She waited for Fin to go back inside before leaving the
cover of the treeline. He’d seemed so riled up, she didn’t want to risk facing
him and have him take it out on her. Ya know, with the brutally delicious
kissing and groping. Her damn traitorous body reacted to that thought, tingles
spreading throughout her belly, then lower.

Maybe she’d try to be a little less grossed out by him, be a
little nicer. She guessed she didn’t
have
to be so combative. It didn’t
mean she’d let him taint her any more than he already had but…yes, she’d try to
calm her herself when around him. At least a little. Mutant or not, for backing
her up, he deserved that much.

Chapter Seven

Navine entered the cabin, planning to rein in her yuckies
about Fin and maybe sit down and have a companionable conversation, but he wasn’t
even present and she was surprised to find herself disappointed. She wasn’t
particularly tired, which also surprised her. Really at this point without
feeding, she should be exhausted and in some pain.

Glad for whatever respite she was experiencing and not
wanting to look into the whys of it, she seriously considered knocking on Fin’s
door. She didn’t feel like being alone right now and his company wasn’t really
that bad, she supposed.

She grabbed a cherry beer from the fridge, popped the cap
and tossed it into the trash, then made her way to the living area. Plopping
down on the couch, she turned on the TV and flipped through the channels, not
interested in what was on, she simply wanted background noise so she didn’t
feel so alone.

Seconds later, Fin emerged from his room. He’d changed into
a pair of soft black workout shorts and a black tank top. His muscles rippled
as he stretched his arms above his head. She downed half her beer in one gulp
and let out an embarrassing burp. Her face must have turned ten shades of red,
as hot as it felt. It hadn’t been something she could hold back.
Damn beer.

Fin laughed at her faux pas and part of her wanted to bean
his head with the bottle. Instead, she laughed too.

“Um, excuse me,” she said sheepishly.

He treated her to a brilliant smile and said, “You’re
totally excused.” His jubilant expression faded to a guarded one as he asked, “Mind
if I join you?”

She remembered her earlier promise to herself, took another
swig of beer and said, “Sure. Why not.”

Surprise lit his handsome face as his smile returned. He
grabbed a beer from the fridge and pulled up a chair and ottoman from the
corner, making himself comfortable.

Navine tried but couldn’t keep herself from ogling him. From
his toned legs to his soft dark-brown hair, he was a sight to behold. She
downed the rest of her beer, hopped up, grabbed another and lay back on the
couch. “You know, you can ditch the contacts. Like you said, I already know
what you are.”

He winced even though she hadn’t spoken harshly and she felt
inclined to add, “I mean, I’m curious to see your real eyes.”

“You feeling okay?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Okay as can be expected I suppose,” she shrugged and took a
long pull from the bottle.

“Hate these damn things,” Fin said as he rose from the
chair. “Back in a sec.”

She watched his ass flex beneath those workout shorts and
had to stifle a quiver. Damn, the male was built. His body was exactly as she
preferred.

He returned and sat down on the chair again but kept his
eyes averted from her. “Lemme see,” she encouraged. She really was curious
about them. She’d never seen the color on a male before.

He slowly turned his head and she was momentarily awe struck
by the brilliance. Deep gold, flecked with warm golden-brown specks. She could
get lost in their depths if she wasn’t careful.

“Stunning,” she breathed before she knew the word was going
to cross her lips. Her cheeks burned. Feeling awkward and ridiculous, she
downed the last of her beer, jumped off the couch and grabbed another bottle,
lingering in the kitchen for longer than necessary, willing the heat from her
face.

She tried to be casual as she made herself comfortable on
the couch again. Thankfully, Fin didn’t call her on her declaration but she’d
swear his slight grin held a hint of cockiness.

“So, what’re we watching?” he asked.

“Nothing.” She chucked the remote to him. He caught it with
one hand. “Watch whatever you want.”

“I’m not much of a TV fanatic. Any suggestions?”

“Nah, it’s all junk. I mostly just turn it on for background
noise.”

He clicked the TV off and stood. “Then let’s sit outside.”

Be nice, she reminded herself. “Okay.”

He held the door for her as she stepped onto the porch. She
chose to sit on the swing, enjoying the breeze.

Fin sat in the rocking chair a few feet away, sipping his
beer. Several silent minutes passed until Navine felt compelled to speak.

