“Zachary, I’m sorry that your eye hurts. It is part of your development.” He pressed into his wrist, still laughing, trying to gain control of himself.

“Greetings, Xzion. You do realize what time it is here, correct? I’m enjoying the rare luxury of sleeping,” Aton said harshly, though Xzion knew the man was happy to hear from him.

“Yes, and my apologies to you, Aton, for waking you from your slumber. I have some important news, however.”

“About the Yuledrakes?” Aton yawned.

“No. About Zachary.” There was a brief pause. Aton was obsessed with his son. He wanted to know how he was developing and changing. The boy intrigued him to no end. No one had ever seen a half human, half Zarkstormian before and he was a scientific sensation.

“Yes.” He smirked, knowing Aton was tryin
g to curb his enthusiasm. “Please tell me.”

“Remember when we ran tests and it appeared he was demonstrating more human than Zarkstormian traits, from a physical standpoint?”

“Yes. He also does not carry immediate warrior traits.”

“Right, but something inside of me, even from the first day he was born, told me otherwise. I’ve been watching him very closely, Aton, and something incredible is going on. In fact I believe he is more warrior than first assessed. Guess what I discovered?”

“What?” He knew the man really wanted to scream,
‘Damn you! Tell me! Don’t keep me waiting!’

“He has a laser lens. It is in the beginning development stages.”

“But…you all are
born
with the laser. It is there upon birth and gets stronger as the years pass.”

“Yes, but remember, his human chromosomes and traits are in competition with the Zarkstormian ones, and vice versa. You cannot only compare him to me; you must compare him to my mate, as well. You see, human eyes continue to develop. They reach a peak of optimum strength, and then weaken with age. Zarkstormians are the opposite. Our eyesight gets better and better with time. That includes the Intellects, such as yourself.”

“Correct. So you believe there is latency in development and the establishment of chords?”

“Precisely. The laser was always there, just extremely tiny and more than likely hidden in the back of the eye. That is where I discovered it. My theory is that it will come forward and be correctly placed. I believe by the time he is three years old, it will be fully developed. He has already demonstrated sensitivity to bright light. We know that is a warrior Zarkstormian trait. He didn’t show that initially, but over the past week and a half, he is showing displeasure towards it. Also, the nodule on the back of his neck hasn’t gone away…”

“Jayme expressed great concerns about that.” Aton sighed.

“Yes, and I explained to her that Zarkstormian warrior babies developed a knot on the back of our necks, like that of a small mosquito bite, at approximately three weeks old. Zachary never developed it until three months ago and it is still there… He is Warrior, Aton.” Xzion grinned wider. “It is just showing up late. He is a half human, half Zarkstormian Warrior child with Zarkstormian intellect!” Xzion laughed with joy, clasping his hands as his son continued to lie there, unmoved by the conversation. “This is truly amazing!”

“The
entire
situation is amazing, Xzion. The fact that he was conceived, made it to term and was born healthy proves he beat the odds. Is there any chance I may get to see the child? It’s been so long.” Xzion laughed. Aton was acting like a grandfather, and it pleased him.

“Of course, Aton. I’m still working on a way for Jayme to visit Zarkstorm at least once in her lifetime and I would like to bring Zachary with me as well so that everyone may meet him. Please just allow me more time to figure out how to ensure they are both safe during their travel and can arrive home in the same manner once the trip is complete. I am making a lot of headway, but I need more time.”

“Why, of course. I was willing to come there, actually, but if you’d prefer to wait, that is fine.” He didn’t miss the disappointment in Aton’s tone.

“Well.” Xzion caressed Zachary’s arm affectionately, eliciting a small smile from the child. “I tell you what. Let’s talk about this further in the near future. I’m sure a visit from you, Aton, may be advantageous. Besides, if the Yuledrakes know you’re here, even for a short spell that will send fear in them. They are terrified of you.”

