“If
you strangle businesses much further, you’ll halt the growth completely. Do you
know exactly how many new taxes my operation has become subject to in the last
few years?” Lucas asked seriously to an ensuing silence. “Well, you should,
because I do.
Thirty.
Seriously Christian, thirty
fucking taxes, and if you don’t believe it, have one of your people check it
out.”

“You
can’t hold us responsible for all of them, Lucas,” the man said firmly and I
could hear the growing irritation in Lucas’s voice. I wasn’t certain whether it
was the thirty taxes or sexual frustration, but I couldn’t imagine it being the
latter. He’d just got his rocks off, unlike me, and I was growing increasingly
desperate at the incessant pulsing of my clit that I just couldn’t calm or
ignore. Lucas had never made me wait this long for an orgasm.

“Perhaps
not, but neither can I call to account a party that is no longer in power. You
understand business, Christian. We sat through enough of those damn classes
together at Oxford. You are making it almost impossible for us to operate in
the current climate.”

Lucas
was serious and assertive and all it was doing was heightening my need. I loved
it when he demanded and it sounded like he was about to make some demands of
the minister.

I
stopped listening to the words, hearing only Lucas’s low authoritative tone and
I couldn’t take it any longer. My hands moved to my swollen clit and I began to
rub, biting my lip to stifle my impending moans. Relief flooded through me as I
tried to stay silent, stroking my folds and shocked by just how wet I was. I
was swelling under my own touch, opening my legs even further. I didn’t want to
orgasm, knowing I couldn’t do that silently, but I needed relief from the throbbing.

I’d
thought maybe one or two touches would calm me enough, but I was too aroused. It
wasn’t working and as the intense waves began to build, it was impossible to
push them back. I moved my hands, but I couldn’t take it, spiralling out of
control and I was lost. I heard the word “Stop”, angry and urgent and blasting
through my muggy haze. I hoped it was aimed at the minister and not at me,
because there was no way I could.

I’d
lost control, passed the point of no return. I tried to establish if Lucas’s
visitor was still in the room, but my head was spinning and my body awash with
pleasure.

“I
don’t want us to fall out about this,” I heard, realising he was still here and
wishing he wasn’t. I needed Lucas inside me and I needed him now, clenching my
free fist and ramming it in my mouth in a desperate bid to stay silent as my
other hand sped up.

“Then
go and see your boss and sort it out, or I’ll move my manufacturing division to
fucking Taiwan.” I heard the scrape of a chair and footsteps growing fainter,
until the heavy wooden door clicked shut and Lucas was striding back towards me.
I didn’t need to see him to know he was angry, or determined, or both. I could
hear it in his movement and his breathing as he grew closer.

“What
the fuck are you trying to do to me, baby,” he growled, pulling off my
blindfold roughly as I stared up into those incredible eyes that were blazing.
It wasn’t anger, it was desire. It was pure, unadulterated, unapologetic carnal
lust as he grabbed my arm roughly, pulling me across to the side of his desk.

“Bend
over,” he ordered as my heart soared out of my chest with the thrilling
realisation that my beautiful Dom was as turned on and affected as I was. I did
as he said, hearing his zipper and the rip of foil before he thrust forward
suddenly, ramming himself inside me and I screamed out loud.

There
was no thought of Melody, or the business heads, or the Minister of the British
Government, only Lucas. The fullness was intoxicating as his fingers found my
clit and in seconds I was unravelling. My pussy clenched around his rock hard
cock, and we were grunting, moaning, panting and crying out as strong waves of
pleasure rocketed through me and I all but collapsed in my bliss.

Every
cell of my flesh was tingling in glorious aftershocks as he pulled me tighter,
nuzzling my neck and moaning deeply.

“My
beautiful girl, you are fucking incredible, but your orgasms belong to me,” I
heard as Lucas stilled and his cock twitched and jerked deep inside my centre,
filling me with even more cum. Seconds later I heard his zipper, forcing myself
up and turning around to face him, utterly boneless.

“Get
yourself cleaned up,” he said, placing a soft, chaste kiss on my forehead and moving
to sit at his desk as I stared at him for a moment, hurt and dejected by what
felt like a callous brush off. It seemed so at odds with what had just happened
that I hung my head, trying to hide my emotions before I moved to retrieve my
clothes and padded off to the bathroom.

Everything
about being with Lucas was a headfuck. I washed my face, cleaning away the
evidence of his orgasm, smiling to myself and wondering if he was mad or not.
He was always so cool and collected it was hard to tell. He hadn’t been mad
when he’d been coming, and I shivered deliciously at the thought as I reapplied
my make-up and tried to calm the pinkness in my heated cheeks.

