I park my truck and head inside, going straight for an empty stool at the corner of the bar. A tall, slender blonde-haired woman is working. She’s wearing a short blue-jean skirt and a t-shirt, if you can call it that. It’s so short her belly button is showing and her cleavage is on full display.

“What can I get you, handsome,” she asks leaning on the bar so that her tits are right in my face.

“Shot of Jack and a Bud Light. And keep em’ comin’.” I don’t give a shit about anything but trying to kill the burn in my chest.

“Rough night?” She puts a shot glass in front of me and fills it with the amber liquid that is going to help me forget.

“Something like that.” I slam back the shot and welcome the burn down my throat into my gut. She sets my beer in front of me. I push the shot glass back her way and indicate with my pointer finger for her to pour me another. I should save her the trouble by buying the whole damn bottle.

She pours another. “My name’s Sara. If you need anything, just holler.” She winks, and then turns to serve a group of college guys. Richmond is a pretty small town. And with it being a college town, it’s crawling with students when school is in. Thank god, it’s Monday and it’s only a half crowd.

The night passes with a lot of beer and even more shots. No matter what I do, the images of Gabby with dip-shit are on a constant replay in mind. I knew it would be hard to sit back and watch, but I never thought it would feel as if my world was crumbling. Gabby is so sweet and innocent. She doesn’t have a clue how sexy she is, even when she’s in a plain shirt and jeans.
How are you supposed to drink her out of your mind when she’s all you’re thinking about? Dumbass.

Girls keep coming up, brushing against me, wanting to dance. I shrug them off and down another shot. I just want to sit here, get fucking plastered, and try to figure out how in the hell I’m going to make it through this.

“Who you trying to drink out of your mind tonight, sexy?” Sara’s words startle me out of my own personal hell, the live motion picture on constant replay in my head.

What do I say to that?
The girl that I’ve been in love with for the past five years? The same one I told days ago that I could never be with? The girl that is currently fuck

“None of your damn business. Another shot.”

Another shot downed.

“I can help you with that, you know.” She licks her lips and my right brow shoots to my hairline. “I get off in thirty minutes. I can give you a ride…home.”

“Thanks for the offer, but no thanks.”

Do I want her help getting Gabby off my mind? She sure didn’t wait long to jump in the bed with someone after telling me she was in love with me.
How can you say you’re in love with someone, and then make out with another guy a few days later?
The same way you have for years. You love her, yet you’ve fucked how many girls?
Maybe that’s what I need to do…fuck to forget.

My sight is blurred, body numb. So, why isn’t the raging pain in my chest gone? Why are thoughts of Gabby still in the forefront of my mind? I did the right thing…right? It could never work with us. She and Josh are too important and nothing is worth coming in between that. Even if it means my fucking heart hurts. It’ll pass eventually. I just need to stay drunk and find some willing woman to bury myself inside.

A dark haired girl presses up against my side. “Need some company?”

My chest constricts tighter. Definitely not dark hair. It’s too close to Gabby’s. “No, thanks.” Next.

“Whatever. Your loss.” She stomps off, back to her group of friends.

I down my beer, signaling for another.

A skinny redhead slides onto the stool next to me. “Shot of tequila, please.” She places her order then looks around the bar. Her eyes lock on me, dark brown.

No curves. No dark hair. And no green eyes. As far from Gabby as I can get. Now I just need to get her under me. See if I can finally get HER out of my fuckin’ head.

Chapter Five

*Gabby*

It’s late afternoon, Brandon and I are done with classes for the day. He and I are lying in my bed after a round of hot sex. I’m lying with my head on his chest and he’s running his fingers through my hair.

“What do you wanna do tonight since it’s your night off?” He asks, twirling my hair with his finger.

