By the time we pull into the clubhouse parking lot, its dark, and there is a party in full swing. Raef helps me off the bike. He grabs my hand, and leads me inside. As soon as the women see Raef, they are practically drooling over him. He’s fresh meat to them, and I’m sure they all want to take a ride with him. Hell, I want to take a ride with him too.

He wraps his arm around me and winks, before leading me towards the bar. He orders a beer, and asks me if I want anything. Declining, I try not to think about all the alcohol I drank last night. My stomach still hurts, and I know that if I start drinking again, I will end up getting sick.

We spend most of the night hanging out, and talking with the brothers. I can feel Striker watching me, but he never comes up to me. Every time Raef goes to get up, or I go and get him another beer, the bitches flock to him, and try to take him to bed.

I can feel my jealously rear its ugly head, but I have to remind myself that he isn’t mine, and he never will be. I want so badly for it to be true, but he’s only here for one reason. I know that I won’t be the girl to change his mind.

When this skanky bitch comes and sits on his lap, I can’t help but get jealous. Every ounce of me wants to pull her off his lap by her fake ass extensions. Instead of doing anything, I get up from my chair, and make my way back to the room. I can’t handle being in the same room as all these whores, and I know I’m going to do something that I regret, if I stick around. Well, I probably won’t regret it, but Raef might not like me ruining his chances of getting laid.

Before I can open the door, I hear footsteps behind me. When I turn around, I see Striker standing a few feet away in the shadows. Facing him, I wait for him to say whatever it is he wants to say. When he steps out of the shadows, I see that he has a mark on his neck. I can only imagine that it’s from the incident with Raef this morning.

“You follow him around like a lost puppy. Don’t you fucking see that he doesn’t give a shit about you Sailor?” His voice sounds pained, and I know he’s only looking out for me.

“Aren’t you doing the same exact thing?” He flinches at my words. I know it’s a low blow, but it’s time I make things right between us. For years, I’ve always run back to him when everything else blew up in my face, and the last time was no different.

“I love you Sailor. I always have,” his voice wavers. He isn’t the badass man that he makes everyone else believe he is. He’s the same kid I’ve known all my life. The one who helped protect me, when I needed it.

“I love you Striker, but not in the same way. You mean more to me than you’ll ever know, but that’s as far as it will ever go.” A tear falls from my eye, and it slides down my cheek.

“Yesterday you were thinking about him.” It’s more of a statement than a question, and I can’t bring myself to answer him. I don’t know how to answer him without hurting him.

Wiping the tears from my eyes, I remain silent. There is nothing that I can say to make things better.

“Is he really what you want?” he questions. I nod my head yes. He shakes his head, and walks away without another word. Feeling my heart break into little pieces, I open the door, and hurry inside. Pushing it closed, I slide down the back of the door, and cry. The look on his face was heartbreaking, and I know things will never be the same again.

Chapter Nine

Watching Sailor break his heart amuses me in some sick sort of way, and part of me is fucking thrilled that she did. I’ve wanted her since the moment I laid eyes on her. Even though I keep turning her down, I know I’m going to give in before I leave. Knowing that Striker is out of the picture makes my dick hard.

I refuse to be her second choice, and I want so bad to fuck her, until she can’t remember anyone before me.

Watching him walk away, I know that she’s going to be a mess. Judging by the tears on her face, she’s taking it badly. I watch her run inside, and I wait for a while before I go to the door of the room. Listening for a second, I hear her crying. Opening the door slowly, I feel her blocking it.

“Darlin’, I need you to move,” I say, through the crack in the door. She cries harder, and I can hear her mumbling, but I can’t make out the words. “Sailor,” I growl. I hear her move, and I push the door open to see her still sitting on the floor crying.

Walking in the room, I shut the door behind me, and I pick her up. Moving the hair out of her eyes, I place a kiss on her forehead, and set her on the bed. “He isn’t worth your tears,” I finally say, after she’s cried for a good twenty minutes.

She sniffles, and I lay her back on the pillows. She pulls me down with her, and I pull her into my arms. She buries her face into my neck, and I can feel her tears soaking through my shirt. Her fingers grip the leather of my cut, and I probably couldn’t break her grip if I tried. I whisper to her that everything will be okay, but it causes her to cry harder.

“No it won’t. He loves me, and I’m stupid enough to fall for someone who doesn’t even want me,” she chokes out.

“You have no fucking clue how fucking bad I want you,” I whisper against her forehead. She buries her face in my neck, and her tears tear at my heart. As much as I want to fuck her right, I don’t want her to get the wrong idea. This shit will never last between us. She deserves better than a biker, and I sure as hell ain’t anything more than that.

