"You're not the only one with a few martial
arts tricks up your sleeve, kid." He hissed.

"Jesus Blake, calm down for God's sake. All
I'm saying is I would never do anything to her. You go on home and
sleep this off and I'll come by the apartment tomorrow when all our
heads are a little more clear.

Joshua grunted and pushed him away. Adam
pulled on his jacket and left. The night hadn't gone exactly as
planned. He would miss his spot on the floor next to MJ but hell,
at least maybe he could go somewhere, jack off in peace and maybe
get a good night's sleep.

Or maybe he wouldn’t. Maybe he would just
head back to the apartment after all, just to see what that hothead
Blake would do if he found him there next to MJ again. Blake would
probably take another swing at him in front of her and disgrace
himself even more.

Chapter
Thirty-Three

MJ got back to the apartment and went straight to
bed. She didn't know what she was feeling. Years without romance
and now two gorgeous men were literally fighting over her.

Unreal’ was the word that
came to mind, Followed by ‘idiots’.

Adorable idiots. She hardly knew either of
them.

She was half asleep when she heard the front
door open and careful footsteps find their way to her bedroom. Her
body tightened in response. After the night they had just had, she
didn’t know how she would feel about Adam sleeping next to her
again. Some easygoing night out among friends that was. If he had
any sense he would just grab his sleeping bag and go sleep on the
sofa like a gentleman.

But if he did that, she would miss him lying
next to her, breathing her name rhythmically and desperately in the
darkness. It was the guilty pleasure that she was becoming addicted
to.

The bedroom door opened and she didn't move,
faking sleep. She listened to Adam undress and then heard the sound
of his heavy, masculine breath approach from behind and put a
delicate, loving kiss onto her temple.

God damn him.
She felt a thrill go through her. There was such
strong feeling there, laced with dangerous sexuality.
Why can’t he just back off?
Dangerous sexuality wasn’t what she needed right now,
especially as it was exactly what she found herself desperately
wanting.

In just a few minutes he was asleep, and
just like the last two nights, soon she heard his unsatisfied
desire begin to rise. Grunts and groans, writhing and twisting. She
was sure if she turned over she would see his iron rod already
lifting the sleeping bag above him, every inch of his powerful body
and every ounce of his pent-up emotions wanting her, his body
crying out to bury itself inside the woman next to him.

Memories and images of the sensuality of the
dancefloor colored his dreams and he began to whisper and moan her
name. But even there she eluded him, ran from him, taunted him.

Despite her reluctance MJ felt the response
of her own body and she quickly became wet between the sheets.
Maybe it was the disinhibiting effect of the alcohol but tonight,
instead of hiding, she rolled over onto her back and pushed the
blankets down.

A feeling of abandon came over her. She slid
her hand down onto her pubic mound and then pushed her fingers
inside her soft, pulsating flesh. She began to massage, caress, and
cajole in rhythm with the strained thrusting and groaning of the
man beside her. Every noise from his muscular chest and throat sent
desire shivering through her as memories of the two men either side
of her on the dance floor filled her mind's eye.

Joshua; huge muscular, powerful, squeezing
against her breasts and Adam; tall, wiry, super-fit, and ripped,
his long thighs, hips, and groin against her ass.

The man on the floor kept softly calling her
name, whispering and then reached out to her in the darkness but
found nothing. His voice was different tonight; softer, more tender
but also more intense. MJ’s breath quickened and her heart beat
faster.

The body on the floor next to her continued
to strain and then at last he found her in his dreams, cornered
her, and ravished her willing body in the realm of his dreams.

MJ could feel herself going higher as the
man beside her continued calling out her name in the darkness like
a mantra. She reached out her hand towards him but found nothing.
She looked over in the darkness as her fingers vigorously worked
her clit, watching the man cum in his sleep as her own desire
cascaded into full orgasm.

