Make two pieces alike.

Multiple of 6 + 2.

ROW 1 (Right Side):
P2 ∗ K1 through back loop (tbl), K1, P1, K1 tbl, P2. Repeat from ∗ to end.

ROW 2:
K2 ∗ P1 tbl, K1, P1, K1 tbl, K2. Repeat from ∗ to end.

ROW 3:
P2 ∗ K1 tbl, P1, K1, K1 tbl, P2. Repeat from ∗ to end.

ROW 4:
K2 ∗ P1 tbl, P1, K1, P1 tbl, K2.

Repeat from ∗ to end. Repeat these 4 rows for pattern.

With size 7 needles cast on 104 sts and work in pattern until piece measures 13". Bind off 6 sts at beginning of next 2 rows, then every other row K2tog at each end of needle 9x. When armhole measures 4” put all sts on holder.

FINISHING

With size 5 needles pick up and knit 74 sts from first holder. Cable cast on 26 sts. Pick up and knit 74 sts from second holder. Cable cast on 26 sts. You should now have 200 sts.

K1, P1 rib for 1". Bind off loosely in pattern. Single crochet around each armhole. Sew Piuma around neck. Sew side seams.

With size 13 circular needles, cast on 260 sts.

Knit 1 row, then join. (Be careful not to twist sts.)

Place marker of a different color to mark beginning of row. Do not increase before or after this marker.

Knit 32 sts, place marker. ∗ Knit 65 sts, place marker. ∗ Repeat 2x more, finish with knit 33 sts.

Knit 2 rows.

Decrease as follows:

K2 sts before marker. Slip 1, K1, PSSO, after marker K2tog.

Repeat every 3rd row until 57 sts remain.

Bind off loosely.

FINISHING

Single crochet around neck (∗ 3 sc, skip 1 st ∗ repeat to end).

Next row crab stitch or reverse crochet in every stitch.

FRINGES

Cut pieces 22” long. Place 3 pieces for each fringe ¾” apart.

HINT

Cast on with 2 balls of yarn. Place markers every 20 sts to make

the counting process easier.

BACK

Cast on 47 (53, 55) sts.

Work in mistake rib for 2".

Start pattern as follows:

Change to stockinette.

ROW 1:
K1 st, P45 (51, 53), end with K1.

ROW 2:
P1 st, K45 (51, 53), end with P1.

ROW 3:
K2, P43 (49, 51), end with K2.

Increase the stockinette side by replacing the purl in the center 26x until 1 st remains in purl in the center.

Continue in stockinette, knit on right side, purl on wrong side on all sts.

When piece measures 12” from beginning shape armhole:

Bind off 3 sts at beginning of next 2 rows. Bind off 2 sts at beginning of next 2 rows.

K2tog at each end of needle every other row 5x. When armhole measures 8½

put all remaining sts on stitch holder.

FRONT

Proceed as back until armhole measures 5½".

Put the center 11 sts on holder.

Attach another ball of yarn.

At neck edge and every other row bind off 2 sts 2x.

K2tog 2x.

When piece measures same as back put all sts on holder.

FINISHING

Neck: With size 11 circular 16” pick up 57 sts.

Knit in the round in stockinette until neck measures 2".

Change to mistake rib for 4 rows.

Knit in the round for 3 rows.

Bind off loosely.

ARMHOLE

One row of single crochet all around followed with one row of reverse crochet.

HINT

Turn stitch holder upside down to prevent stitches from falling off in case holder opens up.

BACK

With 1 strand of Angora Super and 1 strand of Victoria together, cast on 60 (69) sts.

Knit in stockinette until piece measures 12” (13”).

Bind off 4 sts at beginning of next 2 rows.

Bind off 2 sts at beginning of next 2 rows.

K2tog at each end of needle every other row 1x (5x).

When armhole measures 8½

FRONT

Cast on 30 (35) sts, work in stockinette.

Mark pocket at

from beginning 9 sts from front edge on 17 sts.

Continue until piece measures 12” (13”).

Bind off and decrease for armhole, but on 1 side only.

At the same time, at 13” (14”) mark the second pocket 9 sts from front edge, but on 13 sts only.

When armhole measures
5½”
at neck edge bind off 6 sts 1x. Then every other row bind off 2 sts 1x, K2tog 4x.

When armhole measures same as back put all sts on holder.

Make another front reversing shaping and omitting front top pocket.

SLEEVES

Cast on 30 (34) sts, work in stockinette.

Increase 1 st at each end of needle every 10th row 6x (every 7th row 7x) = 42 sts (48 sts).

When sleeve measures 16” (17”) bind off 4 sts at beginning of next 2 rows.

Bind off 2 sts at beginning of next 2 rows.

K2tog at each end of needle every other row 4x (7x).

When cap measures 6” bind off 2 sts at beginning of next 2 rows.

Bind off 3 sts at beginning of next 2 rows.

Bind off remaining 12 sts at once.

FINISHING
