“We were together not more than fifteen minutes ago,” I whispered, trying to hold on to the last bit of consciousness I had.
“No, I’ve missed you,” he said, emphasizing his point by sucking hard on the sensitive spot on my neck and running his hand up my skirt.
“It’s bright day light,” I said, stopping his hand from advancing. Cars passed by us and I pulled away. “You’re supposed to be helping me to pack. The sooner I’m packed the sooner I can move in, right?”
Devin sighed, “Fine, let’s hurry up and get to your house. I’m tempted to just take you here and now but I’ll wait.”
I smiled and pulled away from the curb and began the drive toward my house. “Pull into the garage trunk first for easy moving,” Devin said and I backed into the garage.
I unbuckled my seat belt and climbed out followed by Devin. Together we walked inside and up the stairs. “I have suitcases we can put everything in. I’m not taking much, just a few things.” We stopped outside my door and Devin gripped the hand he was holding tighter. “Come on,” I said, opening the door. “There are more good memories in here than just that one bad one.”
“You’re right. I can think of several good ones.” I gave him a pointed look and he laughed. “I wasn’t even referring to that night,” he said, mentioning the first night we had sex. “Besides, I seem to recall you thinking I was doing it only as an educational experience for you.”
“I didn’t want it to be. I really hoped it was more, but you were the one who said something about giving me that experience. So that’s why you left? Why you were mad?”
Devin nodded. “But then you came to my room in that towel and I wasn’t going to let it happen, but I mean look at you. You’re a temptress. How could I resist your charm and beauty?”
I shook my head and smiled. “Let’s get to work, Casanova.”
“Hey, I’m only a one-person charmer,” Devin said, defending his honor.
“Fine, let’s get this over with, Prince Charming.”
“Now that’s more like it, beautiful.”
I pulled out the suitcases from my closet and tossed them on the bed while Devin walked around the room, looking at all the little things I had on my shelves.
I began opening drawers and pulling out clothes and haphazardly throwing them into the open suitcases. Next I emptied the clothes in my closet, selecting a few for our trip and placing them in their own pile. My shoes came next, only instead of tossing them around I made sure each one was put away carefully.
“How many pairs of shoes do you have?” Devin finally said.
“Well, not counting sandals and tennis shoes maybe twenty-two, give or take.” His mouth opened and I pointed at him. “They’ll fit. We’re not getting rid of the shoes.”
Devin managed a smile and came up behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist. “I wouldn’t think of it. Your legs always look sexy with your shoes. How could I get rid of any of them? Remind me to get more shoe racks when we get home.”
I smiled and hugged him tightly. “I’m not dreaming, right?”
“Certainly not. It’s real, all of it,” he said, tilting my chin up. “I love you.”
I smiled. “I love you, too. Now help me get my books packed away.”
We spent the next couple hours looking through my shelves and pulling books I would need for school and books I just liked to read off my shelves.
“I knew you loved reading, but you have a ton of books. It’s like your own library.”
“We don’t have to take them all, just my favorites.”
“Are you ready to go?” I asked as I walked back into my closet. “I want to take this too,” I said, bringing out one of the bins that sat in the back of my closet. “When Mom and Dad died, I put everything that reminded me of them into this bin. I think I want to bring it with us and unpack a few things.”
Devin smiled gently and held out his arms for me. I fell into his embrace and just enjoyed the feeling of his arms holding me tightly. I kissed his neck and heard him groan. “What do you do to me?” he asked as he leaned down and began kissing me. I gasped at the sensation and realized how much I missed his hands running over my body and his mouth kissing every inch of me. I moaned as he sucked on the sensitive skin between my neck and shoulder.
“God, I love it when you do that,” I gasped. His hands were traveling down my back and side.
I could feel his smile against my skin. “I know, it pushes you over the edge.”
I pulled away, keeping him at arm’s length. “I’m not falling this time, buddy,” I said somewhat sternly. “Let’s go.”
Devin chuckled. “I never should have said anything. I could have been inside you by now, making you—”
“Stop.” I held my finger up to his lips so he couldn’t say anything further. “Now, go take these suitcases down and I will bring the bin.”
He smiled but followed my instructions and in a few minutes everything was packed up. “You can drive,” I said, handing him the keys. “Only we need to stop at Larissa’s hotel. I need to get the rest of my things and I still need to finish packing for our trip.”
He nodded and climbed into the car. I followed and watched as he settled in the seat.
“Before we go anywhere,” I started to tell Devin. He looked over and I reached out and pulled him toward me, closing the gap between us. I kissed him hard on the mouth then moved to nibble his neck. He groaned and moved his hands to my waist and began to travel under my blouse.
