The meal was eaten in silence, although, he did most of the dining alone. It was only with a few pointed reminders that she would take a single bite of her food.  He knew her food was delicious, as her meal mirrored his and what he had thus far tasted just fine.

But he allowed her the silence and paid for the check before they left. When she was back in his car, the rest of his diabolical plan to woo her was complete. Chandler knew he could win her over. Somehow the fact that she played hard to get made his cock nearly burst free of his pants.

There had been a few rare occasions that he hadn’t gotten his way.

None of those occasions involved a woman, and that gave her an allure that he had never experienced before. Taylor was special. Chandler knew that in the same instant that he saw her.

Even now, he could remember clearly the way his heart kick started into high gear at the sight of her. The bend of her spine leaned her precariously over the balcony and graceful, yet tortured arch of her feet in the sexy shoes.

The ones he had purchased in the Salisbury store were for her.

The moment he saw the shoes, she popped into his mind and he could see her feet in the high platform of heels. The six inches would prop her high enough to fondle without ruining his back. Just tall enough that he could have his way with her and reach anything he desired.

But the heels were much like her as well. The platform was black leather, supple and thin, and would cover her entire foot, save the single toe the hole in front would expose. The studs were pointed and tiny, about the size of a pencil eraser across the entire surface of treated animal skin.

The woman was marvelous and the shoes matched the glint of her personality exquisitely. Taylor’s skin was softer and smoother than the leather. But to even touch the sensuous flesh, one had to bypass the barbs from her agile tongue, the same as the pointed studs that speckled the shoe’s surface.

He had a feeling that he would enjoy the masochistic feel of the studs digging into his back when he fucked her next.

Chandler was so lost in his thoughts that the ride back to the store was punctuated only with their breathing. And that was unnoticed until he parked the car and shut the engine off. Taylor tugged at the seatbelt, and he noted that her motions were almost frantic, as if she couldn’t wait to get away from him.

He only said almost because when the latch finally unlocked under her ministrations, she didn’t rip the belt free. Instead she took a deep breath and slowly released the belt with only the gentle sound of the thick, woven strap shuddered into the metal housed frame.

“Thank you for lunch.”

“Thank you for gracing me with your presence, Taylor.” She smiled slightly, the greeting one would give to an acquaintance whose name was long forgotten, but manners dictated acknowledgement.

“I do wish that you would stop treating me like I’m a stranger.”

“You’re far from a stranger.”

“I know that, but do you?”

“We can’t continue like this Chandler.”

“Like what?”

“I don’t know what THIS is.  All I do know is, A, I can’t have an affair with my boss. B, I can’t have a relationship with my boss. And C, I enjoy my professional standing in society, and I’m not willing to ruin that for my boss either.”

“I’m not your boss.”

“You can bandy semantics all day if you want, but when it boils down to it? You’re my boss. You sign my paychecks. If that doesn’t spell boss, then what does?”

“I am the CEO of the company, but bear in mind that you would have to move onto an entirely different ladder to be one of my subordinates.”

“That’s what I’m talking about.”

“Now I have no idea what you are talking about.”

“Chandler. We can’t go on like this. I’m not the woman for you. I’m just an appealing walk on the dark side. The same as you are for me.”

“So now all I am to you is an exotic hard cock? Something that you haven’t had before?” He was incensed. She would dare to call what they had a quick brush with taboo lust?

It’s not like you didn’t have the same thoughts to begin with. Like she was something you could burn out of your system like the withdrawal of a narcotic drug. As if you could sweat her out of your pores and return to the real world unaffected.

“Yes. That all it can be. If you would take a look at how cliché this entire situation is, you would stop and laugh at the absurdity it.” She leaned away from him and that made him even more irate.

“I’ll show you absurd.”

“It’s just jungle fe—.” Really, she was going with that excuse? First, it was the fact that he was over her, that he was leadership in place where she was looked upon to follow. Then it was a because of taboos, and now it was clichéd?

