He curled up in the corner of the couch, tucking his legs under his ass while he watched Jensen walk restlessly around the room. “You don’t look too unhappy in that photo.”

“It’s the only one I kept when I left to go to school. As much as I knew it was a lie, I liked that I could point to it and tell everyone how great my family was.” He shoved his hand through his hair and Toby wished he could do something to ease his pain a little. “My dad was an alcoholic and my mom abused prescription drugs before it was fashionable to do so.”

“I’m sorry. Was your dad abusive to you or your mom?” He didn’t like the idea of Jensen being hurt by anyone.

Jensen shook his head. “No. I know a lot of people would just assume he would be, but it wasn’t like that. They argued all the time. She wanted to travel around the world like she used to before she got married and my dad drank to try and drown out her bitching. Neither of them was abusive to me. They simply ignored me until I turned sixteen, when they shipped me off to boarding school. That way, my dad could bury his head in his work and my mother could fly around the world with her friends.”

Toby frowned. “You drank because you were lonely?”

“It numbed the pain of knowing my parents didn’t want me around. At first I did it to be cool while hanging out with the other kids. Then it got to the point where I couldn’t get moving in the morning without having a drink. It snowballed from there until I was drinking most of the day. I’d learned how to disguise it.” Jensen shrugged. “I was good at that.”

He could admit that was true. He’d never known just how much Jensen drank while they were dating. Toby had always thought it was social drinking like he’d done while at clubs and parties. Little had he known Jensen had kept a bottle in his desk to get him through the day.

“You learned your destructive behavior from your parents, where most kids learn shit like that,” Toby muttered. “Are they still alive?”

“Yeah. I haven’t seen them since I graduated from boarding school. They didn’t come to my college graduation and I haven’t talked them in years. Not sure where either of them are, though I know Dad sold off the dealerships and the garages when he realized I wasn’t interested in running them.” Jensen went over to the doors and pressed his hands against the windows. “God knows where my mom is.”

Toby pursed his lips, trying to figure out what to say or how to approach the subject. “Do you think that seeing them might help?”

Swinging around to look at him, Jensen asked, “Help with what?”

“I don’t know. Your recovery, I guess. I mean you’ve been sober for five years and off the drugs for two years now. Isn’t it time to face them and see them as the fallible creatures they are instead of the indifferent monsters you remember them as?” Toby plucked at a frayed rip in his jeans. “At least find out where they are and go to show them what you’ve become without any help from them.”

“What? Rub their faces in the fact that I’m a recovering alcoholic and a former drug user? I’ve turned out just like them.” Jensen turned away from him. “I’m not sure that’s a shining example of being a success.”

“Yes you’re those things, but you’re also an accomplished mountaineer who has climbed some of the most dangerous and highest mountains in the world. Not everyone can say they’ve done that and you’ve done it after cleaning up your act.” Toby let his gaze trail over Jensen from the back of his head over his firm ass to his bare feet. “You’re a man any father would be proud of. Hell, my dad brags about you to all of his friends every time you summit a mountain.”

Jensen chuckled. “He does?”

Toby laughed as well. “Oh yeah. Seems like climbing mountains and battling nature makes better bragging material than what I do.”

He shifted on the couch when Jensen came to kneel next to him. Jensen took his hand in his hand and squeezed it.

“Your dad loves and respects you very much, Toby. I hear it in his voice and see it on his face every time he looks at you.” Jensen was rather earnest.

“I know that, love. Don’t worry about me. I’m not jealous. I just wanted to let you know how much my dad respects you too. He considers you another son.” Toby laughed. “In fact, you’re more the son he wished I’d been.”

That knowledge didn’t bother Toby either. He’d known that he wasn’t exactly the son his dad had hoped he’d be when he was born. His dad had wanted a son who liked sports and cars. While Toby liked to watch sporting events, he wasn’t interested in playing in any of them. He knew nothing more than the usual about cars.

Growing up, he’d liked numbers and found out he was good with them. Dad accepted that and never made Toby feel like he was a disappointment. Yet he’d seen how happy Dad was when he met Jensen and realized that Toby’s boyfriend was athletic and loved cars, which Toby hadn’t known about Jensen.

