The immunity that female vampires gain from expelling the toxin also wreaked havoc with the males system. Male vampires did not react as violently as humans did when coming in contact with their body fluids, but the males were still laid up days afterwards with their movements noticeably slowed. It is because of this the male vampires generally preferred the company of other males. Irina did not care about their discomfort of course, since she was tasked by Drac himself to keep their numbers up. Irina had tried different methods of insemination, but they had all proven ineffective. The DNA they needed could not survive outside the body. Irina did the only thing she could have done since she took power; she extracted it forcefully no matter stupid Josef’s complaints. She only wished males were fertile more than twice a year. Josef was a big part of the future of their survival but he wanted to be difficult, based on the fact that he felt like a prisoner because he wasn’t allowed to leave the compound. Inside the compound his every desire was granted. Human males were even snuck into the compound for his pleasure.  It made Irina smile though that the young males were coming along happily. They were segregated from Josef and were taught about their role early, and they seemed proud by the fact they could contribute. They were still at least three years off from puberty though. One would remain here and the other would be sent to the east coast, to help out the school there. They were what that the vampires needed; Irina only could wish that Delores Cranberry’s unborn would be as agreeable.

Delores Cranberry also weighed on Irina’s mind, at least the conversation they had together had. Due to Delores job as a detective, she had been the only one of the pack to come and go to the surface. Delores had come to her crying; saying something about ruining some human’s life. Why Delores cared suddenly about human life was beyond Irina, she just figured it had something to do with being pregnant. Delores told her of the attack on the young human. She was adamant that he had all types of scrapes and bruises during her attack, but did not succumb to the toxins in her fluids. Irina had written it off that the boy was lucky, but the next part of the conversation intrigued her. Delores was positive after she began to feed off of the human he had fought back until she rendered him unconscious. Only a vampire could have had the power to mount some type of defense after the bite of a female Vampire. But things in Delores’s story made no sense.

All vampires male or female were extremely pale, it did not matter what race they were previously, their body would stop making melanin and they would be highly susceptible to the sun. Male vampires were especially vunerable, since they did not have any hair anywhere on their bodies. The human Delores described though was as dark as night. Another thing was his features.

Male vampires are normally taken for being disfigured humans; well they were until that idiot Nesferatu made that stupid movie. Males had extremely long fingers when compared to humans, but Delores had been insistent that this human had normal hands. Male Vampires had elongated heads by human beauty standards, almost cone shaped, which this human also did not have. This human did not even have long upper incisors, which every male vampire had. This human was most definitely not a vampire, yet Irina wondered if he was some type of wizard that was immune to their toxin. If he was, then he may be a viable experiment, to even see if half vampires could be made.

Irina contemplat
ed this until the hour got late and she had to leave for class. The vampires really had no reason to go to class, but Irina made it a requirement. She wanted the exact same training the human wizards had, especially since those filthy hairy mutts trained alongside of them. Irina stepped outside and saw her vampires waiting for her. Looking at their faces they were all young, not yet seeing their 20th year. The only female vampire that looked older than 30 at the school was Delores, and she was moved to a vampire stronghold deep inside a bunker in Nevada. Her move was a precaution, the Nevada coven felt safer with her being with them, because of her value. The human wizard Sonar had stepped up his attacks and it was well known he wanted to eliminate this school, since the alpha team foiled the majority of his plans.

Irina motioned for the vampires to start moving and they made their way to the park. The human Fairplay had announced they would play protect the president, with the new arrival holding the titular role. As they began separating into different teams, Irina called Annova over.

“Make sure you keep your eyes on these damn mutts,” Irina spoke, her voice dripping with disgust. “Tell our sisters do not attack each other and make sure everyone else feels our power. Do not kill anyone, but make sure to leave a few broken bones.”

“You worry too much, you know that Irina?” Annova spoke.

“It is my job to worry,” Irina spoke, her tone still serious “If you were in charge of California, you would worry too. The game started and to Irina’s dismay, she was on the same team as the Alpha Werewolf. Irina’s real plan though was to see if the human really was immune to her toxins. Irina decided to make her move.

Irina grabbed a vampire walking by. “Vikonika, tell every vampire you see to try to bite the human playing the role of president. It does not matter about this contest, the only thing I want to see here is his reaction.”

The vampire looked at Irina and nodded her head. Suddenly the game was on. Irina instantly took out a male wizard who in addition to not having any offensive powers, was also slight of stature with a simple punch to the nose. Irina held back her power, as she knew the simple punch was more than enough to do some damage. Irina looked for her next victim and easily found her. The Beta wolf of those mongrels she hated was in front of her with her back turned. Irina was preparing to strike when she saw the flying human take off, heading straight for the human she wanted to test.

This left Irina in a bind. She could really stick it to those mutts by landing a devastating blow on the Beta, but then she did not know if the human could fight off the flying ones attack. The flying wizard
Aira, was a hard fight when combined with the four other humans she hung out with. Their prowess when all four of them were together was truly fantastic. Irina decided not to risk it and instead used her strength to jump and pull the wizard out of the sky. The wizard hit the ground hard and was deemed out. Irina then looked for her next victim when something out the corner of her eye caught her attention.

Two of her vampires had the runt of pack cornered. Irina waited to see the outcome, not caring about the game. Irina wanted to see the little pup
get put down hard. The young wolf suddenly charged the vampires until she was inbetween them. The wolf kept her back to one Vampire which Irina thought was just typical of the wolves’ stupidity. The vampires gave each other a nod and one vampire went with a high blow while the other one went with a kick to the midsection. The small wolf suddenly shifted into her canine form as both vampire blows passed over her and connected solidly with each other.