I
left the bathroom, holding his gaze as I walked across to his desk, standing
where I’d just been fucked. I knew I’d broken some basic rules of submission,
but I could live with that. The consequences had been more than worth it and I
was trying to stifle my smile, knowing that had been an experience I would
never forget. Lucas was raising his eyebrows at my expression and my smile
broke as he frowned slightly. It looked like he was trying hard to stave off a
grin of his own.

“Got
anything to say?” he asked, quirking his eyebrow at me as I pressed my lips
together, trying not to smile.

“Err,
sorry,” I shrugged. I wasn’t.

“For
what?” he asked, tilting his head as a small curve tickled the side of his
mouth. I knew what I should be sorry for in theory.

“I’m
sorry for being impatient and not awaiting your instruction, and for getting
altogether carried away,” I said as he pulled me onto his lap. I squealed in
delight, releasing the giggle that had been lodged in my throat.

“As
long as you understand,” he said, blowing out a huge deep breath as his smile
finally broke and he pulled me tight, shaking his head and looking quietly
amused.

“I’ll
let it slide this time since that was so fucking amazing,” he winked, brushing
his lips against mine as a huge surge of victorious warmth enveloped my limbs
and I curled into his chest. Pleasing him elated me as much as displeasing him
disturbed me, and this was a feeling I much preferred.

“You
keep surprising me, baby. I thought maybe I’d hear ‘amber’ today and instead
you start masturbating four feet away from a Government Minister,” he smiled as
I started to laugh.

“You
worked me up too much, I couldn’t help it.” He placed his warm lips against mine
as affection washed over me and I knew that last night was completely behind
us.

I
cuddled him for a final time before jumping from his lap and deciding it was
about time I actually did some work, before he started to reconsider his
investment. “I’d better go. I’m going to try and meet Charlie later to discuss
the ideas for the Engineering Division event,” I smiled as he nodded, still
chuckling and shaking his head as I left the office, wishing every workday
could start this way.

“Where
are you meeting him?” he asked as I pulled the handle.

“We
haven’t confirmed it yet, but Dexter is on a sleepover, so I’m open. Unless
he’s over here on other business, I‘ll probably nip up to head office,” I
smiled as he nodded, returning to his work as I returned to mine.

CHAPTER 20

Charlie
was only free at five thirty and asked to meet me at a wine bar in the City. It
was unusual, but a welcome change from the office or the four walls of my
apartment. It was a rare treat to be out in the week and would distract me from
calling Samson Flatstone’s mother for the third time to check Dex was still
okay. I’d heard them in the background, screeching and running riot. The poor
woman had enough on her hands with two wayward five year olds, without adding
an overzealous, anxious parent into the mix.

He’d
never stayed out anywhere except Mrs Jones’ house before. I wasn’t sure how
he’d manage, but according to Pauline Flatstone, my son was adjusting far
better than me. He knew Samson from Sports Kids and school, and I knew Pauline
the same way. He’d been pestering about this for months and I’d finally caved
in.

She’d
call me if there were any problems and I pushed my anxiety to one side, waving
at Charlie as I entered wine bar. He was leaning casually against the curved solid
oak bar in a beautifully cut three piece suit. My mouth curled into a
suspicious smile as I took in the delectable creature that was standing right
beside him.
Coincidence?
I didn’t think so and it was
hard to hide my delight.

He
bent to kiss my cheeks as I smiled up at him brightly before Lucas did the
same. “Hello, gorgeous,” he whispered against my ear, sending a bristling
shiver running down my spine as I looked up at Charlie, wondering if he knew
about our unusual morning.

A
slight flush fired up my cheeks as visuals burst into my brain and I could see
Lucas grinning in my peripheral vision as Charlie asked me what I’d like to
drink. I straightened myself up, trying to get my professional head on and
asked for a glass of water.

“Why?”
he laughed as I shrugged, adjusting my heavy bag on my shoulder that was
holding my laptop and the files for the engineering event.

“Because
I’m here to work,” I said as he chuckled gently.

“We
can do business over wine. Just talk me through the pitch, Jess. I’ll get the
idea, I don’t need all the detail,” he said as I nodded.

“White
wine then, please” I smiled as Lucas put his hand on the small of my back,
guiding me over to an empty table at the far end of the bar, pulling out a seat
and searing me with an incredible white smile.

“You
look fucking delicious,” he said, taking his seat as I smiled broadly, warmed
by his words before Charlie joined us.

He
handed me my drink as I took a sip, following Lucas’s gaze to the television
screen hanging over the bar. The place was crowded and the sound mute, but I
stilled, open mouthed as the words ran across the bottom of the screen. Jesus.
Had I played with myself only feet from the man who was currently being
interviewed outside the Houses of Parliament?

