Tre noticed Carter’s split mood. It was thick enough to be cut with a knife, but he hoped Carter’s attitude had progressed to a mellower tone from earlier. Taking his chances, Tre asked Carter what they were celebrating.

Carter’s grin turned down into a displeased mug, and Carter began to express how utterly disappointed he was in the entire team. “Now why don’t you take a seat with the rest of your can’t-manage-to-make-shit-happen-ass team!” Carter spat at Tre.

Tre tried to calm Carter down and explain, but Carter cut him off.

“No excuses. You had your chance and fucked it up. Spare me!” Carter ended the conversation, turning his glass up to drink the remainder of his scotch.

Tre took his seat. He was flushed with embarrassment, yet burning with anger inside at Carter’s disrespect to him. But he decided not to chance Carter, especially while he was upset and holding a gun in his hand.

Carter continued to verbally assassinate and
emasculate t
hem, calling them worthless and degrading names. His ringing mobile device stopped his vicious word flow. After looking at the caller ID display, Carter turned his back and then took his call.

Tre inched towards his pistol, contemplating taking his longtime friend and boss out, but before he could wrap his hand around his pistol, Carter turned back to them, wrapping his conversation up. “Stay where you are. We’re on our way.” Carter signaled for Tre to stand. “Now which one of you pieces of shits is responsible for the fall we took?” Carter cocked his Desert Eagle, staring seriously at each man individually.

They were all dumbfounded, stumbling over their words, confused as to Carter’s movement.

This muthafucka off his rocker!
Tre began to speak on behalf of his men. Carter’s tone and demeanor suggested that one of his guys would have to pay with their lives, and Tre hoped to spare them.

Carter told Tre to pause. “While you were here sniffing up my ass, Tre, who was in charge of your men?”

Tre replied with the
hitman’s na
me. “But -”

“No buts. Kill him, Tre, or I’ll kill you,” Carter promised.

Tre’s eyes widened. He was shocked. Carter had never threatened to kill him. It had just gotten real, and within that second, Tre decided that he was going to put Carter to rest once everything was over with. “As you please.” Tre aimed his pistol at his worker, gritted his teeth, and then squeezed the trigger, allowing several bullets to enter his head. The rest of the men didn’t make a sound or move, but they were all mentally
planning thei
r next move. They didn’t want to die.

Carter continued, “
Let that be a lesson to the rest of you peasants, because this could be any one of you!’ He pointed at them with his gun, then lowered it. As an afterthought, he added
, “And until further notice, you guys will start reporting to me.” He told Tre to go upstairs to get Keisha. “It’s time for me to
reinforce m
y presence on the streets.” Carter paused. “Cross Carter and lose your life.”

__________

The ride was quiet and full of tension between the two men. Tre maneuvered the private car to the warehouse in deep thought while Carter sat in the backseat watching Keisha as Keisha shifted around. Her hands were bound together with layers of duct tape and so were her feet. Keisha continuously tried to question where they were going, but her words came out muffled. Tre had duct-taped her mouth shut too.

“Relax, Dollface, it’ll all be over very soon. I promise,” Carter poked fun at Keisha.

Tre smiled inside. He couldn’t wait to see Keisha dropped. He just hoped Carter would allow him to continue with the original plan of taking Keisha’s eyeballs out before she was penetrated with bullets.

Keisha kicked at the back of Tre’s seat with horror in her eyes, speaking muffled words that appeared to be ones pleading for her life. Before she learned that her baby father Li’l Boo was alive, so she was full of sorrow, depressed, and she desperately wanted to die. But now her attitude toward living seemed to have changed.

An hour away from the cabin, the duo were finally approaching the location. Carter sighed with relief as Tre opened the door for him, and then Tre picked Keisha up and carried her to the exit, where familiar faces awaited them. Inside, over a dozen of Carter’s men walked the floor, armed, with six of Keisha’s men
subdued a
nd tied to chairs that were positioned in a musical chair fashion.

“Daddy!” Carter’s daughter Saige ran in from an adjoining room with tears pouring down her face and her arms
spread w
ide open. She was happy to see her father and even more so to be alive.

“Saige!” Carter yelled out to his daughter. Tall and beautiful, Saige’s radiant skin still managed to hold its glow. She smiled, running in his direction. The two hugged tightly as Carter whispered in his daughter’s ear. “Daddy told you that you would be alright. Didn’t I tell you?” He wiped the tears from her eyes and kissed her on the face.