The wolf shifted back and began to laugh at her vampires and how easily she dispatched them. As the wolf was fixing her clothes something snapped in Irina, she would not see her coven made fun of. She descended on the wolf before she had a time to react and punched her solidly in the stomach. As the wolf slumped down, Irina kicked the filthy thing just for good measure.

As Irina got back into the fight, she noticed the Alpha Wolf was looking at her. Irina gave her a little smirk because it was little she could do. The person the Wolf was fighting was a tough opponent if you couldn’t get your hands on her. Irina looked back and saw her Vampires fighting with the human boy she had come to see and unfortunately the principal’s android.

Irina had always hated that robot. The principal called her his daughter but Irina knew the robot was little more than a spy tool. The robot had almost found out that Irina had discovered the hidden exit to the surface in her territory. No matter her thoughts on the robot, the one thing that was certain was that the robot was a legitimate fighter. Irina had found out that the robot was in constant connection with the internet because of
its built in wifi. The robot also had plenty of programs designed for her that were built in to her hard drive. The principal’s so called daughter was a master at everything imaginable. She knew every fighting style known to man as well as everything else anyone put over the internet. She also was more durable than the vampires and nearly as strong. Irina made the decision to help her comrades even if they were on the other team when she suddenly caught a blow to the jaw.

The blow rocked her a bit and she looked up to see the human known as Dylan. Irina was positive she could take him, as Dylan was very durable, but nowhere near strong enough to seriously hurt her unless she was caught unaware. As Irina was circling Dylan she saw the human Nick using his wizard powers to devastating effect.

Nick was dropping Vampires, Werewolves and Wizards alike with his powers. Irina had tasted his strength before and did not wish to again. Irina knew she had to keep her mind on Dylan since he was the enemy in front of her. As Irina grabbed Dylan's hands, she saw the Alpha wolf coming for her. Irina smiled as a plan formed in her mind. She tossed the armored human towards Khatara. It was not enough to hurt him, but it did put him directly in her way, and she could see Nick also making away towards Khatara, trapping her between them. Irina turned her attention towards Cory and saw him running to the other end of the park.

The foolish human had stopped to fight and had gotten blasted by Nick. Irina shook her head in disgust. She didn’t know what she was thinking believing that this one could have solved any of her problems. Irina walked towards Cory and let him know how foolish he was and let the robot know her feelings for her as well. Irina still could not believe it when the stupid human asked her for a kiss, like she would even consider the notion. Irina backed away and made her way towards the Vampires territory.

“Annova, Vikonika, to me.” Irina spoke without looking back.

“Yes your majesty?” Vikonika responded, even though she knew Irina’s feelings regarding such titles.

“Did any of you happen to fulfill your mission?” Irina spoke, now looking back over her shoulder looking at the two vampires.

“I know I didn’t” Annova said before continuing. “I was preparing to take apart a wizard when that damn mongrel blindsided me. I don’t think anyone else did either. What were you talking to him about?”

“I was merely letting the human know his place on the food chain.” Irina spoke, now turning her gaze towards their building.

“Your majesty if I may”, Vikonika spoke, “I do not think that is a good way to show affection. If he is what we are looking for, why would he risk whatever powers he has for us?”

“He will only be viable for two weeks afterwards anyway.” Irina spoke as she walked into their building. “Besides, it is not up to him whether he wants the risk or not. We will just take what we need. Ask Josef how far disobeying me has got him.”

CHAPTER 11

A Lesson Learned

I ended up falling asleep for a couple of hours when I went back home. I stared at the clock on my wall and saw it read 8 pm. I figured it was as good a time as any to head over to Ronnie’s. As I closed my door and walked down the hall, I could hear voices coming from Ronnie’s room and his door was cracked. I remembered him saying he did not have many friends, except from the twins and the voice I was hearing was definitely not one of the twins. A feeling came over me that something was not right. I just waited at the door and listened.

“I don’t want to get into this with you faggot.” I heard a guy’s voice say. “Just do the essay and I won’t have to hurt you.”

I could hear some people inside laughing after the guy said that. I could tell there
was at least two females and possibly another guy. I was guessing none of females were the twins, because they just didn’t seem like the type. I continued to listen in.

“Aww, it looks like he is going to cry Nick” I heard one of the female voices say. “You need a tissue? I think there might be one in the purse we all know you have.” I could hear the people in the room all
start laughing again. I had enough of this. I opened up the door and smacked Nick as hard on his butt as I possibly could with my bare hand.

“That’s a nice butt you have there.” I said teasingly “Me and Ronnie was talking about how it would actually feel for one of us to touch it.” As soon as finished I knew Nick wanted to blast me with whatever the heck is was he blasted people with. I grabbed a girl I recognized as the flying chick and threw her towards Nick. H
e was already in the process of blasting me and she caught the full brunt of it. I followed as she slumped to ground and caught Nick right on the nose. Ronnie was still looking stunned but I could see him coming out of it. A quick glance around the room let me see it was a two on four. There was Nick, the flying chick, the teleporting chick, and some guy with what looked like armor plated skin. I was sure I couldn’t fight all of them, but I sure in the heck was going to try. I hated bullies. I connected with Nick’s chin and he went down. I turned to see the armor plated guy knock Nick down with punch and started to kick him. I grabbed a lamp and went towards the guy when I saw the one chick vanish. I instantly stopped and swung the lamp as hard as I could behind me and connected on the side of her head. The good thing was that she slumped immediately. The bad thing was that I broke my lamp. I threw the pieces on the floor and started towards the guy kicking Ronnie, who was now watching me and smiling, like he knew I couldn’t take him. I drew back my leg planning to kick him in the knee when a familiar feeling rushed over me.
