“Ahh shit
!”
Keisha winced in pain. Blood was leaking from her face and her shoulder throbbed as if it were broken. She asked her driver if he was al

s
and went for her gun. But before Keisha knew it
,
she was being pulled out of the window of the smoking SUV, being dragged and then thrown into the back of a black, tinted Crown Victoria.
The
SUV with her head hitter inside
was
torched with fire.

Inside the car
,
Keisha sat facing none other than Tre. Fuming in anger, Keisha wasn’t afraid to die, but
she
was terribly saddened by the fact that she’d ultimately leave her children behind, never seeing them or her family and friends ever again.
The
life
she
and
Li’l
Boo planned to build together would neve
r come into existence.
Keisha looked around the car and beg
a

I’m not gon

nigga

believe that! If I gotta go
,
I’ma go out fighting…Piru!

Tre nodded his head as if he could read Keisha’s mind
.
“Don’t even think about it,” he warned her and then he tapped his driver on the shoulder. “Drive straight to the jet and call Carter and let him know we got the bitch and that we’re on our way
.

Then
Tre turned back to Keisha. “Damn
,
I’m forgetting my manners again,” he smiled and then said, “Hi
,
Keisha. What

again?” Tre followed up with a punch that sent Keisha’s head into the bulletproof glass window. It was the beginning of a long ride to the private jet that awaited them.

Keisha – Part VI

Keisha lifted her head sluggishly from the down feather pillow that her head had been resting on. Trying
desperately
to speak, she wondered when she had been moved from the empty room that she had been beaten and drugged up in for what seemed like days.
How did I get these pajamas on? What the fuck?
Keisha wondered
in alarm, observing the soft-fitting pajamas set that she had on.
This is a cabin, so we’re in the mountains somewhere,
Keisha deduced from the log walls, scanning the room, looking for a way to escape.

After Keisha had been snatched into the Crown Victoria with Tre, she had physically gotten the piss beaten out of her, and afterwards she kicked Tre’s eyeball out with a forceful shove of her heel to his face. Keisha remembered fighting him with everything in her. Tre was taking blows to her like a man. Later, Keisha remembered being thrown into a private jet while Tre had been rushed to the hospital. In the jet, Keisha was blindfolded and her hands were duct-taped behind her back as instructed from Tre.

“Keep yo’ eyes on that crafty little bitch,”
Keisha recalled Tre warning his men.

Less than an hour later when the jet landed, Keisha tried kicking her next victim’s eye out, resulting in her being knocked in and out of consciousness before she was locked inside of a room. When Keisha began to verbally assault her abductors by calling them pussy-ass bitches, she had been injected by a needle that put her out cold. So to open her eyes and find herself in a tall, cozy bed, bandaged up in comfortable sleep wear, although cuffed to the bed, had Keisha utterly confused. The words that Keisha tried so
hard
to form finally came out.

“The fuck am I? Li’l Boo! Big Pope Dog! Gutty! Poo! Somebody!” Keisha yelled out.

The bedroom door opened and the last face Keisha wanted to see entered the room.

“Dollface has finally awakened. How are you feeling, Ms. Cones?” Carter walked into the room, dressed fashionably in expensive threads and custom loafers. He sat at the edge of the bed with high milligram pain relievers in his hand. “Pain pill,” he offered, shaking the bottle of pills.

Keisha didn’t appreciate Carter’s presence, his friend-like demeanor, or the smirk he was wearing, and she wanted so badly to knock it off his face. “We have no words, Carter, so spare me all this hospitable shit and do what -”

Carter quickly shushed Keisha. “Everybody deserves a few final wishes before they go out. I mean, you and I were friends once upon a time. So besides the clothes on your back, this cozy bed, and the doctor I paid to stitch you up and see to your wounds, you can have anything. A favorite meal… dessert… and if you’re good, I may even grant you a final phone call.”

“Fuck you, muthafucka!”

“This dick isn’t an option. I’ve moved on,” Carter nodded in amusement.

Tears began to flush from Keisha’s eyes. She was so upset that the words she began to spit out didn’t make an ounce of sense.