“Yes, Papa, you did.” Saige couldn’t stop herself from crying. Moments later, Carter’s dear old aunt joined them and then hugged her nephew. Like Saige, she was happy to be alive and she wanted to go home.

When Carter saw Tre starting toward Keisha with a sharp object in hand, he excused himself from his daughter and auntie, stopping Tre. “Your days of making split second decisions have been revoked. So stand the fuck down until I tell you to move!”

Humiliated, Tre felt like he had shrunk in size as his lower-ranking counterparts looked on. Many of them reported to Tre and practically looked at him as Carter’s equal due to him being the highest-ranking within Carter’s
organization
and the one closest to him. But like a light switch, Tre’s ego quickly came into play. Tre had had enough. Through gritted teeth, he spat, “I’m tryna make this bitch pay for my lost eye and your auntie’s finger. What are we waiting for, Carter? I’m tired of looking at this bitch and I’m ready to do something about it!” Tre was having the hardest time concealing his hostility toward Carter.

Carter asked one of his workers to take his daughter and aunt out of the room and then started toward Tre with a grim expression on his face. It was noticeable to everyone in room that Carter was at his wit’s end with Tre. “As much heat as I’ve been feeling toward you lately, Tre, you’re finally right about one thing.” Carter paused. “It is time.”

Tre was happy to see Carter finally coming back around. He gave Carter a brotherly pat on the shoulder.

Carter turned back to Keisha, and red dots from the infrar
ed sc
opes
shone on
the heads of Keisha and her homeboys. Every gun in the room was aimed at them. Carter removed the layers of duct tape from Keisha’s mouth and then asked one of his workers to cut the duct tape from her hands and feet. “Any final words or requests, Dollface?” Carter asked Keisha as he removed his Desert Eagle from his waist band.

Tre thought,
What the fuck is Carter doing? And this bitch bet’ not mention shit about me deleting nothing or I’m cold knocking her ass out!
He balled his fist tightly.

After a quick stretch, Keisha rose to her feet, cracked her neck, and then cleared her throat. “First and foremost, I’d like to thank the God for pulling me through this when I couldn’t no more.” Keisha looked to her homeboys Big Pope Dog and Gutty and smiled. “I gotta thank my homeboys for holding me all the way down. Piru, I couldn’t ask for a better set of riders on my team. I love you niggas.” Big Pope Dog smiled and Gutty winked at Keisha. Keisha then turned to Carter. “I can’t even be mad at you. I know what it is to be deceived by the ones closest to you. It’s life changing, Piru, but I’m glad you learned.” She looked at Tre and called him a pussy before directing her attention back to Carter. “I told you this fruitcake-ass nigga wanted to suck yo’ dick -”

“What the fuck is you letting this bitch do, Carter?” Tre moved ruthlessly toward Keisha. He had heard enough of her fly, disrespectful-ass mouth. She was standing and speaking as if she was at a hip-hop award ceremony being presented with a
Grammy a
ward and it had Tre confused entirely. He was ready to take her out. “Let me get this bitch!” He hadn’t quit comprehended what was going on.

Big Pope Dog and Gutty stood at each side of Keisha.

Carter put his hand up and signaled, resulting in Tre lighting up like a Christmas tree. Every gun and infrared scope in the room was now aimed at Tre. Carter told Tre to pause. “It’s always polite to listen and be quiet when others are speaking.” Carter tried giving Keisha the floor back, but Tre flew into a frenzy, questioning Carter about what was going on.

“Talk to me, man. I know you not believing nothing this bitch Keisha been telling you?” Tre asked nervously.

Carter hated to have his intelligence played on and decided not to entertain Tre’s trickery. He had been watching Keisha’s room by audio and video surveillance specifically to keep close tabs on her when he wasn’t in her room to monitor any trickery she might have been up to. Carter learned that Keisha had never been the one with a shady agenda. It was his longtime friend and head
security guard
Tre that did that. Carter assured Keisha of her life, wealth, and protection before they came up with a plan that would walk Tre to his final hour, and Keisha’s whole team was in on it.

Carter passed Keisha his Desert Eagle and then stepped aside.

“Talk to me, Carter, tell me what’s going on!” Tre continued begging and pleading mercilessly for Carter to spare his life.

But instead, Carter threw his hands up. He hated for things to end the way they were, but Tre had to be dealt with - friend or not.

