“There’s just one more unanswered question I have,” I say. She looks up, confused.

“What is it?”

“Are you dating Rory now? Am I gonna have to fight to get you back?”

She laughs loudly.

“No. Rory’s just a friend from school. I don’t think you’ll have to do too much convincing to pry me away from him.”

We both smile, which feels so good.

“Although I’m mad at you for lying to me, I’m relieved to find out the truth. Your brother will be fine. I’ll talk to the officers and put in a good word for him. Hopefully, he won’t see much jail time, maybe none at all.” She nods sadly.

“I’m glad you forgave me,
before
you knew the truth about the accident. That says a lot about you. I really am sorry for my part in all this.” I place my finger against her lips.

“And I’m sorry for the way I treated you. I guess none of us are innocent. The good thing is that we’ll all be okay in the end.” I smile at her and take her face in my hands. “I love you, Elora. I always will.” I kiss her, and the feeling of her back in my arms again is like no other, and I know this is just the beginning.

EPILOGUE

As I set the table for dinner, I can’t help but be nervous. After all, it’s not every day we have both his parents, his brother, and Daniel over for a meal. I’m relieved, when Logan says he didn’t tell his parents about Daniel being the cause of his accident. The police said that since they couldn’t prove he was intoxicated, and the fact that he turned himself in, weighed heavily in his favor. He was fined and given a ticket for failure to control his vehicle. Other than that, he was given a stern lecture. He blames his sudden increase of alcohol intake on his guilt from that day, but since then, Daniel hasn’t had a drop to drink. He’s even got a new girlfriend who doesn’t drink either, and she’s sworn to keep him dry.

Logan still keeps his mother at arm’s length. He claims he’s fine with their relationship, but I’ve secretly devised a plan to hopefully fix it. I’m not sure it’ll work, but if I’m going to be around the two of them, I’d like to see them grow closer.

As for Logan and me, we couldn’t be happier. I’ve finished school and gotten my degree as an RN. I’m sure the work will be stressful, but there’s something about the feeling of helping people that I just can’t dismiss. It’s as if I was born to do it. Logan has declared his desire to be a Physical Therapist. He’s already started taking some prerequisite classes and has been accepted into PT school. And, because of his background being a Medic, it won’t take him long at all. I couldn’t be more proud of him.

Now, as I lay out the last plate, I feel a set of arms engulf me around the waist.

“Good evening, Mr. Turner.” He smiles against my neck and kisses me there.

“It’s a very good evening, when you’re here, Miss Foster.” I turn in his arms and stare into his beautiful eyes.

“I’ll have to agree with that sentiment,” I say, and I kiss him. As usual, the world falls away, as I float on a cloud.

“Ahem,” a voice breaks in. “You know, you
do
have a room in this house,” Michael says. We both turn to look at him.

“Go away. Can’t you see we’re busy?” Logan says with a smirk. Soon, a pair of arms wrap around Michael from behind.

“Leave them alone,” Jenna scolds. “They’ve had enough of your comments for one lifetime.” He smiles broadly and turns in her arms.

“How about if
we
get a room then? My room.” He smirks at her, and her smile lights up as they kiss. Logan rolls his eyes at the sight, but I bring his attention back to me.

“I love you,” I say, very sincerely. “Don’t ever doubt that.”

“Never,” he says, and we kiss.

I’d like to take a moment to give a huge THANK YOU to all my readers and fans! I’ve gotten so much love from you, and it’s very much appreciated. I love every single private message, direct message, and email I get from you. Keep them coming,
please!

To those of you who took the time and left me an honest review, I send out a

Kate Squires was born and raised in Ohio where she still resides with her husband and children. She has always loved writing but never, ever thought her life would lead to sitting in front of her laptop for hours on end creating stories other people would read some day. As a child she hated reading until a certain trilogy turned that all around for her. Now she can’t get her hands on enough books. Kate has dabbled in all sorts of odd jobs ranging from dog groomer to dance instructor, but her true passion is creating characters out of thin air and making them do her bidding. Her published works so far are That Kiss, That Promise, I Will Catch You, Tracing Hearts, and When Love Breaks. Visit her website for more information about her books and upcoming events.