“Why did you stick up for me today?”

“You heard that?”

“I did and I don’t get it. If you’d have just let that
Sensus
demon work her poison on me, you could be finished with me by now.” As his
eyebrow rose she added, “I mean, it wouldn’t have worked, we’d all know the
rumor was bullshit and you could go on with your life.”

He nodded slowly. “Why are you so certain it wouldn’t work?”

She rolled her eyes and left it at that. “So, why?” she
repeated.

He looked away, sipped from his bottle and said, “I want to
help you but not like that. It’d be wrong. It’s your choice. I won’t be a party
to the equivalent of…” He stopped as if he couldn’t even stomach the word. “Anyway,
I’m here and will continue to be here as long as needed, but that’s all.”

“I… Well, I appreciate it. That was nice. Noble. Thank you.”

His warm golden eyes bored into hers as if scrutinizing her
sincerity. He opened his mouth to speak, then snapped it shut. Seconds ticked
by in silence until he asked, “Want another beer?” At her nod, he disappeared
into the cabin and returned with a fresh beer for her and one for himself.

Oh shit. His scent flooded her nostrils as he handed her the
beer and it, once again, smelled delicious, she had to swallow repeatedly so as
to not drool. Sweat beaded on her forehead and she swiped at it with the back
of her hand. What the hell was the deal with him, his smell, his appeal? One
minute, nothing, the next, she wanted to throw him down and devour him.

“You okay?” he asked.

She wiped at the sweat again and took a deep breath. “Just
hot.” Was that her voice, so husky, so raw and needy?

“Why do you look at me that way sometimes but other times it’s
exactly opposite?”

“What way?” she asked, looking away.

“You want me, Navine. Right now, you want me. I see it. I
feel it. I smell your sweet need. What’s different now? Help me help you,
Navine. Please.”

She had to put distance between them before she did
something stupid. The beer was making her foggy, lowering her inhibitions. She
couldn’t afford that around him. Jumping off the swing, she intended to
disappear into the woods for a while, go for a swim to cool off, to wait until
this mad want for him subsided, but he stood and blocked her path.

“Don’t run away,” he said. “I don’t know what’s going on but
I swear I won’t touch you unless you ask me to.”

She should run, but his nearness inflamed her hunger. “I don’t
want this,” she said more to herself than to him, but even as she said it, she
took a step forward putting their bodies mere inches apart.

“Ask me to touch you, Navine.”

She shook her head but she did want it, want him. What was
wrong with her? Had Raimee sneak attacked her with
Sensus
demon magic?

“If you won’t ask with your mouth, ask with your touch.”

She shook her head again.

Fin slowly grasped the hem of his tank top and pulled it
over his head, muscles bunching and cording. Her free hand reached out to touch
his chest before she even realized she was going to do it.

He sucked in a breath as her fingers skimmed across his
chest and down his abdomen. Firm, solid but soft and warm. Taking her touch as
acquiescence, he bent forward slowly, giving her time to back away but she
couldn’t. As his lips met hers, her pussy went wet. A pulsing, aching need
burned through her. She needed semen and even the part of her mind that feared
his tainted seed couldn’t stop this hunger. This all-consuming desire.

His tongue teased hers, the sweet and tart tastes of fruit
and beer mixing together as her body pressed against his.

The incredible hunger and need to consume him overcame her.
She shoved him back against the railing, set down her beer and yanked his
shorts to his ankles.

“Whoa. Navine?” He sounded alarmed by her dramatic action.

She couldn’t speak, didn’t want to. Her mouth watered as she
gazed at his thick cock standing tall and ready for her. Ready to feed her. The
scent of his semen called to her, no, demanded she feast on him. Her vision blurred,
her pupils so dilated. She dropped to her knees on the hard wood of the porch
but it didn’t faze her. Nothing mattered but devouring him. She snatched her
cherry beer from the floor, grabbed his shaft and doused it with the beer.

His cock jerked in her hand, the beer running down his
balls. She couldn’t wait a second longer. She lapped at the beer dripping from
the underside of his cock, then sucked him into her mouth, savoring the
delicious flavor of his cock and cherry beer. His body went rigid.