Carter laughed at Keisha and then stood up when he received a phone call from his daughter Saige. She had just gotten back from the Bahamas with his dear old aunt and he was sure that she wanted to tell him all about her trip. “We’ll finish this conversation up later, Dollface, but in the meantime, decide what final meal you’d like to have. I may even have dinner with you.” He exited the room.

Keisha yelled after Carter, “Fuck you, Carter, and yo’ pussy-ass life… bitch nigga!”

Carter answered the phone laughing inside at Keisha’s vulgar words to him. “Hello, sweetheart, how was your trip?”

“Daddy, me and Auntie have been kidnapped! Please let the girl go and do whatever they tell you to do. I don’t wanna die!”
his only child,
cried through the phone. “I don’t wanna die like Mommy,” she said before the phone was snatched from her.

“’Sup, nigga? Put my homegirl Keys on the phone right now, nigga, or I’ma adiós both of these bitches. I’ll make sure I let you hear the fragments of their brains splattering out too,” Big Pope Dog roared through the phone.

Carter froze in position. His grin had turned into a mask of rage. Eyes bucked, he wondered how his daughter and auntie were located, especially by gangbangers from Compton. After Saige’s Columbian mother was murdered in front of her at the age of ten in Europe, where Carter had sent them after a bloody drug war broke out between him and his Columbian connect, Carter moved his family to California, got them all new identities, and kept his daughter a deep secret from his world. He only met up with Saige twice a year for Christmas and her birthday. It was for her own protection, and although they spoke on the phone several times a week, Carter missing out on his daughter’s life was his biggest regret of being in the game. Hearing his daughter cry and beg for his help nearly killed him. She was his only weakness in the world.
How did they find out who and where they were?
Carter was vexed. He spoke through gritted teeth. “If you hurt them, I swear to God, I’ll erase your entire bloodline - babies, old ladies and all.”

Big Pope Dog laughed. “You done, tough guy?” Big Pope Dog shot back. He wasn’t interested in hearing Carter’s threats. “See, we can all be touched, Big Boy, and right now it’s up to you.” He cocked his pistol and put it to Carter’s daughter’s head. “Now on the count of three…” Big Pope Dog started to count.

Carter snapped. “One, two, three, muthafucka! Shoot and we’ll both be short a loved one.” The line went silent for a moment causing, Carter the gratification and control he wanted. Suddenly he heard his auntie in the background screaming in horror.

Big Pope Dog returned on the line moments later with a no-nonsense attitude. “Now I just cut off your fat-ass auntie’s ring finger with her wedding rings on it. Your daughter is next. Put my homegirl on the phone. You got sixty seconds… starting now.” Big Pope Dog looked at his watch and began counting.

Carter didn’t like how Big Pope Dog was pushing his back up against the wall, commanding and giving him orders, but his daughter’s life was at stake. He had to think fast. By the time Big Pope Dog counted to thirty, Carter pushed his pride aside and hurriedly made his way back to the room Keisha lay captured in.

As he entered the room, Carter pressed mute on his mobile device and told Keisha to listen closely. “Your friends got ahold of some people very dear to me. So I need you to get on the phone and let them know you’re alright.” He paused. “And choose your words very wisely, Dollface, or I’ll be sure to have you dismembered alive.” Carter put the phone to Keisha’s ear.

Keisha scrambled to a sitting position. She knew her
niggas
wouldn’t let her down. “Is Li’l Boo alive? Is he alright?” She worried and so desperately and wanted to know. He had been the only person on her mind each time she regained conscious or opened her eyes.

Big Pope Dog sighed in relief. His homegirl was alive. “Good to hear your voice, Keys. I don’t know about Li’l Boo right now, but I know you’re going to be alright. I have Carter’s beloved daughter and aunt,” he chuckled. “Are you alright? Any missing fingers or toes?”

Before Keisha could respond, Carter took the mobile device off speaker and put it to his ear. “You’ve got your confirmation. Now let’s talk.” Carter went into negotiation mode.

