw a playfully devious twinkle in her beautiful
eyes.

He’d always thought she was beautiful.
Growing up, he believed she was the prettiest girl in the world.
Was he biased? Hell yeah. But looking at her now, he was convinced
she really was the most beautiful
woman
in the world.

A lump formed in his throat as he
stared at her slightly flushed, sensitive, and delicately
beautiful
heart-shaped face. He felt
so insecure, so timid around her those days, and those emotions
reared their ugly heads at the wrong time. She might think he was
still too young for her. He needed to say something . .
.

You’re really beautiful, Dionne.” he
said before he could stop himself. Then he immediately caught and
held his breath, thinking,
what the hell
was he thinking?
! But instead of huffing indignantly
like he’d half expected her to, or what she’d normally do, she just
smiled. His sharp gaze zeroed in on her Betty Boop lips and saw it
was a little, shy smile; one that was accompanied by glowing red
cheeks!

Thank you,” she responded. “So are
you, although I know you know it.”

Never knew
you
thought I was.”

She arched a brow. “I’ve got eyes, too,
Aidan.”

Yeah,” he said slowly, “but
it’s
how
you use them that
matters.”

Her arched brow slowly relaxed as she looked
curiously at him. He lowered his eyes, his thick lashes marring his
smooth, tan skin.

He wanted to tell her he wanted he to look
at him with the eyes of a woman, not with those of a sister. But he
didn’t think it was a good idea at the moment. Fact was, she hadn’t
run off to lock herself up in her attic room. She was still there
with him. There was still hope he could salvage what his youthful
impatience had nearly destroyed.

I guess I just wanted to say it means
a lot to me to know you think I’m beautiful enough,” he said in all
honesty.

Then he raised his gaze to her, seeing her
looking at him with a look he couldn’t decipher. He sighed
inwardly. Then he turned his head and eyed the bottle of
moisturizer thinking it was a good idea to lighten the mood a
little. She’d set her bottle on the teakwood table that stood
between two matching chaises, and she did ask him to help her.

Not a bad idea, either, since he’d get a
chance to show off his skills AND he got to touch her all that
time. He was getting sexually frustrated because Dionne remained so
annoyingly elusive, and her surrogates just weren’t doing it for
him anymore. God knows Candy tried! He never had an erection go
flaccid as quickly as it did back in the locker room after Dionne
bolted. Even Candy’s beautiful and perfectly sculpted body couldn’t
resurrect him.

Maybe, as he rubbed in Dionne’s lotion over
her soft skin, he could cop a feel here and there while making it
all seem as if he were just helping her with her moisturizer.

On second thought,” his sister spoke
up, “I won’t need any moisturizer. I can do that later. It’s nearly
lunch time, and I’m a little hungry. I need to get something to eat
first.”

He suddenly felt panicked as he watched his
chances slip away, and he got downright angry. The red that flashed
before his frustrated eyes, and his feverish attempts to hide this
from Dionne, briefly blinded him for the twinkle in her eyes.

But she knew her handsome brother well, and
she’d already noticed the disappointed downward curve of his oh, so
sensual mouth as he bent his head while he tried to look calm while
toweling off his long, hairless legs.

Dionne tossed her purple towel aside, making
it land on the chaise. Then she stepped forward and walked over to
him seeing him rise, then quickly look up with those beautiful but
briefly disappointed eyes. She watched how they morphed from deep
disappointment to hope and then surprise.

Aidan watched as his sister approached him
wearing a smile that stunned him before it had him instantly
reeling. It was a smile he’d only seen her give to her past
boyfriends, and realizing this, his heart skipped a beat.

Was all not lost after all?

She came to stand in front of him, and he
slowly straightened feeling apprehensive but also a little hopeful.
In his heart, hope sprang eternal, and he prayed she was having a
change of mind about . . . about helping her with her lotion. It
was a good starting point.

Her golden-brown eyes rose, looking warmly
into his confused but silent gaze. As always was the case when she
stood this close to him, he fell completely under her spell, and he
held his breath as his body trembled when she touched his bare
chest with soft fingertips.

Will you help me?” she asked
softly.

H-Help you?”
Yeah Aidan. Reeeeeal smooth!
“I mean, with
what?”

Satisfying my appetite,” she
answered, watching her finger follow a trail down his
chest.

Was he dreaming?? Dionne was acting as if
she were some kind of . . . seductress. He had to be dreaming.