Holding on to his hips, she worked him in and out of her
mouth. She wanted him to come. Now. She needed it like nothing she’d ever
needed before. She cupped his balls, soft, hairless, so heavy with semen. She
wanted them in her mouth. She stroked his cock as she sucked one ball into her
mouth and then the other. Oh god. Her tiny fangs descended. She couldn’t wait
another second, couldn’t control her next actions, couldn’t bear the hunger. He
roared as her fangs sank into the delicate skin of his balls, piercing until
she hit home.

His hands fisted her hair and she growled while sucking his
sweet essence direct from the source, drinking him with vigor. She thought he
meant to stop her but he pulled her closer. Oh god. It was the best feast of
her life.

Suddenly, a painful inferno spread through her body, sweat
ran down her face, her neck, her back. Releasing his balls, she fell back. Her
vision dimmed, eye sockets on fire. Flames licked every nerve ending. She was
dying. A painful, burning death. The male
Sempire
had tainted her. She’d
known it would happen.

She was sure her skin was melting, blood boiling, organs
being reduced to ash. Fin kneeled beside her and touched her cheek, then her
neck. His touch made her burn worse and she tried to push him away but couldn’t,
the pain too much. The fire found her pussy making it clench and flood. How
could she be so horny when in so much pain?

“Navine, what is it? What can I do?” Fin’s frantic voice
asked but she couldn’t speak. She had no idea what he could do anyway. Hadn’t
he already done enough?

She felt herself being lifted and carried but she could no
longer see. Had her eyeballs melted? Probably.

He laid her down on her bed and disappeared and she thought
he’d left her to burn up alone but a few seconds later, she felt a freezing-cold
sensation. First across her forehead, then down her cheeks, her neck. He
quickly ripped her clothes from her and then the wonderful cold was back. Down
her chest, her arms, stomach, legs and feet.

Ice. He was rubbing ice over her flaming skin. He started
again at her forehead and made his way back down her body. After the tenth
pass, the heat began subsiding, from a flaming inferno to a dull roar, her
vision beginning to clear. She might even be able to speak now but didn’t try
for fear she’d realize her tongue had turned to ash.

Her pussy still burned, the moisture coating her lips, the
inside of her thighs, burning like molten lava. On his next pass down her body
with the ice, she grabbed his hand when he tried to go from her abdomen to her
legs. She guided his hand to her burning cunt. The shock of the cold ice
against her flaming clit made her hips buck. Her legs spread of their own
accord. This fire needed to be put out in a different way.

“Touch me,” she demanded. “Put the fire out.”

“Navine, are you okay?” he asked, uncertainty lacing his
husky voice.

Her eyes bore into his. “Please, Caffin,” she whimpered this
time.

His eyes darkened as he slipped a piece of ice into his
mouth and moved between her legs. He blew chilled breath on her pussy and her
hips pushed up, seeking his mouth. She needed more. She grabbed a handful of
his hair and pulled his face into her. His cold tongue found her swollen, heated
clit, the sensation making her cry out.

The pressure increased, her entire body knotting as the tension
built. When he sucked her swollen nub into his cool mouth, she came apart. A
pleasure grenade exploded inside her, the reverberations racking her body. When
the spasms subsided, she felt his weight shift off the bed, but he was back in
a second with a damp cloth wiping her down, cleaning her off.

When she opened her eyes, he was standing beside the bed,
just staring at her. A drop of pre-come beaded at the tip of his straining
erection. She inhaled deeply, the delicious scent of him calling to her again.
She wanted it. Wanted him. But he was tainted. Had tainted her. She didn’t want
to burn again.

“Should I leave?” he asked, breathlessly.

She wanted to say yes, to tell him to go, to leave her alone
but she didn’t. She was still hungry, an insane craving to have him inside her,
have that delectable tainted semen unleashed deep inside her pussy.

What the fuck was wrong with her? How could she want to go
through that again? She was doomed. But she felt strengthened, nourished. Tears
welled up in her eyes as the realization hit her and sobs shook her body. The
rumor was true. She wasn’t going to die. The male
Sempire
was the cure,
her salvation, her freedom from the addiction.

He gathered her into his arms, holding her tight, softly stoking
her forehead. His tenderness and compassion made her cry harder. The six months
she’d been the Incubus’ slave, she’d longed for exactly this type of compassion.
This gorgeous mutant had saved her life and made her feel cherished, had stood
up for her, had tolerated her prejudice and hateful words. She’d been such a
bitch to him when he’d been nothing but caring toward her.
