Chapter Five- The Perfect Solution

The next few months were strange. Everyone on campus knew Mike's mother was marrying the coach. Everyone knew she was the coach’s daughter. So they would hear comments from people when they were talking in class like, is your sister helping you with your homework. They found that even going to have their usual dinners in the cafe or coffee was not a problem. Mike pointed it out to her a few weeks after the engagement was announced.

“It is weird but this might have helped us keep things quiet,” He said while they walked across the quad. They were careful never to hold hands or stand to close.

“How do you mean?” Violet had asked.

“No one expects us to date because we are going to be “related.” If this hadn't happened, everyone by now would say we are dating because we spend so much time together,” he said. She knew he was right. Of course it caused them problems because they had to come up with stories about where they were going separately and meet up somewhere different. The mystery was fun, making the arrangements were a little tedious. It turned out that his friend Jack was good at sneaky and had connected with Janey. They made a pretty impressive team.

Violet was also going to football games now. She had rarely gone before except to support her dad. Now she went and sat next to Marcie and watched her son, Violets lover, play football. He had become the starting quarter back in record time and was making all the right moves. Violet did not show all of her excitement for him, but she could for Marcie and her Father. The more she got to know Marcie, she loved her. She was perfect for her dad and was a great mom to Mike. Violet just did not need her for her mom. Janey had suggested breaking them up, but both Mike and she had vetoed it. Their parents were so happy, they couldn't do that to them. No idea was too weird for Janey.

By the time December came around Violet and Mike were about to explode. It was getting harder and harder to find alone time together. Then Mike suggested a family cabin. It was two hours away on the gulf coast. It had once belonged to his mom’s sister but since they passed Marcie had not wanted to go there. In fact, before she got her current job they had thought about selling it. Since they did not have to she had given the keys to Mike and told him it was his. Just don't do anything stupid. Then Jack and Janey had got imaginative.

Classes were done in the beginning of December. So if they wanted some time together all they had to do was have Violet tell her dad she was going on a week long road trip with Janey, and Mike would tell his mom he was going with Jack someplace for a week. Then Violet and Jack could go to the cabin. To make sure there was no possibility it would not work, Janey and Jack were leaving town together for a week. They had become a couple while arranging hookup time for their friends. Violet had to admit it was perfect.

Their long range plans were simple. Four years and they were out of college and they could take off. Violet could not leave earlier due to her degree. Mike had four years with Texas before he could go anywhere also. Once on their own they could do what they want. It was going to be a rough haul, but with the cabin they figured it would be much easier.

The cabin was beautiful to Violet. A little rustic but the electricity worked and the kitchen was functional.  They had sleeping bags, food, beer and wine. They were set for the week. The view of the gulf was spectacular. They spent the evenings on the porch in blankets with wine, a radio. In the morning the sun rise was a thing to behold. Violet had never imagined romance like this outside of a novel. The sound of the ocean and salty air added an ambiance she absolutely adored. No homework, no phone calls, just her and Mike. She had dreamed about days like this since they had first got together.

They took long walks on the beach. Mike admitted it was not something he had ever thought he would like, but with her, he never wanted to leave. It had made her cry with her happiness and she thought he might have shed a few tears as well. She did not mention it though. He was the quarterback on a division team, he had his male pride. That should stay intact she thought. He had nothing to worry about in the love making department that was for sure. The passion he ignited in her never got old or never any less. They seemed to be the spark that lit them mutually on fire.

She came out of the bedroom into the living room with a little fire going in a tiny negligee top and bottom. She had saved it for the final night in the cabin this trip. It was a silky gray that clung to her breasts and rear end perfectly leaving the rest of her bare except for stockings and a garter. His jaw had about hit the floor and she thought he broke out in a sweat. She felt amazingly sexy when she was around him, never more than that moment. She had her hair down of course and he loved that too.

She walked toward him, feeling a little nervous in such an outfit. She had never worn one before and Janey had helped her figure out how to wear it. He took her hand and led her to the blankets laid out in front of the fire. They knelt and he handed her a glass of wine and he took one himself.