But there was no release for him, no sense
of peace. As soon as he was done, her image was there again as
haunting and sensuous as ever before. He knew he would never be
satisfied without her. He called out her name again and again and
again.

MJ looked at the man
beside her, his dark hair, his olive skin in the moonlight.
Holy shit!
Her mouth
dropped open.
That's not Adam…

She pulled her underwear
and the blankets back up and rolled over to her side again.
What the hell is going on in this
house?

The sleeping hunk beside her whispered her
name again and again like a mantra as he hunted her in his
dreams.

Chapter
Thirty-Four

The next morning, MJ woke alone again. Whatever had
happened between the two men and why Blake had slept next to her
instead of Adam would have to remain a mystery.

It was 10:00 Sunday morning, but just late
enough to call LA. The voice that answered was groggy.

"Yeah? Who is it?"

"Ally, Wake up. It's me."

"Hey MJ, what's up? You know it's 7:00 here,
right?"

"I'm sorry Ally, but I have to speak to you.
I need your advice -- boyfriend advice."

Alison was upright in bed instantly.

"You've got my full attention. Shoot."

"Okay. I've kind of got this crazy situation
going on here. First off, just to set the scene, I'm living with
two guys."

"Okay. You know that's not the weird thing
it used to be."

"It is if you're sleeping in one of the
guy's beds with him next to you, mumbling your name in his wet
dreams all night long."

Alison exploded into laughter and then
stifled it into a pillow. She didn't want to wake the big
sprawled-out sexy man next to her. Daniel needed his Sunday morning
sleep-in, especially after the kind of sex they had had last night.
He still had a handcuff on his right wrist.

"MJ, what the hell have you gotten yourself
into? Is Mr. Hard-on cute?"

"Cute? Are you kidding me? The guy is a
hottie and I mean scorching. Tall, blond, muscular, and a total
gentleman. He chased down a pickpocket and got my wallet and phone
back, totally saving my life and then gave me a place to stay while
I'm between apartments."

"So why the hell aren't you jumping all over
those hard-ons like a kangaroo? What are you waiting for? Is the
voice of an angel telling you get your panties off?"

"He's a loser."

"How can he be a loser? Come on MJ, not this
old thing again. You just told me he's hot as hell, he's a hero,
and he's literally got a hard-on for you. So where's the
downside?"

"He's a cycle courier. And past the sell-by
date for the profession as well. I have the feeling he's flat broke
and just barely surviving on the generosity of his roommate."

"Oh Jesus MJ, come on. You don't have to
marry the guy, just let him jump on your bones for a week or two.
When was the last time you... you know..."

"What? Played hide the salami without actual
salami?"

Alison stifled another snigger. This was the
kind of language she missed so much from her dear old friend. Her
social circle in LA was great but just missing some of that good
old New York City raw edge.

"Exactly." She said. "When’s the last time
the beef choo choo blew it's creamy whistle into the wet
tunnel?"

"Way too long."

"So you are overdue some fun, big sis. Come
on woman, if the guy is moaning your name in the dark with a police
batton in his pants, then why don’t you just climb up on there and
ride the fun rocket to Uranus and beyond?"

"Jesus Alison, what has LA done to you? You
were always the quiet one."

"Don't ask. So anyway, is that the advice
you needed?"

"No, there's more."

Alison squeaked with delight. This was
almost like the good old days. In fact no, it was better than the
old days.

"There's another guy."

"Shut. Up. Bitch!"

"You shut up. Just listen. He's the
roommate."

"No!"

"Oh yes."

"Is he hot?"

"Like the surface of the sun on the Fourth
of July. Adam is cute but Blake is like -- Jesus, I sound so corny
-- he's just got everything. I could eat him alive he's so sexy and
he's got money, too. Maybe not Drummond-style moolah but he's got
his own limo and driver and this awesome place on the Upper East
Side. That’s where I'm staying now."

"So you have the other one's attention but
you want this sexy executive type Blake to notice you."