“Don’t say that. Your dad loves you.” Jensen frowned, looking worried that Toby might really think his dad loved Jensen more.

Toby erased the creases on Jensen’s forehead with his fingers. “Don’t worry, Jensen. I know Dad loves me. I’m not jealous of your relationship with him. I’m really thrilled that my family has taken to you as well as they have. I’ll be honest. They’ve never loved any of my former boyfriends that they’d met, not that I took many of them home.”

“It wasn’t until I met you that I thought about what being part of a couple involved and I managed to screw that up.” Jensen took Toby’s fingers then pressed them to his lips.

“You fixed it when you came back,” he said quickly, not wanting to listen to Jensen beat himself up again for leaving. “When you get back from Everest, we’ll head up to my parents’ for a couple days, so my mom can spoil you and you can tell my dad all about your trip. He’ll love to see the pictures and stuff.”

Before Jensen could say anything else, Toby leaned forward to replace his fingers with his lips on Jensen’s mouth. He hummed softly when Jensen opened for him and he swept his tongue in. He slid his hand around the back of Jensen’s head to grip his neck, holding him still while he took control of the kiss.

Jensen relaxed into his touch, allowing Toby to do what he wanted. What Toby wanted was Jensen’s cock inside him right then. After shoving at Jensen’s shoulders so he flopped back on the couch, Toby straddled his thighs then rocked his jean-covered hard-on into Jensen’s.

“Is there something you want?” Jensen smirked and Toby slid one of his hands up under Jensen’s shirt to pinch his nipple. “Holy fuck!”

Arching his back, Jensen hissed a little. It didn’t take long for Toby to have both of their shirts off and his fingers on those two pieces of flesh. He tugged, twisted and flicked them until Jensen whined and they were red from the abuse. Leaning down, Toby licked one then blew a puff of air over it.

“Oh God,” Jensen moaned, cupping Toby’s head and not allowing him to move away.

“You need to let me go,” Toby mumbled. “I want us naked and you inside me.”

“Do you want to go upstairs?” Jensen put his hands on either side of his hips as though he was going to help Toby stand.

Shaking his head, Toby grinned. “I want you to fuck me right here.”

Jensen’s eyes went wide at Toby’s blunt statement, which made Toby burst out laughing. It wasn’t as if he hadn’t demanded to be fucked before, but it seemed like Jensen was always shocked when he did it.

After climbing off, Toby stripped quickly before kneeling in front of Jensen. He didn’t fumble or anything as he unbuckled Jensen’s belt then unbuttoned and unzipped his jeans. Tapping at Jensen’s waist, he nodded when he lifted his hips so Toby could yank his pants down.

“Going commando today,” he said in approval. “Less clothes I need to deal with.”

Once he’d exposed Jensen’s cock, Toby dropped his head to wrap his lips around the thick girth. Jensen was about the same length as Toby, but he was thicker. The thought made Toby’s ass clench. God, he couldn’t wait to get it inside him.

He took Jensen all the way down then swallowed around him. Jensen jerked and moaned. Toby worked the shaft in his mouth, sucking until he could lick drops of pre-cum from Jensen’s slit.

Jensen smoothed his hand over Toby’s head. “God, I love your mouth almost as much as I love your ass. We don’t have any lube down here though. I don’t want to hurt you.”

Toby didn’t really listen as he moved his mouth from Jensen’s length to his balls. He sucked them in one at a time, playing with them while Jensen babbled. It wasn’t until Jensen tugged on his hair that Toby refocused on Jensen’s face.

“What?” he asked after rising up on his knees away from Jensen.

“Lube. We need some because I don’t want to fuck you without it.” Jensen looked like he was going to get up and leave.

Pinning his hips to the couch, Toby shook his head. “Don’t worry about it. We’ll take it slow. I don’t want to waste any more time. I want you to fuck me, Jensen. The pain isn’t important.”

And it wasn’t. He knew it would hurt a little when they began, but eventually it would morph into pleasure and that was what he yearned for. He straddled Jensen’s hips again before pressing his fingers against Jensen’s lips. His lover opened and sucked them in, getting them as wet as he could.

When Toby thought it was enough, he reached around and shoved his fingers into his ass. “Argh!” He grunted.

Jensen grabbed his hips. “Don’t. I’m going to get the lube.”