Aton laughed lightly. “Not enough to stop whatever it is they are planning, unfortunately. Regardless, I respect your wishes regarding your son but please let me know when I may arrange a visit, especially before things gets out of hand with the Yuledrakes. They will no doubt escalate their efforts in the near future.”

“Of course they will.” Xzion narrowed his eyes. “The only reason they haven’t right this moment is because I’m here. Something tells me, Aton, you will need to pay a visit before this is all said and done, anyway.”

“I concur. I will speak to you soon, and tell your mate I said ‘Hello.’”

And with that, Aton disconnected the call.

Xzion swallowed and closed his wrist. He leaned over his son to hug him a bit tighter. Suddenly, he felt more protective over the little guy, as if the power welling inside of the infant was now in need of security.

“Zachary.” The boy slowly turned towards him. His big, dark brown eyes glassy and pure, full of life and light. “I love you very much. I will
never
be ashamed to tell you that. I love your mother very much, too, more than I think she realizes at times. I don’t just want your mother. I
need
her. She is the reason I can talk to you like this, to express myself. There are things going on inside of you that you can’t understand just yet. There are things going on in the world you live in that you can’t understand, but I will never let anyone hurt you or your mother, do you understand me?” He touched his own chest, covering his heart with the spread of his fingers.

Zachary nodded, moving his head slowly up and down.

“It is my job, my purpose, to protect and serve my family and my people…and that is exactly what I’m going to do…”

As long as I have my son and Jayme, I don’t need anyone else. Anyone who jeopardizes that will die. There will be no discussions. No empathy. No tears. Only death…

Jayme walked into the darkened house at two in the morning. The faint smell of rubbing alcohol entered her nostrils. She grinned at the all too familiar odor.

Xzion has been in his lab…

She immediately cut off the alarm, then stifled a scream as Xzion’s tall, muscular form loomed beside her. He appeared as if spit out of a cloud of dusky smoke.

He whispered low in her ear, “Shhhh….” Then he led her gently away, their fingertips barely touching as he stayed two steps ahead of her. As they passed a series of blue lights in the hall, her eyes adjusted. She soon realized the man was stark naked. His tight ass clenched with each stroll of his confident stride, his steps commanding yet soft against the hard wood floor. They passed their son’s room, and as if on cue, he pushed his free palm against their bedroom door, opening it. A soft, romantic glow of pink light emerged and flirted with their forms. Jayme came around him, her purse half off her shoulder and her lips slightly apart.

“You didn’t…you couldn’t…” Speechless, she turned from left to right, then in circles. The entire bedroom had been redecorated. Jayme hadn’t had a chance to put her special touch on the place, but nothing she dreamt of could have surpassed this. Gone were the stark white lights, walls and hard, silver and stone furniture. The walls were now covered in wine quilted material that looked as luxurious as it felt. She ran her fingertips across it, her heart beating faster and faster. A muted gold quilted headboard looked as if it were carved into the wall. The bed was covered in matching wine and gold sheets with a thick comforter and chocolate throw pillows. The new end tables, void of ice drawers, were chocolate and tan with gold accents and clear globe vases that gave a touch of modernism in the romantic environment. She glanced up at the ceiling and spoke softly, tripping over her own voice.

“…You even changed the light fixture. It’s just gorgeous, Xzion.” A small crystal chandelier hung above her, catching the light of the flickering pink candles on the nearby vanity. He remained quiet as he leaned against the wall, allowing her space and time to take it all in. She sat on the opulent golden seat at the foot of the bed and curled her legs under herself, as if she needed comfort. Xzion slid his foot from the wall and approached her. He sat next to her and ran his long nose against her cheek. She sighed in his embrace, the weight of the world melting from her body as he pressed his palm into her back, drawing her closer into him. The scent of his skin, musky and fresh, titillated her to the point that her tired body seemed to forget its state of being. He lifted her chin, forcing her to look into his haunting, dark eyes.

“You told me tomorrow was fine.” She grinned and slowly closed her eyes, while wrapping her hand tenderly around the back of his neck. “You had this planned all along.”