“A toast to the most amazing woman on the planet. You make me feel like I deserve the praise I get. I can never belief how lucky I am to be with you,” he toasted and they sipped. Violet felt tears.

“To the most amazing man I the universe. You make me feel like the only woman I the world and is if I am a princess. I love you Mike,” she said.

“I love you Violet,” he said.

They snuggled and watched the fire for a while before their closeness, as always, ignited the inner fire. They kissed and Violet was amazed at the trail of tingling that ran to her toes when they did. He slipped the shoulder straps of her top off and she arched her back, ready for his hands and lips as she undid his trousers. This time she eased him backwards. She was going to come at him from the top. He grinned his appreciation.

She kissed his powerful chest and neck. Working her way up to her lips. She could feel his hardness under her as it grew to his wondrous proportions, as if he was made just for her.

Violet kept kissing and caressing his muscular body that she had come to know so well and realized she would never grow tired of this, or him. He was groaning and squirming under him as she was begging to squirm herself.

“Ah, oh baby I can't hold out much longer!” he told her gasping.

“A little more sweetheart, hold on, oh yeah baby, so big and ready for my. I am so wet for you, oh yes here we go!” she groaned out to him as she lifted her hops and he positioned himself. As soon as his tip entered her cavern she kissed his lips. As he was plunged into her, their eyes met as their tongues tangled. The explosion of their desire and true love seemed to grow again until when the force of it passed they were both gasping. She did not want to roll off of him. She could feel is now limp member inside her and she was comforted by that. They were together in love.

Chapter Six- Busted?

Violet received a text at seven in the morning and almost did not get it. Since she was up and making coffee anyway, she decided to at least see who it was. It was Janey, 911. She frowned and opened the text. The message read: We ran into your Dad and Mikes Mom. We think they know. You had better get home. Remember if you don't admit anything they can never be sure. That was it. She thought about calling her when her phone rang. She heard Mike’s phone rang in the bathroom. Her phone call was her dad. She hesitated but slid to answer.

              “Hello, Dad?” she asked.

“This is Dad, were you coming home today?” he asked. There was a curious tone she could not place and it made her nervous.

“Yeah, I was Dad what is up.” she asked.

“Bring Mike, we need to talk,” he said and hung up. Her father had never hung up on her in his life. Mike ran out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist.

“What the hell?” he was holding up his phone. She held up hers. He turned pale.

“Dad says to bring you home with me, we need to talk,” she said. He gestured at his phone and nodded the same.

They were dejected as they packed up and neatened the place up before leaving. They were hesitant but knew they had no choice. They held hands for most of the drive back. Reassuring themselves there was nothing that could split them up. They pulled into her Dad's driveway and looked at each other.

“Ready, we don't know for sure they know, but if they do we stay strong. Right Violet?” she nodded determined. They got out and walked up the drive. They did not walk side by side but as if nothing was wrong. The last several months had made them good at that. They went in and both parents were waiting in the living room. Her Dad gestured them to a seat. They both looked mad.

“Well, well, well...” her Dad began. She knew that was not a good sign. Mike did too, since he worked for the man.

“I really can't believe you Mike, I really can't,” Marcie said. Violet's hope was dwindling. They both just stared at them for several of the most uncomfortable seconds Violet had ever felt. Then she noticed her dad’s shoulders beginning to shake. Then Marcie lips twitched and soon they both started laughing. Violet looked at Mike bemused.

“I am sorry I can't do it. If you two don't take the cake!” Marcia said laughing. Violet's Dad agreed.

“I can't believe Mike that you would take a part of your break to work on a wedding gift for us. After as hard as you worked this season. You almost got us to the play offs. Further than we have been in years. Yet you still will work with Violet to do this,” he was shaking his head, walked over to Mike and shook his hand. Marcie came over to Violet.

