With Gratitude

Like Paul, I too studied Wuthering Heights in my final year of high school. When I came to write my own novel I was
inspired by the idea that passion and desire can have such a strong power over
us. For that inspiration I am indebted to Emily Brontë.

Thanks to my teachers and fellow students
during my MA at Kingston University in 2007/8, who read countless drafts of Run
to Me and always offered helpful advice and suggestions.    

I am grateful for the time and support I
received from Walter Donohue during his time as my dissertation supervisor. It
is fair to say the story of Run to Me would not be what it is today without his
many suggestions and guidance.

Thanks to my friends and fellow writers
Elizabeth and Rachel who read the manuscript drafts and offered me their
wonderful proofreading and editing skills, along with their ideas and
encouragement.

With deep gratitude I thank my family –
Mum, Dad, Kate and Wally – for their unwavering support, encouragement and
love.
