The Luxor is an enormous, magnificent hotel, shaped like a pyramid of Egypt. A replica of the Great Sphinx marks the entrance. The tip of the pyramid hosts a fixed position spotlight that points directly upwards, and is claimed to be the brightest beam in the whole world at over 42 billion candlepower.

Draylon and Paul made their way past the Great Sphinx with their jaws dropped in awe of the absolutely stunning and huge structure. As they entered the building they came to a halt and their jaws opened further. Inside, the pyramids atrium is so large that you could fit nine Boeing 747 aeroplanes. They then checked in to the hotel, and made their way to the inclinators that travel along the inner surface of the pyramid at a 39-degree angle.

Once at their room they both crashed out on their beds, Paul was exhausted from all of the travelling of late. Draylon was looking around at all of the Egyptian themed furnishings, which included statues, tapestry and faux trees.

“This place is extraordinary,” said Draylon.

“It gives me the willies,” said Paul.

“I'm sorry. We could always stay at a different hotel?”

“No, I love it, really I do. I was just thinking about our last trip to a pyramid.”

“I assure you, this time the outcome will be different; we are here to have a good time.”

“Amen to that.”

“Did you know that Luxor is a city in Egypt? Also, Luxor was the ancient city of Thebes. It is known as one of the world's greatest open air museums, as the ruins of temples stand within the modern city.”

“I did not know that. I'm hungry! Shall we dine my knowledgeable friend?”

“Absolutely,” said Draylon.

They made their way out onto The Strip. Every direction was buzzing with people having a great time. The lights were a brilliant spectacle, especially the beam of light that was projecting into space from the top of the Luxor in which they were staying. The place was out of this world and Draylon loved it. The contrast between Easter Island and Las Vegas was enormous, but both held a very special place in Draylon's heart.

Paul pointed out a coffee shop that sold sandwiches and pastries, and they decided to go in. Paul was tired from all of the travelling and wanted very much to have a good night's sleep, so they ordered light. Draylon chose two lattes and a bagel, and Paul ordered a pot of tea and a pastry. When they had finished, Paul decided to head back to the hotel to get forty winks. Draylon wanted to take a look around.

David Hilton was a short stocky middle-aged man. He had scruffy brown hair combed down on all sides, what is known as, a bowl cut. He was on a week's break in Vegas, visiting from the UK with a couple of friends. He had dreamed of a holiday in Vegas for years, and had saved like mad, working every hour God sent in his local supermarket as a cashier. David was a kind fellow, and would never say a bad word about anyone. He was the sort of person that would sacrifice his own happiness to help another.

David and his two friends, Barry and Ollie, were staying at Caesars palace. They had decided to go to New York-New York casino for a night out. David had become tired and decided that he would take a stroll back to the hotel and enjoy all of the pretty lights. He didn't like to leave money in the hotel, so he had everything in his wallet. He walked past an alley and heard someone call. He stopped to take a look, and someone grabbed him, instantly threatening to take his life if he tried to alert anyone.

David begged and begged for the large masked man to let him go. The masked man became outraged at all of the begging and punched David in the stomach. David fell to his knees and the man pulled him back up.

“Give me your wallet!” said the masked man, pulling out a large blade.

“OK, OK, please don't hurt me. You can have my wallet, and anything you want. Please don't hurt me, I beg of you.”

David handed the wallet to the man and broke down in tears. All David had was his mother back home, and he loved her very much. He couldn't stand the thought of not seeing her again, he didn't want to die. He said a silent prayer to God, begging to live.

Draylon overheard a conversation in a back alley. He heard a male voice asking for a wallet. He then tucked into the shadows out of sight. He then put his right hand over the wristband, and using his technopathic ability he activated his outfit. The wristband expanded at speed and enveloped Draylon; he looked like a dark warrior. The amulet logo was like a scar on his chest, a symbol of hope. The costume clung to every muscle, his jaw line chiselled, and his eyes an amazing blue.