“Sayonara,
fuck boy!” Keisha put Carter’s cherished pistol in Tre’s face and then squeezed the trigger, unloading an entire clip
into him at close range
with total satisfaction.

Afterwards, Keisha hugged each of her homeboys tightly, thanking them each sincerely and wholeheartedly. “This shit is finally over, my niggas. I don’t have to duck, dodge, or hide anymore. I can go home and my family can go back to their normal lives again,” Keisha said, full of emotions.

Li’l Boo Part VII

In the depths of the night, resting like a baby, Li’l Boo received a knock on the door. After glancing at the time, he rolled his lady company, Destiny, out of his arms and then sat up in bed. Besides his mother, his homeboy CK, and Big Pope Dog, no one else knew where he was at. Li’l Boo grabbed his phone to see if he had missed any calls from any of them and he had not.
Who the fuck can it be?
Li’l Boo climbed out of bed, grabbed his pistol, and then started to the door.

“It’s me, Li’l Boo!” Big Pope Dog yelled through the door. “Open up, nigga.”

Keisha!
Li’l Boo opened the door, hoping it wasn’t bad news. He had been waiting hours for a return call from Big Pope Dog and suddenly Li’l Boo began to worry horribly. He had barely been able to go to sleep, which was why he had invited Destiny over in the first place. Good pussy usually allowed him to rest well and he was in dire need of it.

“Come in, my nigga.” Li’l Boo immediately began to ask about Keisha.

Seeing ladies undergarments and clothing trailing to the bedroom, Big Pope Dog giggled.

“Blood, if you don’t get whatever bitch you been piping down out of here and wash yo’ nuts off, my homegirl Keys gon’ whack yo’ ass, nigga.”

Li’l Boo began to fret. “Where she at, my nigga? Is she outside?” Li’l Boo peered out the living room window, heart racing. He was elated beyond words that she was alive, but feared that his mistake to invite Destiny over for sex would ultimately cost him the woman he was battling so hard for.

“You better be happy the homeboy Gutty ain’t walked in on this shit,” Big Pope mentioned, knowing how smitten Gutty was with Keisha, and then he started laughing at how nervously Li’l Boo was moving about the room. “Calm down, nigga. Gutty isn’t going to walk Keys up until I call and give them the okay that you’re here. So just hurry up and get rid of your company.”

Li’l Boo breathed a sigh of relief. He walked in the room, flipped the light on, and then told Destiny that she had to hurry up and leave. Destiny begin to fuss about Li’l Boo waking her up but then quickly changed her mind when she noticed Big Pope Dog standing at the door
gawking a
t her. Destiny ran into the bathroom, calling Big Pope Dog a creep.

“So I’ve been told.” Big Pope Dog blew a kiss at her. “All that fine ass!” He imagined bending her over.

“Come on, dog, let the bitch get her clothes on.” Li’l Boo stepped out of the room, closing the door behind him.

Back in the living room, Li’l Boo asked Big Pope Dog if he could keep the night’s incident between the two of them. But before Big Pope Dog could respond, Gutty and Keisha walked through the door.

“Li’l Boo!” Keisha cried joyfully, running into Li’l Boo’s arms.

“Baby, how you feeling? Li’l Mama, you good?” Li’l Boo began to examine Keisha. “I was going brazy without you. I haven’t had sleep in days -”

Keishas slowly came out of her love spell when she noticed a woman’s blouse, bra, and G-string scattered about on the living room floor. Keisha took a step back. Her smile folded into a heart-wrenching frown. “Whose shit is that, Li’l Boo?”

“Baby, let me explain.” Li’l Boo grabbed Keisha by the arm. He didn’t want to lose her. “An old friend stopped by, but she don’t mean shit to me. I was fucked up in the head and couldn’t sleep, so I -”

WHAM! Keisha backhanded Li’l Boo, crying her heart out. “I trusted you! You promised me that you changed and told me that your heart and dick belonged to me!”

“Li’l Mama, they do belong to you!” Li’l Boo tried hugging Keisha, but it only made matters worse.

Gutty got involved and tried to walk Keisha outside. He hated to see Keisha hurting and in pain.

Li’l Boo told everybody to leave to give him and Keisha time alone when Destiny walked out of the bedroom to collect her things and asked what was going on.

Keisha’s head swung in the direction of the woman and lost it. “So this the bitch you decided to give my dick to while I was being beaten and drugged, my nigga?”