Keisha felt that Big Pope Dog was holding something back from her and all she wanted to know was whether
Li’l Boo was dead or alive and shouted at the top of her lungs. “Naw, fam, fuck that shit! Tell me if Li’l Boo was dead or alive. Before you negotiate shit with blood, Piru, if Li’l Boo is gone, pop them hoes and let this pussy off me! I don’t wanna live if Li’l Boo is gone and that’s on my daddy, rest in peace!” Keisha cried from the depths of her soul. “If he gone, let me go with him!”

Carter looked at Keisha like she was crazy before he quickly exited the room. He was completely taken aback from Keisha’s sudden outburst and
peculiar
request. Had he seen it coming, he would have exited the room a lot sooner. Carter slammed the bedroom door behind him, steaming.
I need this bitch to want to live and be begging for her life right now!
Trying to display the little control and patience that he had left, Carter began to negotiate. His daughter’s life was at stake and he had never felt so cornered and powerless in his entire life. In the midst of bargaining, a smile crept across Carters face. He remembered the tracking device that he had installed on his daughter’s mobile device some time ago.
Looks like I’ll get the final say after all.

Big Pope Dog chimed in. “After I find out whether Keys baby father is alive or not, I’ll give you a call and we can begin to put those plans in motion. So until then, take care of mine, Big Boy, and I’ll take care of yours.” Big Pope Dog disconnected the call. He wanted to honor Keisha’s wishes and give her the information that she so desperately wanted. If Li’l Boo was dead, he’d allow Keisha the final say and then go on with his life. He was there to provide a service, and although Keisha was his friend, he knew that just like her father, she wouldn’t be able to live and go on with a hole in her heart, and he’d see to it that she would be taken out of her misery.

Carter went inside the room that his laptop was in to track his daughter’s location.
You can go, Dollface, but my daughter won’t lose her life over your hood Romeo and Juliet bullshit!
Carter typed away at his laptop.

Tre walked in the room wearing a patch over his eye. He had just been flown back in from the hospital. He was beyond ready to see Keisha’s life ended, and had plans on taking both of her eyes out before she died. “You still playing nice with that bitch or are you ready to set that example, boss?”

“No!” Carter froze, staring at the screen of his laptop before knocking it to the floor. The tracking navigation had been deactivated and the back-up chip had been removed from her phone. Carter turned to Tre, throwing his hands up hopelessly. “They have Saige and Auntie.” Carter’s heart dropped in his foot. He had failed his daughter after promising her that no one would come for her or hurt her, and now her fate lay in the hands of a man that could possibly be dead.

Tre hit the roof.
Oh, this bitch gon’ die, and that’s that. I haven’t done all this plotting and wild goose chasing for nothing!
Tre looked at his friend. “Keisha will still be that example, and don’t worry, we’ll get Saige and Auntie Peggy back alive. I give you my word.” Tre started out of the room to alert his team.

Before he stepped out of the room, Carter rose from his seat. “In the meantime, no one is to lay a hand on Keisha. We need to find a way to locate my daughter by her phone.”

“Easy task, boss. Rest assured.” Tre left the room.

CITY OF COMPTON

The streets were talking, and everybody wanted to know whether Keisha Cones and Li’l Boo were dead or alive. The body count in front and inside of Li’l Boo’s home suggested that he was dead, but there was no corpse to confirm it. Speculation began to boil over after a significant amount of Li’l Boo’s blood was found inside of his home. The SUV that had allegedly been transporting Keisha had been set ablaze with only the remains of an unidentified male body inside. It was burned to a crisp in the driver’s seat, hanging on to the wheel, but there was no trace of Keisha Cones. Before long, a bloody, gangsta love story began to rip through the streets of Compton and the mystery ending of Li’l Boo’s and Keisha’s
whereabouts and possible demises h
ad family, friends, and residents throughout the city filled with worry and concern. After days of no certainty, mourners began to
set memorials
all over the city and
candlelight vigils
at each of their last

cations.

After one event, Li’l Boo’s family all piled in at his mother’s house to be there and comfort her. His mother Sheila was devastated and hated the very breath that Keisha breathed all the way down to Keisha and her son’s offspring Kessia. She wanted no parts or dealings to anyone connected to Keisha Cones. Here her son had gone missing, thanks to Keisha sending trouble his way. In her gut, she knew her son was dead. It was a gut feeling that only a mother would feel and she could just about lay down and die.