“Thank you dear. I know the time you spend on your studies. Being willing to fix up the old cabin for us is..  thank you!” She exclaimed and broke into tears of happiness. She engulfed Violet in a hug and over her Marcie's shoulder she could see Mike was being hugged by her Dad. He mouthed silently to her.
I am going to kill Jack and Janey!

They managed to keep their composure and go along with it. They had breakfast with them and talked about renovating ideas. Violet did like the idea and through talking with Marcie gained an understanding of what she would like to make it her own and not her sister’s old place. She figured between her and Mike they should be able to do a good job on the place. Of course than meant that her and Mike would have to find another hideaway. When Violet and Mike left they breathed a sigh of relief, they had survived this time!

THE END

Thug Love

Dominica

“I swear, mamma, I’ll make sure to call you as soon as I get moved in,” my mother was always trying to protect me(boys, drugs, whatever). Reasoning with her was not an option.

She had been worried all summer long. She knew that this was coming. She had been right next to me when I’d opened the acceptance letter from Howard University. We had jumped up and down hugging each other when I read that I’d be receiving a full academic scholarship. I hadn’t been valedictorian, I was runner-up, salutatorian, they call it, but, I knew and Precious knew that it was based upon a technicality. My father had gotten sick during my senior year, and, not knowing if he was going to live, I spent many days with him in the hospital. He was hooked up to machines, not breathing on his own. Well, if it hadn’t been for my father’s illness, I wouldn’t have missed that test, and well, it was a large portion of my grade. And when I did take the test, frankly, I hadn’t studied because of all the stress, so, ta-daahh, I give you our valedictorian, Precious Walker. I’m not going to use the ‘b’ word, but, I wanted to. She was always trying to pull me down to her level. Congrats, Precious, you won on a technicality.

My father and mother did their best to console me on this fact, but it was of no use. Coming from the house of two high achievers like they were, it was a tough pill to swallow. My mother is assistant district attorney for the city of Detroit, and apparently, she’s a badass. My dad is a chemist, working for Pfizer. He’s made them a lot of money over the years. His travels all over the world to find the craziest compounds have made him a bit of a celebrity in the science community.

My parents have always supported me, as long as it was in relation to school, but, being an only child was tough. I constantly felt like I was being protected from everyone and everything. It was time for me to spread my wings and fly. I was scared, but excited about the prospect of leaving home.

I was hauling my bags down the stairs when I encountered my mom. “You’re sure I can’t change your mind? University of Michigan is a good school, and close.”

“Mama, I’m going to Atlanta.”

“It’s just so far. Ann Arbor’s close. Just think about it.”

“I already have, Mama.”

She cast a strong silhouette, statuesque and striking as she was. “I know, Dom, but a mother can still try, can’t she?”

I hugged my mother, and made my way down to my dad’s den. He was holding a book in his hand, inspecting the spine, his back facing me.

I knocked “Daddy?”

He looked up and smiled. “Hey honey. You almost ready?”

“Yeah, Tamika’s on her way.”

“We could drive you.”

“I’ll be fine.”
“You going make your daddy proud, right?” He looked so handsome, staring at me, I could see why Mama had fallen so hard for him. I inherited his light eyes, that looked so stark against his dark skin.

“Of course, Daddy.”

“And those boys?”

“Daddy, no boys want to hang out with me anyway.”

I didn't have much confidence. I was what you would refer to as a plus size. Unfortunately, I hadn't taken after my mother. It's not that I had a big ass stomach. It was just the rest to me. Big boned, I’ve been called. I have some pretty big tits (DD). My hips and my ass, I’ve gotten some compliments on. But, I haven’t really ever had a long-term boyfriend. My friends have told me that I have nice features. Between my dads hazel eyes, and my mothers cheekbones, I've done alright. I just don’t know where this ass, and tits came from, though. Oh well, I’m a big girl. J-Lo would kill for this ass. Oh, I forgot to mention the freckles. Yep, freckles. WTF?