“Christian’s
doing well, isn’t he?” Charlie said, nodding at the screen and smiling at
Lucas.

“Not as well as he could be doing. I lost my
cool with him this morning over the proposed changes to the export tax. I was
somewhat distracted,” Lucas said; an unmistakeable curve at the side of his
mouth as he glanced at me and then back at his brother.

I
sipped my wine and put my head down as my cheeks flared again. “Go easy on him,
Lucas. He might be your best mate, but he won’t take any of your shit now he’s a
member of cabinet. He could make PM one day and that’s a pretty powerful ally,”
he smiled as I gasped in shock, looking again at the screen and the handsome
politician, catching the words ‘export tax’ as they ran across the bottom of
the screen.

“Well,
he’s obviously taken my words on board. I’ll let him beat me at golf and it will
all be forgotten,” Lucas smirked as Charlie laughed, shaking his head.

“No
you won’t. You can’t lose on purpose; it’s not in your DNA,” he grinned.

I
pulled out the file, arranging it on the table and looking up at the sound of a
scraping chair, only to see Chas smiling back at me and nursing a large gin and
tonic.

“Are
you two finally on a date then?” she asked as Charlie stood up, kissing her on
the cheek and I threw her a warning stare.

“No,
it’s a business meeting, which you’re crashing,” I said, raising my eyebrows in
irritation as she laughed. She took a seat anyway, putting her drink on the
table and splashing tonic all over my file.

“Charlie
invited me,” she said as I glanced at the boys in turn, wondering what the hell
was going on here. It felt more like a date than a business meeting, but we
were compartmentalising at Lucas’s insistence. He didn’t seem unduly fazed by
the appearance of my sister. He must have known she was coming and I wondered
if he’d set this up on purpose.

I was
flattered, if somewhat confused, and tried to bury the butterflies erupting in
my stomach as I drank in those incredible features.

“Well,
it’s good you’re here, anyway,” I said, trying to regain control of the situation.
It was sixty per cent my business, and right now Charlie was my client.

I only had two and I could ill afford to cock
this up.

“Why?”
she asked as I smiled across at her.

“I
was going to suggest ‘Madventure’ for the Engineering division away weekend,” I
said as she laughed.

“I
bloody love that place, Charlie,” she grinned.

“Your staff will have a great time. It’s all
about team bonding and outdoor pursuits. It’s a really good laugh, if a little
off the wall,” she laughed as he raised his eyebrows.

“The
foods shit though, you’re better off with outside caterers,” she smiled as
Charlie grimaced. She’d read my mind.

“That’s
where you come in, Chas. I was hoping to utilise one of your catering suppliers
like you did for the last Elite event you held there. That way, you’d have to
be there anyway and oversee things,” I smiled, biting my lip as she smiled
knowingly. We couldn’t both leave Dex for a whole weekend; no one would have
him for that long.

“Which
means you wouldn’t have to be? I get it. You want me to run it,” she said as I
nodded.

“Will
you be there?” she asked, turning to Charlie as he sighed.

“Unfortunately, yes. The CEO’s delegated this
one,” he said, glancing at Lucas who was smiling broadly.

“You’ll
love it. Charlie. Hey, maybe we could share a wigwam,” she winked as he held
her gaze for far longer than necessary. They might have settled on friends, but
the sexual chemistry was unmistakeable.

“It
just got better. Tell me about the wigwam,” he smirked as Chas flashed her
eyebrows.

“You’d
better be good with your hands, because we’ll have to build it first,” she said
as Lucas laughed.

“Well
you’re fucked then. Charlie can’t even put up a tent. He’s more your five star
hotel kind of man,” he quipped as Chas grinned broadly.

“But
I’m good with my hands in other ways,” Charlie grinned at her.

“I
can live with that,” she laughed as I realised my so-called business meeting
was nothing of the sort and it would be nigh on impossible to get this back on
track.

“Anyway,
I was just about to say that we could...” I started as Charlie put his hands up
to stop me.

“Sold, Jess.
Let’s do
it,” he said as I stared at him. He’d barely let me get off the blocks. Other
than sharing a wigwam with my sister he knew absolutely nothing about my plans.
It was hardly the right way to go about gaining experience or demonstrating my
professionalism to my business partner. Right now both him and my supposed
client couldn’t be less interested as I pouted slightly, trying to hide my
dejection.

It
wasn’t successful.

“Great
work, Jess,” Lucas winked, trying to appease me, but all it left me feeling was
patronised. It might be a joke to him, but I wanted this to work. It was all so
new to me and I needed the practice.