I pulled away and smiled. “You ready to go?”
Devin narrowed his eyes. “You’re a tease. We are not leaving until—”
I stopped him with another kiss. “I know. That’s why I stopped you before you started the car. Now, push the chair back.” I lifted my skirt and maneuvered over to straddle his lap after he pushed the seat back. His hands moved to my blouse, undoing the buttons as mine moved to his shirt. He kissed my neck and I moaned as he found the spot.
My hands moved to run through his hair as my breathing became labored. His hands ran over my bra and pulled out my breasts before moving to suck them. I gasped at the sensation. I had missed this and even more missed our connection.
My hands finally ran over his chest and his movements stilled. As I continued my movements, his mouth left my breast and his head leaned back. I bent down and began to kiss down his chest to his nipple. He gasped as I took it between my teeth. His hands went to my head and I continued the onslaught. My hands moved to his pants and I undid his belt. I pulled out his member and began to caress him. He groaned under my touch.
“I would kiss it, but I’m not positioned right,” I whispered in his ear. “Lift the steering wheel.”
He fumbled as I continued to massage him and managed to lift the wheel. It was just enough to shimmy down to the floor. I looked up at him and then lowered my lips, first kissing him softly then slowly encompassing him with my mouth. He shuddered and a low guttural groan escaped from his throat. My tongue encircled his tip and his hands grabbed my hair. I knew he was close to release, but like always he pulled me away and motioned for me to climb back up.
I straddled his legs again and his hands moved my skirt out of the way. His fingers ran up my thigh, pushed aside my underwear and began to play with me. I moaned and braced my hands on the top of the seat. He kissed my lips as he pushed his fingers inside me. I whimpered into his mouth and he drove his fingers in harder. I pulled away and shook my head and as my hips bucked his hand I forced myself to stop his movements. I stopped his hand and looked into his eyes.
“I want you inside. Please,” I begged and before I could say any more he thrust inside and captured my mouth with his. I moved slightly on his lap and his hands went to my butt. We began to move together rhythmically. I braced my hands back on the seat and thrust harder. “More, Devin. Harder. Oh, god, I need you!”
He thrust harder and even lifted us up to fully enter me. I moaned as he gripped the wheel for support. As we continued to move together the wheel came back down and my butt kept hitting the horn.
“This is going to be one to remember,” Devin barely got out before I moaned his name and nearly screamed in release. He followed me, shuddering and collapsing back onto the seat. I held onto him as we slowed our breathing.
“This was just a teaser,” I said.
“A teaser? That was amazing.”
“Now I will never look at my car the same,” I told him.
“Good, because every time I drive my car I think about that night. Now you will know what it feels like.”
I kissed his nose. “We should probably head out. Mitch and Megan might come home for lunch.”
“They don’t need lunch and a show.”
I laughed and kissed his cheek before shifting off of his lap and back into my seat. I readjusted my bra and buttoned my shirt while he fix up his attire. I looked over just as he was finishing and smiled. “Ready?”
“We’re going to the hotel first?”
I nodded and we rode hand in hand to the hotel. I brought up the suitcase I was planning on taking the next day and began packing. The rest I left in the suitcase I brought with me originally. “So this is where you’ve been staying?”
I nodded my head. “I’m done. I’ll leave these here and come to your place in the morning with them.”
“You’re not staying with me tonight?”
I smiled at his woeful expression. “No, like I said, the car was just a teaser. You’ll have it all tomorrow. Now let’s go get something to eat and unpack what we can.”
We retrieved my things and went back to his place and hopped onto a plane headed for a quick stop in Vegas then out to Hawaii. It was only a day before I started getting the texts.
Where are you? Are you off with Devin?

I sent back a quick reply, telling him the happy news and asking him to tell Dr. Stone then promptly ignored the rest of his messages.
“Are you still writing in the ridiculous notebook?” Devin asked.
Crap. I didn’t think he would wake up yet.
“Maybe,” I told him.
“Well, Mrs. Malone, come back to bed. I can think of several things to do besides watch you write in your notebook. I didn’t even think you brought it with us.”
“Let me just send one quick text,” I told him.
Larissa, you won the bet. Devin and I are married.

My phone chirped almost immediately.
Great!!! So happy for you two! And congratulations
on your future son. I just made another bet about the
sex of your first child. And you know I never lose a bet.
I looked up at Devin’s smiling face. “Looks like our first child will be a son,” I told him. “Larissa just made a bet.”
Devin laughed. “Well, why don’t you come over here and we can start practicing.”