He shot down the alleyway at a ferocious speed, where he noticed two men. The attacker held a large blade in one hand and a wallet in the other, and the middle aged male victim was pleading for his life. In a fraction of a second Draylon stood between the two men. The attacker panicked and lunged at Draylon with the blade. Draylon held up his hand to block the blow. As the knife made contacted with Draylon's hand, he manipulated matter to turn the blade into a useless metallic lump. The attacker then pulled a gun, and squeezed the trigger. The bullet deflected off Draylon's super enhanced body.

“What are you?” said the attacker.

“Justice!” said Draylon, knocking the man clean out with the right application of strength, so as not to cause any permanent damage.

Draylon then reached down and retrieved the wallet from the attacker and handed it to the middle aged man.

“Thank you so much, I think you just saved my life.”

“You are welcome. Are you hurt?”

“A bit shaken, but I'm fine. Who are you?”

“I'm a friend. What is your name?”

“My name is David.”

Draylon asked David to call the emergency services, and said that he'd wait until they arrived. When they arrived Draylon shot off into the night sky, and was gone from sight. David looked up into the sky, “How am I going to explain that to the police,” he said in a whisper.

Draylon landed near the Luxor in the shadows. He then placed his right hand to his left wrist and the costume retracted to a wristband once again. Draylon then made his way to the hotel room. As he entered the room he noticed Paul was fast asleep, so he was as quiet as he could be getting into bed. He was happy, he was helping people and making a difference, he felt a satisfaction that he was now on his path, and becoming who he was supposed to be. It felt natural to him.

Draylon was laid in bed thinking, when he realised that the bullet had not damaged his costume at all. The material is self-repairing, and it always goes back to its programmed form, but it did not need to. Draylon realised that the material must be protected by his own virtually invulnerable molecular structure. He figured that it must be like an invulnerable aura around him that protects that which is close to his skin, and the material of his costume is skin-tight.

Draylon's brain activity eventually started to slow, he then yawned, closed his eyes and went out like a light.

Chapter Eleven – The Last Supper

It was the evening of Monday the 11th of July. Draylon took a long shower, and then got himself dressed in his best blue jeans, a blue T-shirt, and a pair of Nike trainers. He planned on surprising Adriana and taking her out for a meal.

“How do I look?” asked Draylon whilst applying gel to his brown spiky hair.

“You look like a new man,” said Paul smiling, as he was used to seeing Draylon in virtually the same clothes every day.

“Thank you Paul. Now are you going to be safe here on your own?” said Draylon grinning.

“I shall be fine, don't you worry. Maybe I'll go to the IMAX cinema and get a large popcorn.”

“Good for you my friend. I'll be off now. Wish me luck.”

“Good luck! Say hello to Adriana for me.”

Draylon left the building and made his way into the shadows out of sight. He then activated his outfit and shot into the sky like an arrow, destination Easter Island.

He arrived at Adriana's home, deactivated his outfit, and then knocked on the door. To his surprise, it was Adriana that answered, and she swung her arms around Draylon and held him tight.

“I have missed you so much,” said Adriana.

“I have missed you too. I have come to ask you out on a date, tonight, if you're not busy.”

“Tonight would be perfect. What should I wear?”

“Come as you are. You look so beautiful.”

Adriana was wearing a short black dress, and her long brown hair shone and gently bounced as she moved. Her eyes were a perfect brown, and seductive. Draylon was captivated by her, and breathed her in deep.

Adriana stepped out of the door and gently closed it. She then took Draylon's hand and they strolled off into the starlit night. After a short while Draylon stopped and gently held Adriana by the waist. He looked into her eyes and lost himself. He leaned in and gently kissed her lips. His heart was doing cartwheels, and he enjoyed the sensation, he was deeply in love with her.

Adriana was having one of the best nights of her life. She felt her life come to a pause when she was with Draylon. Everything stops spinning, and it all makes sense. There is nothing more that she wanted than to spend her life with Draylon, and she prayed with all of her heart and soul that it would one day be so.

“Adriana.”

“Yes Draylon.”

“There is nothing that I want more than to be with you. And I want you to know that as soon as it is safe for it to be so; I will come for you, if you would still have me.”

