Block stitch: Working over the bar of the last dc just made yo and pick up a loop 4 times (9 loops on hook), pick up a loop in same sp, yo, draw through all 10 loops on hook, holding this last loop on hook, pick up a loop in same sp, ch 2, yo, draw through both loops remaining on hook (the ch-2 just made counts as the dc completing the block stitch cluster).

With A, ch 6, join with a SI st to form a ring.

RND 1:
With A, ch 5 (counts as dc, ch 2), [1 dc, ch 2] 7 times in ring, SI st in 3rd ch of beg ch-5 (8 ch-2 sps). Fasten off A.

RND 2
: With right side facing, join B in any ch-2 sp, ch 3 (counts as a dc here and throughout), 1 dc in same ch-2 sp, work block stitch over last dc just made (block st cluster made), [2 dc, block st] in each ch-2 space around, join with a SI st in 3rd ch of beg ch-3 (8 block stitch clusters made). Fasten off B.

RND 3:
Join C with a SI st in any space between 2 dc (one dc is conventional dc, 1 dc is created by the ch-2 at end of block st cluster), *ch 5, 1 sc in next sp between 2 dc, rep from * 7 times more, join with a SI st to beg SI st (8 ch-5 spaces).