“I don’t really care as long as I get to spend time with you. I haven’t gotten to see you much this week.” I still think about Cam a lot, but it’s getting to be a little less when Brandon’s around, so this week sucked. We’ve both been busy with studying for midterms and me with work, on top of school. It’s been almost a month now since we started seeing each other

well, when we can squeeze in a little time. Most of that time we can’t keep our hands off each other. I lean over him and peck him on the lips, crossing my arms on his chest, and resting my chin on one of them. “What do you want to do?”

“I know what I want right now.” He thrusts his hips up and I feel he’s starting to get hard.

“Again?” I giggle. I love how he always wants me.

“Babe, you’re on top of me.” He reaches down with both hands, cupping my ass and squeezes. Leaning up he captures my lips in a rough kiss, biting down on my bottom lip, and then soothing it with a swipe of his tongue.

“Mmm.” I’ve never had a rough lover before, but it turns out I love it.

He slams his hand over on my nightstand and opens the drawer, reaching inside, fumbling around. “Ow, shit, what in the hell is in here? I just got a fucking paper cut.” My brows pinch together in confusion. He pulls out a very familiar pink birthday card.

How am I going to explain this one?

What’s this?” He opens it and I can tell as soon as he sees it’s from Cam. His jaw starts ticking and his eyes blaze over at me. “What the fuck are you doing with a card from him?” He pushes me off him, stands, and starts putting his clothes back on. “You have feelings for him, Gabby?”

“It’s nothing. I completely forgot that it was there. I’ve had it since I was younger.”
Great, that sounds so much better. Shit. How do I say this without pissing him off and hiding that I’m in love with Cam? Fuck. Was. Was in love with him.
My stomach tightens and bile starts a slow rise up my throat. “That didn’t come out right. Please, Brandon, I forgot about it. I’ll throw it away later.”
Or just move it to some place that he won’t find it.

“Are you sure it means nothing?” He’s holding his shorts in his hands ready to put them on and take off.

There’s only one way I can take his mind off this and get him to forget all about it. Mission Seduction, now in order. I climb out of bed and wrap my arms around him. Standing on my tippy-toes, I brush my lips across his, “I’m sure.” I trace his lips with my tongue. “I know what I want to do right now.”

Brandon drops his shorts and reaches around, cupping my bottom in his hands. “Oh yeah? What’s that, babe?”

Distraction. Card forgotten about. Score!

“I want to spend another hour in bed with you, and then how about we go out dancing and have a few drinks?”

“Mmm, I think we can do that. How do you want to spend our time there?” He nods towards my bed.

I know he wants me to say it. He’s made it well known that he likes it when I voice what I want. And right now, I
want
to get his mind, and mine for that matter, as far away from Cam and that card as I can. The best way…sex. I don’t want Brandon to see through me, see the pain that is still there, my broken heart, and most of all that I am madly, deeply in love with my brother’s best friend. A stab of guilt hits me full force in my gut.
You’re using him.
No, I have to get to know him before feelings will develop. You can’t love someone overnight, just like you can’t unlove them either. It takes time, that’s all I need, a little more time.

“How about I just show you?” I spin him around and shove him down on the bed so he’s lying on his back. “You won’t be needing these.” I pull his boxers down. He raises his hips to help. I lean up and whisper in his ear. “I know how much you love my mouth, so I figured we’d start there.” I bite his earlobe, kiss that sensitive spot behind the ear, then work my way kissing and biting down his neck and lick his collarbone.

“God, you drive me crazy.” He pulls my lips up to his and takes them in a wild kiss full of hunger.

Sitting up, I rub my hands up and down his chest. Then, bending over, I kiss down his chest and slowly work my way down his body, nibbling, licking, and pulling groans from him. I run my tongue around the crown of his cock, drawing a deep moan from him. I slowly slide him in my mouth, taking him inch by inch, moving my tongue in circular motions on the underside as I work him deeper and deeper in my mouth.

Would Cam fit in my mouth? Oh. My. God. Stop thinking about him!
Wanting to erase thoughts of Cam spurs me on faster. I make quicker strokes and suck harder.