“I will always want you. And I will wait until that day, however long that be.”

Adriana was ecstatic; she had longed so much to hear those words. Now that she knew that one day they would be together, she felt at peace, and content, as if her whole world had suddenly fit together, and everything was in perfect harmony.

They then made their way to the Rongorongo Inn. When they got there they found a secluded table with a couple of candles lit. The setting was perfect, and the light gave everything in the close vicinity a flawless sheen. When the waitress arrived, they ordered their meals, and both opted for a glass of red wine. Draylon took Adriana's hand.

“What a perfect night,” said Draylon.

“To think I was going to get an early night,” Adriana chuckled. “This was unexpected, but often the best nights are.”

“I noticed you're still wearing the ring that I made for you.”

“It's my most favourite thing in the world, I never take it off.”

Their glasses of wine and their meals arrived. They both conversed at length, taking their time over their meals, so that the evening could last as long as possible. Hours went by, and the Inn was starting to close up for the night. They left the Inn and took a walk down to the ocean's edge.

It was a warm evening, and the sky was a blanket of stars beautifully lit. Draylon took Adriana in his arms and held her tight. They both looked out to the horizon, taking in the beautiful scene. Adriana closed her eyes, enjoying the warmth of Draylon's cheek against hers.

“I love you Draylon. With all my heart.” said Adriana looking into Draylon's bright blue eyes.

“I love you too Adriana. You complete me,” said Draylon touching his forehead lightly to hers.

“We should get back, it's getting very late, and poor me has to work tomorrow.”

“I've lost track of time completely, I'm sorry, let's get you home,” said Draylon smiling.

When they arrived at Adriana's front door, they embraced, and breathed each other in deeply. Adriana pulled Draylon close, and kissed him softly, pouring all of her heart and soul into the most magical kiss of their lives. Adriana gently let go of Draylon's hand, and opened her door. She turned to face Draylon.

“Goodnight my prince, I love you so much.” Adriana kissed her hand and gently blew Draylon a kiss.

Draylon smiled, “I love you more. I'll see you again soon, I promise.”

Adriana closed the door. Draylon felt better than he had ever felt in his whole life, he was completely and utterly in love. He walked away slowly, activating his outfit as he moved. He then gently flew off into the night looking down at Adriana's home, until it was out of sight. He then shot off into the sky like a supernova, back to Vegas, back to his bed in the Luxor, trying his best not to wake up Paul. He then closed his eyes and drifted off into a blissful sleep, thinking of Adriana.

Adriana went straight up to her room, smiling as she went. She felt warm and fuzzy, and was so in love, more so than she ever knew possible. She took off her clothes and climbed into bed. She gently touched the ring that Draylon had made for her, and shed a tear, overwhelmed by her happiness. She then closed her eyes, and slipped into a magical sleep, full of all of her hopes and dreams.

Chapter Twelve – A Busy Night

The following evening Paul decided that he would take the DeLorean out for a spin, and Draylon decided to take a look around Las Vegas, to see if he was needed anywhere.

Paul went out to his shining silver chariot. He opened the gull-wing door and climbed in. The upholstery had been polished and it smelled like new. He closed the door down and put the key in the ignition. He turned it. The DeLorean roared violently with power, growling at all other predators, like the new Porsche and Ferrari that were parked in close proximity. Paul smiled with satisfaction. He then connected his MP3 player and selected a play list. He was ready. He spun out onto the open road toward Area 51, as the road was open, and he wanted to see what the car could really do.

Satan was a well groomed jet black Great Dane. He was taking a walk around Las Vegas with his master, when his eyes set upon a crafty looking cat. He gave chase, pulling the reins right out of his master's hands. Needless to say the mischievous feline escaped, prancing effortlessly here and there, up and down buildings. Satan gave up chase, reluctantly, giving in to the sly kitty.

Satan looked around. He didn't know where he was, and didn't know how to find his master. His tummy rumbled and he became upset, how was he to find home? He ran back and forth, sniffing and looking for the slightest hint of his owner. Nothing!