Taylor went in so many directions that he scarcely knew what tack to take with her. Did he shut her nonsensical arguments down, or just ignore the confused stammer of nonsense?

He grabbed her arm and she immediately ceased all movement and silenced her tongue. Chandler refused to even let her finish her statement. There was part of him that rejected the implications within her phrasing.

Jungle Fever was it?

Chandler wasn’t even sure if he could forget what her lips tasted like, but he could always use a reminder.

“So now, I am not only your boss, but lost in jungle fever as well?”

There was no reply that she could give him that would satisfy at that moment, nothing she could say would take away the sting in her assessments of their budding relationship. The only thing she could do that might, and he meant might, mollify him would be to retract the entire thing. If she could do that, then just maybe he could take the steam out of his engines.

But given the incredulous expression on her face, more than likely all she was capable of giving at this juncture would be yet another imagined, disparaging black mark against his character. And if anything, he was in no mood to go there.

Her breathing sped up, just a touch, only noticeable if one paid attention, and if nothing else, Chandler was good at giving all things their due. He watched the intake of air, the rise and fall of her chest and noted the way her every breath was filled with some unknown emotion. But the closer he looked the more he could see the anticipation in her gaze come to the forefront.

He leaned over and this time she was not given the chance to rebuff him. He only gave her the chance to take another shaky gulp of air before he pounced. His nose brushed against hers at a slight angle, the tilt of his head perfect to capture her lips. There was just a mingling of heat from her lips and the warm feel of her skin, everything else was disregarded. Taylor groaned and he used the opportunity to taste tongues, the sleek press of oral buds a glide that he craved to mimic with his cock.

Then he groaned when she clutched his shirt front with greedy fists and seeking fingertips. His shirt was lifted enough for her to rub her palms over his abdomen and he thanked everything in his life that he had kept up his scheduled workout these last years, despite how busy the business had been.

But her exploration didn’t stop there. No, she continued south and slipped into the waist band of his bottoms. The shorts were a hasty change from his office attire and huge to boot. So her questing digits easily found room to dive into his boxers and wrap around his cock.

He barely remembered where his hands were until he flexed the digits and she gasped. The right hand was fisted in the hair at her nape in a makeshift ponytail of tiny locks and the left was splayed around her ribcage, just below the perfection of her breast.

Her hands quickened around his cock with a firm squeeze of the shaft and she rocked her palms up and down his erection. The car seemed too small to contain him, her and the lust all at once. And all Chandler could think was how he could get inside of her. But Taylor rolled her hands as if wringing wet laundry and that was when the fat lady sang.

Chandler pulled his lips from hers and grunted. “Taylor, I’m going to come.”

“Good.” The twist of her lips was masochistic and devilishly seductive. This woman could send him to hell in a hand basket and so long as she was the one carrying the woven wicker, he would ride peacefully.

He exploded inside as all of the pent up cum burst free in thick ropes that had no place to go. But the emotional well-being the orgasm brought spared him from the embarrassment of soiling his clothes like a young boy.

Taylor pressed her lips back to his once, then yet again before she winked at him and left. He was so dumbfounded at the way she turned the tables on him that he didn’t even try to stop her.

Chapter Four: It’s Alive! ... Alive!

Taylor found that it was impossible for her to resist Chandler. From the moment she saw him, there was something about him that made her throw caution to the wind. He was so unlike any other man that she had known before. Even with their very first meeting, she was lured to his side and no other man could call to her the way he had. Her body trusted him in the instant she locked eyes with him.

Otherwise, she would have never slept with him.

Taylor had never been the type of woman to indulge in one night stands before. The whole idea of sleeping with people she didn’t know was unappealing, tacky and dangerous in this day and age. But that fateful night, her body made the choice for her and she was oh-so certain that the chemistry wouldn’t last. Not even long enough for her to finish a conversation.

