Veggie-All

Ingredients

1 beet

2 stalks celery

1 green bell pepper

1 large cucumber

lemon (juiced, to taste)

1 tsp. olive oil

Juice and mix (shake) with olive oil.

Olive oil is a phytonutrient powerhouse and also helps the body absorb the many vitamins and

minerals in the other vegetables.

You might want to play with the amount of green bell pepper here because sometimes the flavor can

completely take over, or perhaps use a yellow or red pepper since they have a fruitier flavor.

Sometimes I even add a couple of carrots to sweeten the lot.

Green King

Ingredients

1 crown broccoli

1 green apple

1 bunch green grapes

2 handfuls spinach

2 large leaves collard greens

Juice.

Where would we be without a solid green drink? I introduce you to a king and his crown… of

broccoli?

Absolutely. Broccoli, the miracle food, packs the most nutritional punch of any vegetable, and it meets

your complete fiber need providing both soluble and insoluble fiber. Green grapes are a natural

antihistamine and despite their tiny stature, they really add quite a bit of sweetness. A juice fit for a

king.

Rocket Fuel

Ingredients

2 oz. (juiced) wheatgrass (or kale)

2 handfuls arugala

1–2 oranges (peeled)

Juice.

All the energy and alertness provided by a shot of espresso without the shakes and eventual crash—

this is what you can find in wheatgrass.

Wheatgrass is a high-alkaline, nutritionally dense green with a fairly potent flavor that some people

have a hard time acclimating to; that’s why you’ll often find it paired with fresh orange slices at your

local fresh juice bar. Not to mention it infuses the already high vitamin content with a significant

amount of immune-boosting vitamin C.

Green Clean

Ingredients

1 lime

1 lemon

1 large cucumber

1 handful basil

1 handful mint

2 handfuls spinach

ginger to taste

Juice.

This one begs to be put into a giant ice-filled punch bowl and ladled into frosty glasses poolside.

You’ll never know your body is detoxifying as you gulp this delicious summer treat. Some folks may

find it a bit too sour, so try adding an apple or two if that’s the case.

Not only do we have great flavor, high amounts of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, Green Clean

is one of the most aromatically appealing drinks in this book. Crisp, clean, refreshing.
