Tamika

Dom was acting all crazy when we went into that party. Probably ‘cuz of all the times that I embarrassed her before. I didn’t mean to. I never meant to, but, a lot of guys have been real rude to her. Some guys just don’t like bigger girls. She’s not even bigger. Her body is hot. I’d kill to have tits like hers, but, some guys out there, all they want are skinny bitches. I’m not skinny, I just got lucky in that all my weight goes right to my ass and hips.

Anyway, she was freaking out about this guy that was leaning against the wall. He wasn’t my type at all, but, who was I to judge? He had these dreads, and I just don’t care for dreads, myself. Dom saw him and, I swear, she must of gotten wet just looking at him. We went farther into the house, and that was all she could talk about, then some bitch came up to her and started talking all types of shit. Saying she was a fat bitch and whatever. I smacked that bitch to the floor, and then there was all this pushing, and someone grabbed my hair, and then we were getting the hell out of there. I always defend my girl. That bitch was just jealous. Fuck her. Anyway, I found that guy on the way out and gave him Dom’s number. And I told him that if he fucked with her at all, I’d cut his balls off.

When we were walking out the door, there was this super fine dark skinned god of a man that tried to talk to me, but, Dom was running so fast to get out of there that I had to catch up with her. I really wanted to turn around and find him. My panties got wet just looking at him. The way he moved, and stared at me was super sexy. He was like a cat. There I go getting wet again. I can just imagine riding his cock until fucking dawn. I bet he’s huge.

Damn, that chick was hot, 5’8” with a smoking ass and hips. Her tits were a little small, but, no matter. I tried to talk to her but, she wasn’t having it. I’d have to find her again some other time. She looked a little young, probably a freshman, just coming in. I’d be happy to show her around campus, or where ever else she wanted to see. My bedroom is always the last stop on the tour.

I found Evens leaning against the wall drinking a beer and told him about this hot chick that I saw on the way in, but, he was tripping about some girl that had just come up to him and given him her friend’s phone number.

“Come on, let’s go find some pussy.”

“Nah, I’m good.”

“Good?”

“Yeah, chill nigga, it ain’t always about getting your dick wet.”

“Is for me.”

“You need some discipline.”

Evens was always preaching to me about having more discipline. Sometimes I wanted to beat his ass for it, but, without him, I’d have nothing. He gave me my start. When I met, him, I was poor as hell. He brought me into the organization, strictly based on the fact that I was Haitian too. He didn’t know me from a hole in the ground, but he took a chance on me because he believed in me. I ain’t never had someone believe in me like he did. He always was looking out. It’s weird to have someone who cares about you like he does. My ma, she cares for me, but that’s different. Evens is loyal. Loyal as they come.

Don’t get me wrong, I have helped him too. Helped him with his English. He was a little soft when I got to him, too. He ain’t soft anymore. But, he’s disciplined. He’s sneaky like that, he can flip that switch when he need to, but, he doesn’t bring that shit out if he don’t have to. When I met him, he still had a bit of a Jamaican/Haitian accent, but he’s real good at speaking proper. He’s a businessman through and through. He only gets gangsta as a last resort. I’m proud to know that I helped show him the ropes.

In Cite Soleil, everyone is in a gang. Everyone. The whole place is one big slum run by a bunch of gangs. My dad was the muscle for our neighborhood. He was a badass. ’Til the one day he just didn’t come home. We found out later that day that he had been shot. One of his people stopped in and brought flowers to my mother.

“What is this?” She asked, but she already knew. I held her while she cried, then she turned to me and said “It’s your turn now, Manny.” I was scared. I knew what she meant.

I started out just making deliveries between different areas of Cite Soleil. But Janjak saw my drive, my hustle, and he put me in charge of a corner on the west side of Port au Prince. My mother stayed home and made sure the house was taken care of. I could tell how sad she was, and everyday I was out there, I thought about her. I kept telling her, “Mother, when I make enough money, we will leave this place, I promise.”

It took two hard years of hustling to make enough to get out of there, and it was just in the nick of time. The earthquake had just happened. The entire city was in the midst of a huge riot. I was out on the corner when it happened, and I immediately went back home.

“Mother, it is time. We have to go.” I just knew that the longer we waited, the worse it was going to get. And being that we had just had a horrible national emergency, the U.S. welcomed us as refugees. My mother had a relative, a distant uncle who lived in Atlanta, and that is how i ended up here. What most people don’t know, aside from Evens, is that I have faked my way into school. I attended classes at Morehouse the same as all my fraternity brothers, but, my education came from the streets of Port au Prince, and Cite Soleil. When my father died, I had no choice but to be done with school. I would have been in grade nine, if I kept count. He always stressed me getting an education, so I didn’t have to end up like him, but, once he died, all I could do was try to provide for my mother and myself. I was glad she didn’t have to see the side of me that I showed on the street. I sometimes scared myself. I could be brutal if I needed to be, but, I always told myself that it was for my mother.

When my mother and I got to Atlanta, we had nothing. I had to work as a bus boy at a restaurant that my mother’s uncle was a cook at. I didn’t know anyone, and I would just work and come back home to the little two bedroom apartment that we shared with my mother’s uncle. I had no one to hang with, no one to partner with.

There was one time that I was working at the restaurant as a bus boy, and this hottie kept on eyeing me. I could tell that she liked what she was seeing. When I went clean up the table, I saw that she had left her number on her plate on a curled piece of paper.

I called that number the next day.

“Hello?”

I stammered out a “H-hello.” I said in my heavy Haitian accent.

“Who is this?”

“It’s the bus boy, from the…”

“Oh, you…” I could tell from her voice she knew exactly who I was.