Toby put his other hand on Jensen’s chest, stopping him from moving. “No. I’ll be all right.”

He rushed through stretching his opening and once he thought it was good enough, he removed his fingers. Jensen grabbed his cock then held it still while Toby positioned himself over it. Toby bit his bottom lip as he lowered his body to take Jensen in. As much as he wanted to rush, he eased down inch by inch, waiting for a second as he adjusted to being invaded.

Once he bottomed out, he rested his hands on Jensen’s chest for support while he panted. Jensen didn’t move either as he kept his gaze on Toby. Finally, Toby relaxed and groaned.

He pushed up on his knees then dropped. Jensen gripped Toby’s waist, surging up to meet each downward movement. When the flared head of Jensen’s cock nailed his gland, Toby shouted, “Fuck!”

Trembling, he began to move faster, needing more. Suddenly, Jensen wrapped him in a tight embrace, and somehow without sliding out of him, got them on the floor with Jensen on top. Toby’s ankles rested on his lover’s shoulders and he was almost bent in half as Jensen slammed into him hard.

“Yes,” Toby encouraged him. “More. I’m so close.”

Jensen grunted, seemingly caught up in fucking him as he wanted. There would be bruises on his skin from where Jensen gripped him and Toby knew he’d be feeling Jensen for the next couple of days.

His climax raced through him without a touch to his cock. He spilled cum over his stomach and clenched tight around Jensen, whose rhythm stuttered for a second then he slammed deep inside. Jensen cried out as he flooded Toby’s ass before collapsing on top of him.

Toby grimaced at the rather chilly mess between them, yet he loved the feeling of Jensen’s cum inside him. “I’ll never get used to that feeling,” he muttered, tracing circles on Jensen’s shoulder blades.

“I know,” Jensen agreed.

They were lying there, basking the aftermath of their mutual climaxes when the doorbell rang. Jensen jerked away from him, and Toby winced as he slid out of him.

“Are you expecting someone?”

“Aww…shit! Yeah, Simpson said he wanted to go over some files with me and I told him to come out for dinner. He’s going to spend the night and head back to the city in the morning with me.” Toby glanced down at his cum-covered body and laughed. “I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want to see me like this.”

Jensen snatched up one of their shirts before wiping himself off. He did up his jeans then held out a hand. “Run up the back stairs to the bedroom. Take a quick shower and change. I can entertain him until you get back down here.”

Toby let Jensen help him up. He kissed him before he gathered up his clothes and dashed through the hallway to the kitchen and the stairs. It was great of Jensen to offer to deal with Simpson until Toby cleaned up since they really didn’t like each other that much. Oh, they tolerated being around each other for Toby’s sake, so at least they acted like adults most of the time.

He grinned as he headed into the bathroom, feeling like a kid who’d been caught with his boyfriend by his parents.

Jensen strolled off the plane, keeping a hold of his carry-on along with Toby’s hand. He didn’t want to get separated from him. Not that the airport was that busy, but still he liked knowing Toby was close by him.

“Jigger going to pick us up?” Toby asked for the six hundredth time.

Okay, so he was exaggerating about how many times Toby had asked, but it had been a couple of times since they’d got on the plane in Connecticut. Toby didn’t like flying and one way he coped was to go over their plans obsessively. Jensen
dealt
with it because he loved Toby and he also knew what it was like to be scared of something.

He hadn’t handled his fears quite as well as Toby did. Where Toby tended to ask a ton of questions and talk incessantly, Jensen would’ve just drunk himself unconscious or shot something up to get through the flight. Of course, flying didn’t freak him out, which was a good thing since he had to be on airplanes a lot for his expeditions. Now that they were on the ground, Toby would be fine.

“Yes. He and Pamela will meet us at baggage claim then we’ll head out to grab Cat from work. We’ll probably get something to eat on the way to their place. I’m not sure how much Cat will want to cook tonight.” He’d been through the Laramie airport a hundred times and knew exactly where they had to go.

Toby had been out to visit Cat and Jigger with him before and they got along far better than Jensen and Simpson did. Of course, Simpson was a self-righteous prick who believed that Jensen was going to bail on Toby at some point, no matter how long Jensen had stuck around for.