I’ve always been big, and though I’ve never necessarily had a complex about it, I wouldn’t say that I was brimming with confidence. On top of the fact that I was a “light skinned, freckly freak”  according to one boy in my third grade class, I had a healthy bit of disdain for my appearance. When high school came around and all the girls were trying out for cheerleading, I wondered how I was going to spend my free time. Somewhere in my freshman year, I met my best friend, Tamika.

“Bitch get out of my way, you fat ho.” This skinny ass girl that I barely knew had just bumped into me.

“Excuse me?”

“You heard me you fat bitch.” All her friends were staring and laughing.

“Oh, you want a piece of this? You couldn’t handle this.” I grabbed my tits and squeezed them hard. “Jealous?”

Jeniece  came at me, I put up my hand to block her fist, and then there was a flash, as she hit me in the eye. I leaned over, preparing to get kneed in the face, and then, Jeniece was being pulled by her straight ass hair to the floor. Tamika was straight smacking that bitch with both hands, back and forth. I pulled Tamika off of her. She shot me a look of anger and climbed off of Jeniece.

“This bitch is mine!! Don’t fuck with her, or she won’t save you next time.”
Jeniece was still on the floor, her friends surrounding her.

“Let’s go, before the principal comes.”
“Fuck that old man. Tamika, by the way.”

I looked at her questioningly.

“Tamika, it’s my name, bitch. And you’re welcome.”

She’s been my best friend ever since.

I heard the horn honk, and realized I had been zoning out. I looked out through the front window to see a brand new Ford Mustang sitting in the driveway, it’s bright red paint lighting up the entire neighborhood.

“What the fuck? Where’d this come from? It’s beautiful.”

She popped the trunk, “Bitch, put your stuff in the trunk, and stop asking so many stupid questions.”

Tamika lived by her own rules, she had matured early, into a 5’8 beauty. Always the center of attention, I often found myself jealous of her perfect milk chocolate skin, her skinny waist, and her beautiful, pouty lips. Her hips would make movie stars jealous. She’s got eyes that makke her look a little bit Asian too. She also smart as. The entire package. Her outspoken nature often got her into trouble, but, just as easily got us into plenty of situations that my parents wouldn’t have approved of. Fortunately, she was such a charmer with my parents, that they never suspected a thing.  She was the one person they didn’t protect me from. I used to tell them that I was spending the night over her house on Saturday, so I didn’t have to go to church on Sunday morning. Tamika always made sure that we had any sermon notes that they handed out at church.

I sat in the front seat. “You have to tell me how you got this car.”
“I told you, stop asking so many questions. We gotta get to the airport.”

I waved to my parents and blew them kisses as they stood on the front porch.

Tamika restrained herself from peeling out. When we hit the highway though, she punched it.

Tamika

What up, y’all. I’m Tamika, and I’m one badass bitch. Just playin’. But, for real, I’m pretty badass, if I do say so myself. Shit was rough growing up, but I did okay. And now that i’m going off to college, this banging ass bitch is ready to get the fuck out of the D. it's not that i don’t love the D, just with all my mama’s skeezy boyfriends around, i never had anytime to myself. Especially with my mama working two jobs. But the guy she’s got around now is better than the one that she had when I was fifteen.  Cyril. At least Ty has never tried anything on me. I guess I have Cyril to thank for my attitude. He’s the reason I don’t take any shit from anyone. Just ask my homegirl, Dominica.

Mama made sure that I had what I needed, I wasn’t neglected, by any stretch. But, my mom wasn’t assistant D.A. and my dad, well, I don’t even know who the fuck he was, so, there’s that. My mom got pregnant in high school, but, she graduated. And she went to one of those schools you see on t.v. for people in the medical field. A medical assistant. That’s what she was, but, then something happened, I don’t know what, and she said she didn’t need that job anymore, and then she started working a lot more. Still, she made sure I looked good, stuntin on all those hoes down at school.