But, boy was she wrong. Not only did the chemical attraction between them last, it grew. Grew to a point where she didn’t care what his name was or what he did for a living. He could have been the garbage man for all she cared that night.

Although, she thought, he should have had the decency to stay banished to the realm that one night stands resided in.

Instead he was a lure that she couldn’t keep from indulging in.

She wasn’t sure how she could stop the runaway stage coach that the situation had mushroomed into. Taylor wanted him with every breath, but this couldn’t last.

It wouldn’t last, would it?

But she did know one thing about it and two things for sure, this had to end somewhere. There had to be some annoying trait that would kill the lust for him. Did he kick dogs or hurt people? Did he leave the toilet seat up? Snore?

Uggh, she thought, it wouldn’t matter anyway.

The thoughts occupied the entire ride back to her car. But when he wouldn’t let her leave the too close confines of the vehicle, all of the nerve racked thoughts coalesced into a quagmire that left her vulnerable to his kiss.

She might be defenseless against him, but he was just as unarmed as she was. He sought her out and that had to count for something. Didn’t it?

The warring halves of her wanted something different. The good half wanted him in all ways, in her bed and in her life. The bad half wanted him as well, but in her bed only and tirelessly forced her to needle him at any other time they occupied the same space.

None of that mattered when his lips met hers, as both parts of her were mollified enough to shut up. The only time she felt a twinge from her dual conscious was when her hands dove into his shorts but the stirrings ceased when her hands undulated over his cock.

When he came with only the mingling of lips and rocking of her fingers, she crashed back to reality. They were in a public venue for Pete’s sake! But she couldn’t be mad with him. No, Taylor had to bear the brunt of that honor herself and wear the crown alone on that one. He stayed well away from third base as she had initiated the hand job all on her own.

But for once, she wanted to have the control. Taylor wanted to be the one who was in power and watch Chandler lost in lust for her. Every encounter they had, he was the one to initiate. Today, however? That was all her, and she was the one to see him surrender to her. Instead of her sinking like the Titanic from his touch as usual.

She needed some home girl therapy and stat. It was time to call her best friend and supreme confidant. Taylor hastily took the entrance ramp southbound made the ride back to her place. She was too jittery to get anything else done today, let alone drive to Winston-Salem.

Her musings hammered at her too bluntly and she could barely stand her own company on the drive back. The phone rang as if magic and Taylor snatched the touch screen display to answer. She would be grateful to talk to damn near anybody at this point. Even a telemarketer would have been considered a welcome distraction.

“This is Taylor.”

“So I see now that fucking and running are part and parcel of what makes you tick, Taylor.” The bold statement was enough to make her gasp.

She would have been so happy to talk to anyone but him.

“I don’t think it matters. I have work to do, and I would appreciate if you could let me do just that.”

“I’m far from a bully, Taylor. I promise that. But please, go ahead and work. I’ll see you later.”

She hung up the phone, disgusted with herself and horny to boot.

Later? When was that going to be?

You could have had him. And as a matter of fact, he would be inside of you right this very minute.

That thought was enough to make her hot and bothered to the nth degree. Taylor’s hips twitched the entire ride back to her place. She turned the music to a popular station and turned the volume up as she sang along with every song in a valiant attempt to drown her libido out.

An hour later, Taylor was firmly ensconced in the comforts of her own home with her phone in her hands. She really needed to call Kayla, but she didn’t want to. All her best friend would say is that she said as much before Taylor left town.

But after she debated over the merits, the fact that Kayla could talk some sense into her, that her best friend could help make sense out of everything, Taylor knew she had to call. No matter the drawbacks, like her friend making her feel like the fool she was, and the laughter that was going to ensue.

The phone rang several times and Taylor only felt a sense of relief, even though she wanted Kayla’s help. It was the recriminations and jokes at her expense that she wanted no parts of. But just before the voicemail kicked in, she heard the click of the phone signaling the connection was completed.