"That's not it either. He slept next to me
last night and the same thing happened. I watched him cum in his
shorts while he moaned my name."

"Fuck off bitch!"

Alison covered her mouth. She wasn’t
normally so crude but then again, MJ had never shared anything like
these juicy nuggets with her before.

"Will you watch it, Alison? Is this really
so crazy?" MJ was laughing.

"Are you kidding me? I live in LA. I hear
this crazy Hollywood Hills stuff happening all the time. But you're
telling me you have two hot guys, like models or movie stars or
whatever, and they are literally creaming their shorts over you
while you lie next to them and watch? And nobody is filming this or
paying you for it?"

"Not that I know of." MJ glanced nervously
around the room.

"So which one are you
going to do first? Because you’re not seriously going to ask
me
if
you should
date one of these guys, right?"

"That's the problem, Alison. I can't decide.
They're both so damn hot and they're both into me. I just can't
believe it. These guys are intense but total, like, gentlemen. I
feel completely safe around both of them. Better than safe; it's
like these guys are my guardian angels or something."

Alison looked over at her own sexy guardian
angel slumbering next to her.

"Yeah, I know what you mean. So you're
asking me to help you decide between the two of them?"

"Not exactly that, either."

"You've got me now, MJ. I give up. What is
it you want me to help you decide?"

MJ didn't say anything. She already felt
like she had gone too far. "You know what Ally? Just forget about
it--"

"Don't you dare tell me that you want to see
both of them at the same time!"

"Is that so wrong?"

Alison had to think for a moment. Her friend
was obviously in a crazy place, but it was one that she recognized.
It was less than a year ago that her whole life had been turned
upside down and she had to find a new way of understanding the
world and the people around her.

"MJ, I’m not the person to tell you what’s
right or wrong here. But look, if feel so strongly about these two
men, then you owe it to them and to yourself to play fair."

This wasn’t what MJ had been hoping to
hear.

"Here’s what I think you should do: before
you make any decision on either of them, why don’t you meet up with
Josh first. You never know, you might actually like him and it
might make your decision a little easier."

"I don’t know, Ally. Maybe I need to do
things the other way round. Maybe I need to hold off on meeting
Joshua until my head is straight. It wouldn’t be fair to him. It
would be just leading him on and potentially making things more
complicated."

This wasn’t what Alison wanted to hear. "You
really don’t want to have anything to do with the Drummonds, do
you?"

"Why would I? They got me fired and took
away my two best friends in New York City."

"Okay. Like I haven’t heard this a million
times before, but honey, you agreed to meet Josh and I’m going to
hold you to that."

"Ally--"

"No. Now you listen to me MJ, you want my
honest advice on what to do, right? Well here it is: forget these
two guys. You hardly know them. You know nothing about them. I know
Josh. I know he’s a good man and I know his family. He’s the one
you should meet. If you’re asking me about these two guys, if you
really, really can’t hold back then, I’ll say this: date the
intense guy first -- the business guy. Not because of his money but
because if you do it the other way around, then you’ve lost him
already. He sounds more like Josh or even Daniel. He may not
forgive you. It could be all or nothing for him. The other guy?
He’ll wait. If it doesn’t work out with the business guy, then the
cycle courier will still be there."

MJ felt relief tinged with shame. It made
her sound so bad. But what was she really doing wrong? They both
wanted her and she wanted both of them. Right?

"Thanks, Ally. I appreciate your advice. I
have no one else to ask these days."

"My advice is to forget both of them and see
Josh. Do you understand that? Just so we are absolutely clear."

"It’s clear, Ally. I get it. But I
appreciate your other thoughts, too. And I promise, I will meet
Josh."

"When?"

"If this other thing crashes around me, then
I promise I'll meet him, okay?"

Alison sighed. She felt for her friend. MJ
had always been the level-headed one, but the loneliness of the big
city and her bad luck over the last twelve months was obviously
getting to her.