I
took a few moments putting my file back in my bag and avoiding everyone’s gaze,
once again wondering what this meeting was really about.

“Oh
God, look who it is,” Chas scowled, pulling me from my thoughts as I turned
around, watching the tall handsome figure of Brad Johnson striding towards our
table and I couldn’t help but laugh.

“Lucas,
Charlie, Chas,” he said, holding her gaze as Charlie frowned. I watched in
amusement as my sister took a long sip of her gin and tonic, looking up at him
through her thick, curved lashes and holding what I knew to be an incredibly
fake smile.

“You
know Chas?” Charlie asked, looking between the two as Brad nodded, laughing.

“Yeah.
It’s good
to see you, baby,” he said as Charlie’s eyebrows knotted into a deep frown.

“The
feeling is entire un-mutual,” Chas replied, holding her smile. From the predatory
expression on Brad’s face, I guessed he’d missed the ‘un’.

“I
need to take you on another date, Chas. As I remember you had an emergency last
time,” he said seductively as my sister almost choked on her gin. She’d bailed,
plain and simple.

“29
th
of February is good for me,” she smiled when a beautiful girl with long, raven
black hair ambled over in a dress so tight it was like a second skin. She had
an incredible body. There weren’t many people who could pull that off I thought,
as Brad weaved his arm around her waist.

“See
you on the 29
th
then,” he grinned as she nodded, looking up at him
coyly before he disappeared with his date. Clearly she wasn’t as discerning as
my sister and didn’t mind him hitting on other women when they were out
together.

“He’s
not interested in a relationship,” Charlie spat as soon as he was out of
earshot. Chas just continued to sip coolly on her gin and tonic, much to
Charlie’s irritation. “He isn’t the right guy for you,” he continued as she
finally put down her drink and turned to face him.

“I
know. He’s so self important that he makes Lucas look positively humble,” she
laughed, glancing over at him as he quirked an eyebrow at her. Charlie was
chuckling now, but his impatience was getting the better of him.

“So
why the
hell have
you just agreed to a date with him?”

“It’s
not a leap year, Charlie. She agreed to a date in two years time,” Lucas said
flatly as Charlie suddenly relaxed, laughing gently and Chas flashed her
eyebrows at him.

“And
that’s why he’s the CEO and you have to spend weekends in forests building
rafts with your engineers,” Chas quipped as Charlie’s face darkened
momentarily.

“He’s
the CEO because he was born first,” he snapped, clearly irritated by my
sister’s comment. “That bird was a ten though,” he smiled at her, stunning Chas
for a second, no doubt trying to piss her off, but she gathered herself
quickly.

“And
so is this one,” he muttered as I followed his gaze to a tall, slim auburn
haired woman with stunning green eyes that were fixed firmly on Lucas as my
stomach lurched.

He
was watching her as she approached the table, a tight smile set on the soft
full mouth that brought me so much pleasure and I knew instinctively they’d
been intimate.

“Hi,
Lucas,” she smiled, bending slightly to give him a better view of her ample
bosom, before casting a quick glance around the table. “Marianne” he said
coolly. I looked across to my sister who was driving a fierce stare into the
side of Marianne’s face.

“Are
you going to the opening of Bathsheba later?” she asked as my eyes shot to his.

“I’m not sure. I’m out with my friends
tonight.” I swallowed hard and she gazed down at me for the first time and her
distaste was instant.

It
was the same look I’d endured from a restaurant full of jealous women when we’d
had that awful business lunch, and the fact that I was sitting here in a
crumpled suit that had spent most of the morning on the floor of Lucas’s office
wasn’t helping. I couldn’t look up as she told him she might see him later,
returning to her friends and leaving a strange air of tension in her wake.

“She
wasn’t a ten, Charlie. I’d give her a seven at best. Her face is too plastic,”
Chas smiled, casting me a supportive glance as I tried to smile.

“I
wasn’t looking at her face. You looked like you wanted to punch her lights out,
Chas,” Charlie laughed as she grinned broadly.

“I did. You might want to know I can be a
scrappy little fucker when I want to be, but it’s her you really need to worry
about,” she said, pointing at me as Charlie and Lucas looked on disbelievingly.

“You
needn’t look like that. I’ve known her longer than you two. Don’t buy that
Little Miss Compliant; butter wouldn’t melt in my mouth bullshit act. She’s got
one hell of a temper,” Chas smirked as Lucas raised his eyebrows.

“I
don’t believe you,” Charlie said, smiling at me as I smiled back.

“Believe
it. You didn’t see what she did to Pippa Plant,” she laughed as I rolled my
eyes.