“I did, yes,” he said matter-of-factly, a small, crooked smile on his clean-shaven face.

“I know we’ve been, well, not together like that in a while.” She sighed and looked away from him. “The room is beautiful, Xzion. If this was your way to remind me of the passion in our lives, then you’ve surely done a bang up job.”

“Thank you.” His voice rumbled close to her ear as he caressed the back of her hair.

“How was Zachary today?” She leaned back from him, trying to stifle a yawn as she removed her coat and set her purse down. She didn’t miss the growing hard on between his legs. Her body sent her mixed messages. She was utterly exhausted yet hungry for his loving.

“He was good, real good…” he said huskily as he gripped the back of her neck and caught her lips with his own. He licked and sucked them, drawing a slight moan from her before probing his tongue deep inside of her awaiting mouth. In the quiet of the room, she could only hear the man’s breathing and the sounds of his mouth diligently searching her own. Large fingers trailed down her neck and collar bone. With due diligence, he began the process of undoing the minuscule buttons of her navy blue shirt. Soon he ran his fingers over her lacy black bra. It pushed her breasts together, and from the hunger in his eyes, he loved the fit. His kisses became more urgent, his stroking of her nipples more determined as he maneuvered himself impossibly closer to her form, devouring her with his mouth, his love, his devotion.

She moaned as he pulled away from her and undid her pants, tugging at the zipper as if it had in some way wronged him. They stood, facing one another. Before she could form another thought, her clothing puddled at her ankles, and she stepped out of the outfit that had clung to her skin for hours. She felt relieved to be free, despite the slight chill in the room. They could never agree on the temperature to have in the house. Even though Xzion’s brain no longer overheated, he still was a colder being. She liked it toasty, especially during the brutal winter, but Xzion feigned hot flashes, going into dramatics that he’d melt. He’d typically let her have her way, and tonight, she just knew he’d warm her up regardless, so she kept her objections at bay.

He grabbed her hand and placed it on his rock hard cock with no apologies. She looked down at it, becoming reacquainted with the long, thick member covered in knobby veins. As she ran her fingers up and down his generous length, she looked at his hooded eyes. He swayed slightly to the right, thrusting his hips back and forth ever so gently, bumping the fleshy head of his dick against her grip.

“Mmmm,” he moaned, throwing his head back as if he’d cum right then and there. “Stroke it, baby. Rub both of your hands on my dick.” He didn’t give her a chance to comply to his wishes, but simply grabbed the woman’s hands and placed them how he wanted them. He fucked her hands, as if her palms were the pussy he so desperately wanted to fuck. His cock heavy in her hands, Jayme dropped to her knees and did what she wanted to do since seeing him naked tonight. She took him in her mouth, deeper and deeper. On a groan, he gripped the back of her head.

“Uhhhh, uhhhhh…” he moaned as he leisurely thrust in and out of her mouth. “Too long…it’s been too fucking long, honey.”

I know…

Too much time had passed when she found herself with her fingers in her pants at her desk, not recalling how they had even got there. His voice on the phone would have aroused her so, and a faded memory of the man frantically fucking her against the wall of their bedroom before Zachary awoke one fair morning made her almost have an orgasm… while a pile of papers soared haphazardly on her desk. She’d need a better lock on that little office for such a thing could occur again, and she’d rather be safe than sorry.

He pulled out of her mouth, gripping the base of his cock. She looked up at him, still on her knees, worshiping him from a short distance. Again, he gripped the back of her head, forcing his saturated, warm cock back inside of her mouth. His knees buckled as she took control, relished him,  and orally fucked him to perfection.

“Uhhhh!” He stumbled back, taking her with him, his eyes partially closed and a look of pure euphoria on his face. Her knees, once touching the soft, new carpet he’d installed, were now off the ground and up in the air. Xzion held her around the waist, made her feel as if she were sitting on an invisible throne. He walked right up to a large, circular gold mirror above the dark vanity, his cock in prominent view. He pressed her back into his heaving chest.