Brandon grips my hair in both his fists. “You’re so good at that, Gabby,” he moans through gritted teeth. His legs and stomach muscles visibly tense with each wet stroke of my tongue. “Oh, fuck. Not going to last!”

I grip his balls, rolling them in my hand.

“Enough.” Brandon grabs my shoulders and drags me up his body, taking my lips in a heated kiss. “You and that wicked mouth. On your hands and knees. Wanna finish in the tight pussy.” He smacks my ass when I push it up in the air, drawing a gasp from me and causing more moisture between my thighs.

The sound of a condom being ripped open echoes throughout the room. A few seconds later Brandon rams into me, and I moan. Gripping my hips in both hands, he sets a punishing rhythm, slowly pulling out and slamming back in, and then grinding against my most sensitive part. “You like that, don’t you? I can feel your pussy squeezing my dick, begging for more.”

“Yes!” I claw at the sheets, fisting both hands, hanging on. “Harder, Brandon, faster.” Make it hurt, feel a different kind of pain.

Brandon loses it and starts pounding into me, holding nothing back, slapping my ass, and causing me to grip him tighter. “Tell me how much you like my dick, Gabby.”

“Oh god” I groan.

“Tell me, Gabby.” He smacks my ass again.

“I like your dick, Brandon!” I scream out right before pleasure consumes my whole body. The power of my orgasm has me ready to collapse, and if it wasn’t for Brandon’s hold on my hips, I would be flat on the bed.

It doesn’t take long and Brandon follows my release. With one final thrust, he groans and stills, seated as deep in me as he can go. He releases his grip on me and we both fall to the bed. Brandon falls to the side so he’s not on me.

We lay there trying to catch our breath. I move my head on Brandon’s chest and hear his heart pounding at first, then listening as it slows.

“How about we take a shower? Then we can stop and get something to eat before we go to the bar.” He tucks a strand of hair behind my ear and kisses my lips.

“Mmm.”

“Is that a, yes?”

“Mmm.”

He chuckles. “Is that all you can say?”

“Mmm.”

Before I know what’s happening I’m over Brandon’s shoulder and he’s carrying me to the bathroom.

“Hey, I can walk!”

“She speaks!” He slaps me on the ass.

The sting of his hand zips through my body, sending moisture pooling in my core once again.

“You really like smacking my ass, don’t you?”

“Ass that good needs to be smacked.” He lands one more smack to prove his words.

I can’t bite back the moan that slips out between my lips from the mixture of his dirty mouth and the sting of his palm on my ass.

Chapter Six

*Gabby*

“You grab a table and I’ll get our drinks. What do you want, babe?”

“A shot and a beer. Do one with me?” It’s weird being out drinking without Tiff; she’s my partner in crime.

“Okay.” Brandon winks and turns to head to the bar.

I finally find a table in the back corner. Sitting down, I watch all the bodies move on the dance floor. It’s Thursday night, also known as College Night, so the place is packed. Seeing the couples grind and dance on each other reminds me of the delicious ache between my legs and makes me think of the things Brandon did to me with his mouth and tongue in the shower. My panties dampen at the thought and warmth spreads throughout my body.

“Here you go. Shot of Jack okay?” Brandon sets a shot and a beer in front of me.

“Perfect.” I raise my glass and slam it down. The slow burn runs down the back of my throat, I chase it with a big gulp of my beer to cool it.

“I’m going to run to the bathroom. When I get back, we’ll dance.” Brandon is already up and out of his seat heading through the crowd.

My brows pinch in confusion. Already?

Sitting and people watching, I spot the one person I really didn’t want to see. Leaning back against the bar, dark hair in a mussed up mess, jeans that hug him in all the right places, a tight black t-shirt, and cowboy boots. I can’t fight the warmth that spreads through my chest and the thousands of fireflies dancing in my stomach at the sight of him.
He doesn’t want you.
My chest aches and I quickly look away. How do you tell your body and heart “no” when they are fighting against everything your mind tells you?