If Dom was booksmart, I would be considered, smart smart. I had the book smarts, but, I wasn’t stupid about what the fuck was going on either. Street smarts. I had those too. Dominica was always getting shit. I don’t know why I think because she was smart and didn’t try to hide it, but most of the time she didn’t even know when some bitch was about to come up on her. She didn’t know how to defend herself, and I could see from far away that she needed someone to have her back. Plus I loved smacking the taste out of some bitch’s mouths. Those skinny bitches loved to make fun of Dom for her body, but, my girl’s body is sick. She’s short, but, she’s got curves other girls would kill for.

I have her to thank for lighting a fire underneath my hot ass. Like I said, I’m smart, but, in school i didn’t give a fuck. Dom was constantly making sure that I was getting my homework done. Her parents made sure that she knew that she was going to college. My mom said she didn’t have the money to send me to college anyway. But once I started hanging with Dom, my mom saw how much I started giving a shit, and told me that if I wanted to go to college, she’d figure out some way to make it happen. Dom was always there to make sure that I got my work done. If I didn’t get something. She’d spend the extra time to make sure that I got it. I’d try to give her advice on guys that she liked. I was a little more “experienced” when it came to that type of thing. And being that I always had some guy coming after me, I took advantage of those experiences. Dom is still a virgin. Me, not so much. But, other than telling Dom I keep that shit to myself.

I wasn’t always this way, though. Remember how I said I couldn’t wait to leave Detroit? Well, when you still live in the room where you were raped, it’s hard to forget it. I was only sixteen and my mama’s creepy ass boyfriend took his shot.

I had just gotten home from school and was real tired that day. Cyril, my mama’s boyfriend at the time was had let himself in which wasn’t uncommon. I told him that I was going to go take a nap.

“Need any company?” he asked, with a stupid ass grin on his face.

“Excuse me?”

He must have realized how appalled I was by the insinuation, because he backpedaled “Just playin’, settle down girl.” His smile was creeping me out, and the way he watched me cross the room was making me feel nauseous.

I laid down in the bed, putting my backpack next to the bed, and closed my eyes. I should have locked the door, the way Cyril was eyeing me, but, I was too naive to think that he’d actually do something.

I woke up to him on top of me, and the pain was unbearable. I screamed at the top of my lungs, his sweaty hand reached to cover my mouth. I bit down hard, and tasted the blood. I was scrambling to grab anything when my hand landed on my bookbag. I swung it hard and fast, and smacked that asshole right upside his creepy bald ass head. I must have hit him just right, because I felt him immediately go slack. I kept screaming, and crying, trying to push his fat ass off of me, but he was too heavy. That’s when mama came home.

“Oh my god, darling, what is going on here?”

She could tell by my tears and screaming that Cyril had come at me, not the other way around. I was scared she wouldn’t believe me. “I always would believe my baby over any man,” was what she said.

Well, that asshole is in Jackson prison, or maybe better, dead now. Fuck that man, taking my innocence. That’s why I never trust no one with my heart these days. You don’t know who you’re dealing with. Sure, I like to have fun, but, sometimes I wish I was more like Dom.

“Hey, bitch that’s our exit, now we gotta turn around.” Dom looked pissed.

I kept driving.

“Did you hear me?”

“Yeah, bitch. I did.”

“You gonna turn around, or what?”

Just then Dom’s phone rang. “Hi Daddy,” she looked over at me “No, she just passed the exit. Now we gotta turn around. I hope we’re not going to be late.”

I kept driving knowing what was coming.

“You what?” Dom looked at me with a look of disbelief. “No, Daddy. You didn’t”

I already knew the news.

She hung up and turned to me. “Pull over, bitch. I’m driving.”

“Your car.”

“Roadtrip!!” Dom exclaimed.

I hated talking on the phone while driving. Especially when I was driving my Bentley. That’s how I wrecked the last one. But this was important. It always was when Junior called. Junior was my uncle, but he was also my business partner, supplier.

When I was just 5 years old, we moved. My father, my mother and me. We moved to Jamaica.