“You sure don’t act like it,” she sniffles.

She runs her fingers up my chest, and I know that she wants me, just as bad as I want her. I don’t think I can keep saying no, but I am going to try and last for as long as I can. Giving in will only make her want me more, and I can’t give her that. One time is good, but I never go back for seconds.

I feel her huff out a breath, and she cuddles her body into mine. Pulling the blanket up to our necks, I tuck her in, and wait for her to fall asleep. When her breathing finally evens out an hour later, I am able to check my phone. Seeing the message from Brant, I know that he probably has some information for me.

Brantley:
Found out some shit about your boy. Call me and we can talk.

Checking the time, I say fuck it, and call him anyway. When he finally answers, I think to myself that I should have just called him in the morning.

“Yeah,” he pants out. Shaking my head, I try not to think about what he’s fucking doing with my sister. That’s enough to make me want to fucking vomit.

“What do you have?” I ask, agitated.

I hear him whispering something to Anslie, and I hear her say, “fucking Raef,” a few times. “So I found out that he is part of the mob, and that he is currently looking for some bitch that he’s been dating. There aren’t many details, but I’m sure you know more than you're letting on.”

“Don’t worry about it. I have it handled. I just needed to figure out if I needed backup or not. Thanks brother.” I look over to the bed. Sailor is still asleep, and curled up where I left her.

“Alright, I’m going finish fucking your sister. Don’t call back,” he laughs, and then hangs up on me. Fucking bastard.

Watching Sailor for a minute, I can’t help but think about her silky soft skin under those blankets and clothes. Every inch of my skin comes alive when she touches me. I know my brothers are going to have a fucking field day with that if I ever told them, which is exactly why I won’t ever tell them.

“Raef,” she mumbles in her sleep. Watching her, I see that her eyes are still closed, and her lips are parted. She quietly moans, and I can feel my dick harden. She rolls onto her back, and she lets out another moan.

“Raef,” she says again. She doesn’t ever open her eyes, and I have a feeling that she is having a dream. “Mmm,” she moans louder. Fuck, I need to get the fuck out of here, before I do something I’m going to regret.

Walking out the door, I shut it behind me. I make my way to the clubhouse, and straight to the bar. Pulling up a stool, I look to my left, and see Striker nursing a beer.

When he looks at me, I can see the anger in his face. He’s pissed that I’ve come between him and Sailor. I have a feeling that he’s about to run his mouth at me again. Little does he know that I am not going down without a fight.

If he comes at me again, I won’t think twice about putting him on the ground again. This time, I definitely won’t go easy on him either. I’m fucking done listening to his bullshit excuses. I fucking wish that he wasn’t so damn fucking stupid.

“What? You didn’t get enough of her? You have to come find a fucking whore to fuck too?” he sneers.

The prospect hands me a whiskey neat, and I take sip of it, before I turn to face Striker. “I haven’t fucked her, but I know for a fact that you won’t be fucking her either. So why don’t you just stay the fuck away from her and mind your own damn business? I know for sure that you don’t have any claim over my dick, so mind your own fucking business.”

He gets up off the barstool, and makes his way towards me. Before he can even try to swing at me again, someone grabs him, and pulls him away from me. “Fuck you Raef. You come in here, and try to fucking steal my girl? That fucking shit ain’t cool.”

Shaking my head, I just smirk at him. “She was never yours to begin with. You have some sick fucking delusion that she yours, and trust me fucker, you were never on her radar. Move the fuck on, and leave her alone.”

The other guy pulls him out of the room. I shoot my whiskey before calling it a night, and going back to my room. I’m hoping that she’s done with her dream, so I can get some sleep. But, there is no way that I’ll be able to know until I get there. This shit is why I like having my fucking space. I never share my bed with bitches, and this is the fucking reason for it.

“Raef.” I hear my name called. When I turn around, I take a left hook to my jaw, and I get dropped hard on the ground.

When I look up, I see some asshole that I don’t recognize. He leans down, and gets in my face. “Where the fuck is my girl?” I don’t know who the fuck this asshole is, but I won’t let him go near her. He looks nothing like the photo Brant sent me earlier of her ex. Scanning the area, I see that the lights are still on in the clubhouse. No one knows exactly where the safe room is, unless they are part of the club.

“I sent her away. Wasn’t going to let some sick fuck like you hurt her for no goddamn reason.” He punches me in the jaw again, and this time I pull him down with me. I grew up with three brothers, so I know how to fight.

Pinning the guy to the ground, I use my knees to hold the fucker down, and I punch him a few times. He grabs something from behind him, and swings it at me. It connects with the back of my head, and the next thing I know, it’s completely fucking dark.