I tried to play it cool, but, I knew nothing about girls. Her name was Thailan and she was half asian on her dad’s side, and black on her mother’s side. She was super hot, and I’ve always had a thing since for asian chicks, and bi-racial chicks. But I was just her little plaything. That bitch was crazy. She was already graduated and in her freshman year at college, so, I started hanging with her down at Spelman’s campus. She’d be all lovey dovey one second and then tell me that I was trying to control her the next. But that was the price you have to pay. The price for pussy. She pulled me in deep and I was pretty sure that I loved that bitch, but, then she’d go and be all batshit on me, and then I’d want to get the fuck out of there. I felt like she was holding all the cards and I was just reacting to all her shit. I tricked myself into thinking I loved her, but, that wasn’t for real. The only thing that I have to thank her for is that she helped me become a player. No woman was ever going to control me again. The only woman I could respect was my mother. Every other woman out there was just trying to play you, so, either play or get played. I guess I have one other thing to thank her for, she’s how I met Evens.

I begged Evens to stay at the party. It’s always good to have a wingman and we both had it down to a science. I got that nigga so much pussy, and he’s never thanked me once. Of course he’s always there to return the favor. I’d look at a him, point to a girl and say “Number 3.” He’d go over there and start hitting on this girl acting all drunk and start pawing at her. Then I’d come over and step in and act all chivalrous. I’d put on my accent extra thick, and I could see those panties coming off her as I spoke. It worked so often that I’d try to fuck it up just to make it interesting. It’s like playing a video game where you know where all the hidden shit is at, it just stops being fun after a while. Don’t get me wrong though, pussy’s still pussy, and I still love the shit out of it, but, sometimes it’s nice to have a challenge.

“C’mon, let’s bounce,” Evens said.

“Nah, I’ll stay. That chick’s got you fucked up.”

Evens didn’t say anything, he just dropped his cup and walked through the crowd out the door.

Damn, I couldn’t get that guy out of my head. Tamika and I spent the night in a hotel, because the dorms hadn’t opened yet. We arrived at Howard’s campus early that morning and started moving our things into our dorm room. Fortunately, Tamika and I had been able to room together. I didn’t know what I would do if I hadn’t had my bestie with me. I was scared to move to Atlanta, but, knowing that Tamika would be with me made it much easier to handle. I was still pissed about the night before when that bitch had stepped to me out of nowhere. I swear, I hadn’t done anything. It’s like I got a target on my back sometimes. Some fake bitches out there, just want to pick fights or something. I’m not sure. On top of being pissed about that bitch, I had Tamika to deal with. I can’t believe that she gave my number to that guy. He looked too old for me anyway. And I’m sure he wouldn’t want to be with a big girl. Especially, as fine as he was. He had to be 6’3, and ripped, he must have weighed 230 and, those dreads, OMG. Just thinking about him was getting me hot. I had to focus. There was too much to do before school started.

Tamika walked into the room carrying her Louis Vuitton bag, and another suitcase on wheels behind her.

“I’m exhausted, don’t know about you, but, I think it’s time for a break.”

“After we get all this organized, we should go to the mall.”

“Girl, you know I’m always up for that.”

That was no joke, that girl could fuck up some commas something fierce. “Alright, maybe in like an hour.”

When we got to the mall, I felt a little tired.I pulled my new Mustang carefully into the parking spot, and Tamika started freaking out.

“Holy shit, is that a Bentley.”

I got out of the car, and looked. A silver Bentley Continental convertible was parked right next to us. “Holy sh…”

Just then, I heard the car chirp, and saw the lights flash. “Hey, ladies, see something you like?”

And that’s when I turned around and saw him. I thought I was going to pass out. Tamika jumped in and said “Nice car. Hey, you look familiar.”

‘Of course he looks familiar,” I thought to myself, we just saw him last night.

He ignored Tamika, and turned his powerful gaze to me. “Hi, I’m Evens,” he said in a deep purr that made my nipples hard, and pussy wet. I couldn’t say anything. Here was this god of a man directing all his manliness directly at me.

“I—I…”
“She’s Dominica, and I’m Tamika.”

“I already know your name. I’ve been thinking about you all night.”

“C’mon Dom, we gotta go shopping.” I was about to smack Tamika. She grabbed my arm and started dragging me away. She whispered, “Don’t worry, he totally wants you. Make him want it a little bit more before giving in.”

Giving in was all I wanted to do by that point. His light eyes and mocha skin with those dreads. And his body, my goodness. I did my best to put a little wiggle into my step to show off my ass and hips. My skin tight jeans did they’re best to accentuate each step. I could feel him getting hard just watching me.

I was still in line waiting to buy a new Polo shirt. Evens was already out the door. He hadn’t stopped talking about that girl from the night before the whole morning. I told him to shut the fuck up, but he kept saying “you don’t understand, I’m gonna marry that girl.”

He sounded crazy to me. Girls are just after his money, as they are after mine. Only my mama gets my money. She’s the only one that deserves it.

I paid at the register, in cash, and started out the door. That’s when I saw those legs, and that face again. She reminded me a little of Thailan, with eyes that made her look Asian, but, I don’t think she was. My dick got hard immediately. She made eye contact with me, said “What up playa?” and then went right back to her friend. Something about the way she said it made my blood run cold. Like she could see right through me. I was just passing her when I realized who it was, and where I’d seen her before. I turned to say something, but she was already walking through the door.

Normally, bitches don’t make me nervous, but this one did. Man, the way she looked at me, something just was different. I wanted to run after her, at least get her digits, but I was afraid I’d look desperate. I promised myself after Thai that I’d never appear weak again. But, there she was again. I’d seen her at the party walking in the opposite direction, I should have gone after her then, but, hell no. I thought about it a little bit more, then I heard a car horn. I looked over to see Evens leaning out the window of his silver Bentley.
